After the ensuing explosion, everything seemed to turn gray and as if everything was silent.

It happened. It happened. They killed her parents.

She immediately began to cry, and I hugged her. It was cold here, but I kept her warm. All that warmed here was the burning wreckage of the car in which the bomb had been planted.

She threw herself into my arms and cried right into my T-shirt.

I kissed her forehead.

"I-I'm s-so sorry.."

"Jim, it isn't your fault," she continued crying "Dad should have listened to you..."

We swayed together, eyes closed.

"I promise to help you take care of Enrique."
