Chapter 16: Emblem Charge

Pmurt Nedib appears before Dragold and Triple Gillusion: "Ah, I see that you have adjusted to your new powers well. Sorry it took so long to return. I have had too many disruptions in my business ventures to take care of lately. But that's okay because it's time for our revenges to come into play." Dragold replies: "Just get this taken care of. Revenge has become my only goal. Once it is achieved, I will be king again." Gillusion adds: "Ryoma will be under my control again. Release us to Earth, we are ready to begin our revenge." "Just a minute. I must tell you some things first so please listen. If I have to repeat myself, my shareholders will get impatient and we can't have that, can we? I will be sending my employee Yappa Yappa to your world too. It'll be much easier to crush everyone who will stand in our way if Yappa Yappa's role in my plan works perfectly. A individual known as Swiftdrawer will come to your world and try to help stop you. But Yappa Yappa will kill him, making it that much harder for you to be defeated. After all, he is well aware of what you two did before you ended up here. Gillusion, you tried so hard to control others to rule Crestland. I have set things up perfectly there for you recently. It's unfortunate that you were destroyed instead of sealed away. The Golden Dragon machines are ready for your use and some of my employees are there on standby. Dragold, some of those machines are below the WBMA headquarters. And again, some of my employees are in West City on standby. There are more surprises too. You'll find out later."
"Is that all? Ryoma will be mine to control once again!" "Yes. The portals are opening now. You go in the left one. Dragold, you go in the right one. I'll see you again after you win. This plan will work perfectly." *Hours later, Swiftdrawer's POV* "Damn it. I underestimated Yappa Yappa! I should have just gone with my Artist deck instead of my decoy but still good deck." "Adam! Get ready to be pummeled! Now that I have removed your Kachi Kochi Dragon from play, you're going to lose this action speed duel! Overcharged Cruel Titan, finish him off for me! Stabbing Stab! After that, I'm killing you and your annoying flying horse, Adam!" I have no cards in my hand nor any traps out. I should have known. This deck often gets destroyed in Duel Links. I had a Kachi Kochi Dragon on my field with 3 copies of Power Of The Guardians equipped. The first time I attacked with the Xyz monster, their attack points rose from 2100 to 3600 due to those spells. Additionally, if Kachi Kochi Dragon were to be destroyed, I could just remove one counter from one of those spells to prevent that. When a monster equipped with Power Of The Guardians is involved in battle, that monster gains 500 attack points after the spell gains a counter. However, Yappa Yappa activated a trap to banish Kachi Kochi Dragon anyway before damage calculation upon the monster comrade's 2nd attack during the battle. There was nothing in my deck that could help me counter that. I know it inside and out.
And now, I'm getting hit with a direct attack while riding Herbsalvin. Big mistake. Upon getting attacked, the impact is devastating. "Adam! Are you okay? I'm losing stability and altitude fast!" "No I'm not! This really hurts! The damage is so real! I wish I could have convinced him to just use stationary augmented reality technology developed in Heartland City. But he insisted! Damn it!" It doesn't take much longer to hit the ground because Herbsalvin loses control of their wings. We are sent plummeting at a rate of 9.8 meters per second squared. The gravitational force of many Earths, including the one we're on. I never thought going to Crestland would be this bad of an idea. We should have stayed together. Just before I black out, I hear Yappa Yappa say: "Good! You're perfectly crushed and defeated! Finally, I can kill you after all of these months of humiliation! I'm going to enjoy slowly killing you and having fun while I'm at it! It's going to be the best killing ever! I'm so disgusted that you have survived me this long and jealous that you killed me even though I haven't killed you yet!" But then I hear something I never expected to: "B-shots! Ready! Aim! Fireblast!" "Let the waves crash down, Ultimate Rising Dracyan!" "Light the blaze, Ultimate Drive Garuburn!" "Take them to the bullet! Go, Detonate Wolg!" "With pinpoint precision. Stinger, unleash the swarm!" "Noooo! Master ordered me to leave if this happened! I'll kill you all someday, just you wait!" I black out after that.
The next thing I know, I wake up in another person's bed. This room. It looks so familiar. Is this Kamon's room? Former South Area B Master, current Grand B Master? It's not so bare anymore from when I saw it in the first B Daman Fireblast episode. There's pictures of him and his friends, posters of Garuburn and other B Daman, and he and his friends in the flesh? "What happened? I must have lost consciousness for a while after falling from that high. Did you all bring me here?" Kamon replied. He has short red hair, red-orange eyes, a white scarf, tan skin, gray shirt, blue shirt mostly obscured, gray boots, and red pants: "It was difficult but we did it together. I'm Kamon, the Grand B Master by the way. It's nice to meet you. You don't look like a B-shot so maybe I'm getting ahead of myself. Oh btw, are you okay? My sister Aona made sure to make you comfortable and fix you up. She's working downstairs." "No need for introductions. I know who all of you are. I guess you could say I'm a pretty big B Daman fan. I don't play but I've watched the tournaments online. I'm amazed you not only saved my life but you even went as far as to carry me! Do any of you realize how heavy my gear really is? Speaking of, where is my stuff and Herbsalvin? None of you will be safe for long if Yappa Yappa comes back! Not even Garuburn or Dracyan would be enough to save you if that happened." Before I go on about the discussions, let me describe the appearances of every relevant person during this trip to Crestland and West City because we detected some number cards and decided to investigate.
First, there's Kagero. His B Daman is Detonate Wolg, a wolf B Daman. He has has almost purple like long gray hair that is shaped like a tail in the back, reddish brown eyes, tan skin, short sleeves blue shirt with light colored buttons, gray pants featuring red belts connected to suspenders, and maroon boots. This is going to take a minute. Please bare with me. Feel free to reference this section in case you get a little lost. I need to make that character list I made much more detailed. Then there's Mitsuru. His B Daman is Slot Stinger. He has caramel brown hair, green eyes, tan skin, a yellow shirt with blue stripes, green furred vest, orange belt, blue pants, blue and yellow stripped thigh high socks, green shoes, and a blue headphone. Subaru is a B shot with Sonic Dravise as his partner. He has pale skin, dark blue hair, blue eyes, black clothing tucked in his shirt, rolled up sleeve golden button vest, black gloves, purple shirt, black armband, white pants, and black-gray boots. Yukihide's partner is Across Eagle. He has long brown hair, brown eyes, glasses, a white long sleeved dress shirt, bright orange sleeveless vest, gray jeans, and orange shoes.
Aona has mid length teal hair and eyes, tan skin, a pale pink headband, elbow length layered yellow with orange buttons sleeved jacket, blue dress, and peach red boots. Gogyo is Kamon, Ryoma, and Aona's father. He has average black hair, brown eyes, tan skin, black pants, a vested light blue long sleeved shirt, and a orange explorers hat. He also runs a B Daman shop. His wife is archeologist Himiko. She has blue eyes, tan skin, long red hair, and a typical archeologist outfit like in many cartoons and anime. Bakuga, the West Area B Master is always with the white Tiger Kreis Raydra. He has average platinum blonde hair, white gray eyes, lighter tanned skin, a gray vest with light purple over a light blue shirt, rolled up sleeves, beige pants, and dark red shoes. Jenta and Dashing Tankshell watch over the North area of Crestland. He has orange striped purple hair, green eyes, tan skin, a dark green t-shirt over a black short sleeved one plus a yellow one, black and orange belt, silver buckle, orange camouflage patterned pants, and purple and white sneakers. Ryoma has dark green hair, red-violet eyes, tan skin, blue shawl with yellow designs, long sleeves black shirt with white patterns, black belt with blue metal parts, black pants with red flame patterns, and gray shoes.
Hagataki is the leader of the Master Guardians who served Ryoma. He wears all black and has blonde hair and tan skin. Akari was brainwashed into helping Ryoma as Agent Chaos. She has long dark pink hair, blue eyes, lighter tan skin, and a casual outfit. Basara and Stream Drazeros are a dangerous pair, most of the time. He has red hair, golden eyes, tan skin, a furred black coat, variant of dark green shirt, several belts, black pants, and brown boots. Naoya and Force Dragran have caused quite the trouble in the past. He has mid length silver hair, green eyes, multiple dress shirts of blue, white, and black, crimson red khakis, and pearl white shoes. East Area B Master, Kakeru works in symbiosis with Rising Dracyan. He has slightly wild blue hair, crimson eyes, a red and white sweater with pockets and short sleeves, white shirt, blue elbow pads, white wristband, rolled up sporty orange sweatpants with blue patterns, and white and red shoes with a blue lace cover. Ryuji uses Proto Zero One and was used by Dragold. I fear that will happen again. He has short light brown hair, green eyes, a white jacket with red sleeves and black collar, light blue shirt, dark blue pants with a yellow handkerchief, and mostly yellow sneakers.
Asuka is a famous celebrity who uses Drift Jaku, a peacock. He has orange hair with blue highlights, green eyes, and Japanese style blue, green, red, and white outfit, a red and yellow folding fan, and maroon boots that extend up to halfway to his knees. Recounting their appearances even with research is really annoying but it's better to do it now rather than later as much as it slows me down. Ugh. Arano is a black dreadlock haired and brown eyed B-shot whose partner is Thunder Bison. His skin is darker than everyone else's and wears a tribal necklace, black shirt with colored stripes, mustard yellow sports pants, and red and white sneakers. He's also an athlete. Aruba is a guardian of the ancient B Daman civilization which he has protected with Lightning Dials. He has light lavender hair, purple eyes, tan skin, a black sleeveless shirt with a dirty green cloth, white shirt, yellow jewels around his waist, dirty green pants with white lines, and sandals. We're getting close to being done with this. I can't recall if everyone mentioned showed up in my POV but I'll recall as time passes. Daiki uses Supreme Tigare. Basically, he has long brown hair that curves to the left with yellow highlights, tan skin, red eyes, a gray hooded gray sweatshirt with eye designs on that hood, red, blue, and yellow t-shirt with a mouth like image, and black yellow spotted shorts. 9 or so more. There are a lot of characters. You can always stop reading at any time to digest all of this information.
Gouichiro and Thunder Bearga have different personalities but they mesh well. He has really short but tall purple hair, purple eyes, tan skin, darker skin, a white t-shirt with a purple stripe, orange and brown button up top with flower patterns and purple features, blue shorts with yellow striped, and brown sandals. Lightning Fin's Kaito had a big smile upon seeing me conscious again. He has blonde hair with long bangs, forest green eyes, lighter tan skin, a red and blue beanie, a small bandaid on his right cheek, white and gray striped shirt, green jacket with a red stripe, blue pants that are rolled up, and regular blue and white shoes. Natsumi and Lightning Rabbit look great together. She has really long black hair, blue eyes, a yellow shirt with a blue butterfly design, baby blue sweater, checkered red skirt with black lines, long navy socks with a red line, and red dotted baby blue and white sneakers. Shumon is a character especially when using Mach Sasord, a scorpion type B Daman. He has red-violet hair, green eyes, pale skin, a purple jacket with white and magenta patterns, a violet belt, baggy blue shorts, blue shoes with a white insert, and white and violet shoe covers. Ouga is like a lion boy with Jet Leohjya. He has long and bushy golden brown hair, golden eyes, tan skin, a collared shirt, yellow and red striped vest, brown khaki pants, and brown boots. Reiji Maki, not Akaba uses Strike Cobra.
He has spiky green hair wrapped in a dark orange bandana, forest green eyes, lighter skin, a long sleeved shirt with special designs, silver wristbands, gold rings, long black sweatpants with 2 white lines near the ankles, and high top green and white sneakers. Rori is next. She sometimes used Sheer Swallow. She has medium short brown hair, lighter skin, green eyes, a blue and long sleeved shirt with a red bow, dark blue shorts, black leggings, and normal sneakers. When she has her yellow bunny ears on, she reminds me of Rune's Kafra staff members. I can't wait to battle the Light Ignis Lightning next month and hope that the Kafra staff don't have to send out an emergency due to him and Windy trying to destroy Prontera. Anyway, Rori's grandfather is the chairman of the World B Daman Association, and known simply as Grandpa Takakura. He has similarly colored skin to Rori, white hair and a long white beard with a robe like outfit. Subaru's father, Gennosuke Shirogane is an archeologist. He has short black hair, blue eyes, lighter skin, glasses, a dark green vest, blue shirt with a red turtleneck, khaki pants, and black boots.
Finally, we can move onto what Subaru said to me in response: "Who is this Yappa Yappa? Is he the one who retreated upon seeing us?" "Yes, he is my mortal enemy. We have fought several times. I killed him once but now, he's back." Yukihide is taken aback: "You killed this individual? Why would you ever kill someone? That's not how we do things in B Daman!" "Calm yourself, Yukihide. There is a lot I need to tell all of you. We must start with the pressing questions like who is Yappa Yappa. I'm relieved that I don't feel much pain right now but I bet I will once I get up. More importantly, I had no choice but to kill Yappa Yappa. He was about to kill thousands, myself included. He doesn't play by your rules of B Daman. Personally, I would even though I don't take orders and not afraid to get my hands dirty so long as I don't touch anything that can't be easily washed with them. Yappa Yappa isn't just my enemy. He is a threat to all life in all worlds. His skills and abilities not to mention the defenses of his skin are so powerful, I could never have hoped to kill him without a lot of help. But can somebody please tell me where my stuff and Herbsalvin are? I want to know if my equine friend is alright! And once I have my stuff back, I can take down those dragon bits are whatever you want to call them without using a B Daman and can defend all of you from much of the force generated by the likes of Gillusion and Dragold while they're at full power." Kamon replies: "Oh yeah! That's right! Your stuff is.. uhh, where is it?" Yukihide sweat drops: "Just like Kakeru. Let me just go get it because I know where it is." "It's far too heavy for you to do that unless it's up here on this floor and you're willing to drag it along in something."
"For someone who just woke up after nearly being killed, you sure are calm about this. Are you sure you're okay? And before I get your stuff, what's your name anyway? It's rude to not tell your name." "Oops, my bad. I'm doing alright, I'm used to almost dying and waking up in a bed or something somewhere. My name is Adam. I have other names but I know that not everyone's brains are able to process and understand information the way mine can so let's just leave it at that." Yukihide nods in satisfaction and goes get my stuff. He soon returns after getting chewed out by Aona for using his B Daman to push a big box full of my stuff down the hallway. I decided to wait till he got back before speaking more and explained such to everyone in the room. He returns and keeps pushing and pulling the big box along: "We got it. My partner, Across Eagle and I make a great team as we always have." Mitsuru eagerly opens the box out of curiosity: "Woah, is that armor, a sword, a shield, a bunch of other stuff, a tablet with cards in it, and a B Daman?" "Indeed. Wait, did you say B Daman? I've never touched one in my life!" "I thought you said you weren't a B-shot!" "Mitsuru, I'm not a liar! No matter how much of my belief is rooted in the want to crush the status quo where I'm from and other serious stuff, the fact remains!" Mitsuru gets the B Daman out and shoves them in my face: "Are you sure this isn't yours? It was with your stuff!" Yukihide pushes him aside: "Calm down, Mitsuru. Adam, we found it right by you and that friend of yours. We assumed this B Daman was yours but I guess not. I wonder where the true owner is."
I reply: "Hmm. I have a sharp attention to detail. This B Daman.. The paint is fresh. Give me them, Mitsuru. *he does so* Okay, I'm no mechanic or anything like that but I am an artist. Can you smell that? That's the smell of new paint. Why would it smell like that when it's dry to the touch? Oil paint smells different and yet the paint smells like it hasn't fully dried yet. This is clearly acrylic paint, the smell and texture of the paint gives it away. But acrylic paint doesn't take very long to dry. I'm glad that the WBMA have a profound respect for B Daman to the point they use this kind of paint instead of tempura paint which is among the cheapest kinds. I can also tell that there's another fresh smell, a box smell. In addition, the B Damian's eyes look closed and the parts seem unused. I'm keeping them with me for now." Kakeru pulls out my sword: "Don't touch my sword! You don't know how to use one and the end is sharp! Please put it down! That blade is not something you want to touch. I've fought many enemies with that sword." He puts it down: "You're right, sorry about that! Are you a knight? I thought knights faded out after the Middle Ages. And is that horse that was with you a real pegasus? Mystery!" "It's a really long and complicated story but yes, I'm a knight! Yes, my friend is a real pegasus. Explaining this and why I'm even here will take all day unless y'all want to do some reading. And I know most of you aren't big on that. I'm guessing just Yukihide, Subaru, and you, Kakeru are into that." "That is so cool! Can you show me some moves?" "Easy there Kakeru, let's not rush things. We don't really know much about Adam." "It's okay. I would do that but as you can see, I'm still in this bed and we have bigger issues at hand. Much bigger."
Kamon asks: "What do you mean, bigger?" "Yappa Yappa's employer has set up schemes to ruin this world. He brought back Dragold and Gillusion. I would suggest keeping an eye on Ryoma. Those 2 are more powerful than ever. You need to sharpen your skills because if Yappa Yappa and his employer are involved, that means big trouble for this world." "Wait, you aren't from this world?" "Are all of you free to hear about everything? Not much time remains till the nightmare begins if it hasn't already. Kamon, don't be surprised if Ryoma grins wickedly while challenging you for your current title. I'm also a writer. There are very few worlds inhabited by humans that are free of vice, hatred, conflict, and more. I know that better than so many people." Aona enters the room with Herbsalvin behind her limping: "Hey you! You're really awake! I heard everything. What's going on?" Just then, I get an emergency transmission on my Quantum Leap band. No use in hiding it even though I had it redesigned to look like a nerdy wristwatch. I activate it in view of the others and look at the transmission: "It has begun. Ryoma has begun to take back power by force. Dragon bits are appearing all over the city. We have to split up *takes time getting up*" "Don't you stand up! You need your rest and you haven't finished healing nor has your pegasus friend! I couldn't believe it at first but Herbsalvin explained!" "Again, I don't take orders. Listen, I've been in far worse shape. You don't want to know the details. Look, I'm standing all on my own." I quickly equip all of my gear except my shield which I put away into my ender pouch. Everyone in the room is stunned: "What? You've never seen a knight or a interdimensional storage item before? Oh wait, nevermind. Okay, that was a bad joke. I have some comrades in this world out there investigating Crestland and West City. Explanations can wait unless you want to run and talk. I'm fine with that but we really must split up. But first, Herbsalvin and I must each eat a HP banana." In seconds, we do and are back to full health. To prove it, I perform a careful and calculated but power swing at the air with my sword.
Herbsalvin stops limping. 2 minutes later, anyone who can fight in some way is out the door. We split into 4 groups. I go with Yukihide and Subaru for now. As we head towards Eastern Crestland at top speed, I give the rundown of everything they need to know and promise better explanations later. Herbsalvin also joins us but we don't fly on them because that would attract too much attention and Yukihide seems like he would barf on a roller coaster if he ever went on one. So it'd be worse on a pegasus. "That's why you're here? You detected powerful cards? That's a new one. Oh well, we'll stop the dragon bits. Get ready, Across Eagle!" A few minutes later, we are surrounded by dragon bits. I smirk: "I like these odds. Only because I know I can easily slice through these machines. I've had more than a few encounters with mechanical enemies you see. That includes some robots built by a man known as Eggman. Some of them are ridiculous but he knows how to make some real mean machines that would destroy all of these dragon bits with ease as he looks on and laughs at the destruction his creations cause." Sonic Dravise replies: "Are you sure it's a good idea to be so confident?" "I don't value confidence as much as intellect, kindness, speed, or anything like that. That being said, it doesn't hurt to feel that way every so often within reason." "You all talk too much." Eagle and Dravise are now firing at the dragon bits thanks to their B-shot partners. As this began to happen, something else did too. A blinding light coming from the ender pouch where I stored away the B Daman that was thought to be mine. I perform a quick Super Duper Spin Slash to hide just how strong I really am and still destroy several machines in an instant.
That gives us a little breathing room so naturally, I open up my ender pouch and immediately take the B Daman out. It was obvious they were where the light came from. I finally take a better look at them. They have a tail like gray grip in the back, they have red and white claws that appear to make it easier to hold them. The majority of their body is black and blue but their feet are also red and white. This is a wolf B Daman but not the same as Detonate Wolg. Their eyes open to reveal green. Their core has jagged edges to it on the front. And then they speak out of nowhere: "So you're the one I was sent to by an unknown force." "Who are you?" "I could say the same to you. My name is Chaos Wolg. I am a wolf B Daman recently manifested by the WBMA." "Chaos Wolg, huh? How interesting! I enjoy a little chaos myself! I'm Adam and go by 3 other names but let's talk about that later. I guess we're going to be partners for now on. Well, at least sometimes. You appear to be a control type. Perfect, I often use concentration and take my time. We were meant to be paired up." "I feel like this is right too." "Well, I was going to use my sword but how can I resist enlisting the help of a new friend? Until I can help you get a physical avatar created so you can operate on your own without me, I'm going to be using you a lot. I'm sorry if I just offended you. I just prefer using my sword or fists to fight. Though I use a card game to as well." "That's no issue for me. Just let me go all in and we'll work together just fine." "I like what you're saying now for sure. In that case. Yukihide, Subaru! Can either of you spare me some marbles? The B Daman you thought was mine appears to have to become my partner by way of destiny or something." Yukihide quickly stops firing to throw me some. I thank him after catching all of them and putting my sword back right it goes when I'm not using it.
After that, I aim at some dragon bits I have been ignoring and take my time doing so. Honestly, it'll be really nice to have a break from always fighting with my fists and sword. I just helped overthrow the former king of Greenhorne a few days ago with my sword and just survived a severe fall so I guess this works out really nicely. But admittedly, I was half expecting to obtain a B Daman while here though I was thinking I would go to a store for one, not this: "Mind if I call you Chaos to make things easier? That way, no one gets confused about you and Detonate Wolg." "That's fine by me. Now pull on my tail and start firing! This is going to be awesome!" "I wish I had all of the enthusiasm you had. Oh well, let's form a symbiotic connection that will last forever!" The aim is set perfectly so I begin to fire every few seconds, adjusting my aim to hit further and further away targets, occasionally increasing launch force while doing so. I took Physics, B Daman has always been easy to understand but because of that class, it's even easier than before. But then, Yukihide and Subaru start getting exhausted: "You guys, there's just too many of them! We need to fall back! I'm not sure how much longer Eagle can take it!" I refuse to give up: "I'm a knight and artist with strong armor, I refuse to give up. You can if you want to if that means you'll come back stronger later but I refuse to myself. Let me show you my conviction when I get off my lazy butt and do something actually useful and physical in my life! Haaaaaa!" Chaos says: "Our connection is growing stronger. It's time for our special move." "I get what you're saying. I'm curious. But still, I am laser focused with a clear and well thought out goal in mind! I will protect everyone and we'll do it together, Chaos Wolg! It's time. My first time. Scratch that, our first time! Emblem Charge!"
I press both red wolf emblems on the upper claws at the same time: "Devastating Crushing Bite!" "With a single shot, an immense amount of passion and force will be exerted. Bring on the chaos upon those who dare inflict pain onto others for selfish reasons, Chaos Wolg!" Chaos' eyes glow briefly before a dark pink energy gathers into the marble inside of their core. I release that energy by pulling on the tail forcibly but carefully and calmly mixed with passionate will. The marble accelerates and breaks through a dragon bit and then another and another before hitting a last one so hard, a small explosion is created that sends out shockwaves. Those shockwaves jam the electrical signals inside the dragon bits and fries their circuits. So that's what that burning smell was. I should have known. Subaru is shocked: "You did that on your first try using a B Daman?" "I may focus more in intuition as I learned from taking a personality test but I'm also decent at observation and great at learning a lot of information. My brain is a nexus. A library of knowledge and experience. This area is fine now. Let's go check to see if everywhere else is okay around here. And as insurance, I'm going to destroy every last one of these dragon bits apart from one. That one is going to a lab for study. I may have a close friend who can easily whip up advanced gadgets but even he might learn something new from studying one." Before I can do any of that however, the physical avatar of my bey partner, Burn Wolf appears with their bey form spinning and easily catching up: "Adam! Is that your new toy like companion? I thought you liked me!" "I'm not buying it. This is a joke, I have never heard you make a joke before."
The avatar, a energy like but solid and anthropomorphic version of Burn Wolf's bey spirit laughs: "You got me! The Wacky Clowns told me what comedy was and taught me what it was like. I finally get what being amused feels like. Let me make up for the delay. Ultimate Mode!" "Your power still relies on the bond we share. Much like with Chaos Wolg and I. I believe in you, Burn Wolf! Please destroy all the dragon bits around here without destroying anything else but keep one intact. I'm going to send it away to be studied." "Got it! It's too bad we forgot all our special moves and removed all modes except standard and ultimate but that's okay! Let me show them our new one. Raging Blustering Clawing!" The bey Burn Wolf starts moving wildly and creates lots of friction while colliding with the dragon bits. As this happens, more and more dragon bits experience complete structural collapse, bringing them down in an instant. Now, where are Blaze, Biara, Tsubasa, Lavertus, Gelina, and Shope already? Burn Wolf is the only one to send any new info to me so far. After the dragon bits are all destroyed except for one, I send that one to the lab back in Miitopia, not caring in the least that I haven't explained the whole teleporting items thing yet. With that settled, we don't waste any time and easily rip through all other dragon bits in Eastern Crestland. When that's done, we head to the north area to give assistance there and I explain more as we run together until Yukihide gets an emergency message at the same time Biara sends me one. They basically say the same thing though Biara's is better detailed. She is a doctor and created a user virus for Link VRAINS users after all so no surprise there. In essence, Kamon is under the control of the controlled Ryoma again. That means Ryoma has become the Grand B Master again.
That means that the tournament to crown a new South Area B Master is a no go right now. How disappointing. I was looking forward to seeing that while here anyway because they never showed that in the anime. Oh well. Subaru exclaims: "We have to stop them at all costs. Let's go! They must be in the middle of Crestland again." Sure enough, they are and happen to waiting in a B Daman arena. Once there, we see a horrific sight. Blaze has been captured somehow and Mitsuru, Kagero, and Bakuga lay on the ground, defeated by a grinning Kamon surrounded by a mix of 2 different auras. Gillusion's curse and a number. No! Oh no: "Damn it! Kamon is even possessed by a number card! That makes things even worse! Stand back everyone. Chaos Wolg and I will be fighting Kamon next." Ryoma grins: "Be my guest! I hear you're a new B-shot, come on, entertain us! It'll be so interesting to see you battle my little brother until you lose miserably! Pmurt Nedib has promised lots of funding if this works in my favor!" Kamon adds: "Prepare to be crushed and destroyed! Then, you will swear allegiance to the Grand B Master!" "You'll see that I'm no push over! And to make things a little more interesting, let me show you some elements of a game I have played for years! *activates duel disk* I activate the action field, Crossover!" After it is activated and the action cards are dispersed, Ryoma is confused: "Just what kind of game is this?" "You'll find out more after we kick Gillusion out of you and Kamon! I see that Break Bomber field is ready to go. Good but let's twist the rules to accommodate the action cards. There are many action cards spread visibly throughout this arena. If you can aim a marble to successfully hit a card, you'll be able to activate that card with abridged effects that are adapted to B Daman. The battle will already be a Road Fight but now it'll also be an action duel!"
Kamon replies: "That's fine by me! You'll need all the help you can get to face me! Time for Ultimate Drive Garuburn! It's time to destroy you and your B Daman for good!" Everyone gathered chants as soon as we stand on opposite sides of the Break Bomber game: "B-shots! Ready! Aim!" Kamon and I shout in unison: "Fireblast!" In Break Bomber, the goal is to send 4 green blocks flying toward your opponent. It's kind of similar to Candy Crush. You have to knock down several blue blocks before you can get a green one. There are 7 rows with one green block each and they are moving side to side. This is a stressful time but I keep my cool and stay focused, ignoring Kamon's insults and Ryoma's laughter to get ready for the right moment to unleash a tremendous amount of force. In the meantime, Kamon laughs: "Emblem Charge!" "Quantum Drive!" "Light the blaze of darkness, Ultimate Drive Garuburn!" My aim is perfect now: "I don't think so! Emblem Charge!" "Devastating Crushing Bite!" "With a single shot, an immense amount of passion and force will be exerted. Bring on the chaos upon those who dare inflict pain onto others for selfish reasons, Chaos Wolg!" Garuburn's attack involves energized marbles being sent out and spinning in place on the field before shooting upwards at a curve to hit their intended targets. Basically, they're several drive shots at once. Our attacks clash though he gets 2 blocks. That being said, we get one block and almost render him unconscious. Additionally, I aim towards one of the nearby action cards and shoot at it. I selected Evasion, meaning that the force of Garuburn's attack didn't get to harm us as we are sidestepped out of the way: "Hey! If I were using all of my skills, Gillusion would have probably been destroyed by now or forced to release his B animal to actively fight me! But I'm feeling nice. Besides, that wouldn't be enough to save you, Kamon! I'm going to get you out of this one way another! Wake up dude! Don't you want to know why I became a knight? Don't forget about the people who love and care about you!"
"I don't need anyone, I just need power!" "Good Kamon, that's the way to think! You can't get him back, he's mine now and that will remain that way forever! As the Grand B Master again, I ban all Crossfire tournaments in Crestland! Let's return to the Road Fight!" "Just zip it, Ryoma! I can also pull some rapid fire though that requires my full attention and effort. Watch. I figured out Chaos Wolg is built for control and rapid fire at the same time without switching modes. They must be among the next generation of B Daman, a newer generating than even ones with Emblem Charge systems! It isn't that the competitions of Road Fights are bad necessarily. Your rules make it so anyone can use Road Fights for selfish purposes. But there is a way to play with stakes without those stakes hurting anybody! Your system is disgusting. You punish B-shots for failing and have almost 0 mercy for it. When the winners are the only ones allowed to prosper, the world becomes a very cruel place. In order to survive, you must crush others or else they'll crush you. It's just like that vile system called capitalism. What fun is there in having to crush everyone in order to keep living? I watched online as a city got destroyed by interdimensional invaders as the people living there regardless if they were young or old, running or fighting get turned into cards. I have read descriptions and more about genocides. You think it's okay to control everyone? Think again." Kamon laughs: "That's pathetic and once you bow down to the Grand B Master, there won't be room for any of that! You'll have no choice but to destroy all opposite to him! Let's go, Garuburn! Let's crush Adam! Emblem Charge!" Seconds later, I managed to get a 3rd block but end up losing the match.
"Damn it, I couldn't beat him! But there is no way I am pledging my loyalty and serving the Grand B Master! I bow to no ruler. I helped overthrow a king and killed a mayor aka wannabe dictator. What do you want from me? Somebody else, please try to kick Kamon's ass back to our side. I see Ryoma's cavalry is here to make sure I bow to Ryoma by force. While you focus on helping Kamon, I'll bring them horrific nightmares come to life!" I deactivate my duel disk and put away Chaos Wolg after effortlessly taking the full blunt of Garuburn's other attack in the match. Then, I activate my duel disk again and run towards Hagataki who is waiting with the dragon bits and other Master Guardians. The machines try to capture me but I smirk: "I generate the action field Haunted House! Those sets up perfectly for your emotional dooms! And oh yes, I have the perfect materials to form a terrifying collage! *skip to after my talking about what Im doing* Now, my dear enemies! Bare witness to the nightmares that will never truly go away! Regnes! Jammer! Terror Fairy! Next, I equip each with a copy of Power Of The Guardians! You're doomed! Kamon may be defeating all the B-shots who have tried to free him so far but you can't gloat in that as soon as these nightmares come for you! They seek to drag your minds into some sort of graveyard from which you can return but you never truly do no matter how far away you get from the headstones! My monster comrades, make those dragon bits obsolete and make those men cry for eternity! They don't deserve our pity or kindness. Let's leave them shaking forever! Nighty night, Master Guardians! I hope your delusion of standing a chance was enough to keep you confident until now. The candles that signify your sanity are about to be blown out and won't be relit for perhaps a long time! Thank you for staying in this haunted house, I hope you enjoyed the games we played together because now playtime is dead for you! Bye bye!" 20 seconds later, the dragon bits are all gone and I stand over the trembling men with the most menacing smile I can give at the moment.
I calmly walked to the seating of the arena. I sit down next to a crushed Mitsuru who is now looking at me with fear in his eyes: "Don't worry, Mitsuru. You're a good person who hasn't hurt anyone since you changed. I have no reason to scare you to the bone unless you want me to scare you with the help of my Horror Artist friends. We can practically cause people to have funerals just for the sanity of others. But of course, I won't hesitate to kill if it's my only option. You are safe from our wrath, just don't do cruel things or believe heartless things that cause pain such as racism and transphobia. Or else, I might come knocking at your door with a serious glare plastered onto my face." I pat him on the back and warmly smile, easing his fears. After that, I turn my attention to the battle going on now. Yukihide is trying his best but it's not working. However, I firmly believe in the bonds of comradery and friendship. Together, they can increase somebody's strength in both unique and conventional ways. It really depends for every single life form obviously. The situation for us seems more and more hopeless but then, I cheer for Yukihide myself, discarding my creepy side for now: "Go on, Yukihide! Show him the power of the human mind and eagle when combined in a perfect synchronization! In fact, show us too! You can do it! Do everything to push through and get to the real Kamon! Remind him that there is a better way than all of this cruelty and manipulation! Remind him who you really is! Help him break through the influence of that number as well as Gillusion's!" He nods: "Roger that. Come on, Across Eagle! Let's show everyone your new parts! With them, you become the ultimate rapid fire type. We'll outpace Garuburn with everything we have! The mind is a weapon and it must be used as one!" I got him fired up. Easy peasy. I'm a writer, I'm good at words. Yukihide's new strategy and passion wasn't enough to get through to Kamon but we're closer than ever to freeing him.
Several others are defeated by Kamon and Garuburn until Kakeru and Dracyan come up to take him on: "I don't know what a number card is but what I do know is that I want you to smile and have fun once again! You wanted to become the greatest B-shot and even managed to win Spike Phoenix! You deserve to be able to keep moving forward, on your own path! Not Ryoma's, not anyone else's! Double Emblem Charge!" "Rising Overdrive!" "Let the waves crash down, Ultimate Rising Dracyan!" "I won't let you win! Emblem Charge! Obey the Grand B Master!" After that, 2 powerful attacks counter each other completely, leading to a temporary statement. As the battle continued, I used the opportunity to free Blaze. Blaze is in a cage behind Ryoma. It seems like it would be hard to move stealthily like a silent shadow with a full set of heavy armor and everything else but I figured out ways to solve that. I moved very slowly and took my movements carefully with my focus and awareness at the max. Just a little noise could get me blasted by Gillusion. But there's also the fact that all the scientists in BRAINS tried their hands on creating the perfect sound mufflers. I have the final result built into my armor now, reducing noise from my armor to nearly 0. I say nearly 0 because they couldn't be truly perfected to reduce all noise. That would required months of research. Months we just don't have with everything that's going on. For example, studying that damn Nomu still. Anyway, I went as far as to not let anyone know I'm going to rescue Blaze. But if I do get caught by Ryoma or Kamon or their B Daman, I do have a backup plan on my hands. I quickly put my sword where I usually put it before getting out my guitar. If all else fails, make eardrums bleed.
The battle is fierce, neither of them is holding back, giving up, or tiring out. Ryoma is amused by this, leaving him completely oblivious to my little plan. I have no idea how they captured Blaze but they did and the info we get on that is going to make for juicy data. Pirate Blaster must love it and the data gathered from my rescuing Blaze as well. I guess we'll see once the calm returns to the whole of this entire world we're visiting to help save from destruction on a scale not even seen back on my world yet. There they are. I'm almost to Blaze. Just gotta tip toe and keep taking advantage of the fact the lightning went out thanks to the raging battle to almost be one with the shadows. In reality, my connection with the Shadow Realm is completely severed, much like some heads on every world just about. And now I'm at Blaze's cage: "Shh. Be quiet, Blaze. I'm going to get you out of here. You just have to be quiet until later. Right now, I don't want to deal with Ryoma and Gillusion. No thanks. There's too much at stake. Have to save my strength. After all, I received word from someone that Dragold is making moves too. The WBMA headquarters is his now again. If Gillusion and Dragold end up working together, I'm not sure if we'll make it out of this world alive if at all." The wolf nods. I put away my guitar and draw my sword. The cage easily falls to one slash of my weapon. There should be more knights who follow the path of statelessness. But anyway, I lead Blaze carefully and quietly back to the stands as the battle gets even louder. Mitsuru snaps at me: "Where were you? Ryoma and Kamon almost noticed you were gone!" "Freeing a friend." "Is that a wolf? Why would you free a wolf? They're scary!"
"Don't be a fool. Wolves are pretty docile when encountering humans. Of course, my friend here is far from an ordinary wolf. Blaze is a human like wolf. I'll explain later. I have to get ready to fight in case things get way out of control like they often have with these number cards. Someone transformed into a terrifying creature because he got controlled by a number card and became obsessed with catching all life forms he could and thought they were all dogs." "What?" "Again, later." I get out Chaos Wolg again: "What's the plan now? I want to spread so much chaos that not even Gillusion can handle it! It'd be so exciting and awesome!" "We wait. I want him and Gillusion to think I'm only decent at using a sword. My skills and strength far exceed those of the average person. Because of this, deception is a pretty good way to turn the tables on somebody for me." But then, Kamon and Garuburn are defeated by Kakeru and something new takes place. The number card inside of Kamon leaves him and he falls unconscious. A stunned silence fills the room. I exclaim: "That is a number card and it's going to Ryoma. This is really bad." Ryoma grins: "You have no idea!" I didn't except to yell wtf but I was about to anyway for a plot twist was going to redefine this conflict in an alarming way. The ground began shaking as Ryoma literally ate the number card. "What the fuck? This is new! Damn it, his obsessions are about to skyrocket and make him go berserk in milliseconds! It has happened many times before! I have been helping hunt these number cards. But this time, it's a trap. What else does Pmurt Nedib have planned?" Ryoma laughs only for him to regain his old self temporarily as Kamon wakes back up. This doesn't last long for his eyes glow red and he starts expanding in size. All of us in Crestland today are here together so we evacuate together.
Kamon is carried out by myself and Blaze while Garuburn is handled gently by Yukihide. Once we're outside, it's clear that some thing really messed up is about to happen. Oh joy. As if things couldn't get any worse, right? Ryoma's body bursts out of the arena but it just looks like a growing skin slime with Ryoma's head rising right out of it. I yell: "Little kids, look away! Now!" Good thing I did because that was just the tip of the iceberg. Ryoma's face multiples in size and is contorted into a massive grin with his eyes still glowing and the veins in his face protruding out noticeably. But then, his now giant face literally explodes. How many gross transformations do Blaze and I have to endure? Now, his body has turned into a headless and: "Teenagers, you turn your heads away from Ryoma right now! Please, I don't need you scarred for life or me being blamed for you seeing such a sight!" They do so too, good. I got them to trust me enough. I cut myself off intentionally. He is now a naked and headless giant with the top half of his body becoming a full on skin slime thing. It just keeps throbbing and changing its shape. Yuck. I have a wild imagination so I know I'm describing it really well. To add to this, 3 heads start growing out of giant headless Ryoma's knees and they rise above the rest of his body. These heads are the 3 components of Triple Gillusion. Meanwhile, the rest of the solidified parts of his body explode too. And out of the remaining skin blob, hydra Triple Gillusion is born. I don't want to describe their appearance. Sorry. All you have to know is that Triple Gillusion just crushed the remainder of the arena and only a small patch of human skin is left. That skin holds B Daman Triple Gillusion firmly as if they're merged together. I can feel traces of The Shadow's presence. Oh no. 3 number symbols appear on Triple Gillusion hydra.
But then, the B Daman Triple Gillusion sinks into the skin, never to seemingly be seen ever again. It gets weirder. Everyone by now who isn't an adult was allowed to turn around again so they did. But, the hydra raises one of his arms and a claw starts growing at an exponential rate but at the end is not a nail, it's a human sized B Daman or more accurately, a human sized B Humanan. We're all horrified by what has happened. That's Ryoma. Not a normal B Daman. Ryoma but in the appearance of a (ugh this makes me cringe) human type B Daman. Kamon yells: "What have you done to Ryoma?" "Oh me? I was losing patience and he was losing control after our control of you failed. I merged myself with his body, grew it, destroyed it, and used the remainder of his flesh to form my ultimate form! As you can see, it even has elements of the 3 number cards I forced into him! But there's more, instead of having him try to fight for control over MY body that WAS his body, I turned him into a toy the size of you! He can even fire marbles for me! Let us begin the ultimate Road Fight! To win, I destroy all of you or you manage to destroy me! Like that will ever happen! B-shots! Ready! Aim! Die-blast!" Ryoma screams in pain as he is forcibly pressed to release giant marbles. I apologize to Chaos Wolg: "I'm sorry but I must fight with my sword instead of you now. I hope you understand." "I do. You must do what needs to be done. Just make sure the takeover of Triple Gillusion is extra brutal!" "Well, it kinda has to be in order for us to stand a chance at winning this." Chaos accepts my answer. I put my B Daman away just in time for Ryoma to start doing a blank brainwashed stare.
Gillusion laughs and presses Ryoma in 8 places at once: "The Grand B Master is now just the Ungrand B Daman Pawn! Oh, I almost forgot! UMC troops under my command under loan, kill my enemies so they can never beat me! Additionally, Quadruple Emblem Charge!" Ryoma regains himself and screams by forces: "Body Crush!" "Destroy all that exists without a say, Puppet Ryoma!" I think I heard some things break inside of Ryoma's new body. If I didn't have such a tolerance for stuff, I think I'd hurl chunks everywhere. That's it, it's time to get serious: "Continuous Extremely Risky Spin Slash: 20! Haaaaaaaaaaa! We should have brought a healer on this mission! Damn it! Take this, Gillusion!" My attack as intense as it is only succeeds in scattering the UMC troops, dealing no damage to our enemy despite how much I have trained to be able to go that far with my 2nd best attack without breaking much of a sweat or any muscles. Bray unlocking my potential as a Miitopian knight has helped a lot. Annoyed by that fail, I'm glad that I kept my duel disk activated and that my artist comrades stuck around: "I forgot about you, my artist comrades! In that case, I'm going to have some more friends join you! I Pendulum summon 3 more monsters and activate Artistic Ritual! I offer up all 3 in order to ritual summon! Show us what happens when a planet combines with the power of art and sentience! Now, our foes. Witness the summoning of a life form far beyond your understanding and imagination! I ritual summon! Come on put! Level 12, Artistic Planet Giant!" But I'm not done yet.
After defeating some UMC troop thugs, I activate the Pendulum scale to bring back those 3 monster comrades and use them to Link summon a new artist: "What happens when an artist in tune with the breeze evolved to be in tune with all that lacks heat? Let them show you! I Link summon! Link 3! Ice Carving Artist Frozen Fred! Fred gains 500 attack points for every monster linked to him. There's 3 so here comes a power up to 3500! You shouldn't have destroyed Jammer! How I activate Monster Reborn to bring Jammer to the field in the most appropriate way! My field is almost full so let me Pendulum summon the last element of this composition! Here comes Master Abstract Artist Chaos! Now my comrades, I have equipped you all with Power Of The Guardians. Except for you, Chaos. Sorry. Anyway, let's ignore all confusion and together as one team! Haaaaa!" As they all attack, I join in on the fun again just as Biara who has gray eyes, maroon hair with orange highlights, and a red-violet and mostly white outfit featuring thigh highs, shoes, a trench coat, a shirt, and a skirt says: "I Link summon! Link 3! Dark Mummy Surgical Forceps!" Hell yeah, the UMC troops are in trouble and some of them are already frightened by the Link monster. This is why I like having Biara on our side. She's a doctor and hacker with a mummy ace monster. I'm sorry but that's so cool and fitting. Scientists often use medical technology to study mummies after all. But anyway, I slip unnoticed past the troops considering how many are terrified of the Duel Monsters and start attacking Gillusion right up and personal. He hasn't paid much attention as of yet. I'm doing no damage but that's only for now.
I'm just slowly easing into more powerful attacks and taking my time with it. The goal is to subtly increase the damage so I can keep attacking unnoticed for as long as I want to. If the nerves are exposed to barely any greater damage over time slowly, it should be possible to deal a lot without getting noticed eventually. This gives me time to look over and see how everyone else is doing. Burn Wolf is currently keeping Gillusion by being too agile to hit. Nice. Blaze meanwhile is taking things from the troops before knocking them out in an instant and trying to start up fights amongst those troops. Clever. If they weren't dead set on being a warrior, I know they'd want to become an assassin or thief through and through. This is going pretty good considering Gillusion wants us all dead. He is too overconfident to get angry enough to start attacking much more seriously. Just like Gofast. Just like Gofast. More importantly, Kamon and the others are firing as hard as they can. Damn it, I can't warn them to stop before their B Daman partners break apart. Oh wait, Gelina is reminding them to be careful with how they fight. That's good. I start focusing more on attacking harder and harder until finally, I am making small cuts into Gillusion. He finally notices: "How dare you do this to me! I'm going to kill you for this! Just you wait! Ryoma! It's time for your other special move!" "Oh no it's not! Witness the power of our bonds! I will break myself to break you! Great Infernal Tornado Slash! Haaaaa!" I put all of my strength into that attack again but this time, it's at least 20% more powerful than last time thanks to the knight ceremony and my training. I still have some strength left and managed to not break my legs or my right arm. Most everything else is broken though.
I'm in a world of pain but I don't care right now. I run away from Gillusion. As I run, I effortlessly defeat enemy after enemy while dodging attacks from Gillusion like a total badass: "You can't touch me! Not yet! I might as well be dying but hey, I'm doing what I can do to stop you and that includes all of this wild crap! Ha!" To be continued next chapter.
