Chapter Ten

One hour later…

Outside of interrogation

Colby looked at the strangely calm man sitting alone, as he was preparing to question the man, as he had no idea as to where he would even start on this whole thing.

Megan was on her way with Larry, as the man wanted a chance to look at his former friend's face and get answers about this situation. Charlie and Alan were staying at the hospital, as they were eager to see Don before coming over to the FBI, which was fine with the agent, as they needed to be with Don.

Colby felt for Larry, as he knew what it was like to have a friend turn on you, though his case was unique to say the least. At least Dwayne wasn't a gambler, as far as Colby could recall, though that would be a million times more preferable than what actually happened, though he could never envy Larry.

His thoughts were interrupted when Megan and Larry entered the room, with Larry looking quite disturbed at the prospect of seeing Leonard Philbrick again.

"You okay, Larry?" Colby asked, concerned for his friend

"I am not, Colby." Larry answered slowly in a sorrowful tone, "I just cannot believe that I find myself in this situation with a man I once called a friend."

"I know, Larry, but he insisted that you be in the room with me when we talk, as he said that he needed to talk to you." Colby said, not entirely happy with the demand
"All right, but know that I am not going to take long because I have some things that I need to say as well and I will be on my way if that's all right." Larry answered

"All right, then, let's see what the man has to say." Colby said as they headed for the interrogation room, hoping it wasn't going to be a problem for either him or Larry, as they didn't need any more complications.
