Chapter 63: Red Ribbon Androids
Asuka slammed a series of powerful punches into soldiers as they charged toward him and knocked them down into the snow. He dodged around as bullets zipped passed him and he continued to beat down soldiers as the skirmish raged on.
Mugen grinned menacingly as he slashed violently through soldiers and blood stained the surrounding as he went. He Shaved passed a hail of bullets and decapitated three soldiers with a single powerful stroke of his blade. Three cyberdogs bounded at Mugen and shot missiles from their sides. He skipped back as the missiles exploded around him.
Shuhei kicked a soldier in the chest and sent him crashing into four others. He Shaved forward and dropped them all with swift Finger Pistols as he moved around. Explosions rocked the area and Shuhei slammed a savage kick down onto a cyberdog as a pack of them bounded passed.
Zika and Hama leapt forward and attacked the pack of cyberdogs that passed Shuhei and more missiles erupted around them. Zika staggered to the side and beat down two soldiers with his Wolf Fang Fist as Hama slammed into one with a Single Fang Strike.
Bulma flew around on the nimbus and sent gusts of wind and bolts of lightning flying at the soldiers beneath her. Bullets and missiles zipped passed her as she twirled her baton around and sent a massive blast of wind slamming down onto the unit of soldiers.
The Misfits beat through the soldiers and noticed another unit speeding down the mountain towards them as they caught their breath.
"Man, there are a lot of these guys." Zika panted.
"No kidding." Shuhei muttered and cracked his neck.
Asuka looked at Mugen and said, "This is a good warm up." He smiled.
Mugen nodded, "They're getting annoying fast though."
Bulma sighed, "I'm gonna sit this one out."
"Huh?! We're fighting an army!" Mugen pointed at Bulma.
"I'll help in the one after this one. I'm tired." Bulma grinned.
Asuka laughed, "That's fine."
Snowmobiles and cyberdogs sped closer and closer to the Misfits and they all noticed a strange figure sprinting alongside the others. The strange figure was impossibly thin and stood at eight feet tall with blue hair and a white coat wrapped around its body.
"Who the-"
"What the-"
The thin figure dashed ahead of the snowmobiles and dogs with incredible speed and fired a hail of bullets and missiles that zoomed toward the Misfits!
Bulma waved her Climate Baton quickly and blasted the incoming projectiles upward with a powerful gale of wind. The missiles exploded in the air and Mugen Shaved toward the thin figure. This thing, called Android #4 by the Red Ribbon Army, extended blades from its arms and quickly clashed with Mugen.
The soldiers and cyberdogs arrived on the scene and the Misfits moved to face them!
In Jingle Village, Android #5 stood alongside the Red Ribbon Army soldiers and cyberdogs as they fought the two boys in the street. #5 was six feet tall, had broad shoulders and a bald head. It had strange skin stitched together across his mangled body and wore a black trench coat.
"What the fuck-" Yasui spoke.
"-is that thing?!" Renji finished.
The soldiers opened fire as the cyberdogs dashed toward the duo and launched missiles from their backs. The duo sprang into action and evaded the hail of bullets and missiles as they rushed at the unit in the street.
Yasui slammed heavy kicks into the cyberdogs as missiles exploded behind him and he sped toward the soldiers on his wheels. Renji skipped beside Yasui and as they lunged at the soldiers, Android #5 leapt forward and slammed a powerful punch into both of the incoming boys!
Renji slid back on the icy street and clenched his teeth as pain ebbed in his chest. He hurled chains from both of his arms and struck down soldiers as Yasui recovered and sped at the looming android.
Android #5 aimed its arms at Yasui and fired machine guns from its palms. Yasui sped around on his wheels and evaded the bullets as chains slammed into nearby soldiers. Cyberdogs shot missiles that erupted around Yasui and he staggered straight into a savage punch from the android!
Renji skipped at the android as Yasui was sent skidding backward and he hurled chains in an attempt to ensnare it. Android #5 activated thrusters in its feet and flew up into the air as cyberdogs pounced at Renji.
Missiles shot from Android #5's shoulders and impacted the cyberdogs as they surrounded Renji! A wicked explosion shook the village and Renji was sent skipping across the icy street.
Yasui activated Jet Dials on the back of his boots and propelled himself through smoke and dust, launching at the crowd of soldiers and slamming into them with a series of savage kicks. Yasui continued his assault on the soldiers and heard the android land on the ground with an echoing thud.
Renji skipped forward and wrapped chains around the android's chest and yanked him backward as Yasui clashed with the soldiers. Android #5 spun around and fired its machine guns at Renji as he Shaved around the street. Renji lunged forward and slammed a heavy punch into the android's gut and ducked beneath a wide swing from its left arm.
"Power Pole Extend!" Renji jabbed the end of his staff into Android #5 and knocked it back as it grew longer. He spun his staff around and slammed it down on the top of the android's head!
Android #5 aimed its arms forward and fired its machine guns as small missiles shot from its chest. Renji skipped around evading the bullets as small explosions erupted around him. He Shaved forward jabbed three Finger Pistols into the android to no effect and Android #5 slammed a swift knee into his head.
Bulma and Shuhei sat on the nimbus as they sped up the snowy mountain. Behind them, Zika and Hama shared a snowmobile and Asuka piloted his own.
"What the hell was that thing?" Shuhei asked.
"It was like a cyborg!" Zika called out and Hama barked.
"More like an android." Bulma stated.
"What's the difference?" Asuka asked.
Bulma sighed, "Cyborgs are people with cybernetic enhancements. Androids are all machine and created with parts." She explained.
"Whatever it was, it was pressing Mugen pretty hard." Shuhei said.
"Yeah but you saw the look in his eye." Zika said with a grin.
"Kaha, yeah. He was excited!" Asuka laughed.
"We're getting close." Bulma said and the others looked up toward the looming tower.
Mugen ducked beneath the android's slashes and kicked it in the chest. The two clashed with a mad flurry of blades and Mugen skipped back with a fresh slash across his chest. Small missiles shot from Android #4's shoulders and exploded all around Mugen as the android skipped forward.
"Flame Tongue!" Mugen swung his sword and the surrounding flames wrapped around the blade. He clashed blades with the android as flames burned strongly around his sword.
Android #4 sent a swift kick that Mugen blocked with his left arm as he swung his sword upward. The flaming sword shredded through the android's rubbery skin and sent it stumbling backward.
The two of them clashed in another flurry of blades and Android #4 slammed a heavy kick into the side of Mugen's head. Mugen ducked beneath a slash from the android and leapt up while rotating his body quickly, "Iron Reaper Soul Stealer!" Mugen slashed through the android's left shoulder as he shot over it and landed on his feet.
Missiles shot from Android #4's right shoulder and they exploded around Mugen as he danced around. The android skipped up into the air and sent a flurry of flying slashes raining downward!
Mugen spun his sword rapidly and deflected the flying slashes as the flames on his blade were extinguished. The android landed on its feet and skipped at Mugen, they collided with savage swings of their blades and Mugen was knocked back with an 'X' slashed across his abdomen.
Android #4 opened its mouth and spewed a wave of fire with a hidden flamethrower, "Flame Tongue!" It shouted mockingly.
Mugen swung his sword upward and hurled a wave of snow that collided with the flames, blocking the attack and leaving a pool of hot water between them.
The two of them stared each other down and Mugen cracked his neck.
Yasui slammed savage kicks into the surrounding cyberdogs and soldiers as he sped around. He ducked beneath Android #5 as it launched itself at Yasui with a powerful kick. They collided with a flurry of savage kicks and Yasui was sent skipping back across the ground.
"Power Pole Extend!" Renji skipped forward and slammed his elongated staff down on the top of the android's head. He was no longer wearing his bandana and looked scarily calm.
Android #5 aimed its arms forward and fired its machine guns at the boys in the street. They dashed around Shaved at the android as it fired small missiles from its shoulders. Explosions erupted in the street and Renji hurled diamond-chains from his left arm as Yasui used the Jet Dials on his boots to propel himself at the android.
The diamond-chains wrapped around Android #5's left leg and arm and Renji yanked on them, pulling it toward Yasui as he leapt up and slammed a powerful kick into its head! Android #5 opened its mouth and fired a rocket point blank at Yasui who swiftly absorbed the impact of the explosion into an Impact Dial!
Renji skipped behind the android and aimed his fists at its back, one atop the other, "Six King Gun!" He slammed a tremendous internal force into the android and sent it stumbling forward as Yasui slammed his Impact Dial into its chest!
The boys skipped away from the android as it stumbled around and a shiny black liquid spewed from its mouth.
"Do you think we got it?" Yasui asked.
"No, it's just messed up." Renji pulled his staff from his back and spun it around in his hands.
Another unit of soldiers came into view down the street and came running toward the battle, approaching from behind Android #5.
Renji sighed and Yasui groaned, "God dammit."
Android #5 aimed its arms at the boys and unloaded his machine guns as it shot small missiles from its shoulders. Explosions erupted in the street as the boys Shaved around and Yasui sped at the android on his wheels.
The android clashed heavy kicks with Yasui and slammed a savage punch into Yasui's face. Renji skipped forward and jabbed the end of his staff into the android's chest as he hurled chains at its legs.
The android leapt up over the chains and sent a powerful kick down into Renji's left shoulder. Renji stumbled back as the android landed and fired its machine guns at the boys. The boys leapt around the street as they avoided the bullets and the soldiers charged up to the scene.
"Just surrender, boys!" A soldier shouted as they all aimed their weapons at the two boys.
Renji stared at the android with the single eye on his forehead and smiled slyly, "You want the soldiers or the robot?"
"Soldiers." Yasui quickly said.
Renji spun his staff around and used it to vault into the air as Yasui sped forward and shined two Flash Dials at the soldiers. The burst of light blinded the soldiers and hid Renji from the android's sight.
As Yasui slammed heavy kicks into the soldiers, Renji flew down at Android #5 and smacked his Power Pole down onto its head! Android #5 jerked its head violently as Renji landed beside it and delivered a powerful kick into the machine's chest.
The android stumbled back and aimed its arms forward, firing its machine guns at Renji as he desperately skipped out of the way. Yasui sped up behind Android #5 and cartwheeled onto his hands as he turned them into wheels. He spun rapidly and slammed a barrage of heavy kicks into the android, "Wheel-Wheel Hurricane!"
"Frost Fang!" Mugen thrust his sword at the android and sent a flurry of razor sharp ice shards at it.
Android #4 opened its mouth and blasted a wave of flames that melted the ice shards in the air. It skipped forward and clashed blades with Mugen as they began leaping around in the snow.
"Your so-called special attack is very interesting…" Kami's words repeated in Mugen's head. "It is similar to other sword techniques however, it utilizes Ki as well. Your Getsuga Tensho is very much like Shuhei's Spirit Gun."
Android #4 kicked Mugen in the gut and sent him skittering backward. Mugen remained on his feet and skipped further back as he gripped his sword tightly with both hands. He felt the flow of his energy connect with his blade and he swung it swiftly downwards as he discharged a sharp arc of Ki, "Getsuga Tensho!"
The android was in the process of charging forward as Mugen hurled his attack, making it impossible for the machine to evade the attack. The vertical arc of Ki struck Android #4 and split it evenly in two before it exploded into several pieces.
Mugen breathed deeply and spun his sword around before sheathing it. He looked at the remains of the android and shook his head slowly, "Thanks for the warm up." Turning to his left he spotted a snowmobile and he smiled slightly.
