Hi everyone, thank you again for your patience. Well, here we are. We are now entering the final battle of this story, and it is sure to be a doozy. Despite how short this story has been compared to most of my others, I am still rather pleased with how it turned out. Thank you all for your support and praise throughout this journey, I couldn't have made it this far without any of you. So let me thank you from the bottom of my heart.
With all that out of the way, let's get this chapter started.
Owari of Light
The Enchanted Forest was deathly silent. Since the four spirits had bonded with the Turtles, who had left for Ahtohallan with Elsa to confront the Shredder, it had appeared the once magical place had now become almost completely barren and absent of life, save for the plant life. But even then, it felt too quiet.
However, that silence came to an end with the sounds of marching from the northern most area of the forest. Several trees were cleared away to make room for a small army that marched through the forest. This army consisted of over two hundred total ninja-constructs made from black ice, or rather frozen metal. At the front of this army was none other than Tiger Claw with Fishface, Bebop, Rocksteady, and Stockman-Fly by his side.
"Um… this seems rather overkill, don't you think?" Fishface asked.
"Boss man want us to burn down forest while he take down turtles and magic queen." Rocksteady said. "Is make perfect sense. Take down enemies' allies."
"Yeah hommie, you didn't have any problems with us trying to burn down Arendelle before." Bebop told Fishface.
"That was because we were trying to nab the Ice Queen and make her into one of us." Fishface said. "We had a purpose. So what's the purpose now? We destroy this whole forest, then what? At least before, Shredder had a goal in mind: kill Splinter and the Turtles so we can rule the criminal underworld. But now…. It's just aimless destruction. I'm not going soft or anything, I'm still a killer. But this whole thing just feels kinda… empty."
Even Stockman-Fly seemed to be in agreement. "I had hoped that once he had undergone whatever tranzzzformation he had gone through in Ahtohallan… he'd get a clearer head. But… maybe it'zzz made him even worzzze than when he wazzz a mutated monzzzter."
Tiger Claw said nothing, but he could see the logic in his comrade's words. Before being mutated, Shredder was obsessed with the destruction of Splinter and the Hamato Clan, up to the point he allied with the Kraang. But he at least understood the reasoning behind it. Hamato Yoshi owed him a blood debt, and a blood debt can only be repaid with blood. In regard to the Kraang, they could not overpower the alien force so they would work with them as they tried to take over the world, before moving to cut off the head of the snake to seize the Kraang's resources and take the world for themselves. But after the mess with the Triceratons, their master's body crippled, and losing their entire criminal empire in New York and Japan, it seemed Oroku Saki had nothing, but revenge left on his mind, up to the point where it all went to his head when he mutated himself. But now… with his more recent transformation… he had appeared to have lost all physical humanity that remained. Now he was just a harbinger of death with no real goal in mind other than death itself. Though he would still destroy this forest and everyone in it, because he too had a blood feud with the Hamato Clan in their allies that must be repaid, he was no longer sure if he could serve this thing that took the image of his master.
Tiger Claw came to a sudden stop, raising his hand to halt the army's advance before sniffing the air. "They are here… all around us."
Before any of the villains could make a move, they heard the sounds of rumbling coming from the slope of a hill on the far left. They turned around in time to see an avalanche of boulders heading in their direction.
"Heads up dogs!" Bebop warned as he, Tiger Claw, Fishface, Stockman-Fly, and Rocksteady tried to move out of the way as best as they could. However, the army of black-ice ninjas were not so lucky as about half of their forces were crushed underneath the rocks that rolled their way, though the other half was able to avoid it as most of them, including Tiger Claw and Fishface leapt into the trees above with Stockman-Fly flying with them; while Rocksteady either avoided the boulders or smashed them with his raw-strength while Bebop relied on his own agility.
After the rocks stopped, the villains tried to get themselves re-organized as they looked up the hill to see a herd of reindeer on top, all being led by Sven with Olaf standing on the antlers of one reindeer next to him.
"Can I?" Olaf asked Sven.
"Go for it, man." The mutant reindeer smirked.
"CHARGE!" Olaf shouted as all the reindeer charged down the hill toward the enemy army. But they weren't the only ones.
From the other side, hidden with the trees, Karai and Anna turned to the rest of their forces consisting mostly of Northuldra with Arendellian soldiers, led by Yelena and Mattias alongside Honeymaren and Ryder, with April, Casey, Kristoff, Shinigami, Slash, Leatherhead, Rockwell, Pigeon Pete, Mondo Gecko, and Metalhead present as well.
"Alright, this is it. Hit them hard and hit them fast!" Karai told them.
"Elsa and the Turtles can handle the Shredder, the rest of us are going to stand our ground here!" Anna added. "We'll defend this forest with everything we have!"
"We're with you. Till the end." April nodded.
"This is our home. We're not about to surrender it without a fight." Yelena stated, wielding her staff.
"For once, we're in total agreement." Mattias said as he drew his sword and shield.
"Let's kick some magic-evil ass!" Casey exclaimed. "GOONGALA!" He was the first to charge forward.
"Attack!" Kristoff yelled as they all charged from the forest just as the reindeer heard came down from the hill; catching the villains by surprise as they were caught in a pincer attack. Just like that, the entire Enchanted Forest lit up with the sounds of war as the final battle had begun.
Ahtohallan
Elsa and the spiritually empowered Turtles arrived at the shores of the corrupted and transformed Ahtohallan. The five of them gazed up directly black ice Japanese monastery that looked like something out of a horror movie.
"Okay… I gotta admit, that's actually kinda cool." Mikey commented. "No pun intended."
"So, he builds his own ice fortress in a place that virtually nobody else could get to." Raph summed up. "That sounds familiar."
Elsa breathed heavily as she felt more of her anger rise. Maybe he did this just to spite her, it would definitely be in-character for him. Her anger began to lower slightly as she felt a hand hold on to hers, looking to see Leo giving an assuring look helped to ease her slightly.
"Come on, let's not keep him waiting." Donnie said. However, just before they could start moving forward, Elsa felt an odd sensation. She turned toward her right, looking into a small cavern in the icy ground just outside the black ice fortress, where she could just barely see a faint white glow.
"Guys, wait a second." Elsa got their attention as she was the first to approach the hole, followed by the Turtles as they looked down to see the shining white light deeper inside.
"What is it?" Leo asked.
"I think there might be a part of Ahtohallan he hasn't touched yet." Elsa said.
"Okay, so what's down there? How's that gonna help us take him down?" Raph questioned.
"I don't think it's going to." Elsa replied, getting their attention. "Remember the reason we came here. We didn't come to the Enchanted Forest just to stop him; we came to free it and the people trapped inside."
"Grand Pabbie said we had three evils we had to defeat in order to free the forest." Leo recalled. "Deception, Hunger, and Hatred."
"We took down Hunger when we killed that evil Aeon possessing April, and I think we can all agree that the big guy up there represents Hatred." Mikey said, pointing toward the top of the fortress.
"That just leaves Deception, which we've yet to identify." Donnie said as he looked to Elsa. "You think the answer is down there?"
"I know it is." Elsa confirmed. "I can feel it. Ahtohallan holds all the answers about the past, and the answer to the Deception is down there."
"So, we'll solve this, then we'll take that freak down, right?" Raph asked.
"Right." Leo confirmed as he looked toward Elsa, both sharing a nod before they leapt down into the hole, followed by Raph, Mikey, and Donnie. All five of them slid down a slope of ice deeper into an icy cave before coming to a stop at what appeared to be their destination.
Though the walls around them were coated in the corrupted black ice that spread from their enemy's influence, a large ice wall laid in front of them that was still glowing a bright white light that seemed to be pushing the corruptive force back.
"This must be the last of Ahtohallan power… doing everything it can to push back the corrupted magic." Donnie theorized. "Not unlike a body's systems shielding themselves from infections."
"But if we open it, won't all this nasty black ice stuff spread inside?" Mikey asked with concern.
"I don't think we have a choice." Leo said.
"But once we take him down, all this stuff should go back to normal. Right?" Raph asked.
"I can't say." Elsa replied. "But… we have to do this. It's the only way to free this Forest and save Arendelle."
"Then let's do it." Leo stated.
Elsa placed her hand on the center of the wall first, channeling her own inner magic into it. As she did, she felt something flow directly into her as well. Her hair was blown away slightly, undoing her pony tail and letting it flow, with her clothes turned pure white, her shoes dissolving and her cape becoming somewhat transparent like snow. The more she channeled her magic into the door, the more it began to shift and change. Four symbols then appeared on the door, two on each side; the light and navy-blue ones on the right were the emblems of Wind and Water, while the pink and purple ones on the left were that of Fire and Earth.
In that instance, Leo placed his hand on the Wind symbol engraved on the door, with Mikey doing the same for Water, Raph for Fire, and Donnie for Earth. Using the power of the Spirits that dwelled inside them, they channeled their own power into the door as the sigils glowed their respective colors, mixing with the white of Elsa's own power. The door then faded away, blasting a gust of wind and snow into the chamber that they could now enter.
The Turtles and Elsa tried to wave away the snow that was in their faces before it rose from the ground, taking the form of multiple humanoid figures, much to their surprise. A smile soon formed on Elsa's face as she recognized each and every one of them.
"Amazing…" Leo looked in awe.
"What's going on?" Raph questioned.
"These… these are the past… my past… our past…" Elsa smiled warmly at many of the happy memories that appeared around them.
"Your magic… must have given the water of Ahtohallan form so that it could show us these moments in the past…" Donnie assumed.
"Water has memories dudes. Olaf said so." Mikey pointed out.
They could see memories of Elsa's childhood with Anna, their times growing up and happier times with their parents. There were also moments of Elsa becoming official queen and making amends with Anna to save Arendelle the first time. There was the construction of Elsa's ice palace in the mountains with Marshmallow. They even saw the first time she and her friends met the Turtles, Master Splinter, Karai, April, Casey, and all the good times they spent together.
"Hi I'm Olaf. And I like warm hugs."
"I love you Olaf."
Elsa couldn't help but get emotional at the memory of her and Anna in their childhood, something even the Turtles smiled warmly at.
"Awe, you two were such cute kids." Mikey gushed.
"Thank you." Elsa replied.
"Here I stand…! In the light of day…!"
This caused Elsa to cringe slightly with a smile at the memory of her 'independence' from Arendelle when her powers were first revealed.
"Hey, you do have a lovely singing voice." Leo said somewhat flirtatiously, causing Elsa to playfully nudge him.
"Like a chicken with the face of a monkey…!" The memory of the Duke of Weselton danced around them.
"Dance somewhere else Weaseltown." Raph told him, causing most of the group to laugh.
"Prince Hans of the Southern Isles." That particularly memory Raph literally broke apart with a punch to the face of Hans' memory.
"Yeah, nobody cares about that guy anymore." Donnie pointed out, causing most of them to laugh slightly.
"You are who you choose to be, not what others make you."
All five of them turned to the memory of Master Splinter and Elsa, which caused a large number of different feelings to swell up inside them. There was obviously grief and sorrow, but also love and happiness. Though Hamato Yoshi may be gone, his teachings would live on so long as they don't forget them. The two brothers and their sister-in-arms shared sad yet happy smiles with each other at the memory. That is until, an unfamiliar memory appeared before them.
"I love you."
"I need to tell you about my past, and where I'm from."
"I'm listening."
"Mother… Father…" Elsa looked towards it, before their attention was taken to a memory of Agnarr and Iduna when they were younger, barley in their teenage years. Agnarr was sitting beneath a tree while Iduna hung upside down to greet him with a smile
"Iduna!"
"What are you reading, your majesty?"
"Some new Danish author."
"Aw, your parents were cute as kids too." Mikey told Elsa, who smiled warmly at the memory.
"I would give anything for you all to meet them." She said sincerely.
"Hey, over here." Raph drew their attention to the memory of Iduna helping an unconscious Agnarr onto a wagon and placing a blanket over herself.
"That must be when she rescued him." Donnie assumed.
"Must be." Elsa agreed.
"King Runeard, I'm sorry. I don't understand…" That got all their attention.
"Runeard." Leo recognized the name, looking toward Elsa before they all looked to the memory of Elsa's grandfather talking with one of his attendants.
"We bring Arendelle's full guard."
"But they have given us no reason not to trust them."
"The Northuldra follow magic. Which means we can never trust them."
"Wait… what?" Mikey questioned.
"Grandfather…?" Elsa was more than a little surprised herself.
"Magic makes people feel too powerful. Too entitled. It makes them think they can defy the will of a king."
Leo glared at the memory. "Some leader you are. That's just your fear talking."
"Fear is what can't be trusted." Elsa said in agreement, loosing what little respect she had for her grandfather she had left.
"He was afraid of the Northuldra?" Donnie wondered as they witnessed the memory of Runeard walking away, before walking into the wall like a ghost. "We did learn he was obsessed with the forest… I think this might be the Deception."
Before they could follow however… Raph glanced behind the group and saw something very concerning. "Hey guys… we got a problem."
They all turned around to see the black ice from outside spreading throughout the cavern; all along the walls, ceiling, and floor. As it spread across the ground, it made contact with each of the memories, causing them to fall part instantly.
"The corruption is spreading. We knew this would happen." Elsa said.
"Can we stop it?" Mikey asked.
"I don't think we can, at least not right now." Donnie replied.
"So, what do we do?" Raph questioned.
"We get our answer." Leo responded as he was the first to turn around back in the direction that they saw the memory of Runeard disappear into.
Elsa waved her hand, creating an opening that allowed the group of five to traverse deeper into Ahtohallan, with the corrupted black ice spreading further in the chamber they were in previously, almost completely coating it in the toxic magic. Fortunately, the five of them were quick to catch up with the memory as they heard Runeard's voice again.
"You see, the dam will weaken their lands, so they will have to turn to me."
"Oh, you scumbag." Raph scowled as they continued deeper.
However, the deeper they went, the more they heard another voice. It was Iduna's voice singing a song Elsa recognized. "Lay the answers and a path for you. Dive down deep into her sound. But not too far or you'll be drowned."
They came to a stop beneath a large pit with the dark abyss laying before them. Even then, they could still hear Runeard's voice, as well as see the reflected images of Northuldra and Arendellian soldiers marching together in the icy walls around the pit.
"They will come in celebration. And then, we will know their size and strength."
"They were planning an ambush." Leo deduced. "A trap."
"Wow, your grandpa was a real jerk. No offense, Elsa." Mikey told her.
"None taken." She was in complete agreement.
"Guys, corrupted magic right behind us!" Donnie alerted as the black ice had already thoroughly engulfed the chamber behind them and spread into the tunnel they had just entered.
"As you've welcomed us, we welcome you. Our neighbors, our friends."
"We got to jump it." Elsa said, however Leo quickly noticed that her own breath was visible, as was his and all his brothers. But, with the corrupted magic spreading behind them, they had no choice but to take a literal leap and jump down into the pit below.
The five of them landed in a new and strange area. It was black all around them, but not the same kind of corrupted black from the black ice of their enemy's power. This was more a peaceful aura, like a quiet night. But it wasn't all dark, there were solidified trees of dark purple water all around them. Elsa felt her sides around her as she could feel a chill down her spine, something Leo noticed.
"Elsa… are you…?" Leo gasped upon seeing Elsa's hands were beginning to frost over. Acting quickly, Leo reached out with his own frosted hands to grab her right hand just as Raph grabbed her left. The second they made contact, the fire around Raph began to glow brighter. While the whirlwind aura around Leo began to move more quickly, and even Elsa felt more vibrant upon contact with the two, much warmer.
"Leo… Raph… I…" Elsa wasn't quite sure what to say at first.
"Dudes… my drops are starting to freeze!" Mikey stated as the water that had been dripping off his body was starting to freeze over and solidify. With Donnie's stone skin frosting over as well.
"Quick, grab our hands!" Elsa told them. Donnie quickly grabbed Leo's hand, while Mikey did the same for Raph. Mikey's water became liquid again as the frost melted off Donnie's stone form.
"What just happened?" Raph questioned. "Were we all freezing? I'm supposed to be fire! Fire can't freeze!"
"The song…" Elsa said in soft realization.
"What?" Leo questioned.
"My mother… sang a song of Ahtohallan when Anna and I were young." Elsa explained. "And… I think I heard it just now too. 'In her waters, deep and true, lay the answers and a path for you. Dive down deep into her sound, but not too far or you'll be drowned.'"
"So… if we kept going too far… we would have frozen over?" Donnie asked.
"I think so." Elsa confirmed.
"But we're fine now." Mikey said, looking at his body to see there was no more ice on him.
"Because we're all together." Leo seemed to have the answer. "Air, Fire, Water, and Earth; the four elements together help to create and preserve life. The Spirits are giving us the power to keep each other safe. But it's not just them, we work together to keep each other from drowning. So long as we stay together like this, we'll be fine."
Elsa smiled at him. "You're right. We're all in this together. So, let's finish it together."
Donnie, Raph, and Mikey nodded in agreement as the five of them walked forward, still holding each other's hands. However, even with how deep they fell, the corrupted black ice had begun to spread down into the pit and showed no signs of stopping, almost as if it were following them on purpose.
The group soon saw another memory, this one of the guard of Arendelle and Northuldra celebrating and laughing together as they rode reindeer in a circle around them. But that wasn't the memory they were looking for.
"King Runeard, the dam isn't strengthening our waters. It's hurting our forest. It's cutting off the North…"
"Let's not discuss this here. Let's… meet on the fjord, have some tea. Find a solution."
"That must be the Northuldra leader." Donnie assumed.
"Forar, that's what Yelena said his name was." Leo confirmed. "Guess he figured out what the dam was doing to his home."
"Dudes… more black ice!" Mikey pointed straight upward to see the corruptive black ice spreading from the ceiling down the 'trees' of solidified water and into the area.
"We need to hurry. We have to find out what happened." Elsa stated.
As they looked around, Raph spotted what they were looking for. "Over there! I see him!" They saw Forar kneeling on the ground with a cup of tea in his hand, and a blissful smile on his face. "But where's Runeard?"
Almost on que, the memory of Runeard walked right past them. They looked in shock to see him draw his sword and raise it to bring it down on Forar, ending him right there.
"No!" Elsa reached out to try and stop it, but Leo held her back.
"Elsa, it's a memory! It already happened!" He told her as the black ice spread more and more throughout the underground chamber, until it had engulfed everything. All the memories around them disintegrated once the corruptive force made contact, and all became quiet. Like they were standing in a tomb.
The only thing still alive were the five of them, being protected by their combined powers through physical contact.
"That's it… all of Ahtohallan has been corrupted." Donnie said with a grimace in his voice, all five of them hanging down their heads in sorrow, not just at the corruption, but what they learned.
"Well… at least we have our answers, right?" Mikey hoped to find some kind of bright side.
"That's right, we did. This was the Deception." Leo confirmed. "The dam wasn't a gift of peace…"
"It was god damn set up!" Raph stated, making no attempt to hide his anger. "He was trying to force the Northuldra into his kingdom like a dictator! Just like when the Kraang tried to turn our world into another Dimension X!"
"That's why the Spirits were angered." Elsa said before a serious expression formed on her face. "Our grandfather started this mess, now we're going to fix it." She briefly let go of Raph's hand to throw out her own and cast a bolt of her magic straight up, which flew out of Arendelle, making its way back to the Enchanted Forest before grabbing Raph's hand again.
"What did you just do?" Raph questioned.
"I sent Anna a message. She'll find out what happened." Elsa answered. "I'm sure she and all our friends will know what to do once they see it."
"But will it save Ahtohallan?" Mikey asked.
"No." Elsa shook her head. "It may free the forest… but I think there's only one way to save Ahtohallan, and we all know what it is."
Before anybody else could say anything, they heard the sounds of ice and metal shifting above them. Glancing up to the ceiling, they saw an opening from before a staircase of frozen metal began to form and descend towards the floor, coming to a stop just in front of them. They said nothing, making no moves before glancing up toward the opening where nobody entered.
"Guess he's waiting for us to come to him." Leo stated.
"He knows were here." Donnie said. "He probably figured it out when we opened that door."
"So, let's go pay our respects." Raph said.
"You guys know it's a trap, right?" Mikey told them.
"Of course, it is." Elsa confirmed. "But I don't really care."
"Yeah, me neither." Mikey said, his voice being completely serious and straight forward here.
"Leo, you know we're not going to be able to just throw him in jail like last time, right?" Raph reminded his older brother.
"I know. Not with what he's become." Leo confirmed. "So, we're all on the same page, right?"
They all nodded as they glanced up the stairs, before Elsa spoke next. "This time… he dies."
The Shredder sat in his throne room, made entirely out of black ice with the eerie blood red glow being the only source of light in this chamber. He remained in a meditative state, his eyes closed shut. Until he heard the sounds of footsteps approaching from the opening he made near the entrance. His eyes slowly peeled open, their blood red glow catching the tops of the heads of his five enemies as they made their way up the stairs he crafted and into his chambers.
"I knew you would come." He said as they stepped up fully into the throne room. "Even with the death of Hamato Yoshi, his legacy lives so long as his students and friends do."
The transformed Shredder rose to step off his throne, his black frozen metal body walking to the center of the chamber as his five enemies began to slowly walk around and surround them, each one baring a glare of their own.
"I can sense them. The spirits of the Enchanted Forest. So, they've given you power… power to match my own." The Shredder began. "They summoned me here because they felt if I could gain insight into my own folly, I would seek atonement. But I have no interest in such."
"You killed your adoptive father, destroyed the home you were raised in, killed the woman you loved, brainwashed the girl you raised, teamed up with genocidal alien monsters, and now murdered your brother, your best friend." Leo summed up. "Yeah, I think you're well past redemption at this point."
"The four elements of nature; fire, water, earth, and air, together create life." The Shredder continued. "That is the Fifth Spirit of this forest. It is the very one that granted you your power." He looked at Elsa directly. "However, there must also be an equal and opposite force. Yin and yang. Where there is a force for life, there must be one to represent the opposite. Before, I was merely the result of mutagen mixed with your blood, creating a grotesque abomination. However, that combined with my acceptance of my own inner darkness has allowed me to become something greater. I am that opposite force. Just as you five together represent Life… I am Death."
"You're a monster. A devil." Elsa told him. "That's all you'll ever be."
"I know." The Shredder confirmed. "And because of that, I know what I must do. I will reduce the Enchanted Forest to a lifeless wasteland, before moving onto Arendelle, taking away every single life that dwells there. And, once that is done, I shall return to my world and do the same, regardless of their affiliation of Hamato Yoshi or not. I am the Spirit of Death, and so I will bring death to all who cross me."
"Sorry 'Reaper-Shredder', but we're not gonna let you do that." Mike said, coming up with his new nickname as he and his brothers prepared for battle. Long tendrils of water hung from Mikey's arms before he spun them like nunchucks. Raph's fists were set ablaze as the fire around him burned brighter. Donnie held out his hand as a staff of solid stone formed in his palm, with stone axe-blades forming at each end. Leo hovered in the air slightly as a whirlwind blew around him, drawing his katanas with wind surging around the blades as well. Elsa held out her own hands as her own magic surged brightly as well.
"I know you will try and stop me." The Shredder said as he clenched his fists, causing long curved blades of black ice to emerge from his arms and he took his own combat stance. "But you will simply be the first to die."
Raph roared with fury as Leo went on the attack first, slicing his wind-katanas at Shredder, which he parried with his blades, quickly swinging them to slice away Raph's fireballs, while also parrying Donnie's staff, ducking under Mikey's water-whip swing to kick him back before crossing his gauntlets to shield himself from Elsa's ice-blast.
Enchanted Forest
The war continued onward as the combined forces of the Mutanimals, Hamato allies, Northuldra, and Arendellian soldiers threw everything they had against the army black ice ninjas, colliding sword and staff against the frozen metal bodies of the acritical enemies. Even the herd of reindeer provided aid by stampeding through the enemy forces. However, the black ice ninjas were far capable of holding their own as well. Their bodies were practically made of frozen metal, so it has hard to deal any physical damage, especially since they felt no physical pain.
Three Northuldra were backed into a corner as six black ice ninjas approached them, but they were quickly brought down by the charging Leatherhead who raised his fists to crush two of them. He grabbed the third and used its body as a weapon to crush the remaining three before lifting its head to bite down onto it, destroying it in one chomp. He then rallied the three Northuldra and rejoined the fight.
Karai ran at incredible speeds, coming to the aid of two Arendellian soldiers, drawing her sword to decapitate four black ice ninjas that had them stuck. She paid them a quick nod, which they returned before rejoining the fight.
Metalhead fired his laser hands at several approaching enemies. Though their frozen metal bodies made it difficult to bring down, it was still enough to bring them down all the same. Four appeared behind him to try and ambush him, only for them to be lifted into the air by Rockwell's psychic powers and then thrown away into the trees.
"Cowabunga!" Mondo Gecko skated around a group of five black ice ninjas, drawing their attention and leading them right into a clearing where a small group of reindeer stampeded through them, shattering them from the attack.
"I feel so alive! Keep going my new friends!" Olaf cheered the reindeer as they turned around for another pass.
Pigeon Pete flew directly at Stockman-Fly in the air, tackling him to the ground. However, the insect-scientist quickly recovered with an angry buzz before flying back up to spit a series of acidic loogies at Pete, who flew away to avoid most of them with Stockman-Fly flying in pursuit.
Slash, after using his morning star to crush the head of one enemy on the ground, soon came face-to-face with Tiger Claw. The two mutants glared at each other before charging forward. Slash lashed out with his mace, but Tiger Claw leapt above the strike to deal a kick to Slash's face and knock him back. Tiger Claw drew his machete and slashed at the large Turtle, but Slash blocked it with his mace before delivering a headbutt to knock Tiger Claw down, but he quickly recovered and leapt back to gain some distance before Slash ran after him.
Sven and Rocksteady both charged at each other with their respective yells, clashing antlers with horn before grappling with each other, pressing their respective strength against the other. All while Kristoff and Casey hacked their hatchet and hockey-stick respectively at Bebop, who danced around each strike before getting some distance to blast a series of lasers from his palm strikes and pelvic thrusts, which they tried to avoid as Casey skated at him with Kristoff right behind.
Honeymaren used her staff to parry the sword strike from one black ice ninja, before swerving around to knock it down with a kick to its back. While it was down, she thrusted her staff to the back of its head to shatter it, destroying the enemy. However, she was quickly kicked in her side and was smacked into a tree, looking with a glare at the approaching Fishface.
"Oh mama, you are still quite the feisty little forest flower." Fishface said flirtatiously.
"Ugh, get away from me!" Honeymaren pushed him away with disgust.
"What's the matter senora? Perhaps I'm not being forward enough?" He continued to flirt, only to get smacked into the head by a staff-strike from Ryder.
"Get away from my sister, fishboy!" He exclaimed before coming to Honeymaren's side.
Fishface snarled before drawing his butterfly knives. "You're out of your league, boy."
Shinigami suddenly dropped in front of the two siblings, holding a pair of severed black ice ninja heads in her hands, dropping them on the ground with a daring smirk. "Then why don't' I help even the odds, little fishy?" She, Honeymaren, and Ryder then charged at Fishface.
Anna used her sword to block and parry a black ice ninja's attack, before quickly ducking to slice off its right arm and then went for the head. She didn't have time to rest however as three more appeared before her. But before they could strike, a familiar tessen flew out to decapitate all three of them in one strike, before telekinetically returning to April.
"Thanks April." Anna smiled
"Don't mention it." April nodded. However, yet another black ice ninja appeared behind her to deliver a kick to April's back, sending her tumbling into Anna and knocking them both down a hill and into a nearby cavern.
Mattias noticed this as he cut down one frozen metal ninja. "Princess Anna!" He ran to them as fast as he could, with a nearby Yelena doing the same.
Both redheads groaned slightly as they tried to pick themselves up from the cave they had landed in, but soon found that very same black ice ninja, along with a new one to join in, above them. They raised their blades to finish them; but Mattias slid down into the cave to slam his shield into the back of the one in the right while Yelena struck her staff into the side of the one on the left. Mattias pinned his enemy to the wall with his shield before slicing at the back of tis head with his sword to destroy it just as Yelena grabbed the sword arm of the enemy she was facing and used it to impale itself, destroying it as well.
"Are you two alright?" Yelena offered a hand to April as Mattias did the same for Anna.
"Yeah… trust me, I've been through worse." April said before feeling her temples slightly.
"April…?" Anna asked with concern.
"What is it?" Mattias asked as well.
"There's something coming…" April could sense it. "But… it's not an enemy. I… I think it's from Elsa!"
Before either of them could ask what she meant by that, they saw a faint cyan light coming from the cavern entrance they all just entered, which was revealed to be the same bolt of magic Elsa had cast from Ahtohallan. It flew around them briefly as the voices of Runeard and Forar echoed from the magic before it took shape.
"You see the dam will weaken their lands, so they will have to turn to me."
"King Runeard, the dam is hurting the forest!"
All four of them gasped at the sudden appearance of the ice-sculpture of King Runeard raising his sword, about to strike down the unsuspecting Forar from behind, who was merely drinking tea.
"Wha… what is this?!" Mattias questioned.
Anna gasped slightly. "Elsa… she and the guys… they must have found it. The truth about the past."
"What is it?" April asked.
"That's my grandfather…" Anna replied.
"King Runeard." Mattias confirmed, while Yelena recognized her predecessor and former leader of the Northuldra.
"Forar." She said before narrowing her eyes. "With the King of Arendelle raising a sword at him from behind!" She exclaimed with a glare at the shocked Mattias.
Anna and April both came to the same realization. "The dam wasn't a gift of peace. It was a trick." The princess spoke with realization of hurt and disgust at her grandfather's actions.
"That's the Deception." April said.
"You!" Yelena aimed her staff at the shocked and stupefied Mattias. "You did this! We welcomed your people into our home, and you trick and attack us?!"
"No… I… I didn't…" Mattias was at a loss for words.
"Yelena, wait!" April said as she and Anna came in-between them before the psychic girl turned toward the old soldier. "Lieutenant Mattias… I need to hear it from you." April placed her hand on his forehead. "Did you know about this? Were you aware of King Runeard's plan?"
"No…" Mattias spoke honestly as April read his thoughts and answer. "He told us we were friends, and that the dam would help the Northuldra. I was not aware of any of this."
April had what she needed as she turned to Yelena. "He's telling the truth. I can sense it. Runeard deceived everyone, even his own people."
Yelena, at this point, understood how April's powers worked. So she came to accept that Mattias was ignorant of this betrayal, but that did not ease the pain and emotions she felt; something that Mattias himself felt as he looked toward the snow statue of Runeard with a sorrowful expression before it turned into a glare of anger.
"What do we have to do?" He questioned immediately.
"We have to break the dam." Anna said in a sad tone of voice. "That, along with my sister and the Turtles defeating the Shredder should free the forest."
"But that'll flood Arendelle… it'll be destroyed…!" Though Mattias was onboard with setting things right, he didn't like the idea of destroying his own kingdom.
"Which was why the Spirits forced all the people out when this whole mess started." April said. "Buildings and homes can be rebuilt, so long as the people live."
"How would you even do it?" Yelena questioned. "As you said, your sister and strongest companions have gone to confront the Shredder, so they can't do the deed."
"I think I can." April said, looking at her hands. "If I focus my powers on a specific spot… maybe I can cause a chain reaction that should spilt the dam… and let the water pressure handle the rest."
"Are you sure there is no other way?" Mattias asked.
Anna looked him in the eye with a serious yet pleading expression. "Master Splinter died to bring us to this point… so that our friends can uncover the truth. We can't let his sacrifice go to waste."
It took a moment for Mattias to get his thoughts together. In just a few minutes, he had discovered that the king he once served and respected had betrayed not only the people he considered to be friends and neighbors, but his own countrymen as well. The current queen and princess and their allies, new and strange people that he had called his friends, were risking everything to defeat a ruthless enemy and set things right. There was no way he was going to let them do it alone. If destroying Arendelle's buildings meant the survival of his people, so be it.
"How can I help?"
"You can help by continuing the fight." April told him. "There's still a war going on. We can handle this."
"Understood." Mattias nodded as all three looked towards Yelena, who seemed rather uncertain.
Anna then quickly took her hand. "Yelena… I know my grandfather did you wrong… but please let the rest of us set things right. Please…" She begged. "Before we lose anyone else…"
Yelena looked into Anna's eyes and could tell she was being nothing short of sincere. Even April and Mattias had the same expressions. In just the short time she had come to know Elsa, Anna, the Turtles, and their friends, she had felt a strong connection with them. She welcomed them into her people's home and they had done everything in their power to help and defend it, asking for absolutely nothing in return. Now they were facing a ruthless enemy that threatened to destroy everything, and there was only one way to stop him and free her people, as well as reciprocate the trust and respect the Turtles and their friends put in her.
The leader and elder of the Northuldra gave a deep sigh before offering her hand to the Arendellian lieutenant. He didn't hesitate for a second to grasp her hand and firmly shake it.
"We'll do everything we can to buy you time." Yelena stated.
"Thank you." Anna nodded as the quartet made their way out of the cave. They could see and hear the battle just ahead of them before Mattias turned around to point his sword in the opposite direction.
"The dam is that way, just past this foliage. You can't miss it." Mattias told them.
"Got it." April said, she and Anna shared knowing expressions before running in that direction.
Mattias then looked away from Yelena slightly with an ashamed expression. "Yelena I… what my king did I…"
"We can sort that out later, lieutenant." She replied. "Right now, our people need us."
"Right." Mattias nodded before they both ran to rejoin the fight.
Tiger Claw roared as he leapt to a tree branch to fire his dual laser pistols at Slash, forcing him to find cover. However, from that vantage point, the mutant assassin could see April and Anna running away from the battlefield. With an eager growl, he used his jetpack to fly in the same direction.
"Hey! Get back here!" Slash exclaimed, trying to run after him, only to find his path blocked by a group of black ice ninjas, forcing him to defend himself.
Karai also noticed Tiger Claw jetpacking away. Her eyes briefly turned into snake-slits to get a better idea of where Tiger Claw was going, which was in the same direction she saw two of her friends running off into.
Kristof and Casey tried to come at Bebop from both sides, but Bebop quickly performed a hand-stance to shoot out both his feet and kick them both back while Sven struggled in his 'wrestling match' against Rocksteady.
"What's the matter boys? Bebop got too much swag for ya? Ye-hee!" Bebop gloated, but this left him vulnerable for Karai rush him, slicing at his sought, causing him to squeal in pain before delivering a flying double-kick with enough force that sent him flying into Rocksteady, knocking him off balance and allowing Sven to get the advantage as he ducked under Rocksteady's arms and heave him over his head to smash Rocksteady into the ground behind him.
"April and Anna have left the battle!" Karai told Kristoff, Casey, and Sven. "They're heading toward the dam and Tiger Claw is on their trail!"
This left Kristoff especially worried. "I have to go help them!"
"Then go." He heard Sven say, causing him to turn around in surprise.
"But Sven…"
"Don't worry, we can handle this. You go help your future fiancé and our friend." Sven said.
"Yeah, you just make sure our girls get back home, okay man?" Even Casey added with a sincere smile, one Kristoff returned.
"Thanks guys."
"I'm coming too." Karai said. "It's Tiger Claw, you're going to need all the help you can get."
"Yeah, I know." Kristoff nodded. "Let's go." He quickly followed Karai as Sven and Casey turned around to face the recovering Bebop and Rocksteady.
"Now, where were we?" Sven said challengingly as he cracked his knuckles.
"Oh right, we were kicking your guys' teeth in." Casey smirked, wielding his hockey stick firmly. "Eat this!" He went on the attack along with Sven.
April and Anna both ran as fast as they could to get to the dam. They came before a rocky ledge and quickly climbed their way up. April was the first to make it to the top with her own ninja training, but quickly offered a hand to Anna to help her up as well. They had made it to their destination.
The entrance of the crest that bridged the two opposite ends of the fjord was right in front of them. On the right side was all the water the dam was holding back, while on the left was the deep chasm with the bottom almost completely invisible due to the fog. Before the pair of redheads could get any closer however, Tiger Claw landed in front of them to block their path.
"Where do you two think you're going? Leaving the battlefield so soon?"
"Get out of the way, Tiger Claw!" Anna stated, drawing her sword while April did the same for her tanto and tessen. "I'm just trying to save my home!"
"By destroying it?" Tiger Claw questioned, looking backwards slightly. "I know where this fjord leads to, and this dam is the only thing of interest in the area. You wouldn't come here unless you aim to destroy it, flooding your kingdom in the process."
"Arendelle's not a place, it's a people." Anna said. "We'll rebuild if we have to. This is your last warning: get out of our way."
Tiger Claw smirked evilly. "Honestly… I could care less for your precious Arendelle. But if it means that much to you… then I shall destroy the dam myself."
"Why?" April glared, knowing he wouldn't do it out of the goodness of his heart.
"Just so I can see the sorrowful faces of all the little people as their home is destroyed." Tiger Claw's smirk only grew. "Right before it turns into terror as I deliver the severed head of their princess… and butcher them all one-by-one!"
Anna looked in genuine shock and horror before it turned into a glare as she and April stood their ground. "You're every bit as short-sighted and obsessed as Shredder!" April exclaimed. "And just as blood thirsty!"
"Do not forget, little O'Neil. You and your friend are responsible for trapping me inside the Kraathatrogon, forcing me to cross hellish landscapes and alien worlds to return! I am owed a blood debt as well. And a blood debt can only be repaid with blood!"
"My thoughts exactly!"
Karai suddenly appeared from the tree line on the far right to deliver a surprise kick across Tiger Claw's face, and as she landed on her hands, she sprung her feet into his face to send him tumbling into Kristoff who delivered a hook of his own to send him tumbling towards the cliff.
"Kristoff! Karai!" Anna was more than a little happy to see them.
"We heard what you were trying to do." Kristoff said as he and Karai joined their friends. "It's crazy, but I trust you. If you think destroying this dam is the right thing to do, then I'll help."
Anna smiled emotionally at her lover. "Thank you."
"I'm going to use my powers to destabilize it." April explained. "But I need time to focus."
"Do what you need to do, we'll keep Tiger Claw off your back." Karai said with a nod, which April returned as she ran toward the dam and to the central point of the crest. Once she reached that spot, April kneeled and pressed her hands on the ground before closing her eyes and tried to focus as much of her powers as possible.
Tiger Claw pulled himself up and soon found himself facing the trio of Anna, Kristoff, and Karai with their respective weapons. Tiger Claw growled with anticipation as he made a gesture with his claws to come to him.
Kristoff was the first to attack, swinging both his hatchets at him. But Tiger Claw parried his wrists against those of Kristoff to keep the weapons from reaching, before grabbing his wrists and kicking him away. Anna rushed him, swinging her sword, but Tiger Claw grabbed her by the wrists as well to deliver a knee to her gut and knock her down. Karai tried to leap at him from behind, but Tiger Claw lashed back with his claws.
Ahtohallan
An entire wave of black ice spikes shot out to completely obliterate the eastern wall of the top of the palace as the final battle between the five heroes and the Shredder continued to rage. Leo soared with a tornado around his body, straight at Shredder with his dual katanas, slicing at him, but the Shredder blocked all the blade strikes as Raph came in from behind to deal a series of firey-kicks to Shredder's back, knocking him toward Donnie, who swung his stone axe right into his face with enough force to send him flying straight up. Mikey then threw out a water whip to ensnare and bind Shredder before slamming him down onto the ground, where Elsa leapt up to throw a series of ice-spikes at him.
However, the Shredder merely roared as he unleashed a wave of black snow that not only blew back Elsa and her attack, but also knocked the other Turtles back, while also blasting away the remainder of the roof of the palace, causing the debris to fall off into the ocean, exposing the open sky above them as the heroes attempted to recover, but the Shredder was already back on his feet.
"Your newfound powers have not changed your failed tactics." He told them. "You still cling to your mortality, afraid of embracing your inner power as I have! I have become one with death itself!" He brought his fist down to send a line of black ice spikes straight toward Elsa, but Leo moved with a whirlwind at his feet to grab her bridal style and slide out of the way.
"He's right." Leo said as he set Elsa down. "We're still fighting the same way. We can't beat him like that."
Closing his eyes briefly, focusing on the wind that blew around him, Leo could feel the wind and air that encompassed everything around him. With his borrowed power from Gale, he reached out to the air above Shredder, which began to swirl rapidly until a twister formed in the sky and rabidly descended onto the Shredder.
Raph, Donnie, Mikey, and even Elsa looked in amazement at what Leo had just done; but he wasn't even done yet. He then actually leapt into the tornado as the transformed Shredder was pulled into the tornado.
As Leo moved with the wind, it felt as if he had become one with the wind, wielding both his katanas as the wind around his blades became sharper before moving straight toward the Shredder, slicing at him from all angles with such grace and speed, that it seemed like he was being attacked from everywhere at once. Of course, Shredder was far from helpless. He shot out both his arms to blast condensed strands of black snow to fill the tornado with shrapnel of frozen metal, cutting at Leo and adding weight to the wind that forced the tornado to stop and fall apart before Leo himself fell to the ground. Shredder landed in front of him, and quickly raised his claws to bring them down for a fatal strike…
Only for a blast of ice to encompass his entire right half, halting his strike as Elsa threw both her arms out to create a blizzard that pushed Shredder back, closer towards the edge. That is until spikes formed on his feet to keep himself from moving any further.
"Come on!" Raph stated as he ran up to Shredder next. "Follow Leo's lead! Use your powers!" Raph began to focus and concentrate his anger as well as his flames into his fists and feet, so much so that the flames glowed brightly before Raph shot at Shredder like a rocket, landing a fiery punch across his face as he flew past him. Raph then stopped in mid-air, using the flames from his hands and feet to propel himself before blasting at Shredder again, spinning his body to generate more flames around him like a flaming corkscrew that Shredder was unable to defend himself against, striking hard to shatter his black ice blades and send him rolling toward the center of the make-shift arena.
As Shredder attempted to stand, Mikey moved in next; his arms becoming more liquid and water-like as his whips extended and he snapped them at Shredder, who regenerated his bladed gauntlets to slice at the approaching Mikey. However, the youngest Turtle 'melted' his lower body so-to-speak, turning it into a puddle of water that allowed Mikey to duck under the slice and slide past Shredder. He reformed his body right behind Shredder and spun the water around his lower body like a whirlpool to generate enough force that when he shot at Shredder and landed a punch, with his water-whip condensed around his fist, it snapped Shredder's head back slightly to knock him down before Mikey slid the way and allowed Donnie to move in next.
Shredder got back on his feet as Donnie ran around him in circles, generating sand and gravel with each pass before Donnie held out his staff to telekinetically control all the gravel before he threw out his staff to send it at Shredder, knocking him back slightly before Donnie moved in again, the blades on his axe-bladed staff shining for some reason. Shredder attempted to defend himself with a row of black ice spikes, but when Donnie swung is weapon, it sliced right through the spikes, much to Shredder's shock before Donnie sliced at Shredder himself to knock him back, where he noticed a large gash across his chest.
"There's more to earth than just stone and sand." Donnie told him. "Let's see how your fancy frozen metal can stand against something as hard and sharp as diamond!" He rushed Shredder again, along with his brothers. However, the Shredder generated a large pillar of frozen metal from underneath him to propel himself into the air.
But before he got too high, Elsa flew at him with her ice-wings to meet him. She threw out her hands to create a storm of ice-blades and throw them at Shredder, but he batted them away with slices of his own blades. This however, allowed Elsa to come in close and grab him by the face and chest as she tried to spread her own ice across his body, attempting to freeze him from the inside out.
However, the more she reached in with her powers, the more she felt that his body wasn't coated in frozen metal armor. His entire body was already completely frozen. No… it wasn't that. His body was made entirely out of frozen metal. There wasn't one ounce of flesh or even the tiniest drop of blood to freeze. But… she did feel something. Her right hand having been placed above the crack in his chest that had formed where Splinter had struck him repeatedly in their last battle, she felt a strong and intensely negative form of energy all clustered in that spot. The same spot where one's biological heart would normally be.
The second her magic touched that spot, there was a bright blood-red glow coming from inside his chest, which only seemed to spur Shredder into moving as the black ice around his body shot out spikes of frozen metal to free himself from the ice binding him. He then smacked Elsa off him to send her falling off the pillar of frozen metal they were standing on before thrusting out his hand to shoot a black ice spike towards her as she fell, intent on impaling her heart.
*SLASH!*
Leo had flown in as fast as he could, a powerful razor-wind generated around his katana with enough force to slice the frozen metal spike that would have ended Elsa's life, allowing her to land relatively safely before Shredder was struck in the side by a raging surge of water that ascend up the mound, with Mikey's upper body visible as he waved his hands to throw out a pair of water whips that snapped at Shredder's side to send him falling back down; where he was greeted by flaming attacks from Raph and more of Donnie's diamond-tipped axe strikes.
"He has a heart!" Elsa shouted to all of them.
"What?! Are you seriously trying to give a 'true love can thaw a frozen heart' thing?! Right now?!" Raph shouted back, the distraction leaving him open for Shredder to rush him with a slash. Raph tried to protect himself with an 'armor' of flame generating around his body, but he was too slow to block the attack as the force of it sent Raph tumbling across the ground. As Donnie tried to thrust a strike at Shredder's neck, Mikey came down with a swirling water burst from his hand; but the Shredder limbed underneath the strike to allow Mikey's attack to accidentally strike Donnie, shocking Mikey and leaving him vulnerable for Shredder to grab him by the face and throw him away.
"No, I mean literally!" Elsa tried to explain as she shot her hands to the ground to shoot a large cluster of ice-spikes around Shredder, trapping him in a makeshift prison.
"He has a physical heart inside his body!" She said as the Turtle-brothers all regrouped around him. "It's the source of power, the source of his hate, the only thing keeping him alive! If we destroy it, he dies too!"
Leo noticed the large crack on Shredder's armored chest, as well as the red glow behind it, as he tried to break his way out of the improvised cage. "Concentrate all your attacks on that one spot on his chest. It'll break through his armor, expose his heart or core or whatever he has, and destroy it! We're ending this right here!"
Shredder gave a roar, with a final and powerful slice from his extended black ice blades, he shattered the icy prison before turning to face the charging Turtles and Elsa. He responded with a charge and yell of his own to meet them in the center as well.
Back at the dam, Anna swung her sword at Tiger Claw, who blocked it with his own blade before delivering a palm-thrust to knock her back. He then swerved to avoid a hatchet slice from Kristoff, leaping back as Kristoff threw one of his hatchets at Tiger Claw, who batted it away with his own blade before drawing his laser gun to blast him in the shoulder, knocking him down.
Karai then rushed Tiger Claw, swinging her blade to slice the laser gun apart before trusting her short sword straight at him, but Tiger Claw parried it with the flat of his larger blade before spinning behind Karai to drive an elbow into her back. However, right as she was knocked down, Karai transformed into her mutant serpent form and lunged at Tiger Claw. She wrapped her arms around both of his to pull them apart as she snapped at him with her fangs.
But Tiger Claw anticipated this and opened his own mouth to bite down on Karai's serpent face with strong enough force to tear off a few layers of skin, causing Karai back away in pain before he grabbed her by the throat and pinned her to the to the ground with one claw. Though the torn skin would heal with her snake's regeneration abilities, she could not defend herself against the blade that Tiger Claw rose to decapitate her. But just as he brought it down, Anna came in with her sword to block it before swinging at Tiger Claw to knock him back onto the crest of the dam.
Anna tried to rush Tiger Claw again, but he blocked most of her strikes with ease before grabbing both her hands with one of his own and began to squeeze with enough pressure that it forced her to let go of her sword before he hoisted her up and threw her into the recovering Karai to knock them both down.
Tiger Claw then turned around to see April still in her meditative state. He drew his gun, ready to shoot her, only to holler in pain as he felt a sharp wave of agony in his right shoulder. He reached behind to yank out the hatchet that was thrown into his back, before turning around with a growl to face Kristoff.
"Hey! Some warrior, shooting at someone that can't defend herself!" Kristoff yelled. "Come on! Fight like a man!" He challenged, raising his fists to fight him hand-to-hand.
Though he growled at the challenge, Tiger Claw also smirked with amusement. "Famous last words, boy." He put his machete away, along with his remaining gun as he cracked his knuckles.
Kristoff yelled as he charged Tiger Claw, throwing out a punch. But Tiger Claw easily dodged before driving an elbow into Kristoff's face to knock him back. Kristoff recovered and tried to throw another punch, but Tiger Claw caught that fist and dealt a kick to his chest, knocking him back further with Tiger Claw pressing the advantage with a punch to knock him closer to the ground.
However, Kristoff used his lowered position to his advantage to grab and tackle Tiger Claw around his chest, actually knocking him down before Kristoff landed a solid punch across Tiger Claw's face, followed by another. But when he came in with a third, Tiger Claw bit down into Kristoff's arm, causing him to yell and forcing him up, allowing Tiger Claw to throw an uppercut that knocked Kristoff into the air. Once he landed, Tiger Claw picked him up by the back of his shirt before throwing him into the wall.
"You have physical strength." Tiger Claw acknowledged. "But you are a no warrior, a brawler at best. Me?" He showed off his own claws. "I am the most feared assassin in my world!"
Kristoff then threw out a surprise attack in the form of a punch into Tiger Claw's gut, forcing him down slightly where Kristoff threw his head out in the form of a headbutt into Tiger Claw's nose, causing blood to splatter out as he recoiled, which Kristoff took advantage of by throwing a series of punches across his face, throwing out another fist to knock him to his knees.
"I'm no assassin like you." Kristoff spat out some blood. "But hang around with a bunch of ninjas, and you pick up a few things." He tried to throw out another punch, but Tiger Claw caught that fist and slashed at Kristoff's chest with his claws to knock him down.
As the fight continued, April began to focus more and more of her powers. Once she felt she accumulated enough, she began to concentrate it on the exact same spot where her hands were. The more she concentrated, the more pressure her powers put on the dam's surface. Up until the point where a large crack began to form.
Ahtohallan
The battle had become much more intense as Elsa and the Turtles pressed their attack against the Shredder. Now that they knew how to end this fight, and where to strike, they focused all their efforts into the literal chink in the enemy's armor. Of course, Shredder realized where they were aiming for and did everything, he could to keep his weak spot protected.
Leo and Raph came at him from both his sides, razor-wind katanas and fire fists shot at him respectively. Even as Shredder shot a cluster of black ice spikes from both sides, they leapt over the attack and lunged at him with their elemental-strikes. But Shredder's frozen metal claws extended to an insane length that not only blocked their attacks, but as he swung his blades, both Turtles were sliced and knocked down.
Elsa slid across the ground with an ever-extending patch of ice beneath her and a pair of ice-skates at her feet, an ice-katana in one hand as she shot closer to Shredder, who tried to slice at her with his claws, but she quickly created an ice-shield like that of Mattias' to block the strike and impale her katana into his cracked armor, pouring her magic into it and causing the crack to grow. However, Shredder quickly delivered a knee to her gut to knock her down before swinging his foot to not only kick her, but also cast a wave of black frozen shrapnel to send her rolling back. However, before the worst of it could hit her, a large rock shot up to shield her.
Donnie leapt from the rock, spinning his axe-bladed staff, both of its blades still diamond-tipped, and managed to score a successful slice at Shredder's cracked armor, breaking off the outer-most layer of his armored chest. This caused Shredder to act frantic before he lashed out with a kick, which Donnie tried to block with his staff, only for the attack to shatter Donnie's stone staff and leave him open for a series of rapid punches into Donnie's chest and finish him off with an extended claw lunge with enough force to send Donnie flying off the edge of the arena.
"Donnie!" Mikey exclaimed as he attacked Shredder next, his arms almost completely comprised of water as he spun the extended water whips around like his signature nunchucks, blasting at Shredder with a whirlpool from his lower body to snap his whips at Shredder, knocking him off balance and allowing Mikey to clasp his hands together and blast a condensed stream of water at Shredder's broken armor. The intense pressure from Mikey's water attack caused the armor to break and crack even more. But, Shredder was quick to recover by grabbing the water stream and quickly freezing it with his own powers, sending a trail of black ice to rapidly shoot toward Mikey. Fortunately, Mikey broke off the attack before it could spread to him, but Shredder used this as his opening to rush the youngest Turtle and deliver an uppercut to send him flying and falling off the edge like his brother with a scream.
"I'm done with you, you metal freak!" Raph called out as he rushed Shredder, flames shooting out from his feet to give him an extra boost of speed. However, Shredder anticipated this and extended his claws once again to slice at Raph. However, Raph managed to generate a set of his own curved blades from his arms, made entirely out of flames to slice through Shredder's own claws, engaging his enemy in brutal hand-to-hand combat. Raph landed a fiery punch and kick, making sure to aim directly for his weak spot. But following the third kick, Shredder grabbed Raph's foot and flipped him over, but Raph quickly stabilized himself and landed on his feet, grabbing and twisting both of Shredder's arms, where he leapt to deliver a spinning flaming-kick attack to Shredder's weakened chest armor in the form of another fiery-corkscrew. With him disoriented, Raph grabbed Shredder by the back of his head and forced him into the ground face-first. Raph then leapt into the air, giving him an extra boost with bursts of fire from his hands and feet, before falling, using flames from his hands to shoot himself down at an even faster rate and land both his feet hard onto Shredder's back, causing a large crack to form there as well.
Raph backed away slightly, with his enemy seemingly down to catch his breath. But that was not the case.
"Fool!"
Shredder quickly stood up and raised his claws to decapitate Raph from behind, but Leo, propelling himself with a tornado, quickly pushed his brother out of the way and allowing Elsa to strike at him with a large ice-broadsword almost fifteen feet long, which she telekinetically controlled. The weapon struck with sufficient force that it not only shattered itself, but almost completely destroyed what remained of Shredder's chest armor. Now there was only a thin layer of frozen metal that separated the outside from his glowing red core.
If one could look closely enough, one could see the core looked almost exactly like a biological heart… except this heart was no longer beating. As if it was a manifestation of Oroku Saki abandoning his metaphorical heart the moment he became the Shredder.
However, with it almost complexly exposed, Shredder grew desperate and attacked the remaining three with the most ferocity he could muster. He gunned for Raph first and delivered a strike to his chest before quickly swiping his foot to knock Raph off the edge as well, leaving him to face Leo and Elsa alone.
Shredder directed his focus on Leo, extending his black ice blades again to slice at the eldest Turtle, forcing Leo on the defensive with his own katanas. Even with the wind spinning around his blades to make them extra-sharp, as well as the tornado around his lower body to provide him an edge in speed, Shredder appeared just as fast as he shot at him, not even giving him an opening to create another tornado again. As Leo found himself backed towards the edge, Elsa tried to provide cover by rushing Shredder with a condensed blizzard in her hand. But Shredder quickly turned around and grabbed her by the wrist to blast the blizzard in another direction before heaving her up to smack her into Leo and send them both rolling across the ground.
Elsa quickly got up and tried to shoot a large blast of her magic at the charging Shredder, but he performed a similar counter to blast back a surge of black ice spikes, which seemed to push back against her own attack. However, Leo quickly came to her side to aim both his katanas forward and blast a horizontal tornado alongside Elsa's attack. Their combined strike was enough to push back and halt Shredder's attack. But he simply leapt above it and threw out his hands to shoot a hail of frozen shrapnel, forcing them back as Leo tried to create a condensed dome of air around them, making sure the air spun with such speed that it shredded the frozen shrapnel on contact. But as Shredder landed, he simply rushed through the air-dome. Though it did damage his armor, it wasn't enough to stop him from breaching it and delivering a powerful slice to knock them both down.
Both were tired, despite their respective powers, their physical bodies were beyond exhausted and gravely injured. Leo looked towards Elsa with uncertainty and fear, something she returned as well, both of them trying to silently communicate some form of assurance with their eyes.
Shredder noticed the way they looked at one another and recognized the expression. "Ah, I see. Love. A bond that is seemingly beautiful and yet… more agonizing than one could imagine. Especially when that love is forever lost."
As he readied himself to deliver the final blow, raising his right clawed arm… Donnie came in from behind. His own rocky-hand sharpened to diamond-tipped like his previous axe-staff to actually slice off Shredder's arm.
Strangely enough, he felt no physical pain from the loss of his arm. He then turned around to glare at Donnie, who quickly rushed to grab him, ducking underneath the slice from his left clawed arm. Donnie grabbed the right stub of Shredder's former limb and channeled his own powers to create a column of sand that shoot from the ground to ensnare and bind the stub of the severed limb, pinning Shredder on his right side as the sand extended on the ground to wrap around Shredder's right foot and keep it trapped.
Shredder tried to lash out with his left arm, only for a water whip to suddenly wrap around that and pull back. The perpetrator revealed to be Mikey, using both his arms to condense the water whip and keep Shredder's left arm trapped, while also spilling water out from his lower body to trap Shredder's left leg.
Raph then leapt up to grab Shredder by the head, wrapping his flaming legs around his chest while also condensing as much of his flames and heat into his palms to melt Shredder's frozen metal face.
The pair of Leo and Elsa tried to pick themselves up, seeing their brothers doing everything they can to hold the Shredder back. They saw his core was almost completely vulnerable, just a single yet powerful strike was enough to end this. And yet, their bodies still seemed weak and heavy, unable to stand up completely as they tried to support each other.
"Leonardo…"
"Elsa…"
The two glanced past the struggle to see the spiritual forms of Splinter and Iduna looking toward them with conviction, faith, assurance, and most importantly of all… love.
"You can do it." Iduna's spirit told them. "You're strong enough alone…"
"But strongest together." The spirit of Splinter said. "Fear nothing. Strike true."
Hearing their words, and looking toward each other, seemed enough to give them the strength to stand up and finish the fight. Leo picked up one of his downed katanas in his hand, with Elsa grabbing onto it with one hand of her own, making sure her hand held his. They focused their powers of wind and ice together into the blade, causing it to surge with cyan colored magic and a condensed whirlwind.
Shredder struggled with all his might to escape the bindings of Raph, Donnie, and Mikey. With one final roar, Shredder's body exploded with a powerful flurry of black ice spikes and frozen shrapnel that not only broke him free of his restraints; but blasted all three Turtles back that almost sent them rolling off the edge again.
But that one instant he took to recollect himself. That one single second his guard was let down. That was when he was open.
The combined yell of Leo and Elsa got his attention as they shot at him with breakneck speed, their combined powers giving them a boost that he couldn't defend against as they lunged their sword, breaking through the last layer of his armor and into his core.
*PIERCE!*
The blade shot right through, breaking out from the back of Shredder's armor as he gave one final yell.
Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo managed to pull themselves up to look in surprise, awe, and amazement at the sight of the blade running clean through Shredder.
Elsa and Leonardo both fell back slightly, looking almost in disbelief at what they had just done. But none appeared more shocked than Shredder himself. He glanced down to see that the blade was indeed running through him. He could feel his core had been pierced, already he felt his strength vanishing away, along with his power.
Shredder backed away slightly, looking to his hands as the frozen metal that had once made up his seemingly indestructible body was already beginning to crack and break apart. He looked forward to see Leonardo and Elsa being helped up by Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael. All five looked at him with expressions that seemed to mix anger, relief, and for some reason, sadness.
The glow in Shredder's red eyes was already starting to fade, as was the same glow in his chest. He knew this was it. He knew his life was coming to an end now. Yet, strangely, it felt good. It almost felt like there was a weight of led inside him that had been lifted, making him feel somewhat lighter inside. In all his hate-filled life, expressing nothing but resentment and fury to his enemies, he actually looked to them with respect and gave a small nod as his body cracked apart even more.
"Well fought…."
He fell to his knees, the second they made contact, they shattered along with his legs. The rest of his body soon followed as his chest, arms, and even head broke apart, as if his body was now made of the most fragile substance on Earth. When it was all set and done, all that was left in the middle of the pile of frozen metal fragments, beside the katana used to slay him, was the Kuro Kabuto, still made entirely out of black frozen metal, and not even the slightest bit damaged.
They almost couldn't believe it, even though they had just seen it with their own eyes. The five of them felt this day would never come, even though they also hoped for it. Their most ruthless and unforgiving enemy was defeated. For good.
Elsa fell to her knees, crying and laughing at the same time. So much emotion all flooded out at once as Leo kneeled to her, taking both her hands into his and looking into her eyes with just as much emotion.
"He's gone… right?" Elsa laughed and cried. "He's gone…?"
"He's gone…" Leo laughed and cried as well. "He's really gone."
They wasted no time in sharing a fierce and emotional kiss before wrapping their arms around each other in joy and relief. Raph, Mikey, and Donnie joined in as well, wrapping their arms around their brother and sister-in-arms as they returned the embrace back.
"He's gone dudes…" Mikey laughed and cried at the same time.
"Yeah… we did it…." Donnie also laughed cried.
Even Raph was in the same state, making no attempt to look tough or strong as he laughed and sobbed as well.
"It's over…."
As they embraced each other, what was left of the frozen metal fortress began to dissolve and break apart. With its master now gone, there was nothing left to maintain it. The source of the corruption had been expunged, as not only did the fortress begin to collapse, but Ahtohallan began to purge itself clean. Evident by the bright white glow that came from the deepest part of the frozen river, now free from the Shredder's grasp.
Enchanted Forest
The reindeer Olaf was riding on was brought down by a sword slash on its side, causing it and Olaf to fall to the ground. The little snowman looked in terror to see three black ice ninjas leap directly toward him. However, just as Olaf closed his eyes and looked away, the black ice ninjas fell apart.
Olaf's eyes slowly opened to look in confusion at the pile of black snow and ice in front of him. "What…?"
This was happening all over the battlefield. Slash brought his mace down onto one black ice ninja, only for it to break apart right before he made contact. He looked around in surprise to see every single enemy was suffering the same result, falling apart and shattering across the ground. He happened to glance toward Leatherhead, who looked just as astonished.
Mattias and Yelena both saw this as well, walking toward a pile of black snow and frozen metal to see that their enemy, and all other enemies around them had been destroyed. Which could only mean one thing.
"They did it…" Yelena said, sharing a glance with Mattias
Fishface found himself cornered by Shinigami, Ryder, and Honeymaren; but they were quickly distracted by the sudden end of the enemy army. Using this, Fishface quickly leapt toward a nearby river and dove into the water to retreat.
Bebop and Rocksteady attempted to do the same as they were surrounded by Sven, Casey, Rockwell, Metalhead, and several Northuldra and a couple Arendellian soldiers.
"Um… parley?" Bebop hoped.
"Yes… we can talk negotiations?" Rocksteady also hoped.
Almost in direct response to that, Stockman-Fly was brought down hard onto the ground, being knocked into unconsciousness by Pigeon Pete, who stood proudly over him.
"Sorry, not our style." Casey smirked toward the duo.
"But we will accept your surrender." Sven said.
Suddenly, there was a loud crashing sound that drew everyone's attention. Using this, Bebop quickly turned invisible while Rocksteady plowed his way through some of the heroes, knocking several of them down before running deeper into the forest.
"They're getting away!" Pigeon Pete said.
"No, forget them!" Sven told him as he turned in the direction of the loud noise. "That came from the dam!"
The Dam – One Minutes Prior
As April continued to concentrate with her powers, the crack below her growing, Kristoff did his best to defend her against Tiger Claw's ruthless onslaught. Though Kristoff put up quite a good fight as he grabbed Tiger Claw by the shoulders and delivered a headbutt to his face, Tiger Claw quickly recovered to block a punch from Kristoff and deliver a powerful uppercut to knock him into the air, where Tiger Claw grabbed him by the foot and slammed him face-first into the hard stone before throwing him toward the railing of the dam.
Kristoff hacked out some blood as his body looked more than a little worse for wear. His clothes were cut up, his right arm was bleeding where Tiger Claw bit him, his face was a bit swollen and bruised with a black eye, he even felt a few of his ribs were cracked. Tiger Claw then seized Kristoff by the throat with his right hand, pushing him almost off the railing with the fjord's chasm just over the edge.
Tiger Claw smirked eagerly. "You put up a good fight, boy." He showed his claws in his free hand. "I'll make sure your death is painless."
Suddenly, before he could make the fatal strike, Anna came in with a yell, raising her sword high to bring it down on the arm holding Kristoff, severing Tiger Claw's entire right arm at the elbow.
Tiger Claw screamed in agony as Anna pulled Kristoff out of the way. He looked toward her with a painful glare, seeing her holding out her sword and defending her injured lover. Before the injured Tiger Claw could make another move, Karai rushed him in her serpent-form and quickly transformed into her human appearance, using the momentum she gained from the rush to lash out a kick to Tiger Claw's face and send him screaming over the edge, plummeting into the chasm below until he was nowhere to be seen.
Karai breathed a huge sigh of relief, as did Kristoff as Anna quickly embraced him, which he was happy to return. Karai smiled briefly before turning to April as she heard her grunt.
"Guys… you might wanna get out of here!" April told them as she gave enough pressure to crack through the surface of the crest. Her eyes glowed bright blue before she gave a powerful yell, channeling all her psychic powers into that one crack, focusing it like a sharp blade that began to cut through the dam itself.
A massive crack formed at the top and began to cut down the middle. Already water was spraying out from the massive crack as the water pressure on the other side caused the weakened structure of the dam to grow even weaker. Cracks spread along the central one, causing it to break down even more as the whole dam began to shake.
April fell to her knees in exhaustion, almost falling unconscious, but Karai quickly grabbed her and hoisted her arm over her shoulder as she turned to Anna, who was doing the same to Kristoff and they ran as fast as they could. Already the crest behind them was breaking apart as the left side of the dam began to cave, followed by the right side just before they would make it. The floor beneath them gave way, and all four of them would have fallen…
Hadn't it been for a chain to wrap around the four, preventing them from falling. "I got them!" Shinigami said from the top, doing her best to keep them from falling over, but she was quickly losing her footing.
Casey quickly grabbed the chain Shinigami was holding, as did Olaf, all three working together to try and pull them up. They almost didn't make it, but Sven came in to grab the chain as well. All their strength combined was enough to pull Anna, Kristoff, April, and Karai to safety.
Once they were all up, they could only watch as what was left of the dam collapsed, allowing all the water it was holding back to flood out into the fjord like a tidal wave.
Suddenly, the foggy sky above them was lit up by a bright symbol. The four diamonds of the four elements with a shining white light in the center. It shined almost as bright as the sun itself.
Back at Ahtohallan, Elsa and the Turtles had made it to the shore of the frozen river as the last of the black ice palace completely collapsed. Though the icy and stony remains of Ahtohallan had been ruined, the magic of Ahtohallan itself had been purged clean. The might river was now completely free of any tainted influence.
Suddenly however, all five of them felt something in their heads as they turned in the same direction, back toward the mainland.
"Did you guys just feel that?" Donnie asked.
"Yeah, but what was it?" Raph also asked.
Elsa seemed to be the first to understand. "Anna and the others did it. The dam has fallen."
"What about Arendelle?" Mikey asked.
Leo looked towards Elsa, both sharing serious expressions and nods as the eldest of the Turtles spoke. "Our job's not done yet."
There was no need to say anything else. They all understood. Elsa quickly conjured an ice Japanese dragon, allowing all five of them to mount as their dragon shot into the air and made its way back to Arendelle as fast as it could.
The raging waters soared through the fjord, demolishing almost everything in its path save for the stone walls around it. And it was gunning straight for Arendelle. With the vast amount of water, and the force that it carried as it raged onward, the kingdom would not only be completely flooded, but even torn apart. It would leave nothing left but ruins in its wake.
From the edge of the cliffs; the Trolls and citizens of Arendelle could only watch as it seems like the kingdom many of them called home was about to meet a cataclysmic end. However, a roar caught their attention as they looked toward the sky to see the massive ice dragon fly ahead of the raging waters and toward the castle.
The dragon came to a stop just in front of the castle walls, hovering above the water as the five occupants immediately got to work. Michelangelo reached out to channel as much of his control of the water as he could and direct a large portion of the flooding waters away from Arendelle. Donatello raised his hands and pulled outward from the cliffside to bring down a large rockslide, thankfully not close to Arendelle, but enough to push much of the water in the direction his youngest brother was directing it. Raphael and Leonardo both threw out their arms as well to blast a wave of flame and a tornado respectively, both powers mixing together for a flaming vortex that formed in the center to try and evaporate and dissipate much of the flooding waters that was making its way closer to the kingdom. Elsa gave the finishing touch as she flew with her ice-wings above them and blasted her magic into the rest of the raging waters, freezing it solid and halting its advance completely. With a wave of her hands, the ice melted, and the water dissipated, merging with the rest of the ocean around the untouched kingdom.
The people of Arendelle looked in awe and relief before cheering alongside the trolls. Even Grand Pabbie gave a nod of approval.
Elsa and the Turtles looked back along with their dragon-steed to see that life was returning to Arendelle. Each of the Turtles could feel the Spirits inside them releasing their grip on the kingdom. The wind flowed freely again, the waterfalls ran, the stone streets were straightened out, and the lamps lit with flames once more.
Elsa laughed with joy as her home was now free. She was joined by the rest of the Turtles, with Mikey giving a victorious cheer all his own.
"AH YEAH! COME ON BROS AND SIS! VICTORY-HIGH-THREE!"
"BOOYAKASHA!" All five of them shouted with glee as they exchanged a five-way high five, right before the dragon took off back to the Enchanted Forest.
Finally, after more than three decades, the mist that had trapped every living thing the Enchanted Forest began to lift. Life returned to the forest again as the bright sun shined down upon it, and the animals returned with the sounds of birds chirping and other critters coming out of hiding.
The people began to walk out as they saw the mist finally break apart. Anna helped carry the injured Kristoff as Casey did the same with April, who was still exhausted from the use of her powers. Olaf walked alongside Sven and Shinigami, the later staying close to Karai who walked alongside the Mutanimals and Metalhead, the robot carrying the unconscious Stockman-Fly over his shoulder, as the mutants carried the frozen casket that still held the body of Hamato Yoshi inside.
Karai smiled sadly at her father's casket as she put a hand on the Hamato Crest engraved on it. "We did it father… we did it…" She then felt an embrace around her legs to see that it was Olaf giving her a hug as he looked up with a smile.
"He'd be proud of you." Olaf told her sincerely.
Karai gave a thankful smile as she patted him on the head, before feeling her hand gently grasped by Shinigami, who smiled to her childhood friend with a nod of her own, which Karai returned.
The people of Northuldra and Arendellian soldiers walked out together with the heroes as they looked up toward the sky with expressions of amazement and sheer joy.
"Wow…" Ryder breathed as his sister stood alongside him. "Look at the sky…!" Honeymaren gave a chuckle as she playfully nudged him on the side. "I just didn't realize there was so much of it."
"Thirty-four years…." Mattias looked toward the sky, the first time seeing it in such a long time that he honestly never felt he'd see it again.
"Five months…" Yelena stood by his side.
"And twenty-three days." The old lieutenant looked towards the Northuldra elder. "Yelena… what my king… what Runeard did… I had no idea. But… that doesn't mean I'm not guilty. I'm… I'm trully sorry. This was our fault."
Yelena sighed before she looked toward him with a small smile. "You're a good man, lieutenant. I know that if you had known about what he was doing, you would have tried to stop him. But the time for holding grudges has passed. It's time to make a new start, if you would allow it."
She offered him her arm, which he took with a grateful smile as they joined everyone else in walking out of the Enchanted Forest for the first time in decades.
Sven gave an excited laugh as he let his inner-animal instincts take over. He got on his hands and feet and ran out into the clearing, before he was joined by nearly every reindeer in the forest. All the people and mutants looked in joy as they saw the herd of reindeer run out and run together in a circle across the clearing.
"Yeah! That's it guys! Feel the wind in your fur!" Sven told them with a laugh as he ran alongside his unmutated kind.
Despite the clear victory they had achieved; April, Casey, Kristoff, Anna, and Karai still couldn't help but express concern for their friends and family who had yet to return.
"Hey, come on, I'm sure they're fine." Olaf said with optimism clear in his voice. "Remember who we're talking about. They'll be here any minute, you'll see."
April chuckled. "Always the optimist, hey Olaf?"
"Of course. Did you know that people who are optimistic actually live longer lives?" He told them, which resulted in the group laughing before they heard a roar in the distance.
Following the sound, the six of them made their way closer to a nearby beach. They looked outward to gasp in surprise at the image of a giant white Japanese dragon flying closer towards them. As the dragon came closer, they noticed five familiar figures riding on top. It didn't take a genius to figure out who it was.
Already filling with emotions, Anna was the first to run down with Olaf right behind her, as Karai and Casey helped the injured and exhausted Kristoff and April to get closer as well.
The giant ice dragon set down on the beach and allowed Elsa to dismount followed by the Turtles. With their task complete, the Spirits began to separate from each of the Turtles one-by-one and they returned to normal. Leo's body glowed a bright sky blue before Gale left his person, before playfully blowing around him. Raph's body shined a bright pink as Bruni appeared on his shoulder, running up and down his body before Raph set him down on the sand. Donnie's body glowed a brief purple as the sand below him took shape, Fuji returning to the earth and giving a smiley face on the sand. Finally, Mikey's body shined a navy blue before Neptune emerged from his back and merged again with the ocean. Neptune nudged Mikey's face slightly as the youngest Turtle petted him. Even Elsa, who smiled at all of her friends' interactions with the Spirits, turned around as the dragon behind her nudged her playfully. She chuckled as she scratched the ice dragon underneath its chin.
The five of them then turned around as Anna and Olaf were the first to come down and meet them on the beach along with Olaf, followed by April, Karai, Kristoff, and Casey.
"Told you we'd be back." Elsa smiled.
Anna wasted no time at all running toward her sister with an embrace, which Elsa returned, Olaf joining in the hug as well. Karai ran up to Leo with a hug of her own, April doing the same for Donnie, Kristoff shared a hug with Mikey as well, even Raph and Casey gave each other a high five and shared a manly hug of their own.
"Is… Is Arendelle…?" Anna asked in-between sobs.
"Don't worry, it did not fall." Elsa assured.
"It didn't…?" Anna continued to cry.
"Nope, we made sure of that." Donnie said.
"But we had a little help from these guys." Raph added, gesturing to the four spirits that stood together.
"These guys all said. We heard them in our heads. Arendelle is getting a second chance." Mikey said.
"That's good." Kristoff smiled.
"Thank you spirits!" Olaf said enthusiastically as Gale whirled around him in celebratory fashion.
"We got your message." April told them. "The dam's been destroyed."
"Good work. And Ahtohallan is free." Leo said.
"So… does that mean…?" Casey asked, as he, April, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Karai all came to the same conclusion.
"He's… gone…?" Karai asked hopefully.
Elsa and Leo shared smiles before they answered. "He's gone." Elsa confirmed as Leo reached behind to take out the black frozen Kuro Kabuto to show them all.
"Shredder is finished." Leo declared before dropping the Kuro Kabuto on the ground. It was finally over.
Done.
This chapter was certainly longer than I thought, but I am nonetheless satisfied with it. Not only has the Enchanted Forest has finally been freed, but the Shredder has been defeated for good. Everyone played their parts with Elsa and the Turtles confronting the Shredder, while Anna and the others destroyed the dam. The three evils of Deception, Hunger, and Hatred had been uncovered and defeated.
(I'm sure many of you are wondering 'with Shredder's body destroyed, what's going to happen with a certain demon from the Underworld?' All I'll say is that I have special plans that I cannot answer. You'll just have to wait and see what those plans are)
But… the story's not quite done yet. There is one last epilogue chapter left before this story can be completed. There are a few loose ends that will be addressed in the next and final chapter of this story. So let me just say once again, thank you all for being with me and supporting me on this amazing journey.
I'll have the epilogue posted before the end of this year, so until that time, please stay safe and stay healthy out there.
