Always

Chapter 8

A/n: Hello! I know, I'm terrible and suck at updating, for that I'm so sorry! I keep getting insanely busy. BUT I'm getting back on the horse. Sooooo...Enjoy!

xXx

I woke, immediately feeling an intuitive sense of dread. Something was wrong.

Sitting up, I looked at the clock, my eyes widening as I hurried out of bed. It was 10:53AM. That meant that Axel… Axel left without saying goodbye.

"Axel!" I called, running into the living room. My heart sank when I discovered that it was empty. I called for him again, feeling sick in the pit of my stomach. I felt absolutely terrible. What had I been thinking? Why had I treated him so badly? Why…

I froze when a noise came from the kitchen and then I heard footsteps and then, then he was standing in the doorway. I couldn't believe it, couldn't even breathe. Axel never missed meetings and when he did, he always told me in advance. Always.

"Axel, I thought you left, I thought…" I whispered breathlessly… Axel leant back, his strong shoulders resting against the wood, and crossed his arms. He exhaled heavily before speaking.

"I postponed leaving for two days." I blinked, my mouth opening and closing.

"What? Why? How?" The red-head shrugged.

"I pissed a couple of people off… but I got my way," he began, approaching me slowly. He stopped in front of me, his hands grasping my hips in a way that made my heart beat crazily. "I did it because I wanted to make sure that we were okay." I swallowed.

"You… you what?" His gaze softened.

"Roxas, are we okay?" I felt my face redden as tears filled my eyes and I looked down at my feet, blinking a couple of times to hold them back and feeling even more ashamed for being mad at him the night before.

"Axel, why would you do that?" He raised my chin, making our eyes meet.

"You are the most important thing in the world to me, Roxas." He was trying to be neutral, but I could see the worry in his eyes. "You can't tell me that you don't know that. I won't lose you over something insignificant." I hugged him, holding him close.

"I'm sorry!"

"Roxas?" I held on tighter.

"I'm so, so sorry for how I acted… for what I said. I know that you love me. I can see that just by what you do for me… but I get so scared of losing you." Axel sighed again.

"Oh Roxas…"

"I'm so sorry… Please, forgive me," I begged him. Soft lips cut me off.

"Already done," he breathed.

I woke in the comfort of strong arms and couldn't stop smiling. When I looked up at Axel's sleeping face, I felt like the luckiest man in the world. My husband shifted pulling me closer. Then he peeked at me and a smile crept across his face.

"Why are you looking at me like you've won the lottery?" he murmured groggily.

"Oh no, I think I did better than that, Axel." His smile widened.

"C'mere you," was all the warning I had before he was pulling me on top of him. His hands framed my face and he kissed my already abused lips. Then he pulled my legs forward to frame his hips and my body down against his own. My pulse jumped as our bare skin met and Axel's pupils dilated, his eyelids lowering. His fingers trailed down my spine, sending trills up it. "I love you," he murmured. I smoothed back his mussed hair and kissed him back, letting him wrap his arms around me.

"I love you back," I murmured with a smile. "You know, I'm glad you stayed. This is nice."

"Oh I couldn't agree more," he replied drawing me in again with his delicious mouth. Before I knew it, we were getting carried away, completely wrapped up in the moment, only pulling apart when Axel's phone began to ring. Frowning deeply, he looked at the screen and with a heavy sigh, he answered.

"Hello?" He tensed drastically and paused, "Larxene? How did you get my…? No, know what, nevermind." He paused to listen before replying dubiously, "Really? What could possibly be so important?" His irritation only seemed to grow. "No. I said no." He shot me an apologetic look before closing his eyes and exhaling audibly. "Well, I'm sorry but plans change. Yes. Something more important came up." He grumbled something irritatedly under his breath. "Look, I will be there the day after tomorrow. It will just have to wait. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. Please don't bother me until then."

Axel laid there unmoving, after his conversation. His pale face had gotten some color during his altercation with Larxene and he looked unhappy to say the least. He shook his head before looking up at me and apologizing.

"I'm really sorry. I guess she tracked down my number because I wasn't there." I shrugged.

"It isn't your fault," I said, trying my best to be reassuring.

"I am so glad that I didn't marry her." I couldn't help but smile.

"Me too, Axel."

A grin worked its way across his face. Our eyes locked. His were sparkling with mischief. "Yeah, I definitely think I got the better deal." His grin widened and he pulled me closer, into another kiss.

A gentle touch of lips woke me.

"MmAxel?" I groaned. A soft exhalation kissed my cheek. The scent of mint awakened my senses.

"I wanted to say goodbye before I had to leave."

I opened my eyes, looking up at his beautiful face. He was smiling down at me fondly. My mouth opened and then shut before I spoke, rubbing my eyes. He was already dressed and ready to go. "You're leaving already?"

"I'm afraid so." I sat up, feeling sad. It must have shown on my face because he took his hand in my own. "Hey, it'll be okay, Roxas. I'll be back in about two weeks for my rematch with Tifa. You can come and watch, if you'd like." I couldn't help but smile at that.

"Yeah, I've been looking forward to that." Axel grinned and poked me in the stomach.

"Maybe I'll spar with you after that, before my next trip. So don't go getting soft while I'm gone," he teased as his eyelids lowered. I scoffed a bit, swatted his hand away and then smirked.

"Oh, I wouldn't dream of it." He smiled widely at me and kissed my forehead.

"I'll call you tonight, okay?"

"Okay…" I said, feeling my heart sink.

"Bye sweetheart," he murmured, moving to get up until I grasped his hand.

"Axel, wait." Short brows furrowed.

"Yes, Roxas?" With my free hand, I wove my fingers into his soft, soft hair and brought him close. Then I kissed him. His eyes slid shut and he groaned into my mouth. "You're going to make it harder to leave," he whispered against my lips, "aren't you?" I answered him by taking his mouth in an aggressive kiss, only pulling back to breathe when he was panting. "Oh Roxy… what am I going to do with you," he groaned huskily. I palmed his arousal.

"Naughty things, before you go?" I asked. Hazy green eyes met mine. He moaned when I stroked him though his pants.

"I don't have time," he protested, moaning when I ran my tongue along his racing pulse. Then I kissed him languidly.

"If that's how you feel, I guess…" I said in his ear, pulling away. I stopped when hands framed my face, my eyes meeting intense green before he was crashing our lips together. I hummed against his lips appreciatively and kissed him back, pinning him in the process. "Or do you want me to finish what I started, Axel?" I asked innocently while rolling our arousals together and pushing his black, crisp, dress shirt up, touching my bare skin to his. He moaned, a look of pleasure written across his face, looking entirely too enticing.

Without waiting for an answer, I let my hand trail down his abdomen, to his belt, undoing it with a rough jerk of my hand. Then I unfastened his pants. Axel spread his legs and his beautiful green eyes fluttered shut. It was all the consent I needed to caress his heated flesh, to make him moan, to stroke him until he was dripping. I kissed him distractingly, smearing precum across my fingers and he inhaled sharply when I put his legs over my shoulders and positioned my hand appropriately. His heart was pounding and his eyes were hazy from lust, almost begging me to take him. The allure was far too enticing.

Then, I did it. I don't know what came over me, but I shoved two fingers into his quivering ass as far as I could. I made him arch up, gasping, and I felt it. I felt his prostate and I rubbed it in a slow circle until his legs were shaking and he was sobbing from pleasure, jerking and twitching.

I kissed his neck, working my way up his racing pulse, to his ear. "You're so beautiful, Axel," I murmured, making him moan. I nipped his earlobe, making him shudder, and when he turned to me, I met him halfway, kissing him and playing with his body until neither of us could breathe. When we pulled apart, he half whimpered, half moaned my name. It turned me on like crazy. "Yes, Axel?" He blushed cutely at my husky tone. Shaking, he pulled me close.

"Make love to me," he purred into my ear. His voice in that moment was the sexiest thing I'd ever heard in my life. I kissed him hard, holding his wrists above his head and pinning him down with both of my hands. He held his breath when I positioned my dripping arousal where my hand had been. I rubbed the head in a slow circle, intending to slowly work my way in but Axel had other plans. He jerked his hips up, joining our bodies in one quick, fluid motion. My hands clenched around his wrists and I broke the kiss, moaning. I looked at his beautiful face, into his poisonous green eyes. They were dilated. More than I could ever remember them being and I couldn't remember being more turned on in my life than in that moment. That is, until he spoke, his long lashes lowering. "Take me, Roxy," he all but moaned, "fuck my tight ass until I'm screaming and can't see straight." He craned his neck forward to whisper in my ear, "And do not stop until you've filled me with every last drop of your cum." Then he demonstrated with a fluid movement of his hips, intentionally clenching his ass, and I lost it, hammering into him uncontrollably, and I watched that beautiful man fall apart in a way I'd never seen before. I'd never seen Axel come so undone, and it turned me on like crazy, seeing him like that. It made me want to do this to him over and over and over again.

I didn't fully realize that he was climaxing until his muscles clenched around me deliciously. A groan escaped my lips before I could stop it and Axel's lips met mine, our tongues twisting and tasting until I came, making him gasp and moan. I didn't realize that his legs were still trembling until a few moments later. Carefully, I let them down, shuddering when my essence trickled out of him. After another moment, he opened his eyes, his face still flushed, his lips reddened from kissing and propped himself up on his elbows. He was gorgeous.

Gently he brushed my hair out of my eyes and gave me a cat-like smile. "That was nice," he purred in that demanding yet sexy 'fuck me' voice. It left me breathless. Then, those silky fingers were trailing down my face and caressing my lips in feathery soft touches. "Let's get cleaned up. Then, if you want, we can go somewhere for breakfast."

"I thought you were late," I murmured back, entranced. Axel smirked.

"Well, a sexy little blond vixen made me miss my cab and probably my plane… So I'm going to make the most of it," he purred against my lips. My eyes widened.

"I did?! I'm so sorry Axel, I-" He cut me off with a warm, full, kiss.

"Don't be."

We had a wonderful time and things between us seemed perfect. More perfect than they had in a long time. I honestly wished that he didn't have to leave at all… Much too soon, I was watching him go… but I decided to make the most of it. Calling Demyx was something I'd been meaning to do, after all, and now was the opportune time to refine the skills he'd taught me.

Training with Demyx was almost as intense as training with Axel. Demy, bless his heart, wanted me to kick Axel's ass more than anything in the world. He said something about it being a good way for us to bond, to get closer. I couldn't help but laugh at the idea. Fighting to make us closer. It seemed backwards.

More than that though, I needed advice badly but I didn't know how to ask. The topic was rather intimate and… well… I wasn't entirely comfortable asking. However, I couldn't get Axel out of my head or the amazing time we'd had before he'd left, both in and out of the bedroom. If I'd known he'd react that way, I would have done it sooner and more often. There had to be ways to be more dominant, right?

"Demyx… I was wondering… could I ask you something?"

"Sure thing Rox!"

I chewed my lower lip, debating how wise it would be to ask Demyx of all people. After that morning, almost two weeks ago though, tying Axel up and fucking him senseless was all I could think about. I found myself blushing and I opened my mouth and then closed it. No… this was most definitely a bad idea.

"What do you think Axel would like for his birthday? I screwed up his birthday last year… and so I'm trying really hard to make this one great." Demyx replied without missing a beat.

"Sex." I blushed darkly, sputtering. "C'mon now, there's no need to be shy about it! You are married after all, it's perfectly acceptable to make love now and then." My blush only darkened as I recalled spending two days doing just that. I fidgeted a little.

"That… isn't an issue Demy…" The older blond's eyes lit up and he smirked devilishly.

"What?! You've been holding out on me?! Spill!"

"Wh-what?" I stuttered.

"C'mon, you know, like, how many nights a week?" I blushed.

"Uhm… this is weird." Demyx pouted.

"Roxy, I can't help if you're gonna be all shy." I sighed and buried my face in my hands.

"Uhm… pretty much every night, more than once? When we're together…" Demyx made an excited noise.

"That's an awesome thing!" I peeked at him and he was grinning. Not a good sign. "So, what does he like?" My face was burning.

"He uh… He likes it when I'm aggressive but it's been hard for me, since the accident… I feel… lost, I guess." Demyx smacked the table, making me jump.

"I know what you need to do!"

"You… do…?" Demyx nodded, leaning in conspiratorially.

"Yep! I had the same problem kindof with Zexy. He usually tops but…" He stopped when he saw the look on my face and smiled sheepishly. "Yeahhhh, sorry. Anyways!" He leant in close, like he was going to tell me a secret. "Bondage really helped. It helped me feel in control, y'kno?" I did know, but I wasn't going to tell him that. So, I nodded slowly.

"I don't want to leave marks on him, Demy…" The blond smirked and I almost regretted speaking.

"Oh don't worry, I have just the thing!"

Finally, the day came. The day I'd been so excited for. The rematch.

I was nervous for Tifa. Fighting Axel, as I'd learned for myself, wasn't an easy task.

The red-head cracked his neck, stretching before taking a defensive stance. I'd missed him so much. We'd hardly seen one another since he'd gotten back.

I watched Tifa take her stance as well, unable to look away. Her long black hair was tied back and she looked determined. More determined than their first match.

When the fight started, Axel lunged forward relentlessly and she blocked his attacks, but he would counter her defense and send her to the ground. As they progressed, however, after she picked herself up for the fourth time, I discovered that it was her strategy. She was reading Axel and his movements. She was learning and predicting what he'd do next. Obviously, she'd put a lot of work into becoming better.

On Axel's fifth counter attack, she reversed his counter and his eyes widened in surprise as he barely dodged her oncoming blow and the one that followed.

He smirked wildly, moving more aggressively and delivering more blows and she picked up the pace as well, trying as hard as she could to keep up with him but the fact remained that, Axel was just better than her. Despite that, she refused to give up, even as their fatigue grew.

A good half hour ticked by and the red-head spoke. "You don't give up, do you?" He asked haughtily, watching her pick herself up again. She smiled up at him poisonously.

"Nope!"

"Little girls should know when to go home," he taunted. Tifa's eyes darkened and she lunged at him, kicking for him. He caught her before she landed the blow but that didn't stop her from punching him in the ribs. Axel grasped her arms and twisted her away from him, trying to force her into a submissive position but she wasn't having it.

"Nobody will tell me to give up! Not even you, do you hear me?!" She yelled at him, kicking and thrashing. "I don't care who you are or who you think you are!" Then she threw her body back and slammed the back of her head into Axel's jaw.

Demyx gasped and I stared. The red-head had completely stilled. We could already tell that there would be a bruise. Axel didn't seem to care. In fact, he was expressionless. Calm in a scary way. Tifa wriggled out of his grasp and turned around, her eyes wide. She looked at Demyx and then back at Axel and for the first time, I saw a hint of fear and uncertainty in her eyes as he watched her, judged her, appraised her.

A sharp grin came across his face and he broke the silence.

"Roxas, come here." I felt my face heat up, but obeyed. It wasn't like him to tell me to do something. He didn't speak again until I was beside him. "Tifa, this is Roxas, my better half," he continued. She nodded, greeting me with a polite but uncertain 'hello'. "Roxas, I want you to train with our newest addition three times a week for an hour. It'll be better for both of you to practice and learn with someone who is more of an equal." Tifa stood there shocked for a long moment. Then she lit up, grinning happily.

"Wow, really!?" She exclaimed. Axel smiled, happy with his decision. Then he turned to me.

"Will you do that for me, Roxy?" He asked in a way that made my pulse spike. He'd known I wouldn't refuse. I just knew it. I smiled at him sweetly.

"I'd love to, Axel." Then, I turned my attention to Tifa.

"It's great to finally meet you, Demyx has told me a lot about you." She laughed, scratching the back of her neck.

"Yeah? Sounds about right," she replied, "good ol' Demy." I smiled, happy for her.

"Does tomorrow work for you?" I asked. "We can meet up here, around three." She brightened.

"Yeah, that sounds great! Thank you Roxas!" I nodded.

"It's settled then," came Axel's smooth, strong voice. An equally strong arm slid around me. Axel looked proud of me. It made me feel good about myself. "Are you ready?" He asked. I nodded.

"You look like you are too," I replied. He laughed at that, smirking before holding his hand out for Tifa, who shook it, his beautiful green eyes sparkling.

"Thanks for the challenge," he purred satisfactorily. She grinned.

"Any time, boss!" Axel laughed at that, richly.

"Careful, I might take you up on that," he replied. She smirked at that.

"Sounds great!" Demyx laughed, grinning from ear to ear, and Axel pulled his hand away.

"C'mon sis, let's go celebrate," he cut in, putting his arm around her and stealing her away. I smiled up at Axel and he smiled back, slipping his hand into mine.

"I know I said we could fight but…" I laughed.

"You're exhausted. Let's go home for now," He kissed the top of my head.

"Thanks."
