The next morning.
''Mommy!'' Brittany smiles brightly crouching down as Liam runs out of the house as soon as she saw her sliding out of the car and pulls him into a bear hug.
''Hey my sweet boy.'' She whispers against his temple. ''Happy birthday and Merry Christmas baby.''
''I am six now!'' Liam cheers as he pulls back with a grin holding up six fingers, he turns his head smiling brightly as Santana walks up and jumps up giggling as she easily catches him. ''Sanny!''
''Hey Kiddo, happy birthday and Merry Christmas!'' Santana breaths out kissing his head, she smiles lovingly as Sofia rushes out and crouches down with him in her arms smiling as her girlfriend just leans back against her side and leans over her to kiss her daughters head. ''Hola mija, merry Christmas.''
''Merry Christmas mami, Merry Christmas Britty.''
''Merry Christmas Princess.''
''Where are my favorite little ones?''
''Puck!''
Brittany chuckles slowly standing up as both kids pull out of their arms to tackle Puck in a hug and grabs Santana's hand to pull her with her, she laughs stumbling back as Heather and Naya immediately tackle them in a hug and just shakes her head hugging them tightly. ''Hey girls, Merry Christmas.''
''Merry Christmas Cuz.'' Heather murmurs against her forehead, she kisses Santana's cheek and winks. ''Merry Christmas San.''
Santana chuckles and kisses her cheek. ''Merry Christmas HeMo.''
Four hours later.
After everyone greeted each other and sat down for dinner, Brittany and Santana slipped out of the house to pick up the cake they ordered for Liam at the same bakery they picked Sofia's cake at and returned back to the house.
''Li cake or gifts?'' Brittany asks after they all relaxed on the couch watching a Christmas movie.
''Cake!'' She laughs picking him up the second she hears his cheer and leads him into the kitchen where she left the rest of the group, she places her hand on Sofia's back as she feels her hand grab her jeans.
''Mommy can I blow my candles out with Sof?''
''If you want to.'' Brittany murmurs against the top of his head as she places him down on one of the chairs, she picks Sofia up placing her beside him as he nods his head with a happy grin and smiles lovingly as he gasps loudly the second he sees his two layered paw patrol cake with a huge chase head on top.
''Whoa.'' He breaths out with wide eyes. ''Mommy.'' He whispers his voice wavering.
Brittany hums leaning down to kiss his head and taps his chest softly. ''All of this is for you my sweet boy.'' She whispers. ''It's your day.'' She gulps thickly as he just sniffles and locks eyes with Heather, she smiles sadly as she just nods her head all of them knowing that he is a bit overwhelmed with everything because it's the first time they finally managed to celebrate his birthday properly.
She picks him up as he just looks up at her with a soft sniffle and kisses his head as he hides his face against her shoulder. ''From now on, your birthdays will always be celebrated like this.'' She promises softly, she just tightens her hold around his waist as he thanks her softly and shakes her head. ''I love you baby boy.''
''I love you too mommy, can Sanny cut the cake with us?''
Brittany bites her lip as tear filled blue orbs lock on her own as she freezes the second she heard his question and smiles slightly. ''Ask her yourself Li.'' She places him back down locking eyes with Heather as she hears Liam repeat his question this time directed at Santana and bites her lip as she sees nothing but happiness in her cousins eyes.
She turns to Santana as she hears her stumble over her words and reaches out grabbing her hand. ''Want to join us love?'' She tugs her in front of her as she just mutely nods her head at loss for words and smiles as their family starts singing happy birthday, she takes the knife Yolanda holds out for her not noticing Mychal and Quinn snapping pictures from two different angles and places it on the cake feeling two little hands cover her own.
She swaps the position of her hand making sure to safely place Li's and Sofia's hands under her own and smiles as she feels Santana's warm hand cover her own the four of them carefully cutting the cake in equal slices.
She steps back as Puck and George step forward to pass the plates out and keeps her free arm curled around Santana's waist, she smiles lovingly as both kids just cuddle on the chair both happily eating their cake and laughs softly as she hears the little sounds of enjoyment leaving them. ''Well the cake is loved.''
''It's amazing.'' Yolanda breaths out. ''Where did you order? Might spare myself some time and order there next time too.''
''The same bakery where I always order Sof's cake.'' Santana replies before Brittany can. ''B here just made their year and offered to model for their next advertisement.''
''You did?'' Puck asks in amusement. ''Will you dress as a cake?''
''Just shut up Noah.'' Brittany grumbles as everyone laughs. ''I have no idea what they have planned but I will do whatever, they will also cater New Year for us so.'' She turns to Yolanda and winks. ''Keep your butt out of the kitchen Ma.''
''Seriously?'' Yolanda raises an eyebrow as Brittany just hums and turns to her kids. ''Why does the youngest adoptive blonde does things like this and you all sit back and eat?''
''Thanks B.'' The Rivera siblings grumble as Brittany and Heather snicker, Naya just slaps the back of Heather's neck as she hears her laugh and turns to her mami with an innocent grin shaking her head as she hears her brothers reply before she can say something.
''Because we know you love cooking mami and we love to enjoy.'' Mychal tells her shrugging.
''Oh you just ff'ed that up.'' Brittany breaths out wincing as Yolanda glares at Mychal, she shakes her head as Heather quickly walks over covering her mouth to silence her laughter and nudges the two kids. ''Gifts to save Tio Mych's butt?''
Santana giggles as she hears a slap before the kids can answer and quickly pulls their chair back as they giggle loudly. ''Save Tio Mych.'' She murmurs ruffling their hairs, she chuckles as they immediately slide off of the chair each grabbing one of his hands and turns to Naya as they pull him out of the kitchen. ''Boy just doesn't notice he has to reword shit huh?''
''Nope but he receives the brunt.'' Nickayla breaths out laughing. ''Saves me and Nay for an ass kicking.''
''Cons of being the middle child.'' Naya agrees laughing as she watches her parents, sister, Heather, Quinn and Puck follow the kids and Mychal. ''Stay back for a few.'' She murmurs reaching out to grab Brittany's arm before she can follow them, she turns to Santana and smiles nervously. ''Distract them for a bit?''
Santana chuckles immediately knowing what she is planning and nods her head. ''I will.''
Brittany closes the door right after Santana walked out of the kitchen and turns to Naya. ''What's up?''
Naya bites her lip fiddling with the velvet box in the hidden pocket of her dress and takes it out, she holds her closed fist out for Brittany feeling her open palm grazing her fingers and gulps thickly. ''I know I normally have to ask other people but Heather and I both only want your opinion on things, hell Heath only listens to you when it comes to important things in her life.''
''Nay.'' Brittany murmurs as soon as she feels the small box in her hands. ''You had my blessing far before the both of you started dating.'' She chuckles as she looks up at her in surprise and just tugs on the hand still placed in her own to wrap her up in a hug. ''Both sides of mine and Heath's family are fucked Nay but the day she started telling me about you and hearing the clear happiness in her voice, made me wish that the both of you would take the leap and see where the strong bond the both of you have would lead you.''
''Sure I had some say on how things started but I just opened both of your eyes that the feelings you had were answered.'' She pulls out of the hug gently placing the box back in Naya's hand and winks. ''I have never seen or heard Heath this happy Nay and I am loving every single moment of it, of course you can ask her and I can assure you that she will scream her answer or cry depending on how you are planning it.''
''Well.'' Naya breaths out with a nervous chuckle. ''You are included in my plan.'' She bites her lip as Brittany just tilts her head with an eyebrow raised and rubs the back of her neck. ''I want to do it during gift exchange after we gave Li his birthday gifts and I want to do it in the form of a song sang by the both of us.''
''Which one?''
''You will know it the second the instrumental plays.'' Naya murmurs. ''You in?''
''Hell yes I am.'' Brittany breaths out with a grin, she kisses her cheek and winks. ''Let's go exchange gifts and make sure you end the night perfectly with your fiance, Nay-Nay.'' She wraps an arm around her shoulder leading her out of the kitchen hearing her soft chuckle and looks up as she hears her son's squeal.
''Mommy look!'' He points at the Paw Patrol racing track and all extras and smiles brightly. ''I got these from our family!''
''He couldn't wait.'' Yolanda tells her with a sheepish grin.
Brittany just chuckles crouching down in front of her son and kisses his head. ''Did you say thank you?'' She smiles as he nods his head and mentions her hand to Naya. ''You forgot Tia Nay though, I had to kidnap her for a bit.''
She stands back up chuckling as he immediately tackles Naya in a hug and walks over to the couch plopping down beside Santana and Sofia, she wraps her arm around Santana's waist as she immediately leans into her side just nodding her head as she softly asks if she is okay and kisses Sofia's head as she reclines back against her.
''You want to give Li your present next mija?'' Santana asks softly as she watches Liam squeal as soon as he unwrapped the remote control car he received from Quinn and Puck, she smiles as she nods her head immediately sliding off of her lap with the gift bag she handed her and smiles lovingly as she places it in front of Liam after kissing his cheek.
''Whoa a chase bicycle helmet.'' Liam breaths out with wide eyes. ''Thank you Sof!'' He squeaks out leaning forward to hug her with a big grin.
''They are so adorable together.'' Yolanda whispers as they all watch the kids hug each other tightly, Brittany nods her head in agreement watching her girlfriend stand up to give Li his gift and bites her lip as she places a big box in front of him.
''This one is from me and your mommy, Li.'' Santana tells the little boy softly as she crouches down in front of him.
''Santa also slipped his gift inside.'' Brittany adds as she walks over to them. ''The smaller gift in there is for the both of you.'' She informs them knowing Santana also added a smaller gift for Liam into one of Sofia's gifts during her birthday.
She leans back against the couch she just sat in pulling Santana with her and covers San's ears as soon as he rips the wrapping paper off, she laughs as she feels warm hands cover her own ears and glances up shooting Heather a wink as she just smirks.
She turns back to the kids as soon as she feels her hands leave her ears and chuckles as she sees Liam just looking at them with his jaw dropped. ''A bike?!'' He asks in excitement. ''Mommy, Sanny!'' He squeaks looking at the big box again, he looks back up his bottom lip quivering and shakes his head. ''Much!''
''Oh no Bud.'' Santana breaths out leaning forward to scoop him in her arms. ''This is not too much Li.'' She reassures him softly. ''This is your birthday and we are all happy that you are here to celebrate it with all of us.''
Brittany nods her head in agreement curling one arm around her girlfriend and son as she leans back in her side and wraps the other around Sofia as she joins the hug, she kisses Liam's head and kisses Sofia's cheek. ''Sanny is right baby.'' She murmurs. ''And now you can ride your bike with Sof while I go jogging and Sanny might join us.''
''Hold up…''
''Will you Sanny?''
''Si mami, please join!''
Brittany laughs as both kids cut Santana's protest off and smirks as their family snickers. ''You heard them San, you will join us.'' She laughs as she grumbles softly and ruffles her sons hairs. ''Open the box baby, Santa left a gift inside for you and for Sof.''
''Sof come help me.'' Liam breaths out immediately pulling Sofia back over to the bike, Brittany watches them slowly open it watching Quinn lift her camera to snap pictures again and tilts her head as they take the envelope they placed on the saddle out.
''What is this?'' Sofia asks in confusion looking at the envelope covered with Disney characters.
''Let's find out.'' Brittany breaths out as she slides closer with Santana, she takes the envelope from Liam as he holds it out and slowly opens it.
''Oh wow, Santa sure knows what we need.'' Santana breaths out with a grin after she peaked into the envelope acting like she is just as surprised.
''What is it?!'' Both kids squeak out grinning as they jump in their laps, Sofia in Brittany's and Liam in Santana's.
Brittany grunts softly tickling Sofia as she bounces in her lap and chuckles as she giggles loudly, she takes the four tickets out of the envelope and holds them out for them. ''Try reading them.''
''Dis..Land'' Liam frowns tilting his head and looks up at his mommy. ''Disney?''
''Disneyland!'' Sofia gasps out as she takes a look at the tickets. ''We are going to Disneyland?!'' She squeals out giggling as she hears Liam squeaks just as loudly.
Santana laughs as both kids manage to tackle her and Brittany down in excitement and nods her head. ''We are.'' She confirms.
''We will visit Mickey and his friends next week.'' Brittany breaths out grunting as both kids dive on top of her, she laughs as they start rambling and shakes her head. ''Whoa tone it down a bit!''
Santana just laughs as they continue bouncing on Brittany's abs and reaches out to tug her daughter into her own arms, she kisses her head as joyful giggles slowly turn into sniffles knowing they are both overwhelmed and sits back against the couch gently running her hand down Sofia's back. ''One week filled with Disney, food and fun.'' She murmurs. ''Think we can get a picture with everyone during that week?''
Brittany just smiles lovingly as Liam hides his face against her neck feeling tears hit her skin and kisses his head. ''We sure can right Li?'' She smiles as he just nods his head sniffling softly and leans into Santana's side kissing Sofia's head as she hears her also sniffle. ''Merry Christmas little loves.'' She murmurs softly.
''Merry Christmas mami and Britty, te amo.''
''Love you.'' Liam just agrees.
''We love you too.'' Santana whispers against their heads, she looks up at the group as they relax slowly and smiles slightly. ''I think they won't stay awake much longer.''
''Not after that excitement.'' Quinn agrees chuckling. ''Disneyland really?''
''Yeah we thought we could use a week long break and just enjoy some us time after everything that went down the past few months.'' Santana tells them with a shrug.
''San and I didn't really have the chance to just enjoy some time alone or with the kids either.'' Brittany adds. ''So we decided to just take a short vacation, Disney offers kids for just kids too allowing the parents to relax for a few hours so we can all relax and enjoy it together.''
''Well they will love that.'' Heather tells them with a grin. ''And I am sure the both of you will love it too.''
''We will all love it.'' Brittany agrees with a loving grin, she adjusts her hold on Liam reaching under the Christmas tree and kisses his head knowing her just drifted off. ''Both kids are out cold but.'' She leans forward holding a gift bag out for each of them. ''These are from us.''
''Ah perfect, a renewed picture from my favorite little ones for the fireplace.'' Yolanda breaths out with a grin right after she took the picture frame out of the gift bag she received. ''And my favorite wine, god I love you girls.''
Brittany chuckles leaning forward to hug her right after Yolanda hugged Santana and smiles. ''We love you too Ma.''
Santana slowly stands up after gently taking Liam from Brittany and kisses her temple. ''I will tug them in.'' She whispers softly as she sees the tears in Heather's eyes after she unwrapped her gift. ''Be right back.'' She repeats louder for everyone to hear.
''Holy fuck Britt.'' Heather chokes out looking up from the tickets she received. ''Are you serious?'' She asks softly as Naya and Nickayla just looks up with wide eyes.
''I am.'' Brittany murmurs. ''And thanks to San, Queen B also made sure the three of you have V.I.P seats and a spot on stage right next to her for you Heath.''
''Queen B?!'' Mychal asks with wide eyes, Heather just shakes her head slowly standing up after handing Mychal the tickets so everyone can look at them and walks around the table.
''You are so fucking crazy, that must have cost a fortune!'' She chokes out as she tackles Brittany in a hug.
''I am not gonna tell you what I paid for them.'' Brittany murmurs as she hugs her tightly. ''See this as a thank you and a Christmas gift, I know you loved dancing with her Heath so I thought I could make it possible once again.''
''You have nothing to thank us for.'' Heather breaths out frowning as she pulls back after kissing her cheek.
''Not?'' Brittany asks with an eyebrow raised, she glances at the stairs making sure her girlfriend is still upstairs and turns back to Heather, Naya and Nickayla. ''So I don't have to thank the three of you for making sure I met the love of my life even without me being open to start dating again?''
She turns to Heather and raises an eyebrow. ''That you made sure my boy was safe even though you also wanted to be there for me?'' She turns to Naya and Nick as they join them and raises an eyebrow. ''That you threw your career life around to make sure I found my way into modeling.'' She continues locking eyes with Nickayla. ''And.''
She turns to Naya and bites her lip. ''That you risked your career and spot on glee to fly out and spend three months in New York with me to make sure I left that hell?''
''That is wha..''
''I know that, that is what family if for.'' Brittany breaths out effectively cutting Naya's reply off. ''But that doesn't mean that it has to be ignored, I can't thank you all enough for what you did for me and for Li, so please just enjoy this concert and don't kick my ass for it.''
''We are all just glad it's over now B.'' George breaths out as he leans over to kiss her head. ''It's time for you to enjoy your life like you had to as a teen, it's time to let loose and enjoy it.''
''It sure is and the added bonus of the love of your life joining our crazy mix is just a huge plus.'' Mychal agrees. ''We all love to see you smile day in and day out now B, we love to know that you are happy.''
Naya stands up hearing Santana descend the stairs and jogs over to tackle her in a hug. ''Thank you Snixx.''
Santana just laughs as everyone stands up to join the hug and hugs her and Nickayla tightly. ''Don't mention it, merry Christmas Fam.''
