Chapter 14- War Council

Grigori HQ, Fallen Angel District, Underworld;

7 days Ago,Right after Azazel's meeting with Ichigo,

Azazel quickly teleported to the HQ as stated in the emergency call. And quickly proceeded towards the meeting room.

As he entered, he came face to face with other 3 in the room, One was a young man with silver hair,the other was a middle aged man with black hair and lastly a teenager wearing a bartender outfit.

The three were Shemhazai,Baraqiel,and Ikuse Tobio respectively. The three were the strongest members of Grigori after Azazel himself and that included Tobio as well due to his position as Azazel's disciple and an agent of Grigori.

All three of them had somewhat of a solemn expression on their face, Baraqiel was normal but not Tobio and Shemhazai. Those two always had a carefree smile on their face,but not today.

Looking at the three of them Azazel's expression hardened as the gravity of situation increased even more.

Sighing,as he lit a cigarette, Azazel went to his seat other following him and taking a seat as well.

"Now tell me what in the underworld happened for me to recieve a Code Black signal?" Asked Azazel as he blew some smoke.

Shemhazai,the vice governor of Gregori, quickly reported,

"The code was sent by the Raynare Trio asking for help-"

"The Trio, Ofcourse, it would be Raynare and her squad," Azazel groaned "but what's the problem?"

"The Problem is that , although they were able to escape due to code black, they don't remember anything from the past year" Baraqiel informed

"Amnesia?" Azazel frowned

"Nope, Healers and Mind Healers both checked but they have truly lost an entire year worth of memories"

"But I still don't understand why this Code Black is such a big deal? Isn't it just memory loss?" Tobio asked a little confused of all the tension. He knew that someone was attacked,hence his solemn expression,but it looked like the leaders were worried about something else entirely.

Azazel sighed and explained "It is a code only to be used when the entire faction may be in danger, It teleports the user directly to the HQ and send an emergency signal to me and Shemhazai."Azazel shook his head " Raynare and her squad may have used it to escape from the danger but the memory loss is what's concerning"

Tobio still looked a little unsure, So Shemhazai added "Don't forget in this world anything is possible,and that includes memory manipulation from erasing to... stealing"

Tobio's eyes widened in shock as he realised the consequences of an enemy having that much Intel.

"Then..."

"We can't be sure. It could be that they simply angered the wrong person but we can't be too sure"

"Oh..."

"What do you think Azazel?" Baraqiel asked suddenly directing the attention towards his leader who was lost in thought.

"Hmm...hn...mhm...maybe" Azazel mumbled to himself seemingly unaware of their gaze and suddenly stood up "Shemhazai, send the trio to my lab, I need to check something and Baraqiel and Tobio, you two, go to..uhm..wherever Raynare used the Code Black and check for clues."

Not giving the others a chance to speak Azazel left the room and went to his lab to prepare.

Shemhazai, sighed, used to his leader and friend's strange behaviour and went to fetch the Trio.

Tobio and Baraqiel, looked at each other, bitterly smiled and went on their own mission.

And Just like that a meeting which would decide the fate of Grigori ended,just like that.

Present Day

Ichigo was feeling bittersweet.

He was happy that his life was back on track but at the same time was realising just how different this world was for one thing, Ichigo's only (same) Friend was Tatsuki, others were new faces to the former Ichigo. But unfortunately they were merely just 'friends'. A stage between Acquaintance and Friends.

And It looked like it would remain that way, especially since Ichigo regained his memories.

And right now Ichigo was ... sulking,?!

Why? What Happened?

Well, turns out Orihime invited Ichigo to her house(Tommorow) for a small get together.(Through a chat message).

And Ichigo desperately wanted to deny but didn't know how to.

Ichigo had quickly realised that although there were some simmilar people they weren't the same. And he didn't want to project his own memories on someone else.

That's why he didn't know how to react to Orihime's invite. Last week he was so happy to hear her voice that he projected his own Orihime on her. Now he was feeling guilty but at the same time wanted to meet and see her again as well.

And it wasn't just about Orihime, Tatsuki and others as well.

Luckily his love for his family remained the same no matter the world .For that he was glad.

'Ughh...Just follow your instincts,king!' White finally couldn't take it anymore and yelled at Ichigo.

'I agree'

"Fine"Ichigo groused.

In the end he knew that sulking like a certain fuck haired emo wasn't going to do anything.

To distract himself Ichigo decided to surf the internet but not before agreeing to meet at the party. Since he needed to get used to his new(past life) memories and what better way to do that other than facing it head on.

While Ichigo was surfing the net he came across the poster for a school's admission.

"Kuoh Accademy Open for Admission"

Co-ed Education now available

Kuoh Academy a world famous middle and high school all girl academy, native to this world's Kuoh city.

In Ichigo's past life there wasn't any Kuoh city much less this academy,but from this life's memories it is a very prestigious academy which even foreign students want to attend but 90% of the seats are reserved for Japanese citizens only.

But even then the cut off rate is very high always reaching above 90%. And it was even higher for foreign students. But there are also rumours you can attend as long as you 'donate' certain amount of money. Since some of their students weren't the brightest.

And now that co-ed system was implemented the competition was sure to rise, either due to perverts or rise in admission criteria.

But Ichigo wasn't interested in this for himself, no , Ichigo didn't want to repeat Highschool at it came down to it he would use the excuse of homeschooling to take the exam ,thats it.

The reason Ichigo was interested in this was because the admission portal was still open for today. And from its reputation,it would be an very good place for Karin and Yuzu. And even though it was a little far he could still take care of them, he was planning on homeschooling afterall. Also,it was a good excuse to leave his dilemma behind him.

If he was in a different city the chances of seeing people he knew would drastically decrease.

Feeling this plan was perfect Ichigo thanked his luck and quickly started filling the form.

Azazel's Lab,

Looking at the test results Azazel sighed, his face was filled with shock,horror and resentment.

If it weren't for the hidden curse he had learned about at the Kurosaki Household,he wouldn't have bothered to do this.

Maybe it was for the peace of mind or maybe it was intuition, the reason didn't matter. What mattered were the unfortunate results.

Although, there wasn't a curse hidden in the trio like masaki, what was hidden was even more insidious.

It was a corpse worm, a very very rare, a supposedly extinct worm that was created through special means by cruelly ripping out the children from the womb of pregnant women and killing them infront of those pregnant women, this would generate extreme resentment which was then extracted through a special divice in form of a blood red water droplet.

When 10,000 of such droplet were gathered together, it would form an egg which will give birth to this worm which was both mindless and weak.

If introduced in someone's body it would melt and hide within the victim's blood and with each heart blood revolution, it would slowly eat away at the victim's conciousness.

Until it completely replaced the host, but even then the worm's conciousness would still be in control of it's creator.

It could be used to create slaves, suicide bombs, or many other nefarious things. The only downside was the less than 1% sucess rate.

Such an evil technique obviously angered and alarmed everyone on the planet and together they joined together for the first time to destroy everything related to this evil technique.

Since then this technique was taboo and no one dared to practice it in fear of angering the whole world.

But now this technique had returned, no, who knows how many years it had already returned.

Right now, the trio was sealed in ice coffins and under the effect of time magic even blood flood was stopped.

The entire thing with memory erasure was just a cover up for this.

Azazel's expression hardened and a murderous intent emerged on his carefree face as he muttered " It's about time the world learned to fear Fallen Angels again. It's time for a war council"
