Chapter Six

CalSci hallway…

Don and Megan were waiting for Charlie and Larry to come out when Don noticed that there were a couple of strange men coming up, which raised alarm bells in his head. Alarms that went off even more when he noticed the guns in their hands.

Megan noticed too and she and Don drew their weapons, knowing that no matter what, there was no way that these guys were getting out of here with either Larry or Charlie.

"That's far enough!" Don shouted at the men, which caused a stir among the students when they saw the men and all ran out of the area as fast as they could, to Megan and Don's relief.

"Stay where you are!" Megan ordered

Inside the Dean's office…

Charlie and Larry were getting ready to leave when they heard Don and Megan shouting, and they immediately realized that they were possibly going to be attacked.

"What the devil is going on?" Marther exclaimed

"I don't know but it sounds like trouble." Charlie said, concerned as to what is going on but hoped that it would be over quickly.

"Maybe the bad guys will just go away?" Marther suggested, only to shut up when Larry and Charlie glared at him

Outside the office…

The two approaching men, with their guns drawn, were determined to get the older professor by any means necessary and that meant getting through the two agents standing in their way.

"GET DOWN ON THE GROUND!" Don shouted, starting to lose his thin patience with the two men in front of him.

"Sorry, can't do that, we have a job to do." Jacks said as he and Rick pointed their guns and started to fire…

Office….

The three men in the room dropped to the ground as soon as they started to hear the shots being fired, with Marther giving a high-pitched scream as he rocked under his desk, wishing for everything to stop.

Charlie and Larry were worried about Don and Megan, as neither of them recall the two agents wearing bulletproof vests, which worried them even more.

"Charles, what do we do?" Larry asked worriedly as bullets shot through the door, which could possibly collapse any second.

"I don't know, Larry, but I know we need to get out of here before the gunmen come in here." Charlie said as he desperately looked around the room, hoping they could get out before the door would collapse.

He spotted an exit on the other side of the room, something Marther added in case of emergency and he knew that it was their best bet.

"Come on, guys, let's get out of here." Charlie said, hoping it would lead the way for them to get help.

Before they could do anything else, there was an ominous silence, except for Charlie's frantic heart beating, as they waited for something else to happen.
