Downtown Vale (Morning)

When Team XICR opened their eyes again, they saw exactly what they were trying to prevent become reality. From the hole the train crash made, all kinds of Grimm spilled out, which naturally caused a panic with anyone who saw.

"What's the plan?" Yang asked, raising her fists.

"We need to draw their attention away from the citizens." Dominic said.

"I was hoping you'd say that." Gregory said, his eyes glowing blue. He rushed to the nearest Grimm, an Ursa, and fired a barrage of icicles at it. While the bear was unable to move from the pain, the Blue Rose cut it in half with his scythe. Hearing a snarl, he turned around to find three Beowulves running toward him. Before they could even get close enough to attack, they were all consumed by a torrent of flames from Dominic's palm.

"Time to play." the blonde said darkly as his eye glowed crimson. Using Time Break, he ran to an area with a high concentration of Grimm. Once time resumed, he raised his sword before stabbing it into the ground. This caused an explosion that incinerated everything within 15 meters of his location.

Meanwhile, Ivy was cutting down Creeps left and right after charging her weapons with Fire Dust. Seeing one in the distance running away from the battlefield, she imbued her Aura into one of her knives before throwing it, landing a direct hit on it's eye.

A bolt of black lightning shot from Connor's staff, taking down a flock of Nevermores. With his eyes glowing a deep green, he directed his gaze to an Alpha Beowulf that was preparing to attack him. Smirking, the Schnee used a Spacial Rift to stab it in the heart with the sharp end of his weapon.

Hearing a distinct cackle from the sky, Connor looked up to find Nora flying in on her weapon. 'Are we sure that girl isn't insane?' he thought to himself as the ginger-haired girl used her hammer to break the skull of a King Taijutu. When she landed on solid ground, she was joined by the rest of Team JNPR. "About time you guys showed up. We could use some help right now." Connor said to his fellow students.

Team JNPR proceeded to unleash a flurry of attacks on any Grimm they came near. Even Jaune, who managed to take down an Ursa Major with no assistance. Pyrrha smiled as she watched her leader achieve this.

"Nobody move! Junior detectives!" a familiar voice yelled.

'Who is that?' Dominic wondered as he lobbed a fireball at a Creep. After killing the Grimm, the blonde noticed that a gigantic shadow was covering him. Looking up, he saw dozens of Atlesian aircrafts fly above the battlefield. Not long after arriving, they started shooting down many of the stronger Grimm. Soon after, Atlesian robots jumped out of the airships and took part in the battle.

'This may be my own bias speaking, but those things rub me the wrong way.' Gregory thought before stabbing a Beowulf in the lower jaw.

A few minutes after the robots started shooting, Emerald and Mercury joined in as well. It wasn't long before Team CVFY arrived as well. 'What is this, a school reunion?' Dominic thought to himself, watching as Coco use her weapon to completely obliterate an Alpha Beowulf, three normal-sized Beowulves, a Deathstalker, and two Alpha Nevermores. 'Okay, that was awesome.' Dominic said, applauding his upperclassman.

Beacon Courtyard (Morning)

When everything was said and done, Emerald and Mercury captured Torchwick and brought him to an Atlesian ship.

'Call me crazy, but I don't think he'll stay in jail for long.' Connor thought to himself as he sat down with his teammates and Team RWBY.

"We did it." Ruby said. "We actually did it."

"If we don't get extra credit for that, I'm going to be extremely disappointed." Weiss said.

"Weiss, a two-headed snake literally crushed a bakery. I wouldn't count on it." Yang deadpanned.

"Actually, I agree with the Ice Queen on this one." Dominic said, making the Schnee in question scowl at him.

"Oh my Gods. Dominic just backed up Weiss. The world must be ending." Ivy said, laughing to herself.

"But we didn't solve everything." Ruby said. "A lot of people were hurt, and we still don't know why they did this, or who that mystery girl was."

"We can't expect to solve everything right now." Connor said. "But, given time, I know we'll all manage to figure this mess out."

"And, remember, we still put a lot of dangerous people behind bars." Blake said. "I think that's something we can be proud of."

"Yeah." Ruby said as Yang laid down. "And if anyone tries something like this again, we'll be there to stop them."

"Yay, teamwork, camaraderie, good guys, go team, alright, good job..." Yang said, tired from the long day. "So, what now?"

"I'd suggest training for the tournament, but I think we have that covered at this point." Weiss said.

"I have a better idea." Dominic said, standing up. "Now, if you don't mind, I'm going back to the dorm to sleep 'till I'm 40."

"Amen to that." Yang said, following her brother back to the school.

Little did they know that everything they held dear would crumble into ashes very soon.

Unknown Location (Night)

After making sure the rest of his team was asleep, Dominic snuck out of the dorms to run an 'errand'. He put his hand up against a wall, which scanned his fingerprints. After it was done scanning, the wall opened up to reveal an elevator. After getting in, the elevator descended for a while before opening again.

The blonde stepped out into a dark room covered with buttons and screens. In the back of the room, there was a large glass sphere that contained what looked like a giant egg made out of stone. The egg itself was submerged in a yellow fluid, and the tank was surrounded by a series of smaller tanks roughly the size of a human.

Getting out his Scroll, Dominic examined the egg. Upon seeing the results, he smiled. "Soon, I'll be able to repay my debt to you."
