''Mami can I open gifts now?'' Sofia asks after they sat and talked for a bit after lunch, Santana chuckles and nods her head.
''Of course you can mija, here or in the living room?''
''Living room!'' Sofia exclaims sliding off of her lap, she takes Liam's hand in her own and looks up at her mami. ''Can Li and I play after?'' She squeals as her mami nods her head and pulls him into the living room, Santana laughs slowly standing up and turns to her friends. ''Make sure to cover your ears, she will squeal a lot.''
She smiles as they all laugh and follows them into the living room grabbing the huge bag containing her gift standing beside the front door knowing everyone else grabbed their own, she walks over to her daughter crouching down in front of her and kisses her head. ''I hope you will like this mi corazón.''
She sits back leaning against the love seat beside Brittany's leg and smiles as she watches her daughter rip off the gift paper asking Liam to help her, she glances up at the blonde and bites her lip as she shoots her a wink with a loving smile playing on her lips.
''Whoa Frozen!'' Liam gasps out as soon as he sees the box.
''The castle!'' Sofia squeaks out with a bright smile, she jumps up sprinting over to her mami and tackles her in a hug. ''Gracias mami! I love it.''
Santana laughs wrapping her arms around her waist and pulls her close kissing her head. ''I am glad you do mi corazón, we will build it later okay?''
''You will build Lego with me?'' Sofia asks her eyes widening in excitement, Santana smiles sheepishly as she hears her friends laugh knowing she will have a few screaming fits whenever it doesn't fit like she wants to and rubs the back of her neck. ''Well no but my next gift is sitting right next to me.'' She tells her while nodding her head to Brittany. ''Britty will build it with you.''
Brittany laughs as Sofia turns to her grinning in excitement and nods her head. ''We will build it tonight or tomorrow princess, your mami asked me if I can build it with you because she and Lego will never become good friends.''

Sofia giggles hearing her mami's protest and walks over to Brittany pulling herself up to sit in her lap, she kisses her cheek and nods her head. ''Yeah mami doesn't like Lego, but now I have you and I know you can build.''
''She really can, she helped me build the Harry potter castle!'' Liam exclaims giggling as he hears Santana grumble, he walks over to Santana and kisses her cheek while wrapping his little arms around her shoulders. ''Don't be sad Sanny, mommy can't draw but you can so we will draw with you and build with mommy.''
Santana laughs ruffling his hair hearing her daughter chime in her agreement and smiles lovingly not noticing their friends all exchange knowing smiles and her parents confused frowns. ''That sounds amazing Li.'' She leans back to look up at her daughter and smiles lovingly. ''Next gifts mija.''
She smiles as they both immediately walk back to the middle taking gifts one by one from everyone and watches them unwrap each gift together most of them all belonging to the castle so her daughter has the whole set.
Brittany chuckles watching her son and Sofia start to play with the dolls she got from Yolanda and George and clears her throat grabbing the bag containing her gifts. ''Forgot something prince?''
''Oh!'' Liam exclaims giggling, he jogs over to her taking the gift he wrapped with the help of his mommy and walks over to his best friend holding it out with a cute smile. ''This is from me Sof.''
Sofia unwraps the gift after thanking him and smiles brightly as she sees the frozen tiara fastened on top of the original gift, Liam giggles taking it off of the box and places it on her head. ''Your mami and my mommy call you princess, now you are really one.'' He tells her as he leans in kissing her cheek.
''Little dude is smooth.'' Puck breaths out laughing softly as he hears everyone except for Santana's parents coo, Heather turns to him and smirks.
''He takes after his mommy.''
''I am not that smooth.'' Brittany exclaims laughing. ''I didn't even know he would say that.''
Santana laughs softly seeing the light blush on her daughters cheek and tilts her head back to look up at Brittany. ''You sure about that?'' She asks softly so only she can hear.
''Shut up.'' Brittany murmurs softly feeling her cheeks heat up, Santana laughs evilly and turns back to her daughter.
''What you got there mija?'' Sofia looks down at the box and smiles brightly.
''All Frozen movies on blu-ray mami!'' She squeals out excitedly, she flips the smaller box and squeals loudly. ''And the audio book!''
Santana's eyebrows raise in surprise knowing how much they cost and turns her head to look at Brittany, Brittany shrugs her shoulders and smiles slightly. ''She is so worth it.'' She murmurs softly, she leans forward reaching into the bag once again and places a bigger slightly heavier box in front of Sofia. ''Princess here is the last one.''
She leans back smiling as both kids immediately start tearing off the paper and leans over to cover Santana's ears wincing herself as two ear deafening squeals almost burst her ear drums, Santana laughs pulling her hands off of her ears and looks over her shoulder shaking her head. ''Idiot.'' She murmurs in amusement.
''Your hearing is better as mine, shut up nerd.'' Brittany grumbles softly as she softly kicks her, she grunts as two little bodies jump on top of her and laughs as they bounce while squealing out their joy. ''Whoa tone down a little please, I can't hear a thing.'' She tells them laughing.
Sofia slows down catching her breath and throws her little arms around her shoulders squeezing as hard as she can. ''Thank you, thank you, thank you Britty!''
Brittany chuckles and kisses the top of her head running her hand down her sons back as she also feels him kissing her cheek. ''Anytime princess, now you and Li can continue singing but not as loud as you did before.''
Santana turns to look at the box as soon as she heard that and her eyebrows raise in surprise as she sees a frozen karaoke machine, she bites her lip the words Brittany murmured moments before that her daughter is worth it now really hitting her as she notices how much she spend on her and swallows thickly.

She thinks to herself feeling her heart skip a beat as she hears the happiness in her daughters voice the second she gushes about the karaoke machine not once saying something about the teddy bears her grandparents gifted her, she looks over at them noticing the strange silence and sees them both glaring at the blonde while their friends and family take their turn to glare at them daring them to say something wrong.
Brittany chuckles as both kids calm down and kisses their heads. ''Go play for a bit.'' She tells them softly not noticing the mood change around them, she places them down and slides down to sit down beside Santana helping Sofia with unpacking the karaoke machine so she can look at it. ''Your mami or I will connect it to the TV in a bit okay?''
''Okay.'' Sofia murmurs with a cute smile, she throws her arms around her shoulders once again and kisses her cheek. ''Te amo Britty.''
Brittany smiles lovingly and runs her hand through her dark hair as she kisses her forehead. ''I love you too sweetheart.'' She murmurs softly her heart soaring at hearing her say it for the first time ever not noticing Santana also turn to them with barely hidden shock, Santana smiles lovingly seeing the look of pure happiness on her daughters face and bites her lip looking at the couch where all of her friends are seated.
She slowly nods her head as she sees them all smiling knowingly and smiles slightly.

Brittany clears her throat taking a sip of her coke as Sofia jogs off to play with her son trying to hide her emotions and glances at her family, she chuckles as she sees Naya smirk knowingly while shooting her a wink and covertly flips her off rolling her eyes as she burst out laughing.
''Well it's no wonder that our granddaughter likes you so much Brittany, kids will always like kids.'' Maribel exclaims with an eye roll as she sees the emotions clear on the younger blondes face.
''Mami!'' Santana warns shooting her a glare, Brittany places her glass down and looks up at the woman.
''You know Mrs Lopez, I don't give a damn what you think about me and what you think of my lifestyle you have nothing to say about my life and you also know nothing about what happened.'' She locks eyes with her raising an eyebrow daring her to say something and smirks as she takes the wise choice to keep her mouth shut. ''Before you judge me, take a walk in my shoes, take the path god once gave me to survive and come out as strong as I am now.'' She tells her shrugging.
''You are twenty, what do you call life?'' Emilio asks in amusement. ''You just barely finished high school.''
Brittany laughs dryly and closes her eyes as she sees both kids turning to look at them frowning. ''You really want to ruin your only granddaughters birthday by being like this?'' She asks, she shoots Sofia a loving smile and shakes her head turning back to the people the little girl calls her grandparents. ''Yes I might have just graduated and am the youngest here in the room, but age doesn't tell you what went on in someone's life.''
Santana frowns hearing the hidden pain in Brittany's voice and reaches out taking her hand in her own. ''Britt-Britt don't'' She murmurs softly, Brittany turns to her and smiles slightly.
''No worries only people I trust knows what happened, people who will never play an important part in my life will never hear anything.'' She reassures her, she turns back to the two oldest in the room and forces a smile.
''Abuelo, Abuela why are you talking like that to Britty?'' Sofia asks frowning cutting whatever Brittany wanted to say off as she walks around the couch placing her hands on her hips, Liam walking past her and cuddles into his mommy knowing she will feel better as soon as he is near.
''It's nothing sweetheart just some adult talk, go back to play.'' Emilio tells his granddaughter with a forced kind smile, Sofia shakes her head and frowns.
''No adult talk happens when children aren't there like mami always does, you always do this on my birthday you look angry at Abuelo and Abuela Rivera, at my aunties and uncles and now also at Britty.'' She tells them getting upset.
''Mija.'' Santana breaths out sadly, she leans forward grabbing her around the waist and pulls her in her lap. ''It's okay baby.''
''Yeah it is okay Sof.'' Brittany reassures turning to look at the little girl.
''No it is not okay.'' Sofia tells them as she continues frowning, she turns to her grandparents and pouts. ''I know you don't like our family, but I love them!'' She exclaims her voice getting pitchy as tears fill her eyes.
''Gracias.'' Santana grumbles as she glares at her parents, she turns her daughter in her lap and pulls her against her chest rubbing her back. ''Calm down mi corazón.''
''You can't talk to us like that Sofia Lopez, we are your grandparents!'' Maribel exclaims as she stands up, Brittany swiftly stands up placing her son in Yolanda's lap and glares at the woman as she slides in front of Santana and Sofia to shield them.
''Be wise and don't come near them.'' She warns her voice turning dark not noticing Santana and Sofia both look up in surprise the second they hear her voice, Naya and Heather both jump up knowing that voice don't mean good and immediately slide over to Brittany with Nick to calm her down.
''B she is not worth it.'' Nick murmurs.
''Yeah babe, calm down.'' Naya continues wrapping her arms around her waist.
Heather slides in front of her to break her glaring contest with Maribel and cups her cheek. ''Don't Cuz.'' She whispers softly.
Sofia sniffles wiping away her tears and slides off of her mami's lap, she walks over to Brittany wrapping her little arms around her legs and tilts her head up to look at her. ''Britty?'' She asks softly.
Brittany sighs softly immediately calming down as she hears Sofia calling her name and easily picks her up, she kisses her head as she cuddles into her and feels Santana sliding beside her with Liam in her arms.
''Mami, papi please leave my house.'' Santana tells them as she rubs Liam's back feeling the boy tremble knowing he is scared because her mom raised her voice.
''You can't kick us out! We are your parents!'' Emilio exclaims glaring at his daughter.
''No!'' Sofia screams making everyone jump and look at her in shock, she turns to her Abuela and Abuelo as they look at her and sniffles. ''Family make me happy.'' She points at everyone standing in front of the couch knowing they jumped up the second she screamed and sniffles again. ''Mi LA familia makes me happy, you only make me sad!''
Santana gulps thickly taking her daughter out of Brittany's arms as she breaks down and shushes her softly feeling her heart break at her little sobs, she looks up at her parents feeling tears burn in her eyes and shakes her head. ''Leave now.''
''No we are here to celebrate our granddaughters birthday!'' Maribel yells angrily, Sofia sniffles turning to look at her and shakes her head.
''You are like mi second mom.'' She tells them sniffling. ''You don't love me, you just love showing others that you are good people.''
Santana freezes in shock never having heard her daughter say that and bites her lip seeing the sadness but also anger clearly written on her face, Sofia looks up at her mami and kisses her cheek. ''Mi mami loves me, Britty and Li love me, mi LA familia all love me and spend time with me when I ask! You only come here because it's my birthday, you don't call, mami and I always call. I am seven, I am little but I know who loves me and who don't.''
''Sofia Lopez.'' Maribel warns, Santana clears her throat and shakes her head.
''You heard her, leave now.'' She tells them as she pulls her daughter in a tight hug, she kisses the top of her head feeling tears soak her shirt and shakes her head. ''I have to take care of her now.'' She turns to the boys in the room and sighs. ''Boys?''
''On it.'' Puck murmurs as he stands up with George and Mychal, Santana thanks them softly and turns on her heels walking into the kitchen with her daughter. She walks out into the backyard and sits down on the steps of the patio with her in her lap as she burst out into tears, she places her lips on her head tears filling her own eyes and gulps thickly.
''It's okay mi corazón, please calm down.'' She murmurs softly, she turns her head as she hears the door open and smiles sadly as Brittany looks at her carrying a crying Liam knowing the yelling triggered him. She scoots over silently telling her to join them and sighs sadly as she hears both kids cry softly the second Brittany sits down beside her, she reaches out placing her hand on Liam's back and sees Brittany softly running her free hand through her daughters hair. ''It's okay sweeties, this won't happen again.'' She promises softly.
Sofia sniffles slowly pulling back still enjoying the her mami's loving embrace and turns to look at Brittany. ''Sorry Britty.'' She whispers sadly, Brittany turns to look at her and shakes her head.
''You have nothing to be sorry for princess.'' She replies softly, she pulls Santana closer wrapping her arm around her waist and places her hand on Sofia's back running her thumb over the small of her back. ''Sadly we can't wish for our family bonded by blood but you do get to choose who you want in your life and who you don't want, I know they hurt you sweetheart but you have your amazing mami and a great group of aunts, uncles and your Abuela and Abuelo Lopez who love to celebrate your special day with you.''
''And I have you and Li.'' Sofia murmurs slowly cheering up, Brittany nods her head in agreement and chuckles.
''You ain't getting rid of us that easily sweetheart, your mami and you are stuck with us.''
Liam nods his head in agreement slowly feeling himself calm down and giggles. ''Forever Sof.'' He agrees with a cute smile.
''I don't know what you are thinking mija, but I think that sounds pretty amazing right?'' Santana asks with a loving smile as she feels her daughter cheer up again, Sofia nods her head in agreement and giggles.
''Really amazing mami.'' She agrees with a cute grin, she tilts her head as she hears music coming from inside and smiles brightly as she hears her Tia Nay singing. ''Is that Tia Nay?''
''Sounds like it.'' Brittany murmurs chuckling, she stands up after kissing the top of her sons head and holds out her hand. ''Let's find out.'' She helps Santana stand up smiling as she places Sofia down and places her son down as he wiggles in her arms, she follows them inside smiling as they giggle happily and squeezes Santana's hand softly as she feels her grab her own.

Naya laughs dancing over to Brittany after ruffling the kids hairs with a wink and holds up the second microphone of the karaoke machine with a smirk. ''Sing with me B.''
''Yeah mommy sing!'' Liam cheers giggling as Sofia and their family immediately join in, Brittany grumbles turning to Santana pleading her to say something and shakes her head as she chuckles.

Santana laughs as she sees them both looking at each other with challenging glares and clears her throat. ''As much as I like the best friend challenge going on here.'' She starts, she turns to Brittany and bites her lip. ''Can we talk for a minute?'' She asks nervously.
Brittany swallows thickly hearing the seriousness in her voice and slowly nods her head. ''Yeah sure.'' she turns to their friends and smiles slightly. ''Be right back.'' She tells them as Santana walks upstairs after excusing herself, she follows Santana upstairs watching her walk into her bedroom and follows her inside closing the door behind her. ''What the hell did I do?'' She asks softly nervousness making her voice waver.
Santana looks up in confusion and smiles sheepishly as she sees the nervousness in her eyes. ''Shit that sounded quite serious right?''
''Damn right it did.'' Brittany exclaims running a hand through her hair, Santana laughs softly quickly standing up and walks over to her wrapping her arms around her waist with a sheepish smile.
''Shit sorry Britt-Britt, it's nothing bad.'' She pauses and smiles nervously. ''Well I hope it's nothing bad.''
Brittany relaxes slightly leaning back against the door and slowly wraps her own arms around Santana's shoulders locking her fingers behind her neck. ''What is it San?'' She asks softly.
''Well.'' Santana starts softly, she keeps her pinned against the door and nervously bites her lip. ''Today showed me just how bad I will be with hiding my feelings for you and I am pretty damn sure everyone downstairs already know.'' She murmurs softly, she runs her thumb over the small of her back and looks up gazing into bright blue eyes. ''I would like to tell our kids if you are okay with that too.''
Brittany tilts her head gazing into nervous brown orbs and smiles lovingly. ''Of course I am okay with that San.'' She plays with the small hairs on the back of her neck and chuckles softly. ''But I think we will have to answer their questions as soon as everyone leaves, Li already asked me why we hold hands so often.''
Santana chuckles softly and nods her head. ''Yeah Sof did too and I think they are even more curious after what happened while we ate cake.'' She bites her lip and smiles slightly. ''Sof will love it tho, she adores you and always ask when you and Li are coming over.''
''Same goes for Li, whenever he hears that I have to work he knows you will be there and wants to come too.''
''So tell them tonight?'' Santana asks softly, Brittany nods her head and smiles lovingly.
