I don't own any of this Loud House belongs to Nickelodeon.
"Ladies and gentleman, please fasten your seatbelts, we're about to land in five minutes."
The Loud family felt themselves grow excited, as soon they'll be in Miami for Christmas this year, shame it wasn't all of them as Lori is spending Christmas with Bobby and his family, Luna is on a ski trip with Sam, and Luan is at Sunset Canyon performing a show for the elderly.
Although they weren't all here, the remaining family members are going to make the most of it when they celebrate Christmas in Miami. Was it different than their usual traditions? It was, there's no doubt about that. But you know, it was good do something different once in awhile, perhaps they can make new traditions there that could be more fun than the ones they already do.
Not everyone is opened to the change though, as Lincoln who had his arms crossed and looking out to the clouds below, was not liking the change one bit. Lincoln just wanted this Christmas to be the same as it always does: he wanted Lori, Luna, and Luan to be with them, he wanted to see Lilly light up the tree, and he wanted to be riding down a snowy hill with his family.
Lincoln considered that he should sabotage his family's plans, but the more he thought about it, the more he realized that it would be a rather nasty thing to do to his family no matter the reason. Lincoln knew for a fact that he wouldn't like it if his family sabotage something he planned for, it would make him feel betrayed and hurt.
So despite his disappointment on the changes, Lincoln decided to just wing it and see how this will go, though he doubted that he was going to like it.
The plane begins to descend from the sky, passing through the clouds to reveal the Florida landscape down below.
"Well family, were here at last!" Lynn Sr. happily told his family as they all stood at airport's entrance with their bags of luggage. The difference in temperature immediately hits them from the cold winter back in Michigan to the very warm winter here in Florida.
Leni wiped away some sweat. "Phew! It sure is hot."
"Being close to the equator will do that to this part of the world." Lisa said.
"So family, what should we do first?" Lynn Sr. asked only to be immediately bombarded by answers.
"Let's go to the beach!" Leni stated.
"Yeah, I can do some surfing, hang gliding, jet skiing, volleyball!" Lynn added.
"Let's go to Disney World! That's where the princesses hangout." Lola countered.
"Disney World sounds fun, but let's go to the Everglades! It's nice and swampy with alligators, pythons, and all shorts of critters." Lana excitedly exclaimed.
Lola rolled her eyes from that. "Yeah, like we're really going to spend Christmas in a icky swamp."
"But we can look for the skunk ape."
The family looked at her confused. "What's that?" Rita question.
"It's basically a florida bigfoot that smells foul." Lana explained in excitement.
Lisa rolled her eyes from hearing that. "Oh please, may I suggest we go to the Kennedy Space Center. It will be very fascinating there."
Predictively the sisters began to argue about what they should do during their time in Florida. Lincoln is the only one who didn't say anything, instead he looked to some palm trees completely board, to think that right now they could've been playing in the snow.
Rita whistle loudly, loud enough to immediately stop her daughters bickering, they all looked to her in attention. "Now kids, there's no need to argue. We can do all those things."
"We can?" Leni asked.
"Yes honey, if we do good planning, we'll be able to do so."
"If Luna was here, we could've had a musical montage of doing those things." Lincoln sadly thought.
Their dad now raised his hands to address their attention. "But before we go to Disney World, we have to go to Universal Studios."
"Why's that daddy?" Lola asked as that seemed out of the blue.
"No reason honey." He replied quickly, though within the airport he saw two beefy guys with Nickelodeon logos on their shirts, looking at him with a slow nod. Lynn smiled nervously at them, before looking to his family. "Anyway fam, let's check in to our hotel."
The family along with their luggage head straight for a bus, the beefy guys back track into the shadows for they felt that the Loud father got their point across very clearly.
The hotel the Louds were staying at is right next to the beach, the Louds were staying on the top floor in room 912. The room had separated bedrooms with four beds each, a nice kitchen for Lynn to cook in, a living quarter with a flat screen TV that has 500 channels, best of all, it had a balcony that had a nice view of the beach.
Overall it was a nice room for the family as they settled themselves in, of course Lynn and Rita told their kids to behave themselves as they don't want a repeat of what happened at the last hotel they stayed at, Rita and Lynn also had to promise themselves that they weren't going to do that thing in the pool, that got them kicked out in the first place.
Lynn places her bag on the bed, she quickly opens it up and started to rummage through it, squinting her eyes as she looked. "Where is it?"
Lana came into the room with her own bag, she stopped in her tracks when she saw her older sister rummaging through her bag, muttering to herself on trying to find the thing she is looking for. "What are you doing Lynn?"
"Looking for my surfboard." Lynn replied without turning to her.
"You need some help?"
"Nah, I got this." Lynn now began to take out some of the things she put in her bag. "Soccer ball, basketball, bowling ball, baseball, ping pong ball, tennis ball, bats. Ah, here it is!" Lynn pulls out her red surfboard, it was just her size, just perfect to surf amongst the waves in great speeds and turns.
With her surfboard recovered, Lynn turns to Lana who had open up her own bag and took out some mud she had stored, she quickly rubbed the mud all over her face. "All yes! That feels good."
"Of course you would store mud." Lola exclaimed as she along with Leni now entered the room, the two put down their bags on the beds they chose. Lola immediately pulls out some of her make-up from her bag, which she started to apply on her face.
"Of course you would store make-up." Lana exclaimed back with the same tone of voice.
"Hey guys." The three sisters turned to Leni who had just pulled out some glitter. "Since, we're in a different location. I figured it's time for me to give this room some Christmas sparkle."
"With glitter? Now that's the way to do things." Lola said with a smile as she absolutely loved glitter. Leni upon hearing approval from one of her sisters, now began to look around for what to make sparkly.
Meanwhile the other siblings are settling themselves in their room. Lincoln has already placed his bag on the bed and pulled out a comic from it, he sits on the bed and dejectedly read the comic.
The room is indeed nice and they have a nice view, but this still felt wrong, after all warm temperatures, a beach. This didn't feel like a Loud family Christmas at all.
His younger sisters meanwhile have taken out a few of their things. Lucy placed her Edwin bust on the table, looking at it thoughtfully. "Yes Edwin, the sun here is much more brighter than it is back home, and its awful for a vampire like you."
Lucy goes silent as she listened to Edwin. "Yes, it's not all bad, as I do sense a spirit here."
Lilly meanwhile is walking on over to Lisa with her yellow pail and red bucket. "Lisa, Lisa."
After placing the last of her beakers on her bed, Lisa turned to look at her little sister. "Greetings youngest sibling, I see you got your pail and shovel to dig up silicon dioxide, in order to make a castle."
"Sandcastle! Sandcastle!" Lilly happily babbled.
"Yes, it's very clear that your excited, but you must be patient as we don't know if we are going to the beach first." Lisa informed her sister, although Lilly wasn't really paying attention, as all she can think about is building the largest sandcastle the world has ever seen.
Luckily for her, the family did indeed head for the beach after they all got settled in their room. The beach is nice and warm, and the best part for the Louds. They had a section of the beach all for themselves.
Lynn and Rita relaxed themselves underneath some umbrellas with Lynn falling asleep the moment he got relaxed and Rita is busy doing a activity book. Rita wasn't the only one who is relaxing with a book as nearby, Lucy is sitting underneath her own umbrella reading Fazbear's Fright#1: Into The Pit.
Meanwhile in the water; Lynn who's on her surfboard had swam out a good distance in order to get a good, big wave. Lynn can feel that the wave was coming soon, she can just feel it in her gut.
Her gut was right as the water in front of her began to rise up. "Ah yeah! Let's do this!"
Jumping to her feet, Lynn gets into position, soon the wave came and carried the board towards shore, as it does so, Lynn skims through it doing flips on the top, then goes into the water tunnel the wave created when it reached shore. "Hang ten!"
Back on shore; Lisa is standing near one of the tidal pools, observing the ecosystem it provided from the starfish, a crab, coral, and some sea anemones. "Very interesting tidal pool." Lisa then looked closer to the crab as it seemed to be holding something. "Is that a dollar?"
Nearby Leni and Lola are sunbathing; Leni is on her green towel, while Lola is on her pink towel. The sun felt so good on them, they were definitely going to get a good tan, and while they were sunbathing Lilly and Lana are playing in the sand.
Lilly is making her sandcastle, while Lana is making something completely different. You see, since Florida didn't have any snow, Lana decided to make a snowman made out of sand. It was hard work, but at last she finished with Mr. Sandman which is complete with a seashell nose, black hat, sticks for arms, and a button nose.
The best part of making a snowman out of sand is that you don't have to worry about it melting, though you do have to keep it away from water which Lana wisely did as she wouldn't want anything to happen to Mr. Sandman.
The family are definitely enjoying themselves at the beach, well almost all of them.
Lincoln loved going to the beach as much as the next kid and he would've been in the water to, but instead he's sitting by himself at the end of the shore, letting the water touch his feet. "To think, right now I could be sledding down a hill on Big Red." He mumbled to himself.
After the beach trip; the Louds next stop was Universal Studios. The first place they went in the park is the meet and greet with Spongebob and Patrick as they had a strange urge that they had to.
Meeting up with the famous sponge and starfish, the family get in a pose as a worker took a picture of them. Now done with the picture with Spongebob and Patrick, the Louds went off through the park where they soon found themselves at Jurassic World.
They came into main street, where they stopped to get some ice cream which were all dinosaur or ice age related puns, seeing the puns makes Lincoln think of Luan. Lincoln thought that she would've laughed her butt off over these puns and no doubt make up her own. "I wonder how she's doing right now?" He sadly thought.
After their ice cream, the Louds walked down main street, but that didn't last long as a raptor call gets their attention. Fallowing the calls, they soon join a crowd that stood around a paddock where a handler is bringing out Blue the velociraptor.
"Now don't worry folks! As long as you don't scare her, we'll be perfectly safe!" The handler instructed. Blue takes two steps forward before stopping to look around at the crowd, she lifts herself up, letting out a snarl that made the crowd gasp.
All except Lisa however as she just rolled her eyes. "Please. It's just a man in a rather impressive costume. It's not even a velociraptor, as real velociraptors are covered in feathers, not to mention real velociraptors are only 1.8 metres tall and (6 feet)."
Lana meanwhile excitedly watched the show, she wondered what it would be like to have a pet dinosaur. It would totally be awesome to be riding to school on a T-Rex, oh how the kids at school would be super jealous.
After a while, the handler ushers Blue back into the paddock, much to Lana's disappointment. "Blue needs to feed now, but come back in thirty minutes to see her again." The handler informed everyone.
Now with the Blue show over, the Louds went on over to their first ride, which is the Jurassic World River Adventure. The only ones who didn't go on the ride were Lilly and Lynn Sr., as for the rest of the family, they had a blast as they saw the mosasaur eating a great white shark in one gulp, before it then slammed against the glass spraying everyone with water.
The next things they saw were a young and adult stegosaurus and a parasaurolophus that pushed them into predator cove where they not only saw the busted out raptor paddock, but also the busted out indominus rex paddock.
The track leads them pass the hybrid who has her head through a wall. They soon go into a tunnel where some raptors appear, along with blue, the indominus, and the T-Rex before going down with a splash near the end of the ride.
Upon coming off the ride; the Louds talked about how much fun they had, even Lincoln had to admit that the ride was fun, but the joy didn't last long as he started to think that right now, he and the others would've been on the couch watching a Christmas special.
But speaking of Christmas specials. After the Louds left Jurassic World, they soon came into the wonderful world of Dr Seuss, where they soon came upon Who-Ville. Lincoln felt a little better as this felt a bit more Christmassy, even if it was fake snow.
Lola, Lana, and Lisa were soon engaged in a snowball fight against Leni, Lucy, and Lynn. As for Lilly, she is making snow angels with her parents, Lincoln watched from a high rise as he built a snow fort, imagining him and his whole family doing all of this back home with his friends joining in.
This resulted in a sigh to escape from the young boy, he hated essentially being a party pooper during this trip, but he just couldn't help it. As everything was too different, he just wanted everything to be the same like it always was.
"What's up with the long face kid?" A voice called out behind him.
Turning around slowly, Lincoln saw that it was the Grinch who addressed him, well more specifically the Jim Carrey version of the Grinch in his santa outfit. "You look like a younger, less hairy version of me."
"Oh, it's nothing Mr. Grinch. It's just that, its just that we are doing things much more differently than what we usually do over the past years."
"What's wrong with that?" The Grinch asked curiously.
Lincoln sighed again. "I just wanted everything to be the same as it always has been for us, but my eldest sister Lori went to spend Christmas with her boyfriend's family, Luna went on a skiing trip with her girlfriend, Luan is back home doing one of her comedy shows at the senior home, where my grandpa lives, and we are in Florida for Christmas."
"Rough changes, huh?" The Grinch remarked.
"Tell me about it. I was actually considering on sabotaging my family's plans."
"Wow!" The Grinch stated in surprise. "I may have broken into the Who's houses and stolen all of their things, but that sounded like a really nasty thing of you to do."
"Which is why I didn't go through with it, I almost did, but then I realized it would've been a very nasty thing to do towards my family. I knew that I would've felt betrayed if any of my sister's did that to me. But still, I wish we were doing our family traditions."
Lincoln dejectedly returned to work on his snow fort, the Grinch watched him as he puzzled about what to say to this kid, until he finally comes up with an answer. "You know kid, just take it from me, a Grinch who hated Christmas for years. I thought it would always be the same thing, but as you know that changed and I turned out different for the better."
Lincoln looked up to regard him. "But didn't you commit a series of burglaries?"
"Details, details." The Grinch remarked. "Point is, sometimes change is good. You just need to embrace it, who knows? Maybe you might make new traditions or something like that." The Grinch looked at him for a bit, before going off to greet other guests.
Lincoln watched him go, thinking hard about what he said. It was rather funny getting advise from the Grinch of all people.
After their day at Universal Studios; the Louds walked around on a boardwalk before eating at a seafood place, where they sat at a spot that overlooked the sun setting over the watery horizon.
Soon after their dinner; the Louds returned to their hotel room as they discussed about the fun day they had. "Man! Wasn't this day awesome!" Lana exclaimed, she was especially happy for she saw that her sandman still standing proudly.
"I know right, I rode some awesome monster waves!" Lynn commented as she fondly thinks of her surfing trip.
"Not really, if they were monster waves then the whole state would've been covered by water, such as when the asteroid that resulted in the K-T Extinction did when it struck the Yucatan peninsula." Lisa informed.
"Don't kill my joy Lisa." Lynn remarked in annoyance.
"The beach was bit bright, but I enjoyed the darkness that river adventure had." Lucy said.
"I loved seeing Spongebob!" Leni stated in glee, but got puzzled by something. "Though, I always thought he lived under the sea in his pineapple house."
"Well family. Looks like our first day in Miami went great! So let's have some more fun tomorrow! Because we Louds are going to SeaWorld." Lynn Sr. proudly announced, this resulted in his kids to chatter in excitement.
Except for Lincoln who is still thinking about the Grinch's advice, perhaps it's time to stop being a party pooper on himself and embrace this trip. Perhaps it's also time to give something to his family, something that they would enjoy greatly and in order to do that. Lincoln needed a plan and luckily for him, he was great with coming up with plans.
That night when everyone is fast asleep, Lincoln snuck out of bed to put his plan into action.
Coming into the living area, Lincoln stood in front of a potted palm tree that is on the balcony. Silently, he slowly approaches the tree with the happy thoughts of how surprise his family is going to be, when they wake up the next morning.
As the sun rose up the next morning, the Louds began to stir from their sleep, after getting themselves out of bed, along with getting themselves dressed. They came out of their rooms and walked into the living area for breakfast, however they came to a stop from the surprise that awaited them.
The palm tree on the balcony is decorated in lights. They are very surprised as they were pretty sure that the tree wasn't like that yesterday, so where in the world did the lights come from?
"Did Santa visited us a day early?" Lola question.
"I don't know honey." Rita answer for she is very puzzled.
"I actually did it."
The family looked back and there was Lincoln who had come out of the bathroom. His family looked at him in great surprise as how and when did Lincoln pull this off?
"You did this son?" Lynn Sr. asked.
"How in the ding dong heck, did you pull this off?" Lynn question.
"Well when you guys were asleep, I came out to decorate the tree, so that we can have a little Christmas cheer while we're here." Lincoln explained.
"But, how did you get the lights?" Lola now asked.
"I went down to the lobby and asked the manager if I could borrow some lights? Thankfully he said yes and that's how I decorated the tree with lights."
"Well it looks great sweetie." Rita proudly stated.
"Yeah" Leni agreed. "It's totally sparkly."
Lincoln smiled at that for he's very glad that his family liked his surprise. Soon they came into a group hug, as Lincoln embraced them he thought that perhaps this change wasn't so bad after all, in fact he was beginning to like being in Florida for Christmas, instead of being at home.
Lincoln also hoped that Lori, Luna, and Luan were having fun from where they were at. If he could talk to them right now, he would say, "Merry Christmas to all and may joy prosper to everyone."
