Always Chapter 18
A/n: Hi, I'm still alive. I've just been out of commission for a bit cos a certain little someone broke my computer screen |:
xXx
Axel slipped away, opening his dresser and finding some jeans to wear and I couldn't stop watching him. The way he moved, everything about him was so perfect. I could barely believe he was forgiving me already. I didn't even deserve it.
I watched him, distractedly. His clothes fit him snugly, clinging to the curves of his body and had holes in them. He rummaged for a moment longer, finding a black shirt to wear that also clung to his body nicely. As if he could feel me watching him, he glanced over his shoulder, smiling wryly when he saw me staring. He ran a hand through his fiery spikes, bunching them between his fingers while he pulled it into a low ponytail.
"See something you like?" he hummed both teasingly and knowingly. My face reddened and his smile widened. Slowly he approached me with graceful movements, his hips swaying purposefully.
"Yeah," I whispered back. "You." Axel grinned, his beautiful green eyes glittering. "How can someone possibly be so sexy?" I asked him. His lips parted but instead of speaking, he pressed an open mouthed kiss to my cheek. It left my heart stuttering in my chest.
"Well," he mused, speaking directly into my ear, "I do try." I gasped when he teased the outer shell with his teeth in a playful nip, and turned my head, meeting him in a kiss. His lips were still curved upward even as we broke apart. "I have a certain blond that needs seducing, now and then, you know."
"Oh yeah? Who would that be?" I whispered back, feeling my heart beat faster. I gasped when his lips hovered near mine.
"You, gorgeous," he purred. I shook my head.
"Can't be me," I whispered back, staring into his shimmering green eyes, "I'm already seduced." Axel chuckled, brushing his nose against mine and then his lips pressed to mine in a deep caress. "Get dressed babe, I need to talk to Xaldin. We're gonna go out." His mouth found mine again and I blinked after him dazedly but he was gone before I could ask where we were going.
I ran a hand through my unruly hair, trying to tame it down. It halfway cooperated. With a frown, I padded over to the closet, looking for something to wear, settling on something comfortable- jeans and a white and black t-shirt with a checkered pattern at the sleeves. I slipped on a dark grey hooded sweatshirt over it and then folded my arms over my stomach sinking down onto the bed while I thought about Axel. I loved him but I didn't like him telling me what we were doing instead of asking. I hadn't done a good job of protecting myself so I knew that he was worried about me and I wanted him to forgive me, but he still needed to remember that I didn't want him thinking he needed to protect me from everything.
I was startled out of my thoughts when the door opened, my breath catching at the sight of the beautiful red-head. "Yo, Xaldin, looks like we're ready to-" he called out into the living room. I went to him and took his hand, pulling him back into the bedroom and he blinked at me.
"Can it be just the two of us?" I asked softly. Axel's lips quirked downward. "Please?"
There was a knock on our doorframe and Xaldin peered into the room but Axel's gaze remained locked on me. He was thinking about it, which was a good sign. Finally, he answered me. "If I take you somewhere," he drawled, shaking a finger at me and smirking slightly, "You've gotta stay by me okay?"
"I promise," I whispered back. Axel's lips tugged up into a grin as he glanced back at the raven haired man.
"Nevermind then. You can take a break if you want to while we go out." With a soft smile he added, "I'm sure Siax misses you." Xaldin watched him seriously.
"Only if you're sure," he replied. Axel nodded nonchalantly and tugged me close, wrapping an arm around my waist.
"I'm just going to refamiliarize Rox with a few things and I did promise him all of my attention," he replied. I gazed at him uncertainly as Xaldin interrupted. Refamiliarize?
"I really don't mind, Axel. I can drive you or watch the house or-" he protested, stopping when Axel shook his head and waved at him dismissively.
"We're taking the motorcycle. Besides, Demyx and Zexion are here. Go," he commanded, the finality of his tone ending the conversation.
"Call me if you need anything," Xaldin answered worriedly. With a short nod and a grin Axel answered.
"Of course." I was still staring at him in confusion when our eyes met again. Axel's grin sharpened and he pulled me closer, kissing me deeply. I melted into the caress, gasping when we broke apart. "Well then, let's go," he murmured.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"The borderlands. To the gun range," he told me lightly. I faltered.
"Why?"
"I want to know for myself that you won't hesitate if I'm right about Larxene," he told me. I frowned defensively.
"But you aren't!" I protested. Axel watched me patiently. My breath caught when he grasped either side of my face, being careful of the bruise, and stared into my eyes.
"Baby, that isn't a guarantee," he promised. "So don't be stubborn. Ease my fears, just a little bit?" he pleaded gently. I pouted at him.
"I would like it if you would ask me instead of tell me, Axel," I said with a frown. His green eyes gentled and I all but melted again. Damn it I needed to learn how to tell him no.
"Please Roxas, do this with me today? I need to know you're safe," he said gently. I sighed agitatedly.
"Fine."
"Want to go for ice cream after or something? Whatever you'd like," he suggested, able to tell that I was still upset. I frowned more deeply.
"You can't always get your way by bribing me with ice cream, Axel, I'm not going to forgive you that easily," I told him, completely frustrated. He blinked at me. Wait, what was I saying? His hands eased down to my shoulders, slowly giving them a gentle squeeze.
"That's not…" His eyes slid shut and he sighed. "Okay, what's wrong, sweetheart? Talk to me." I bit my lower lip, chewing at it nervously as I got my thoughts together.
"Axel I know that you are worried about me and I don't want to fight about it but," I told him, our eyes locking sharply, "I'm my own person. You can't control my life. You can't." Axel shrugged, attempting to seem unaffected but I could tell that he was bothered.
"You're the one asking me to let Larxene go, Roxas." There was a bitingly cold edge of disapproval in his voice. "If you'd rather, I can just take care of her and then we won't have to worry about it ever again." I frowned at him. "I take threats to your safety very seriously." My frown deepened when he continued. "So you're going to need to do as I say for now or I just can't keep my promise to you that I won't hurt her or your kidnappers." I scoffed at him.
"It's always like this, Axel! That's why I tried to be friends with Fuu in the first place! Everything I do has to be approved by you first!" Axel blinked in shock and gasped in surprise, looking almost as if I'd hit him. He processed it for a full minute before his brows furrowed.
"Are you saying that this is my fault?" he asked breathlessly, squeezing my shoulders.
"I'm just…" I said, trailing off with a miserable sigh, not knowing how to express what I was trying to say, "You've gotta let me make my own choices, even if they end up turning into mistakes. How else am I going to learn?" Axel nodded slowly and let go of me. He hugged himself, shuddering.
"I'm not going to allow you to get hurt Roxas," he murmured, paling. The look in his eyes was harrowing. "You're my husband!" I searched his eyes, feeling guilty. "I love you, I love you so much and I just can't let that happen." I sighed, shaking my head.
"But you can't let that get in the way of letting me live, Axel. You've never even let me stay by myself when you go away. You never even asked what I wanted to do. You just arranged it for me. You still do it," I told him.
"You've never been alone, Roxas. I was trying to look out for you, I just…" His hands covered his face as he exhaled shakily. "Oh God you've never even stayed here alone. I'm smothering you," he realized, sounding small. I went to him, lowering his hands and twining his fingers with mine. He looked so torn and upset and it was the last thing I'd wanted. His mouth opened before shutting again. "I'm so sorry," he whispered, his eyes falling shut. "Look… We don't… we don't have to go anywhere today… I just…"
"Axel…" I whispered back, "I just wanted you to realize how you were making me feel. I don't want you to feel bad for it…" He listened carefully, nodding and looking guilty. "I love you and you're right. You do deserve some reassurance. I want to go, if you're still willing to take me."
"Of course I am," he whispered back seriously, our eyes meeting, "I'd do anything, anything for you." I smiled at him and gave his hands another squeeze.
"Well let's go then," I told him. Axel smiled back but looked distracted as he led me, his fingers detangling from mine to pluck up his jacket. I watched him put it on, and then throw a bag over his shoulder before following him out to the garage. He shut the door behind us and I turned to him, searching those green eyes. "Are you alright?" I asked.
"Well," he murmured back, shrugging, "I was just thinking about what you said."
"I'm sor-" I tried but stopped when his fingers pressed to my lips.
"Don't ever be sorry for telling me what's on your mind," he told me, "I want to know." His eyes slid shut. "I need to know if I'm being overbearing." My heart pounded as I stared at him. "Roxas," he said softly, "I'm sorry. I will make this up to you." My eyes never left him as I watched in confusion, unsure of what he meant.
"You don't have to make anything up to me, Axel…" I told him. Our eyes met and I found myself lost in those green eyes. He didn't say anything, just took my hand but instead of going to the motorcycle, he took me to the car. "Uh… I thought…"
"I know," he murmured back, watching me for a long moment. "But I wanted to ask you something." I tilted my head, curious. "You don't even know how to drive. You never did, even before…" He told me, trailing off as his face reddened. He didn't like to talk about the memory loss if he didn't have to. He cleared his throat, drawing my attention to him. "So I wanted to ask if you wanted to learn, sometime." I stared at the vehicle for a long moment.
"Uhm, I guess I haven't thought about it before," I told him hesitantly. "Is it hard?" I asked. Axel shook his head. "I'll let you know."
"Okay." He hesitated again. "Would you rather take the car?" he asked. I smiled at him, shaking my head and standing on my toes so I could kiss him.
"Either is fine, Axel." He kissed me back and shook his head.
"Choose." I blinked at him. I hadn't expected him to take what I'd said to heart like this.
"Okay, but only if you relax," I murmured. He nodded and I grasped his shoulders, tugging him close. "I want to take the motorcycle," I told him, running my fingers through his fiery hair and whispering, "It's my favorite," before kissing him. He kissed back, our tongues tangling, and I knew I was going to be in trouble if he didn't stop. His kisses always left me feeling weak. I pulled back, gasping and he followed, kissing me deeply. I shuddered, surrendering to him, groaning when my back pressed into the car. He broke the kiss and my heart pounded at how he was watching me.
"I can teach you how to drive that too, you know," he murmured. I gasped, groaning as he trailed kisses down my jaw, pausing to suck at the spot behind my ear. I turned my head, allowing him better access.
"Y-yeah?" I asked, gasping sharply when he bit my neck.
"Mhm," he hummed, suckling at the flesh and making me moan.
"Wh-what else do you think you have to do, huh?" I groaned, trying to get my thoughts together. I could hardly think straight as he kissed me again. "I wasn't trying to make you feel bad, you know?" Axel kissed me deeply.
"I know," he told me with a shrug. Then he was grinning. "I just didn't think about how I'd been denying you such basic things and it makes me feel kindof awful," he admitted, "and," he added, his lips quirking upward further, "I don't have to do anything. I want to do it or I wouldn't have offered." I stared into his eyes for a long moment and he just smiled back. Then he was taking my hand and we were mounting the motorcycle in no time at all. He handed me a helmet and I took it, watching him for another moment before putting it on. My heart wouldn't stop pounding.
I wrapped my arms around him but I barely noticed the ride. I was too lost in my thoughts as the air whipped around us. I had not expected him to take me so seriously. I'm not sure why, it's not like he'd ever not taken me seriously but… I hadn't wanted him to feel bad. There were even things beyond his control that he wanted to do for me. It wasn't his fault I hadn't had a normal childhood, that I'd never been alone, that I still didn't know how to do things, but he wanted to make it up to me somehow, like it was his fault. I clung to him more tightly, watching the scenery fly by, recognizing the canyons as we got close to the edge of Hollow Bastion. We were close to our destination.
I closed my eyes, just feeling his body against mine, never wanting to let go. Finally, we slowed to a stop. Axel's hands found mine and squeezed gently. Hesitantly, I let him go and got off of the motorcycle. He took my helmet, ruffling my hair with a smile and making me scoff. He grinned, staring into my eyes affectionately and tugged a chunk asking if I was ready, earning a pout in response. Chuckling, he kissed my forehead and wrapped an arm around my waist, steering me toward the gun range.
We walked through the door and I glanced around the shop curiously. I remembered coming here a long time ago but I don't think it was Axel that took me. Maybe it had been Demyx. Actually, I wasn't sure Axel had seen me shoot a gun before and it made me feel extremely self-conscious.
"Axel! I don't see much of you anymore," a man greeted, startling me out of my thoughts. There was a man behind the counter with dark skin. He was wearing sunglasses even though he was indoors. He had no hair. I glanced up at Axel. He was grinning excitedly.
"Rude! It's really great to see you, how are you doing?!" I blinked at him, wondering how Axel knew him.
"Not too bad," he said with a soft laugh. "New addition?" he asked, referring to me, "You hardly ever see to training them anymore." As I blushed, Axel shook his head.
"Actually, this is my husband," he replied, grinning sharply, "Roxas I'd like you to meet Rude. He was a good friend of my brother's," he explained. My eyes widened a bit. "We've known each other for a long time." The man, Rude, smiled at me.
"It's nice to meet you, Roxas," he said politely. Nodding I smiled back.
"You too," I murmured back. With a grin he turned to Axel.
"Well I won't keep you if you're on a date or something," he said sheepishly. "Go on down," he told us. Axel crossed his arms and I frowned at him in confusion.
"Oh no you don't, what do I owe you?" he insisted. Rude shook his head.
"Seeing you is enough, Axel. Today's on me," he replied, "now go, have fun!" Before he could protest, I took his hand tugging. His eyes met mine and I smiled up at him, making him sigh.
"Fine, I'll just start paying you more than what you're asking for, for your rate," he challenged. Grinning, Rude shrugged.
"Then I'll happily refund you." I laughed, watching them banter back and forth, Axel finally following me down the stairs. I began to feel nervous again when we approached the targets. Axel handed me mufflers for hearing protection, slipping a pair around his neck for himself.
"How long have you known Rude?" I asked, trying to distract myself so I wouldn't become too tense. Axel rolled his eyes playfully.
"Too long. Him and Reno became friends when we were still kids. They were inseparable for the longest time," he told me. "I never understood why they were so close. Reno was always aggravating and hotheaded to others. He didn't have many friends but I guess Rude never minded. He had a soft spot for him but their relationship was strictly platonic." I nodded, smiling a little.
"You probably remind him of Reno. I bet he misses him." Frowning a little, Axel nodded back.
"Yeah." He set the bag on the ground, between our targets. I must have been watching it curiously because he crouched down and said, "Guns and ammunition," before opening it. I watched him as he pulled out a gun and a box of bullets, loading it and handing it to me. It felt heavy in my hand. I blinked as he pulled out another, loading it as well. There were bigger guns and several boxes. I swallowed.
"That's uhm, a lot," I told him. Sharp green eyes flashed up, locking with mine. He grinned at me and was practically purring when he spoke again.
"I thought we'd have fun together," he replied. Somehow it was arousing, the thought of watching him in his element. I swallowed, wracking my brain. I couldn't remember there being a time when I'd seen him shooting, aside from when he'd saved me from my father but I knew that he was good. He'd managed to kill someone when he'd been injured himself… Axel stood and I stopped thinking. "I'll go first," he told me. When I nodded, he covered his ears with the mufflers, glancing at me. I mimicked him, covering mine as well and he only looked away to take a stance and aim. His sharp eyes locked on the target and he clicked off the safety.
Bang, bang, bang. Axel hit three critical points on his target without flinching. I just stared at him and then his target, feeling nervous all over again. I took a deep breath, trying to ignore how sexy he looked with a gun in his hand, too. I didn't want to think about him being there at all. I had to do well. I had to show him. I needed to remember my training. I closed my eyes, breathing for a moment. Thinking of Demyx helped, and when I opened my eyes again, taking my stance and preparing myself for the kickback, I aimed, clicked off the safety and pulled the trigger, hitting the target's face, just not exactly where I'd wanted. I tried again and again, improving each time as I concentrated but completely tensed when I saw him moving toward me and missed every time after that.
"You're making me nervous!" I yelled so he'd hear me. His lips curved upward and he put on the safety before tucking away his gun. He said something but I didn't quite hear him and so I tugged down the mufflers, staring at him questioningly. He tugged his down as well and repeated himself.
"Yeah, you're shaking." I blushed. "I thought you might be scared." I scoffed at him.
"It's not my fault! You're watching me for the first time! It's nerve-wracking," I huffed. Green eyes sparkled.
"Okay, I won't watch until you're ready," he told me. I almost protested until I realized it was probably going to be better that way, nodding instead.
Axel left me with two guns and a box of ammunition for each. I watched him move further down and felt myself relaxing. Once the hearing protection was back in place, I resumed practicing, able to enjoy myself a bit. I felt more confident when I didn't miss again, and reloaded the gun, shooting until I ran out of ammunition. Before I switched to the other, I glanced toward Axel.
He had two guns and was shooting both simultaneously at multiple moving targets, a sharp grin on his face. He wasn't missing. I stared, unable to help myself, until the rounds ran out. His grin widened, becoming absolutely cat-like and his sharp green eyes locked with mine. He'd known I'd been watching him. I floundered for a moment, wondering if I should be embarrassed or not. Before I could decide, he crouched down, picking up a bigger gun and loading it, still watching me with that grin and I realized I was breathing hard. Those green eyes were bewitching, beckoning me, and without thinking, I gathered my things and went to him.
Axel watched me for a moment before taking his stance, aiming and shooting a bullseye on every target he shot at. He was still shooting when I resumed shooting, this time beside him. I barely noticed that he'd stopped until I'd run out of bullets. I blinked and looked to my left, seeing him grinning at me approvingly. I smiled back and he offered me his gun, taking the empty one and reloading it.
I held it uncertainly. I wasn't sure if he wanted me to shoot it or how to. Realizing this, Axel came up behind me, but when he touched me, it startled me and I yelped in surprise and accidentally set it off. Chuckling, Axel clicked on the safety and then guided me wordlessly, showing me how. When his hands settled on my hips again, I gave it another try and was pushed back into him with bruising force when it went off. I took a firmer stance, trying again.
I stopped when lips pressed to the back of my neck. I shuddered when teeth teased the spot. Axel took the gun out of my hands, setting it aside. I tilted my head back, looking up into his face. Those green eyes contained a burning quality that was infectious. My entire body heated up in response. "Ahhah-Axel," I groaned helplessly. He couldn't have heard me but I knew he knew what I'd said by the look on his face. He said something that looked like my name on his lips, his face contorted in pleasure and took my mouth hungrily, pressing his lips to mine hard. I threaded my fingers into his hair, pulling, and felt him moan against my mouth. He said something and I watched him confusedly. He yanked off my hearing protection and then his own.
"I want you," he whispered huskily, right into my ear. My body heated up dangerously. I laughed breathlessly.
"Uhm, does that mean that I did a good job?" I asked him. He didn't say anything, letting his lips devour mine as an answer instead. "We… can't… here…" I gasped between kisses. We were alone for the moment but someone else could come down and there were cameras. I groaned in pleasure when he bit my lower lip before my eyes widened. "Axel, no!" He kissed me again, deeper, and I moaned deeply, feeling heat settling between my legs.
"I know," he groaned softly, letting me go and taking a few steps back. My heart was pounding out of control and I stared at him. He was just as aroused as I was and it made it harder to breathe.
"A-Axe…" Shit my voice was weak. I took a sobering breath and turned around when his eyes became even hotter. This was really bad. He closed the space between us, grabbed me and kissed me hard. I moaned, surrendering against his lips and kissed him back. He was breathing hard against my face when he broke away, those sharp green eyes devouring me. His hands gripped me more tightly.
"I know," he repeated, moaning the words this time. When he kissed me again, I completely melted. I wasn't going to deny him again. I already knew it. We were both breathing harshly when he broke the kiss. "We're leaving. Now. And when we get home you're mine," he told me. Shuddering, I helped him gather our things. Axel zipped the bag and took my hand, practically dragging me out of the place. I laughed, giving Rude a hasty wave as we exited the gun range.
The ride back was awful. I was holding Axel but neither of us could touch each other yet. In retrospect, the car may have been better, but neither of us had anticipated this. Axel was driving faster, probably speeding, because the drive seemed shorter this time, not that either of us minded.
When we finally got back to the house and had safely parked, Axel's lips found mine. We hadn't even gotten off of the motorcycle yet. He pulled me close, delving into my mouth and I buried my hands into his hair, kissing him hard. Axel groaned, once again tugging me along. We got to the door before he broke the kiss, and I chuckled at his look of desperation as he fumbled with the handle. We stumbled up the stairs into the living room, our fingers tangled together. He turned back to me, his eyes hot with arousal and opened his mouth. I was startled when I heard Demyx's voice instead of Axel's.
"Hey guys! How was the gun range?" He asked, his melodious voice full of sunshine and happiness. Axel's eyes fell shut and I groaned. I'd forgotten they were here. Demyx, who was sitting on the couch next to Zexion, frowned. "Did something happen?"
Axel shook his head, his lips forming a thin line. "No, he did great, Demyx." Axel forced a smile. "You taught him well. Good job." Demyx looked confused but Zexion studied Axel and then me and smiled wryly.
"Do you need us to leave for a while?" he asked archly. I blushed and Axel shot him a frustrated look. They both knew how much I disliked other people knowing about the more intimate details of our life.
"Why would you need to leave, Zexion?" He asked sardonically. Demyx's confusion grew and the slate-haired man smirked.
"Oh, sorry, my mistake," he murmured back calmly. I covered my face with my hand, hoping that it hid my blush, even a little. I was mortified, even more that I couldn't stop wanting Axel, even though Zexion knew exactly what I wanted to do to him. They needed to leave. I drug it down to my chin, wiping it across my face, hesitating just as Demyx spoke.
"Mistaken? What's going on Zexion?" he asked. I sighed, shaking my head.
"No, he wasn't. It'd be best if you left before we jump each other in front of you," I told him bluntly. Three things happened at once. Aquamarine eyes sparkled and Demyx gave us a perverted grin, Zexion's lips curved up into a smile and Axel stared at me in shock. I inclined my head toward the red-head. "Unless you've changed your mind, because I haven't," I told him. Axel blushed, making Demyx giggle.
"C'mon Zexy, let's give them some alone time," he said, waggling his eyebrows at us before winking. "See you tomorrow Axe," he said, giggling again, tugging Zexion along, who was still grinning at us. Axel's eyes widened in shock, watching as they left, clicking the door shut and locking it behind them.
Axel stared at me for a moment. It was just the two of us. "Since when do they listen to you over me?" he asked. I smirked at him.
"Demyx is always encouraging me to have sex with you," I told him with a shrug. "I was guessing he'd jump at the opportunity." Axel blinked.
"And Xaldin's gone too… Y-you! I can't believe that you got everyone sent home!" he gasped in realization. I shrugged, smiling at him.
"Hey now, not everyone. Xaldin was your idea. I just asked to go to the gun range alone," I told him. Axel chuckled, shaking his head. I grasped his shoulders, standing on my toes and whispered, "And then you got me all hot and bothered. Do you even know how sexy you look shooting a gun?" Axel's brows furrowed, his expression melting into arousal. I kissed him gently, running my hands through his fiery hair.
Axel groaned and attacked my lips with his hungrily, pulling me against him. I grinned when he hoisted me up and wrapped my legs around his waist. My back met a nearby wall as he ravaged my mouth, working his way down my chin, and then my neck, mouthing at the flesh hungrily. I moaned garbled versions of his name loudly when he began to rock our hips together, my legs trembling as I moved with him frantically. He moaned, burying his hands into my hair and pulling hard.
"N-no Axel, I want," I gasped, pausing to moan, "I want you," I groaned. Breathing hard, Axel carried me to our bedroom. Our hands tugged apart belts and I pulled his pants off, mine sliding down to my knees. He reached for the hem of my sweatshirt but I grasped his hands, pinning them to either side of his head and kissed him, pressing him into the mattress.
"I'm going to get your clothes dirty," he panted between kisses.
"I don't care," I nearly growled back, kissing him again. "I want you now," I told him. Axel moaned and I grasped his legs, pulling him up. His breath hitched when my tongue worked into him, loosening him up as he cried out and begged for more. His green eyes were glistening and his legs were trembling when I drew back. Axel reached under the pillow, fumbling for the lube. He let out a few explicatives when he couldn't find it and sat up halfway, ripping the pillow off of the bed and throwing it across the room. I chuckled at his look of exasperation that only became more desperate until he found it. I watched as he squeezed it onto his hands, rubbing it before smearing it on my erection. "You okay?" I asked.
Nodding he answered, "Shut up and make love to me, Roxas."
I pushed him down, pulling his legs up and apart, rocking into his body. It had been a while and he was tight. It felt amazing. Axel was breathing deeply, relaxing his body. I let him adjust, moving cautiously. Shaking his head, he wrapped his legs around my waist, forcing me in deeper and faster. He was gasping and I was moaning softly, adding force to my thrusts, pushing him closer to the edge and making his cries more desperate. He moved against me wildly, and I grasped his hips, pulling him up and hitting his prostate. He cried out breathlessly and I assaulted that spot until he was screaming out in pleasure and coming hard. His tightening body pushed me over the edge and I came as well.
We were breathing hard, slowly coming back down from the high. I was lying beside him and he was trailing his fingers through my damp hair. I stared into his green eyes and he chuckled softly, saying something about my sweatshirt getting dirty after all. I took it off and threw it across the room. He smiled, taking me into his arms and kissing me gently. I kissed him back and somewhere along the line we got carried away, losing our shirts and becoming undeniably aroused. I had him again and then he was falling asleep in my arms, completely exhausted.
I stroked his fiery hair, listening as his erratic heartbeat slowed down, my own still jumping in my chest, absolutely satisfied. I kissed him softly and covered us both with a blanket, eventually falling asleep beside him. It was perfect, just like it should be.
