COMMENTS!
ZeroSpearow: Damn, you realized how Quarts was damaged. Quarts is kind of a non-psychical magical-digital entity, I do plan to eventually bring up how Quarts was created and trust me, it will be interesting. Digimon lore is interesting, you'll see some stuff here.
As for the joke Comment… Eh, I have to say a few things.
She's not part pokemon yet, once she completes a certain quest she will gain pokemon traits but right now she's just a Human/Divine-Moth/Dragon. Doesn't negate to joke but I felt the need to point that out.
As for the fics rating, it's just because I'm always nervous when writing that I may write something to mature. It's more just my paranoia that gave the fic rating, although some things in the future do have some, dark things.
myfunvideos: Enchantments really are just busted, as is Wendy.
The Dark Ocean is creepy, unnerving, mysterious and just filled with potential plot. Her world jump was interrupted, she will get to Digimon Frontiers next but right now she's trapped in the Dark Ocean.
Fractal Code is the stuff that makes up Digimon and the Digital world in Frontiers. She used Chaos Control to escape the water of the Dark Ocean, if it can even be called water…s
Bearticguy7: I can defiantly agree no normal person could survive in the Splatoon World, not so sure how they compare to super powered characters though. But no disagreeing Inklings and essentially everything in Splatoon is insane, they have crazy advanced tech, strong abilities, and I have no idea what the hell the Calamari Inkantation is but it's defiantly more than just a normal song.
Zet4: I have plans for the Dark Ocean, big plans…
I mean in Gamer fics you essentially have no choice but to trust the system, and Akari has had time to bond and trust Quarts. Quarts also is essentially a baby Kaleidostick (without even a proper stick form), its memories and personality reset every time it's given to a new Gamer.
As for Quarts and Akari's bond being tested in the future… you'll see soon.
Digi626: A possibility. As for BlackGatomon and biomerge to Lilithmon… no to the Lilithmon, that Digimon makes me uncomfortable for personal reasons.
Time was weird here, or was I just going insane? The Dark Ocean is disturbing, a constant smell of the sea in the air and a feeling of darkness in the air, and time felt slower, or was it faster? I can't tell anymore.
This was a place normal life wasn't supposed to exist, it mimicked the natural world but it was wrong, a wrongness I couldn't put into words. I now understood whatever the Digimon anime had shown, it was a mere fragment of this world's entirety.
I'm sure if I was a normal human, I'd have been driven to insanity and become a blubbering mess. I'm certain my nature as a semi-divine entity is what's protecting me from the worst of this place.
I had yet to encounter any entities here, was that good or bad? Hopefully good, or at least it means they know not to approach me carelessly. I just needed to avoid any creatures of this place, and stay safe till Quarts has fixed everything.
I just wandered the empty city, it was a nice looking city if you ignored the lack of people and colours. A flower shop with some beautiful black grey and white flowers, a large park where I can imagine children would be playing with large smiles, a café with a strange woman drinking something, a music shop, and a McDonald's, an honest to god McDonald's!
Wait… SOMEONES HERE?! My eyes quickly go to the woman at the café and oh god she's smiling at me, and beckoning me to come closer with a finger.
She had short grey hair, glasses, and a very revealing black outfit. Her legs were, super revealed, leading to black heels. She also carried a sheathed sword on her hips. I… know her, I know her! But where? Where do I remember her from? AND WHY AM I WALKING CLOSER TO HER!?
I tried to run away, panicking filling me, why couldn't I move by myself?! I found my body sitting down on the chair next to the woman, and I found while I could move my upper body, my legs wouldn't get up.
"Oh quite it would you? I'm not here hurt you, just talk". She said, but my instincts screamed to escape, I wanted to escape. But I had to listen to her, or this could get worst. So I just nodded, causing her to smile and take a sip of her drink, I couldn't tell what it was but it was inky and smooth.
"And what exactly do you want to talk about". I asked, I was trying to think of a good way to take her down but I have no idea what she IS. I could try using {Observe} or my Mystic Eyes on her, but for some reason I felt that was a bad idea.
"My… benefactor is interested in you, a mortal capable of seeing into the veil even slightly is rare. She would like to make you one of her vassals, in return she would grant you knowledge of your foes". She explained, getting straight to the point. Benefactor? Veil? Vassal? My foes? What the hell is she on about, who is her benefactor? What is the veil? And why the hell would I become her benefactor's vassal?
"And who is your benefactor?". That was the most important part here, who was I dealing with?... and is something on my leg?! Looking down, I almost screamed and tried moving my leg away, but it still wouldn't move. There slowly slithering up my leg was a black oily tentacles, I DO NOT LIKE WHERE THIS IS GOING!
"The mother with a thousand young, Shub-Niggurath. Ah? Is that disturbing you? Hehehe, don't worry, it won't go further, they just like to have fun". She said. Shub-Niggurath, AS IN ONE OF THE OUTER GODS! Fuck fuck fuuuck! This is all to be blamed on my {Eldritch Comprehension} skill isn't it!?
At least the tentacle wasn't moving up my leg anymore, but that didn't stop my panicking and urge to escape. I at least remember who I'm dealing with now, the Foreigner Class Servant, Jacques de Molay. I don't know much about her, I remember seeing her on the Type-Moon wiki once but didn't think anything besides her having a nice design.
"And if I want nothing to do with your benefactor?". It was a struggle to keep the panic out of my voice, but I'm sure Jacques knew considering the smile she was sending me. I had no desire to say the name of Shub-Niggurath, just in case it has some kind of effect.
"Normally the option to refuse would not be allowed, but even my benefactor will not truly interfere with the Master of the Kaleidoscope. But I believe it's in your best interest to listen to what she has to offer you completely". Jacques replied, so the only reason I'm not being mind-fucked by Shub-Niggurath, is because of Zelretch? I'd say thanks, but it's also his fault I have the {Eldritch Comprehension} skill, so I'll just stay quiet there.
"And what would your benefactor have to offer?". If I was protected by Zelretch, then maybe I could actually get something useful from this. Even if I had to still fight the urge to try and escape.
"You seek to destroy those Type-Avatars, but you can't with your current knowledge or powers. My benefactor can easily grant you both knowledge and power, and all she asks in return is attaching a piece of her essence to you. It would grant you far greater power and influence over the veil of reality, and change your class to Foreigner". Jacques explained, I'll admit I almost instantly accepted the offer.
My mission to destroy the Type-Avatars was not going well, I know how powerful the Types were and I was willing to admit they scared me. While I had quite a few dangerous and deadly abilities, I wasn't the best fighter, I had no official training, everything I did I had Quarts help or knowledge forced into my head. In simple terms, I had great and powerful abilities, but no skill in using them. Levelling them up only did so much.
But I had to consider what I was dealing with here, an Outer God, an existence that was so far beyond human understanding it was unbelievable. Could I really trust anything Jacques was telling me? Or was this just a plot to allow her Benefactor to manifest in reality. Time to get some serious questions answered.
"Answer a few questions for me and I'll consider it". I said, if she refused to answer any questions then I don't care what she was offering, I was not accepting.
"Oui, very well. Ask away". Jacques replied, well if she was willing to answer I had plenty of questions to ask. I don't want to risk asking to many questions, keeping her in a good mood made this far easier.
"First, do you know what exactly the Dark Ocean is? I'm starting to think it's connected to the Outer Gods with a Foreigner like you manifesting here". My first question was not the most important, but it was one I personally needed to know. This world had been mysterious as hell in the Digimon series, and was never truly explained, so I wanted answers.
"It is a world of darkness, a place where dreams and hope go to die. But it is far easier for the Great Ones to manifest pieces of themselves here, but even they do not know all its secrets". Jacques explained, okay so this world WAS connected to the Outer Gods, but not at the same time? At least it told me this was a place I most certainly don't want to stay.
"Why exactly does your benefactor want me to work for them? And what would I be required to do if I accepted?". My second question was actually important, while I had some vague ideas of what Jacques master wanted, having clearer info and knowing what the Outer God would have me do is even more important.
"Hehehe, you're certainly a curious fille. As said before, the ability to see beyond the veil is incredibly rare, many Outer Gods desire mortals with that ability. After all, it's so much easier to deal with someone who will not break from just gazing upon a piece of the Great Ones. As for what you would be required to do… Simply spread the word of Shub-Niggurath, create groups who worship her name, and every now and again, go on a more, special mission. Outer Gods do not like each-other, so you may have to deal with a few cults". Jacques said, okay so I understood a little more now, but her offer was starting to sound more and more not worth it.
I don't want to deal with crazy alien monstrosities, but wasn't Shub-Niggurath one of the more benevolent Outer Gods? Or was I misremembering. God I wish I had time to research her or ask Quarts… wait, maybe I did?
"Do I have to give an answer to your benefactor now? Or may I have time to think on this". I asked, if I could get some more time Quarts could fix things and we could escape this world if things go really south.
"Hmm that would be quite hard, it is not easy for my Benefactor to manifest in most worlds, even in small ways. And I doubt you intend to revisit this world later… Oh, oh that could work, hehehe…". Jacques giggled, and suddenly the cup she had been drinking from started transforming. I couldn't think of how to describe how it changed, but it wasn't like it had been melted or something new had grown, it had just… how do you describe what can't be describe? However eventually it had finished and its new form made my eyes widen.
"A Holy Grail…". I whispered in awe, staring at the shining golden chalice. The only thing taking away from it was the strange black goo inside the cup, the same unnatural liquid Jacques had been drinking this entire time.
"A simple solution, if you accept my benefactors offer, simply bath yourself in the liquid in that cup". Jacques explained, I'm assuming it holds a lot more it seems, a simple thing for a Holy Grail. Part of me didn't want to take it, but the other said TAKE IT! It was a fucking Holy Grail, the things I could do with it…
With shaking hands, I reached out and grabbed the Grail, putting it into my inventory.
Tainted Holy Grail.
A Holy Grail tainted by the Outer God Shub-Niggurath, bathing yourself in the liquid inside will transform you into a Servant of Shub-Nuggrath.
-Change class to Foreigner.
-?
-?
So I don't even know fully what this thing would do to me, how nice. I know I needed to get out of this place as fast as possible, if possible get in contact with Zelretch once Quarts was fixed.
"Can I leave now?". I asked, I didn't want to deal with Jacques for much longer, she was dangerous and worked for one of the most dangerous existences out there.
"Shub-Niggurath's offer is done, but you have yet to hear mine". Jacques said, her offer? I didn't even know she had any freedom beyond serving her benefactor.
"What do you mean?". I was confused what she meant, but she'd hopefully answer honestly.
"Simple, I desire more freedom. While I am a servant of my benefactor, but I wish for… more. What I am offering little fille, is to become your Servant in return for more freedom". Her words shocked me, she wanted to become my Servant? I almost immediately said yes before thinking, I seem to be doing that a lot lately.
Jacques was a chaos bringer, but she could be quiet loyal if I gave her some fun. Was it worth it?... yes, yes it was. I needed more firepower, another Servant can give me that. I'd have to be careful with her, but wasn't I already doing that with Semiramis?
"Alright, I'll accept as long you agree to listen to my orders". I offered, if she refused to accept my offer then I'd not make a contract.
"Of course… Master". She agreed, and WHY IS SHE LEANING FORWARD!? I was caught completely off guard when she forced her lips onto mine.
One part of me screamed to get away or push her off, the other half noticed she was a really good kisser and her lips felt great against mine. These conflicting thoughts just made me freeze and let her keep kissing me for a few seconds.
Eventually however it ended and she moved back, licking… was that some kind of liquid gold? Off her lips. Wait, She… DID SHE JUST FORCE A CONTRACT THROUGH KISSING ME!? THE HELL!
"Hehehe, oh my you're magical energy, how delicious. This is going to be quiet a pleasurable contract". Jacques smiled, sending strangely happy shivers down my spine, please don't tell me I just got my first taste of a stalker Servant.
I'm going to have to ask Quarts to keep an eye out when I sleep from now on, aren't I? Oh well, this was expected to happen at some point.
To be honest, I don't really know much about Shub-Niggurath and my research has not really turned up as much as I'd like. So if anyone reading this has some knowledge of the mythos, some more info on Shub-Niggurath would really help.
As for Jacques… welp uhm, she's honest about what she wants. As for why she's so forward to Akari, you'll see why soon.
Now I've got a short omake, something I've wanted to do for a while!
Bad End Omake.
Akari struggled and struggled, she tried to use Chaos Control to escape the black sea of the Dark Ocean, but the darkness would not let her escape. Her vision darkening, her light was extinguished by the darkness.
However, although her light had faded, a deep shadow had filled her. The induvial known as Akari Fujimaru had died, but in her place was something else.
Rising from the liquid black sea, as if the ocean itself now obeyed her, Akari had changed deeply. Her White and red hair had turned pitch black, her eyes an eerie gold while her skin had turned a corpse like pale. She still had her moth-like wings and antenna, but her wings had turned black with red bloody markings across them, with her antenna simply turning a darker shade of grey.
Her clothes had been lost, perhaps they were simply absorbed into the darkness of the sea, or maybe they were just destroy, who knows.
But the Dark Ocean had no intention of leaving its new mistress unclothed, pieces of the dark sea rose up and covered her form, shifting in substance and shape to become far more fitting for their new purpose.
She wore an outfit similar to before, a kimono of black and purple, grey leggings leading to purple heels. It was simple, but it was what she had been used to. She wore no make-up, she had no desire to wear it unless she had a reason.
The Altered entity smiled, the Dark Ocean seemed to roar in the presence of its new mistress.
Mosura Alter was born, and she was ready to make her mark on the multiverse.
Not the worst bad end, depending on your view. Some would say becoming an Alter is worst then death, others would say it just changes a few things about you. But defiantly not something you'd want to happen to you.
