Chapter 7: Class 1A Rises Again
Date: August 1st, 2022
In the last chapter of Veil Of Greed: Hunt For The Numbers!, Swiftdrawer was abruptly woken up at 4 in the morning to a chilly feeling. That was because the United Mining Company had already attacked the world of My Hero Academia and destroyed it by first killing every hero in the world and devastating UA High School with help from the villains like Tomura Shigaraki and Dabi. An emergency plan meeting featuring representatives of every BRAINS branch alongside reps from their allies took place after Swiftdrawer and some others got to the BRAINS headquarters spaceship. When that was done, they all returned before splitting up into organized teams to take on enemies in very specific locations at UA. The battle to save it and so on soon began. Yappa Yappa showed up by Class 1A, seeking to kill almost everyone in there but Swiftdrawer, Bray, Deku, Pirate Blaster, Thrashbeak, and Zane The Nindroid were able to beat him. With him out of the way, they helped Class 1A and their own teammates take down a Nomu once and for all outside.
Now, they face off against Tomura Shigaraki himself. My bad feeling is confirmed when the infamous dark aura that surrounds someone possessed by a number card shows up. Tomura grins: "This card I picked up and thought was a complete piece of trash is telling me something. Just when I was about to destroy it, it connected with me. I'm going to kill all of you for sure now. A number can only be destroyed by a number. Let's see how you handle my new friend before I go ahead and finish off all of you myself." Dabi, the dark haired villain with some sort of mask on who controls blue flames through his quirk is laying on the ground battered and bruised in many places. Tomura spots him too: "So you disappointed me as well. You're lucky I don't hate you and need you. Or else, I wouldn't resist killing you as well. Now to deal with all these annoying heroes. Show yourself, Number 804: Decayed Wyvern!" The number that happens to pair with Tomura frighteningly well shows themselves and my heart races from the amount of power that is seeping from Decayed Wyvern: "Shit! Even I can feel the power of this number that is leaking out. This will be a huge problem to deal with. Regnes, please do your best."
Decayed Wyvern ends up being a match for Regnes and Speed King Swift at the same time. While clashing, Regnes exclaims: "All of you, please continue to stay back! You need more time to regain your strength and rest your muscles. This number is proving to be much more powerful than any of us expected. I don't know if we will be able to hold them off for much longer." That's when I step in: "Good thing I put together an Xyz support deck. This number will not defeat either of you without dealing with my spell cards and some comrades. I activate the effects of Overlay Regen and a certain lizard monster one at a time. The first grants one overlay unit to all Xyz monsters and the 2nd takes one overlay unit from a monster and gives it to another. That means the overlay unit that I had to grant Number 804 goes to Regnes instead! Do the rest, Regnes!" He nods and then, I pale at a major realization: "With the numbers fighting, Tomura is free to kill us all.. Damn it!"
Tomura sadistically grins: "That's right! I have been waiting to hear that before starting to do so! It's time for all of you to die and disappear forever!" He walks towards all of us who are still resting with the grin plastered to his face. He goes after me first but when he's about to kill me, I yell: "Class 1A! Form a chain with me at one end by holding hands! I can get us out of here a bit! *They quickly do so* Quantum Leap! Take us away 100 feet from Tomura!" The villain is annoyed as the plan works, buying us some time to figure out how to beat him without him touching any of us. We all come up with our own ideas after we split up to slow down the villain's aspirations. Shota's quirk Erasure isn't that good against Tomura's Decay because it requires physical touching which is what also activates Decay. That's really bad and means we can't just have Eraserhead restrain and shut down Tomura. As if things weren't bad enough, Kurogiri, the most interesting Nomu with the quirk of Warp Gate, shows up all of the sudden. Without saying a word, he goes around and sends away myself and my teammates including Regnes along with Speed King Swift and himself.
After being sucked into the villain's portal, I open my eyes to see we are on a skyscraper overlooking UA from very high up with dark clouds all over the place. I tried to use Quantum Leap to get back but it didn't work. Waiting for me and the others to recover is Kurogiri of course and for some reason, he's all alone: "You will not defy Tomura's plans. I will trap you here forever as long as I live. Nothing you can do will get you out of this area no matter what it is." Bray sighs: "That leaves the students open to being destroyed by Tomura. And now, we must defeat you. You're outnumbered but I know what you are also plotting. With your quirk, you can go anywhere on demand as long as you aren't restrained. I shall help ensure you return where you were locked up till today. I don't approve of prison as a way of punishment but I shall respect it in regards to individuals like you." I add: "You might have also underestimated our combined strength. Your game plan is flawed or full of hidden genuity. The design of it seems to be more complicated than most visual art I've made but still, this feels a little off. Bray, you do know that Kurogiri isn't fast enough to dodge all of us, right?"
"Yes, I'm aware. I just wanted to make Kurogiri lower his guard a bit. It worked as while we spoke, Regnes got in a good hit." That's when Kurogiri speaks up again: "I'm actually not alone. Look up." Akiza aims with her bow and arrow as she fumes: "There's more annoying UMC soldiers coming our way! There are so many more than ever! I'm so angry! All I wanted was to start my day with a sweet snack from a land back home far from where I live! Is that so much to ask for?!" Codix replies: "The pursuit of temporary pleasures seems like a complete waste of time when in reality, it can stabilize the mind of someone who chooses to indulge in such pleasures. But I advise against not caring for others in order to pursue more selfish desires. More importantly, the number of enemies approaching is 5,462. They will deploy to the area in waves of equal number. Or at least that seems to be their plan." Garlic Mushroomsauce groans: "Maybe I should have found an excuse to not go on this mission! Oh well, I'm going to freak out more of these jerks using the unique culture found on Tomapie that is being transformed once again as we speak."
Zane says: "We can take them. Individually, they aren't very strong. We just have to keep ourselves from getting completely exhausted again. That is the logical conclusion. I'm sure PIXAL would agree with me if I could contact her right now. Currently, she is busy defending Ninjago almost by herself. At least Wojira won't be a problem again anytime soon." I sincerely hope we can mow through these assholes and still have strength to stop Kurogiri and Tomura. Kurogiri has no visible face because he's a Nomu and all I can really see is a black and purple void thing with yellow eyes where the head should be. That's alongside this metal thing covering his neck with an orange prison outfit making up the rest of his current appearance. The first soldiers land to waste our time and energy. Each one carries powerful weapons which they immediately begin firing at us with if possible. They surround us everywhere, leaving us no room to move around. But that would end up costing them.
I'm so glad I'm wearing my armor directly under my cloak or else, I'd get distracted by everything I'm wearing getting shredded in many areas: "Oh so you want to try your luck at killing us, huh? I won't even need to make an annoyingly intense and artistic improvised musical piece to stop you. You have the advantage in numbers but I have a feeling you don't in other areas. Observe! Super Spin Slash!" My attack pushes back many troops and causes most of them to pile onto each other: "Not a very smart move to crowd us on a rooftop. Unless you got explosives, I'm afraid you're all as useful as an unwanted piece of plastic wrapping that is lying around on the floor for some reason as of right now." Bray says calmly: "I agree. Do better next wave. *uses magic to send them where all defeated enemies are sent this battle, a field a few miles away where a team is watching them closely after they were freed up following their win in the lunchroom* That takes care of these ones. Even I, as a Sage, am bored after a display like that." This time, only 25 troops come down and due to this, they're able to be much better shots. Their weapons are so powerful, I yelp: "Aaa! They fire so fast! The velocity of the bullets are high enough to where my armor could be pierced through by just one of them! I can't believe we have to fight all these troops! Where in the fuck did Nedib Pmurt even recruit so many or have the money to equip them with those weapons?"
To Kurogiri's shock, Thrashbeak reveals his hidden sword and because of his size, the soldiers can't even touch him with a single bullet: "Gawk! Try and hit me assholes! I'm a bird and you're a dumb!" "How is a bird able to be that dangerous? Yappa Yappa could have told us about all this! Why didn't he?" In seconds, the soldiers fall to Thrashbeak while flailing their arms around, trying to catch the parrot who really is annoying but that's what makes him so great. Pirate Blaster gets a kick out of this and laughs so hard that when the next wave, a wave of 50 troops comes, he knocks them all down and nearly us too. Meanwhile, Regnes looks down in worry about what's going on at UA. We have to get down there ASAP. And of course, Zane says: "My calculations indicate that Kurogiri and the troops have greatly underestimated us. Let's put more effort into fighting." With his words spoken, chaos begins for a short time. We may not be able to get out of here yet but all of us have so much experience dealing with armed flunkies like these troops. I make a quick sweat drop as we easily take them all down in minutes. Most of them were still in the sky, waiting to land. Even the most effortless form of Extremely Risky Spin Slash I casually send out is enough to send many troops down panicking.
Upon seeing that, I laugh and sigh: "This is comedy gold but at the same time, it is extremely disappointing!" I send out some more while yawning at how repetitive it is and how boring the army that was supposed to crush us looks. In the end, they're defeated and now, Kurogiri is the only one left. He isn't worried: "Even if you defeat me, Tomura will have destroyed UA by the time you get back." He teleports some distance away but Bray is ready to show him we don't play around: "I shall end this game with ease. Tower Of Flame!" The iconic mage attack of Miitopian origin easily beats Kurogiri because Bray cast it extremely fast: "I've been defeated so quickly? This is new." After that, Kurogiri is extinguished and sent back by my Quantum Leap band. Akiza complains: "That was too easy! I could have kept that up all day long!" I reply as I teleport all of us back: "Well then, you're going to be relieved to have a challenge again for about 2 seconds before getting mad once again as it's too hard." 30 seconds later, we're back in the fight against Tomura. Class 1A are being pushed to the edge endurance, strength, and quirk wise. Their vice class representative Momo Yaoyorozu, the hero with the quirk Creation, is doing really well to slow down Tomura at the moment.
She has really long black hair that was partially put up. She's still wearing the standard female UA uniform which features a tie, gray, white, and black with a skirt as the bottom piece besides the shoes. Guess she didn't have time to change into her hero outfit. Nevertheless, I applaud her use of her lucky bag cannon out loud: "Sorry that we went away for a little bit but that's really impressive, Momo Yaoyorozu! I'm aware of the cannon already and what it does but great work anyway! You're holding off Tomura Shigaraki by using the cannon and your quirk to send out objects that he has to dodge or destroy! Your stamina won't last much longer, did any of you come up with any other way to at least delay Tomura?" As she begins to start collapsing, Shoto Todoroki gets into action alongside a raging Bakugo. Todoroki has blue eyes and hair that is half white and half red. It appears he also didn't have time to change into his rather simple but nice hero costume: "Yaoyorozu, you can stop doing that now. We'll take it from here." She nods and manages to push her cannon to slow Tomura one last time as Bakugo snaps again: "Damn it Todoroki! I can take this guy on my own! Stay out of my way, will you?!"
"I can't do that, our powers together could buy time for a real plan to be put into motion. Izuku or Professor Azaiwa should be able to come up with one." "Stop reminding me of Deku!" Tomura just laughs as they force him to dodge their attacks and think more complexly: "If you had just been a good hero and joined us when you had the chance, then I wouldn't be working to kill you along with every other brat who has gotten in my way today. Now you will suffer as will everyone else here, Bakugo!" "Like hell I'd ever join you! I'm a perfectly rational person, there's no way I'd ever join the likes of you!" Todoroki and Bakugo's attacks do hold Tomura back but none of them are able to do any damage. Starlight Glimmer says: "Tomura makes when I enslaved an entire village and cast away their cutie marks seem like nothing in comparison. At least I didn't fight anyone unless I had to! Come on, everycreature! We have to back them up until someone comes up with a plan to stop this villain once and for all!"
Bray replies: "That's easier said than done! I shall do my best but I'm worried that not even my magic will be enough to stop him." I add: "Even Todoroki's fire attacks aren't working against Tomura nor his most intense ice attacks. If we were facing almost any other villain, this battle would be over by now but no. It's going to take one hell of a plan to defeat the guy. That and now that the villain has started running, we now have to run too because he could easily ignore Bakugo and Todoroki to get to one or all of the rest of us. Hmm. I think I'm going to hold off from attacking to observe Tomura's movements. Class 1A is much more familiar with Tomura than we are, even myself. That is a vital piece of information." Todoroki and Bakugo got plenty of fire and ice power left to throw but it just isn't working. Yuga Aoyama despite being kind of out of breath pulls part of his shirt up to reveal his naval laser. The sort of egotistical hero wears a colorful mostly white costume that is much like a warrior's with even armor and a cape. It matches up well with his violet eyes and pointy decently long hair with a nice looking bang in the front. He reminds me of Shingo Sawatari.
I utter: "Are you even rational right now? From what I understand, that quirk gives you a stomach ache once you aren't able to fully handle it any longer!" He just grins and sends it to Tomura. I can't believe even energy is unable to resist Decay at times. At the same time, matter is at its core made up of energy and there's still the matter of that Decayed Wyvern who is currently giving Deku a really hard time. As the navel laser actually pushes back the villain while doing little damage, I get the attention of Regnes: "After Kurogiri sent us away, I guess mean wyvern butt over there decided to pick on Deku instead. We have to help him." Regnes replies just as more enemies join in on the fun: "There's only one way of really knowing and that means defeating Number 804. You're right though, we must go to Deku quickly. Speed King Swift is too busy helping Ida avoid Tomura and the others who just showed up to aid us." "Damn it and they just keep coming. Where did these jokers all come from?"
At the same time, the mysterious figure who spoke to Gorganan, The SDL, and Freddie just the day before chuckles: "My proto-Annihilation Council. Just like always when this day comes during an existence cycle, they're doing a good job. They had better do a much better job than any other time before this one. It would force my future opponents in battle to maybe lose a few friends they wouldn't otherwise. That would secure my victory in the ultimate showdown. Now then, SDL. How do you feel seeing some of your least favorite heroes struggle against the onslaught they are facing?" The SDL, fully reunited once again replies wickedly: "It feels great! But are you sure I can't just break your orders and go there to destroy them myself? I want to crush my enemies once and for all! I was trapped for almost 3 years by them! 3 years!" "Be patient. Even if you tried to break my orders, you'd just end up back here again and have done nothing meaningful. I freed you, the least you can do is listen to me considering everything I know. I even know what's going to happen years from now." "Fine. I will play your game. But know this, if you don't let me have my fun, I will turn against you someday when you least expect it!"
"The day I least expected was April 23rd, 2024 the first few times. And after those times, I learned to better keep you willing to listen to me. Since then, you've never betrayed me even once." "Gah! I can't stand having to listen to you sometimes! It's only been one Miitopia day and a week here. And yet you won't let me have much fun!" "I've had this same exact conversation thousands of times over. And today, I will start letting you have more fun. There are some games from worlds such as Earth that you would love to play. Goat Simulator is one and is ironically enjoyed by one of your enemies. There's a whole selection in that new room there with a machine that transports you into those games so you can really feel immersed in them." *In another room* Gorganan is trying not to let the cruel side of him return: "I won't let that being control me! My days of being cruel are over! They gave me what I wanted, a new leash on life but now I don't think it's worth it! When I beat my cruel side again, I will find a way to escape this isolated dimension! I hope that Freddie hasn't succumbed to his former cruel self. I need a friend to get out of here with."
*In yet another room* Freddie screams as his body fights with itself as mental gymnastics between two different personalities also occurs: "You won't take over again, anti wolf! I refuse to become a mechanical menace again!" "But it'll be so much fun to get revenge on Dr. Bonesbane, BlazeWarriorWolf, Stoneheart, Mystic, Incinerate, and the rest! Kohnanix will be ours once again and enslaving every single life form on that planet will be a mission that will finally come to pass! Just think of the benefits of the revival of the Molcolian Empire!" After 30 minutes, the screaming and fighting ceases. Freddie cackles: "Its good to be back. Last time I had a body to control, I was defeated by myself and others! And now that I have the goody two shoes side of me's memories and powers, I will be unstoppable! But first, this body doesn't suit me very well. It's missing some things such as mechanical parts with software to help assimilate other life forms inside of it!" *Back with the SDL and the figure* "Okay, you got me. I will check the room out and destroy civilizations in all sorts of games before enslaving what's left of them!" "You finally see reason and happiness again. Now then, I will go check on our two new friends who act like they aren't our friends to see how they're living in this place hidden from all other beings in existence."
*Return to the battle at UA High School* "Swiftdrawer, don't you recognize some of them as weaker enemies from other worlds?" "I do! Hold on a second?! Is that Torvald The Turd, the malicious walking and talking pile of poop? But he got erased from existence by Gorganan after failing miserably around last spring!" Bray hears us: "Yes that is Torvald The Turd, how peculiar. Don't worry about Torvald, I shall handle him myself. Just help Deku. The rest of us BRAINS members will fight the unwelcome guests so Class 1A can focus on surviving and defeating Tomura. Hurry!" Myself and Regnes nod before running to Deku's side. I hold out my hand to assist him with getting back up: "Are you okay, Deku?" "This number or whatever you call it is so strong! Not even All Might could easily defeat it. I barely made a dent at all.."
Regnes replies: "Don't lose hope, young hero. We will be helping you out with stopping this number now. It is important that we do. Decayed Wyvern. I remember when the card was created in order to summon them back into our plane of existence. Never imagined Number 804 or most of the other numbers that went missing would ever have fully fledged identities. So many ended up being blank Xyz cards even after being touched. It's strange but it didn't stop the cards from being powerful enough to open an important gate. Now then, Decayed Wyvern, why don't you try battling someone who is actually like you again?! You won't beat me back so easily this time. And with Deku and Swiftdrawer also battling you, your odds of winning get closer to swiveling up and dying all together." I'm also so glad that I finally remembered to start packing Miitopian sprinkles and battle snacks again. I opened my backpack after putting my disguised sword down while Regnes began engaging Number 804. From it, I take out an HP banana from my ender chest and hand it to Deku: "Here, eat this. It doesn't matter if you like or hate bananas because you must eat this for the fastest recovery possible from such a serious beat down. This is called an HP banana, it's a highly useful and valuable food item in the midst of battle in the world of Miitopia. No, I'm not pulling your leg. I don't joke around in matters such as injury unless it's like self mockery or something."
He accepts it: "Thank you. Do they taste any good?" "Well, it depends on how your brain reacts to the flavors. A strange thing about many life forms with well developed taste buds is that just about all of them react differently to the tastes of different foods. I don't completely understand it but that's how it is. I personally hate the taste of bananas by themselves. They're great with strawberries but alone, no thanks." Deku eats the HP banana which was likely picked and cleaned by Ex Dark Curse Melvin in Miitopia, its magical properties heal most of his wounds in an instant: "Wow, I feel so much better now! Thank you so much for the banana! I'm ready to fight once again!" "Good because Regnes really needs some serious backup." I put away the chest again and zip up my backup before picking up my weapon. We rush over to where Regnes is fighting Decayed Wyvern and losing. I made a heroic warrior pose for a very short time while holding my sword up high as I took it out of the paintbrush sheath disguise beforehand. That sheath is something I put away for now and wouldn't use till the next adventure. Deku also makes a pose and we both charge at Decayed Wyvern.
As I prepare a big Extremely Risky Spin Slash, I make it a point to point out: "Deku, we may not be able to defeat Decayed Wyvern ourselves, but we can still do lots of damage. When Tomura is defeated, assuming he is, the number should be defeated alongside him too anyway so if we have to high tail it away from Decayed Wyvern, that'd be okay to do. Regnes, I hope you still have those overlay units I supplied for you because now's the time to make a big push with them." The Horror Artist nods and Deku forms a firm fist as he yells: Detroit Smaaaaash!" My attack is ready to go: "Extremely Risky Spin Slash!" Regnes firmly declares while attacking: "Ultimate Nightmare!" Our attacks push the wyvern back by a lot and they end up slamming into a villain I recognize as the asshole who tortured me and my ex but still close friend Pop(Extreme Metal) Star Austin on Halloween almost 4 years ago: "Damn! We got 'em good that time and got bonus points because they hit an asshole who hurt me and a close friend 4 years ago." We rushed towards Decayed Wyvern at our full speeds and attacked again before I turned around and sent that asshole who was sprawled on the ground to some paradise island on some planet somewhere that's very far from any civilization: "Let's hope we never see that asshole ever again. Now to deal with this wyvern."
The wyvern gets back up and snarls at us: "You will pay for those attacks! I will take all of you down before letting Tomura Shigaraki come and finish you off himself! I won't be beat by the likes of you! Stream Of Pain!" "Oh so you do talk huh? Interesting! Your attack won't get past my sword. Or at least I doubt it will. The clever and intricate design of this blade fits well with my aesthetic but not completely. Anyway, it is well suited for me and that means big trouble for you and your attack. We won't go down so easily, that is a promise!" With the block set, I brace for impact while gripping my sword tightly and making noises while struggling against the blast. But then, I send the remainder of the blast away in all directions before Regnes and Deku attack our enemy at full strength. I stand back and prepare a quick Extremely Risky Spin Slash which I time and send out at the right moment. Just when Number 804 was about to be blasted by just 2 attacks, my attack comes in and sucks them in to allow for more damage to be dealt with less knock back. 20 minutes of fighting later, Regnes and Deku deal the final blow to Decayed Wyvern before Regnes tries to absorb the card of the number through the number themselves.
I watch this as an excuse to catch my breath and am thrilled as it manages to actually work: "I can't believe it! That was a hard fight but we did it together! *huff* That was exhausting but my muscles and bones feel great after such an intense physical activity. And I'm amazed that you successfully managed to take that number away from Tomura, Regnes. I don't think they had much effect on Tomura's thinking to be honest." "I'm with you on it. But the horrors of malicious enemies are still far from over here. Swiftdrawer, we must help our fellow BRAINS members. Deku, please help your classmates. They're all almost out of strength. It's a miracle none of them have been destroyed by Tomura." Deku runs off and shouts: "I will catch up with you! That's a promise! We will find a way to stop him, we just haven't figured it out yet!" "And that's our cue to rush too. Dominic must be getting in the mood for a long nap by now. We have been fighting for hours now and the school is trashed. How are you holding up, Regnes?" "I'm doing well. I don't feel very exhausted or hurt at all. But you look like you might need a rest and some healing. It would be terrifying if you were defeated because of your current state."
"I see what you did there but there's no time for either right now. Torvald is somehow giving Bray a hard time. He was pretty strong when we fought him but this is absurd." We first go to Bray and I immediately ask her: "Would you like some help dealing with Torvald? How is he this strong anyway and where did he come from?" "Yes, I require your assistance. I don't understand how this is happening either. No idea how he got here." Torvald feels left out: "Don't ignore me! I'm here to shit on your lives and nothing you can do will get me to stop!" "Wow, a personality change. That's extra strange. I think we can beat him in one hit if we use our combined full strength." Bray and Regnes nod and so, the three of us prepare our best individual attacks and send them to Torvald together at the same time. He screams as he's defeated and then, he just vanishes into thin air: "Well, that was an interesting conclusion to a fight no one expected to take so long to be finished. Are you hurt at all, Bray?" She shakes her head: "He was very tough but at the same time, his attacks weren't fast enough to stop me from healing whenever I got hurt. Anyway, you both must help Class 1A. They are so close to coming up with a plan to stop Tomura. I can tell even from over here. Now that I'm freed up, I shall help the others defeat the pains of our pasts and then meet with you and the others wherever Tomura ends up when that's done. Good luck, both of you."
"Okay. I trust you completely, please be as safe as you can be. The power of bonds and my sword will be significant in stopping Tomura. As an artist, I can feel that vibe of it being somewhat true at the very least." Regnes adds: "It's time to turn the tables on Tomura. We won't sit idly by as he possibly kills everyone we're trying to save from being killed. As thrilling as it is to scare opponents, I'm more interested in saving lives." I teleport the both of us to around where Tomura and Class 1A should be by now. And what do you know, we're right next to Momo Yaoyorozu. I ask her: "Hey,
how are your classmates and Azaiwa doing?" "It's not good. They are formulating a plan but don't have much energy to pull it off. Tomura hasn't touched any of them but it won't be much longer until he's able to." "That's not good. Could you make more objects to slow that villain down if you had some more food to eat?" "Yes but where can we find food around here?" "That's easy. Regnes, could you go ahead and get in Tomura's way for as long as you can? She needs to eat a lot in order to use her quirk again effectively against the opponent who destroys anything he touches."
"Don't worry, he won't see me coming. Please come to the fight soon." "That's great to hear! Now then, I have plenty of food on my person even though it doesn't seem like it. Are you sure you're able to handle a bunch of food after all the fighting you did earlier? Not everyone's stomachs really agree with experiencing a lot of force alongside food. Mine does but that's not the point. I don't know you personally but I also don't want you to overexert yourself to the point you might as well have not exerted yourself at all for the same result." "Yes, I can. But where's the food? I don't see any food on you." I pull out the ender chest from my backpack and open it: "Here we go. I managed to pack a whole feast of baked goods that don't so easily go stale. This should be enough. It's amazing how your quirk essentially makes it so your digestive system is very different from the ones your classmates have." She accepts the food after I explain the ender chest and it takes a bit for her to finish it but Momo does it. Now full of confidence, she races ahead as I put away my stuff again: "Well then, I guess it's really showtime now. But it would be so great to have the help of others like ya know Class 1B for instance."
I contact Dominic through my phone and he informs me: "Sorry, can't help or talk for long. The rest of us are busy with these minor villains from our pasts showing up alongside some of the still undefeated villains of this world and the UMC army. I wish you all the best of luck at defeating Tomura and I'm sorry for rushing off earlier. Other matters needed my attention too. Bye." Wow, this really is a huge battle. We're so fortunate we managed to make so many allies or else this wouldn't have succeeded like it has so far if at all. I rush off myself and find a scene of awesomeness. Class 1A have really put their heads together and are now attacking from all sides while dodging Tomura. At the same time, Regnes stands around and talks a bunch to cheese Tomura into attacking him instead of the students and Momo is making so many objects to keep the villain dodging things. Denki Kaminari, the hero with short golden hair and golden eyes with a lightning bolt like black part of his hair decides to send out the biggest electrical charge he possibly can with his quirk. His outfit is basically lightning themed with lightning bolts in some areas, a black jacket, and some other stuff. I brace for what's going to happen next as he says: "Take this, Shigaraki! 1 million volts of electricity!"
Tomura is so caught up being annoyed by Regnes and objects getting in his way that he isn't able to dodge Kaminari's attack. He widens his eyes as the shock hits him: "You brat! Ow! That really hurt and I know who did it! Once I get to you, Denki Kaminari, you are going to be dead faster than a bolt of lightning. You are such a pest and are so annoying." At the same time, Kaminari's brain short circuits due to all the electricity he unleashed with his quirk. That means he's now a doofus: "Hehehe. I'm electric." His eyes go derpy as he starts rambling a whole bunch of nonsense. As a result, Tenya Ida runs towards me and asks me a favor: "Hey you there, could you watch Kaminari and protect him so Shigaraki doesn't kill him and he doesn't hurt himself? We only just met today but I can tell you are trustworthy." "Don't worry about it. I'll make sure he's protected a good distance away from the villain. I prefer being on the offensive, attacking enemies with my sword or watching from a distance to plan my next move but I'm still doing something important with such a task so I accept. His time hasn't come yet in terms of death and won't for an unknown amount of time."
Ida gets Kaminari and leaves him in my care before running off to use his own quirk to knock Tomura back. It's fascinating how different forms of energy impact differently with that villain. Some are destroyed, others can actually get him. That's pretty weird but oh well. I keep my ears open in case Kaminari wanders away or Tomura finds an opening to kill us in an instant. My eyes are mostly on the battle but I also glance every so often too to see what the user of electricity is doing while his brain remains fried. Anyway, Deku gets his hands in position before flicking a bit of One For All: "Shoot Style! Take that!" It seems their plan is to keep him away from them and slowly chip away at his body's physical condition as it is now. Clever merged with cautious and a bit of cruelty likely suggested by Azaiwa or Bakugo. Let's hope it all is enough. Wait a second, did they just tell Regnes to go help other people and split up to let Tomura try to get at them? Wow, that's an obvious and reckless trap: "You have something up all your sleeves and it's so annoying that you're outsmarting me so much. You brats are so dead when you're all exhausted."
That's the thing, every single one of them is worn out and close to collapsing at any second. I have no clue how they plan on taking him down with a strategy like that combined with THAT much exhaustion. They've been through so much together, it's no wonder their teamwork is exceptional. Deku smirks at Tomura's comment: "We're just going to keep pushing on until you're defeated! I'll show you what I mean! There's someone who hasn't used his quirk that much yet, it really doesn't matter how tired he is for it to work either!" That feels like bait that has both a real and an imaginary threat at the same time to it: "Oh and who might that be? It doesn't matter because you brats are all going to die today. No matter how long you delay me from killing all of you, you can't stop my determination to get rid of all of you forever! You have pissed me off so much I just want to see you suffer as you realize you stand no chance against me!" He keeps on talking from there because they managed to drag this fight on for so damn long and it's building tension and frustration within him.
That's when Uraraka quietly gets behind Tomura and before he can react, whispers something to activate her gravity powers before indirectly touching Tomura with an object made by Momo that seems to stick to clothing and skin. This causes Tomura to start slowly floating up: "Which one of you brats did that? You're all so annoying. I'm going to destroy all of you and your teachers and then your families will be next. No one survives pestering me. I hate all of you so much." Uraraka was lucky Tomura didn't notice her and used a sticky object to indirectly touch him. But wait, even that object wouldn't have survived his quirk.. What in the?! While I still keep part of my attention on guarding Kaminari, Bray comes over to me with everyone else: "Hey! Sorry we took so long but those others have been taken care of. I shall now tell you about that little stunt you saw. Earlier, I talked to Uraraka and Yaoyorozu about a little plan. Momo made a special object I enchanted with an anti-destruction spell. That's how it worked out. You know the rest. Anyway, I depleted most of my magic reserves in this battle. I'm afraid that casting a large memory spell wouldn't be feasible considering the remaining enemies."
"So what now? I have to guard Kaminari here until his brain returns to normal and Class 1A asked Regnes to help elsewhere." "Well, the battling inside the school has concluded. All that's left are the battles outside. We'll go help finish those up. That's what we agreed on together. Blaze was the one who told me about the fighting inside being complete. Please stay here to protect Kaminari and if possible, help Class 1A defeat Tomura. We're definitely going to have to set up a big meeting about this battle once it's over with. There's no one who isn't exhausted at this point, it's easy to see that. Good luck with being here. See you later. I shall help the team Dominic is on." I nod in approval of their plan and turn most of my attention back to the fight before me as they split up to help out. Tomura is still floating due to Uraraka's quirk Gravity. Actually, that quirk is now fading away. With Class 1A having had a nice short break, it seems the next stage of their plan is good to go. Minoru Mineta uses his Quirk Pop Off strategically via timing to slow down the approach of Tomura. Kaminari's brain finally returns to normal which is good considering what's about to happen and I don't have to watch him anymore. While I was doing that, he didn't go very far so I didn't have to stop him even once.
Mineta has black eyes, a short stature, and short purple hair with balls due to his quirk that form a look not unlike a mohawk. A purple mask conceals much of his face while he also wears a purple shirt plus yellow cape, boots, and pants. Anyway, he starts throwing the balls that are part of his round head at Tomura. Their own sticky properties aren't any problem for his quirk Decay but they sure piss him off more: "Can you get more annoying than this? You're all such brats, can you just die already?" Upon those words being said, the likes of Bakugo and Todoroki start attacking again to further slow down Tomura. As this happened, I yell out: "Hey! Are you sure you don't need any help? I'm amazed all of you have dodged getting killed many times each but you're pushing your physical limits! When that happens, lactic acid often builds up in the muscles. That stuff burns. The longer you go on despite that, the more it builds up and burns! Many of your quirks don't build up that much lactic acid per minute but you're all also running a lot which builds up a lot over time." Bakugo replies: "I hate asking for help. Damn you mysterious person! Just help us attack or else!" "Message loud and clear even though it featured your anger a whole bunch. I will stay over here until my main attack is complete. Once it is, you'll all have to get out of the way for it is a fire tornado created through work, movement, and friction. I broke through my physical limits several times to perfect it. Extremely Risky Spin Slash! Except it's not as risky because I train almost every day!"
This feels like the moment before the gotcha moment with these kinds of battles. Tomura is shocked at the teamwork being displayed and the fact that no one has died due to him as of yet: "I don't believe it! You brats have managed to stay alive for so long against me and I haven't killed a single person today! This is so annoying! Just give in to your exhaustion, it will make killing all of you so much easier! Damn you all!" Unlike other villains, he never has to throw a single punch to kill somebody. But doing so does speed up his mayhem in most battles. Not this one though. I concentrate on both the battle and building up my last Extremely Risky Spin Slash for the day, taking care to add in lots of extra power to it. As this happened, I saw Bakugo sweat like crazy while going on an explosive rampage: "It is you who is going to lose! Right now, you're more annoying than Deku! Take all of this, villain! Hahahaha!" Momo finally runs out of fat to turn into material of her choice so her role in this battle is complete. As a result, she ends up getting a good distance behind me to take a well deserved rest. Meanwhile, Deku has a very serious and focused look on his face. Clearly, he's planning to maximize the power he can exert through Shoot Style without breaking any of his bones.
Because Class 1A are constantly surrounding Tomura with themselves and their attacks, that allows for an easy aim by Deku when he uses his attack. If there were any other villains around not defeated, this wouldn't be happening so smoothly and precariously considering one touch is all it takes for somebody to die. I'm on the edge of my seat except the version involving bending with my knees towards the ground as I ignite the wind and ground during the formation of my attack. This scene is so good, it deserves ice cream as a celebration and popcorn as it continues on. Just as Deku sends out his attack, I release my attack too and attract Tomura to come towards me: "Hey poopy villain, come over here! I'm totally powerless to stop your quirk! Just look! You touch me once and you'll never see me again! It's that simple! Plus I'm quite exhausted, making me an easier kill! I should be taking this more seriously but fuck it, you're going down, asshole!" He starts running towards me being so agitated that he doesn't see mine or Deku's attacks. The tornado knocks him off his feet while Shoot Style hits him alongside other moves such as Todoroki's most powerful fire and ice attack.
Tomura screams as he is sent flying after my tornado breaks up within a few seconds: "You brats will pay for this!" His landing is not pretty and he gets very banged up as a result. Bakugo smirks: "We got that bastard. We got him good. But don't think I'm not mad at you anymore, Swiftdrawer! You have a lot more explaining to do!" I run towards him and the others while replying: "I know that very well! But can you at least give myself, you, and everyone else a chance to take a rest? We all risked death and serious bodily harm to pull all that off. Holy crap. I'm so beat. My muscles are all burning but at the same time, my muscles and bones are so loosened up.." I pant heavily and then, All Might and the other staff at UA head towards all of us. Recovery Girl is running as the fastest of them, desperate to treat the injuries of everyone as soon as possible. Her grey hair is in a bun and she has a purple ish visor over much of her face that is supported on both ends by a pink helmet like accessory except it doesn't cover her hair. A syringe is pointing out of her hair to the left and she is wearing a lab coat alongside a red and yellow vest pattern dress with white as well, 2 yellow buttons, and a white belt with a pink R on it.
It was shocking to see her run so fast at her age and with a giant syringe in her left hand as well: "You're all so exhausted! What happened here? I will get all of you patched up in no time after you get some rest first." I then hear a familiar chill voice say: "That won't be necessary, Recovery Girl. We will take care of that." She turns around and is very confused to see Dominic alongside Madeline, Lauren, Bray, and several other Miitopian Chefs and Clerics. Bray adds: "Before anyone says anything, don't worry. You can trust us. We helped protect your students as you can see. A lot of introductions and explanations are in order. This is going to be a long day. But first, healing must begin immediately. I am Great Sage Bray. I'm from a world known as Miitopia where magic is real. We've had crisis after crisis there. All sorts of things you wouldn't believe even." Dominic continues: "Hello everyone. I'm Dr. Dominic Duns, a scientist from Miitopia. I specialize in inventing and fighting using magical science. Let us demonstrate the healing we can do with our skills. Swiftdrawer or rather Adam, it's safe to show your face now. The villains have all been defeated as have the other enemies. The situation is over. Pirate Blaster should be sending Tomura far away right about now. *he looks over and sees Tomura be teleported away* That's the last of the enemies."
I nod and take not just my mask off but also my black cloak. After that, I place my sword back in the holder attached to my armor's leggings: "As you already know, I'm Adam aka Swiftdrawer. I reside in Miitopia and am a warrior and artist. My home world is an Earth where quirks never existed. That Earth is in grave danger sadly. We have come with so many friends and allies to stop practical Armageddon. If it weren't for us, all of you would be dead." Madeline adds as she heals me to prove our trustworthiness: "Rest assured we'll help clean up and so much more while we're here. Among everyone who came here to help, there are so many different worlds and universes represented. It's hard to believe but you get used to it after a while." Yusaku shows up to where we all are in time to say: "I know that too well." Bray then heals Deku and that basically causes us all to gain UA's trust as Recovery Girl reacts: "That's incredible. You healed him so easily." "I shall heal others too in a minute. Your quirk heals your patients but saps their energy. That's not a problem when I heal because my magic is drained instead. Magic is a form of energy that allows incredible things to happen and isn't present in every world or universe. Give us healers just a few minutes. Your students and everyone else will be good to go soon. But we can all agree that rest is in order. So many of us used most of our magic reserves in the battle and are ourselves exhausted. But don't worry, we will succeed."
*The same time, United Mining Company corporate offices, unknown location* Nedib Pmurt scowls at Yappa Yappa as he is being treated by medical technology that is intentionally hidden from the public: "You have failed me twice, Yappa Yappa. And both times, Swiftdrawer was one of the ones responsible for your defeat. If you don't step up your game, you can no longer be my favorite or 2nd in command at this company. In fact, if you fail hard enough next time, I will have to terminate not just your employment but you permanently. Your failures have now cost us billions. Do you have any idea how much money I paid for that army of millions or the ships and transportation that got all of you to that Earth in the first place. You don't, do you?" "I tried my best, it ain't my fault that Swiftdrawer keeps making new friends, growing stronger, and helping crush all of our plans over and over! If it weren't for his friends, Swiftdrawer would have died by my hands and I would have figured out who Swiftdrawer really is already! I was so close to doing so too until Deku and that t***** who calls himself Bray got in my way alongside Zane the Nindroid, Pirate Blaster, and Thrashbeak that annoying parrot! Master, I'm trying my hardest. I will become much much stronger than I was to succeed next time!"
"And how do you expect to get much much stronger when the technology we have here can only do so much?" "Could you show me where you got your power so that I can obtain power from there too?" "Show you?! Haha! I'm sorry Yappa Yappa but there's no showing something like that! But I can tell you. The ultimate embodiment of darkness, The Shadow existed until last year when he was defeated during the end of the calamity in time. After his defeat, he was split up and part of him entered me, allowing me to really begin my plans for domination. I have mastered the power I gained from him and gained some of his very memories. He has lived for so long, not even a quantum computer could type out now many 0s the number of years it has if it went on calculating till the end of this universe." "Would it be possible to gain and absorb part of The Shadow?" "Only if you killed someone with a part of The Shadow inside of them!" "You mean, like you?" "Yes like me but not actually me! If you try to kill me, you'll be very sorry because I value your continued loyalty and patience with me. That's why I've given you more than one chance to fail and then try again unlike with Smasher. Don't screw it up and you better find a way to get stronger before I have you lead the attack on the next world we invade: the world of Chima or else! With the Chi from that world, we could extract so much power and energy! It has the power to turn a normal animal into an animal that walks upright and talks. And that's just with one orb."
"Don't worry, I will! And I'm going to enjoy finally killing Swiftdrawer and all his pathetic friends with my own hands and weapons!" "I know, I know. Also, you better get better at hiding the number cards I give you to stabilize your mind. The ones with power are incredibly difficult to obtain! You were my lead number hunter until your first failure so you should know all about that fact! Now rest for a few hours so the healing can be complete. If you don't, I will terminate you because I need you to heal as soon as possible so you can get as strong and successful as possible. Do you understand me? I hate directly meddling myself with fights involving my employees on their missions for me to gain ultimate supremacy." "Yes I do master." "Good. Now then, I'm heading out to take a closer look at Chima. That way, I can help plan the attack plan for when the day comes to attack." *Back to the main story* I watch in awe and wonder as the healing is commended and so quickly. Now that I'm all healed up, I offer to help the UA staff with the media but they declined, stating they have this completely under control. I reluctantly accept their decision and go around to gather everyone who was involved in the battle in one place, the area where Tomura was defeated, aka the field area for hero training and such at the school. As we wait after the healing is done for UA staff to return, I sigh and turn to Dominic: "Dealing with the media and public must be a real pain. This incident is viral all around the world for obvious reasons. We cannot show our faces on this planet without asking to be questioned or whatever I bet."
He nods: "We both know what that's like. The media used to bother us every so often in Miitopia and Animal Crossing especially. Now, they thankfully don't. Yeah, it must be a yawn and groanfest. Also, I have a conceptual question. What would you think if instead of presenting the info about BRAINS and all that as we always do, we do one on one meetings with the students and staff at this school to more personally explain everything? We have more than enough BRAINS members here to pull that off but we'd need a majority approval from them and UA staff to do it." "I think that's an excellent idea. We should do it whenever we get the chance to. Of course, I'm sure we'll find more universes with ideal allies existing within them to possibly recruit without fucking up timelines that much as well. I'm going to pose the question on the BRAINS chat. Can you forward the question to everyone who doesn't really use that chat if at all?" "Of course, you can count on me for that. The word and answers will be out very quickly based on the mental math I just did." We take care of our respective tasks and sure enough, the others are on board with that. What I wasn't expecting was for everyone to be on board: "Holy crap, Dominic. I wish we asked this months ago! It might not have taken so long to explain everything to our friends and allies from Den City and Link VRAINS if we had done this new strategy. Plus, it'll increase the chances of UA staff and students wanting to join BRAINS or at least align themselves with us." "Absolutely! And would you look at that, the UA staff are already coming back. From what we've seen, it typically takes a long press conference for them to explain things this complicated. I wonder how they did it. And now that wondering makes me want to take a nap." "That is literally so you, buddy. Haha, sometimes me as well. For individuals who just survived one of the craziest invasions ever in recorded history, we are real chill and casual with great intensity."
After some discussion, UA staff in a majority vote agree to the one on one meetings and we learn that words said by the likes of Dominic inspired their words to the media, We also learned that a lot of footage was obtained from the battle to help explain things better. That left us all open to figuring out within minutes who would talk to who. Yay for me, I got to explain everything to Deku. UA staff even allowed us to take who we talked to elsewhere. As a result, I took Deku to Twisted Land or more specifically, Adventure Eats in Paradise Cove. After explaining everything, I ask him: "So do you have any questions about all of this stuff? It's a lot to take in. I'm glad we all expected this to take several hours at most." He shakes his head: "You explained it really well and in detail too so I managed to understand everything without much trouble." "That's great! Remember, you don't have to pay me for taking you here to talk and have lunch. If you want a snack from here, you can just go order one, easy peasy." "I'm good but thanks!" "You're welcome. So how do you like this restaurant at one of the corners of the park?" "It's so cool! I really like all the details and the food here was excellent! How do you make it so good?" "More like how do we make it so good. We produce our own ingredients locally through natural processes and some science stuff too. The recipes are from all over. Some from my world, some from Miitopia, and so on! But most are original recipes developed here in Twisted Land." We continued to talk for a while more before I dropped him off at the UA dorms which were thankfully undamaged. I also helped clean up and rebuild much of the school. After that, we had a dinner feast in Miitopia to celebrate our victory and new alliance with UA through a special BRAINS branch mostly of hero course students.
*At a time within the same timeframe as all these events in the universe of Magi Nation* With Agram defeated for the 2nd time, things for The Moonlands and Earth seem to be okay and peaceful once again. Everyone was certain Agram is gone for good for sure this time. However, Agram the ultimate Shadow Magi isn't done yet. Find out in the next chapter what Orwin, Furok, Edyn, Strag, Tony, Ugger, Freep, and more will say when they find out Agram is causing trouble on Earth and that there are cards possessing whoever picks them up. You'll also find out what happens when they and others such as Swiftdrawer meet one another for the very first time to stop Agram and this new threat to The Moonlands and Earth.

And this won't be the last you hear of Tomura Shigaraki in the altered timeline of MHA where things have greatly derailed from how they go in the Paranormal Liberation Army arc thing and beyond. One last thing, the red and black stuff I thought was part of Bakugo's hair is actually just part of his outfit so sorry for that mistake. To be honest, the mistake is kind of funny.
