When they arrived back at the hotel, they split up, with Bucky going into the kitchen and Wanda going to her room. After taking a shower, she put her hair up, then put on some makeup. She dug around in her bags from the store, getting the black bustier and the black dress. Looking at the white dress, she realized that is what Bucky would probably prefer that one. So she pulled out the white camisole set and dress instead. She realized after the fact that she had no heels, but she thought Scarlet had a pair of black ones. They didn't wear the same size, but if the heels weren't too high, she could manage. Besides, she could take them off as soon as she sat down for dinner.

As she walked down the hall toward the kitchen, she heard Bucky singing. She didn't recognize the song clearly from his youth, but she enjoyed hearing him sing. He wasn't actually in the kitchen, so she followed his voice to find him lighting candles on a small table in a side room. The dining room was so big. This room seemed more intimate.

Bucky turned to see her and stopped cold. After a few moments, he just said, "Wow."

Wanda blushed and he pulled her close. He reached behind her, removing the clip from her hair. Her hair spilled down as he cupped her face in his hands. "You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen," he said before kissing her tenderly. She wrapped her arms around his waist and just drank him in. He kissed her a few times before pulling back to look at her. "I hope you know how much I love you."

"I do and hope you know how much I love you too." She kissed him again and let him enfold her in his arms, making her feel safe.

Bucky was quite the gentleman at dinner. From pulling out her chair to serving her pizza on real China plates. He found an excellent red wine, and she realized pizza, red wine, and a white dress could be a potential nightmare. Luckily, she wasn't overly hungry because of this early dinner. His phone rang while they were still eating. It surprised both of them and he looked down at the phone's screen. "It's Steve. There must be a problem."

After he answered, she listened to his side of the conversation to see what was going on. But Bucky only agreed or disagreed with Steve. He hung up after telling Steve he'd tell her something. "Apparently your friend Vision relayed a message through Maria Hill and said he's sorry and misses you."

"Surely that's not why Steve called," she said, furrowing her brow.

"No. That was the good news," he said reluctantly. "They have increased the reward for the four of you and tripled the reward for me, with multiple countries contributing. And they also released all of your crimes to the public as well as your brother's crimes. It was a supposed 'leak'. Since Natasha leaked her own back in DC with they took down Shield and Hydra, they had nothing to leak for her. The only crimes Sam had, were being in league with all of us. Even Tony Stark is up in arms about you and Pietro's crimes being leaked, because it makes it look like you should never have been an Avenger and he was stupid to allow it. He and T'Challa were both attempting to do damage control in different ways but I think T'Challa has his hands full with something else. Public opinion of the Avengers is at an all-time low. They were enroute but they stopped to get jet fuel but will likely be back very early tomorrow."

Wanda didn't say anything. Grabbing her wine, she took a few sips. "It's okay. I mean I'm not an Avenger anymore anyway." She tried to swallow her emotions but she wanted to scream because she tried so hard to redeem herself as well as earn everyone's respect and the goodwill disappeared so quickly without even her defense. And now she was considered a mistake. But worse than that, she was angry about Pietro's name being dragged through the mud after he sacrificed his life to save Clint and that little boy. And it was all her fault his name was sullied.

"Wanda, you don't have to hide your feelings from me. I know how frustrating it is to do well and have your past thrown in your face."

"There's nothing to do about it. It hurts my feelings of course but mainly I'm upset about Pietro being brought into this because of me. He died a hero and now I made him a criminal again. But there's nothing I can do," she said with a slight shrug. She didn't want it to ruin their night.

"It wasn't your fault. If anyone is to blame, it's me. And if it makes you feel any better, apparently the Secretary of State also released further details about my crimes, including the fact I killed JFK. I'm really popular in America now," His sarcasm didn't hide his disappointment either

Getting up, she walked over and sat in his lap. "So, they finally know the lone gunman theory was bullshit after all. They should be grateful that's finally solved." Wrapping her arms around his neck she kissed him.

Bucky chuckled and shook his head. "That is definitely a glass half full way of looking at things. I don't think anyone is grateful."

"Nothing about this is your fault. You were on the run because of HYDRA. You committed those horrible crimes because of them as well. And Zemo is to blame for triggering you again. When you and Steve went to Siberia, you were doing the right thing. Which is why we all supported Steve. But I guess we're made for each other. We can be this century's Bonnie and Clyde."

Bucky asked if she was finished eating and when she said yes, he lifted her as he stood up. As he started walking toward their rooms, she began kissing him and didn't stop until he opened the door to his room. He sat her down on the bed and appeared to be nervous. She asked him what was wrong.

"I was planning on waiting until after you managed to get rid of the mind control. But every day I feel stronger and stronger about you. I just don't know if tonight was ruined by Steve's news. I just want it to be the right time," he said in a rush, more nervous than she had ever seen him.

"Hey, tonight hasn't been ruined. No night spent with you could be ruined so easily. And Secretary Ross is not worth enough to do it." She laughed and he took her left hand, holding it while he dug around in his pocket. When he dropped to his knee, her heart jumped into her throat.

"I know it seems sudden. But I've known for some time that I want to spend the rest of my life with you, so I don't care if it's been two months or two decades. And HYDRA has wasted much of my life. I don't want to waste another moment. I want to marry you, Wanda." He said it so fast she wasn't sure he had taken a breath. But then again, she hadn't taken a breath either. "I don't know where we're going to live or even how we're going to live. As long as I'm with you, I can live anywhere and anyway we need to. Wanda Maximoff, will you marry me?" He held out a ring box, and she wondered where it came from. He must have realized she was curious and chuckled. "Its nothing fancy or big. I got it when we were shopping and they didn't have diamond rings, but I'll get you a real one when I can."

Wanda opened the box, and it was a silver ring with a square shaped amethyst. She bit her lip, trying to stop herself from crying, but it didn't help. She nodded her head and said yes quickly before grabbing his face and kissing him repeatedly. When they finally took a breath, they both started laughing. He slid the ring on her finger. It was a little snug, but she didn't care. She didn't care that it wasn't a diamond or anything. He'd gotten her birthstone, and it was the most special gift she'd ever received, except his love.

"I don't want another ring. I don't even think I am a diamond type girl. This one is perfect. You realized the others are going to think we're crazy when they get back," she said with a smile.

"Crazy in love."

Eventually, their kisses went from tender to passionate. Bucky pulled her dress up slowly and once it was off, he laid it carefully on the dresser. Then he saw what she wore underneath. The expression on his face made it worth the cost of the outfit.

Bucky ran his hand down the lace back as he looked down on her body. "This looks… so hot. You took such efforts to look just right, but I hope you know you are always perfect looking at me."

"You're a little biased," she whispered with a smile.

"It is quite gorgeous on you," he said, glancing down. "But your bare skin is my preference."

"I feel the same way," she said, pulling his shirt up and over his head.

Hearing a strange noise, they both froze. Eventually Bucky said, "It's a jet." His phone rang, and he quickly answered it. "Steve?" He nodded to her, and she grabbed her dress and ran into the other room to put on some clothing. When he hung up, he said, "Someone spotted Natasha while Steve was on the phone with me, so they came here on an indirect route instead of risking staying in a hotel somewhere."

Sam. Natasha, and Steve walked in looking much worse for the wear. Wanda could tell by looking at them how much of a toll it had taken on them, especially Steve. Even Sam was subdued.

"We're basically public enemy number one," Steve said when they all gathered around the table. "Even Tony and the others have lost a lot of the public's appreciation and respect. The leaks are coming fast and furious. Even Vision is under the microscope now that people realize how dangerous he could be. The only one from the battle at the airport who has been spared has been Spiderman, mainly because no one knows who he is. I'm sorry guys. This is on me."

"It's hardly on you. We all chose to fight with you and its mine and Bucky's crimes that are causing the most damage now, isn't it?" Wanda took Bucky's hand under the table. She knew what had to be done. "If he and I leave, make a public scene somewhere, then you guys can work out a pardon. Stark will likely back it for Natasha and Sam, maybe even Steve. We can't let the Avengers be destroyed. They are needed."

"I think it's too late," Sam replied. "It's not just you and Bucky. I'm considered a traitor because I'm a vet who turned against the US government. Apparently, now Secretary Ross represents the whole US now"

"Sharon Carter has been branded Enemy of the State as well. Fury and Hill are working on damage control, but it doesn't look good." Natasha looked as discouraged as Steve. "It's so frustrating because I get that what we did at the airport was stupid and careless. But the accords were because of the damage we did while trying to save people. The council wanted to set off a nuke in New York. Project Insight was going to kill millions, probably the people we consider good people. And yes, Ultron was created by mistake by a couple of Avengers but we had to blow up part of Sokovia after he sent it into the air."

"The bombing in Nigeria is on me plus I helped Ultron. I can honestly understand why they consider me a threat," Wanda replied looking down for a moment. Bucky squeezed her hands.

"But if that bomb had gone off where Steve was standing, it would have killed and injured hundreds, if not thousands, of people. Once again, it came out badly, but it was still better than the alternative," Nat replied. "Stop blaming yourself for that. You lost control, but you bravely tried to stop it."

"This really isn't doing anyone any good," Bucky pointed out. "We all fucked up majorly with underlying reasons, but how many people have we saved?" Sam raised his eyebrows at Bucky. "Okay well don't count me in that because I think I've killed more than I've saved."

"If you hadn't shot JFK, I might not be so mad at you right now." Sam glared at him. "Seriously Bucky? You could have mentioned this before I found out on the news."

"I thought everyone knew," Bucky said glancing at Steve and Natasha.

"I knew." Both Natasha and Steve confirmed.

"Well, of course, I knew. Sadly, I saw that memory," Wanda answered. "But I'm not American, so I didn't really care much other than he killed a president."

"Same here. It did not upset Russians at all, so I didn't grow up thinking JFK was a hero."

"Considering that Steve was in the ice then and didn't know who JFK was until decades later, I guess I'm the only one that was upset by it. No wonder no one told me. Anyone else you killed I should know about?" He waited for Bucky to answer. But he didn't. He just smiled slowly, loving to make Sam squirm. Finally, Sam gave up and grunted out, "I hate you."

A long silence filled the room, then Steve sighed. "We're going to move to another safe house in a week. We're not in danger yet, but I don't want to risk staying in the same place too long. And we need to leave Europe because we've been spotted in Europe twice."

Wanda felt really sad about leaving the hotel. They had so many things already here, like the bars and karaoke machine. Plus, this was the first place Bucky and she had lived together. Well, in the same room. As long as she was with Bucky, she could handle any new place.

"Why don't you guys get some sleep? I might as well mess with his mind since you guys are back," Wanda said and rose, turning to Steve and putting her arms around him. Quietly she said, "I still like you even if you were an Avenger."

He chuckled and said, "Well, I like you even though you are sleeping with a former assassin and were an Avenger."

Glancing over at Nat, she said, "You're just jealous you're not sleeping with the other former assassin." Steve gave her a look and told her to behave.

Grabbing some water bottles, she went with Bucky to the stables. He took her hand, intertwining their fingers, and kissed the back of her hand. "I'm sorry they interrupted our romantic evening."

"It's okay. We can have a romantic midnight snack." He let her hand go and wrapped his arm around her instead. Wanda didn't care about the bad news of the night right now. She was with Bucky and that's all that mattered.

Five more minutes and Wanda planned to give up for the night. Her whole body hurt because she had been standing beside Bucky for hours without taking a break or even stretching. Bucky often fell asleep while she went on her tour of his mind, unless she found something and triggered it. She attempted to repair as much damage as she could, but her primary objective was finding the programming. Once she sent the Winter Soldier packing, she could fix his scattered memories.

Continuing to map this area that was clearly something significant, either another trauma or finally the damn HYDRA codes, Wanda knew they must be close to a resolution. God, she hoped so. She had been in Bucky's mind more than her own lately. If she could stay in his mind, it wouldn't be so bad as wandering back and forth between him and the Winter Soldier. The Soldier was the one giving her the sleepless nights. Bucky had been giving her some really wonderful nights. Her face grew hot even thinking about it. She should just hurry so she could get to that.

Feeling a strange push back, Wanda sighed and pushed a little harder, hoping it wasn't a trauma. This area was strange. Usually, memories and thoughts had lights within the mind, at least to her. But there were no lights here. It felt murky and claustrophobic, making it even harder for her. It had to be important. She kept her suspicions to herself, not wanting to get Bucky's hopes up. She glanced down at his face to make sure she wasn't hurting him. He let her work in silence unless something bothered him. She expected him to be either sleeping or sitting with his eyes closed at least.

Bucky wasn't asleep. His gaze followed her warily. Wanda worried she had hurt him. "What is it, love?" she asked, running her fingers over his cheek. He took her hand, slowly running his thumb over the inside of her wrist. She kissed him on the top of his head. She realized she must have caused more terrible memories. She pulled his face up and kissed him, slowly. After a few moments, his kiss was demanding and sloppy, as he plunged his tongue into her mouth and wrapped his arms around her waist, jerking her closer. At first, she thought he was just turned on. She smiled and chuckled under her breath, but before she could tease him about his reaction, she knew the kiss was not his normal, very erotic and skilled kiss. It hit her hard how wrong all of this felt and she realized what was wrong with him.

Everything was different with him. How could she not have seen? Panic flooded her, while she tried to decide what to do. His gaze rose to her hers and before she could mask it, terror filled her eyes and he knew. He wasn't trying to hurt her. Is it possible that the Winter Soldier remembered her? More than likely, he didn't react because she didn't pose a threat and he hadn't been given any orders regarding her.

"I don't want to hurt you," she said quietly, putting her hands up in the air. She really didn't want to hurt him if she could bring Bucky back safely. "Do you remember me?"

Taking a step back, she gasped when he grabbed her arm with his vibranium hand to prevent her from moving away. Unlike Bucky, who most often used his right hand, the Winter Soldier went straight to the metal arm. It was possible they had different dominant arms. He stood up so close to her, she wanted to scream. He pulled her into him, gazing down into her eyes. All logical thinking just left her and she whispered, "Please, don't." His grip on her arms tightened slightly.

Quickly, he changed hands and looked at the vibranium arm. She realized he'd never see it or used it. His lack of experience could work to her benefit or could end up hurting her more. She had never fought the Winter Soldier unlike the others. He flexed his fingers and moved the arm around, seeming to be pleased with it. Perhaps he knew from Bucky's memories how much better it was.

Turning away from her, he scanned the stables and momentarily ignored her. As soon as he saw the motorcycle on the garage side, his grip on her lessened. She thought he might actually let her go. But if he got on that bike, she lost Bucky and that couldn't happen. She reached up and rested her hand on his chest, over his heart. If all else fails, she could try to try to manipulate his mind but she was scared it would mess Bucky's mind up more. She'd throw him backwards with her magic before she'd risk destroying anymore of Bucky's memories. Attempting to use a soothing voice, she used her accent as well, thinking it might disarm him a bit. "You're the Winter Soldier, right? You can stay here. I will get you food or whatever you need. It's safe for you here. No one will come for you."

His gaze lowered to her hand on his chest Then looked at her for a long time, up and down before saying, "I know you. Who are you?" His voice threw her off, so deep and thickly accented. She forgot how it sounded. "Is this HYDRA?"

"I'm nobody," she replied, thinking vague was better. She was wrong.

The Winter Soldier moved so quickly and caught her off-guard, Wanda couldn't even use her powers. He twisted her so his right arm, held her body in a way that her arms were pinned down and grasped her throat with his left hand. "Who are you?" he repeated, squeezing her throat as a warning.

"Wanda Maximoff. I used to be in HYDRA," she answered quickly.

The Winter Soldier studied her for a few more moments. "You came to Siberia. I remember you." He still wasn't releasing her. "Vishnya." He buried his face in her neck, smelling her hair.

"Yes. That was me. Please don't hurt me," she pleaded, hating to sound helpless, but he had her in a way that she was helpless. "You remember we talked?"

Wanda mentally kicked herself that she didn't scream for Steve. She wondered if seduction was possible, but the thought was too disturbing for words. He might be in Bucky's body, but the last thing she wanted was to sleep with the Winter Soldier. But maybe enough seduction to get him to let her go.

"You used to like me in Siberia," she said in what she hoped was a seductive voice. "Do you not remember our time together?" She didn't wipe his memory completely in relation to her, but his feelings for her were gone. Since he probably only felt things for her because of her kindness to him, not an actual physical attraction, it wasn't likely that she could accomplish any feelings in the next minute or two. She honestly didn't know if he thought of sex and women like that at all. I mean, she could get him to react with lust just because that was just his body. But seduction might be impossible. She wasn't sure. If she attempted to get his body to react, it might end up very badly for her. She had no idea. But he just needed to let go of her hands. "If you let me go, it can be like Siberia."

"You were supposed to be given to me, so you could make the memory wipes stop. You left. If you think you can fool me now, you cannot," he said, then slowly moved down her back with his vibranium hand, then over her ass. He seemed curious at least as he wrapped his hand around the inside of her each thigh, felt down her side, then began feeling the front of her. She realized then it wasn't her body he was after. He wanted to know if she had a weapon. Bucky always had at least one knife on him, so if she got her hands free, she needed to get that away from him before he used it on her. It made sense that he knew where Bucky kept his knives. Most likely, he could feel the weight of it.

Wanda closed her eyes and prayed for the strength to go through this. "Will you let me go, so I can turn around to face you?" She wasn't prepared for him to just turn her while still restraining her. So now she was facing him with no idea what she should say or do.

She couldn't do this, not attempt seduction. Not this way. She'd rather suffer some bruises than have him touch her sexually. Right now, he was just watching her like he expected her to make some kind of move. But it seemed off like he must know what she was attempting to do. She hated to admit it but he was more than just a mindless killer. Quickly, she tried to think of some way to do this.

Perhaps before she fell in love with Bucky, she could have managed to seduce the Winter Soldier to get away from him. But it was too late now. Unable to control the desperation in her voice, she pleaded, "Bucky, please stop this."

Her mistake saying Bucky's name triggered him instantly. He grabbed her throat again and his grip intensified and Wanda went into survival mode, using every advantage she had against him, which wasn't nearly enough. She bit him on the shoulder while kicking him on the inside of his foot, surprising him into loosening his grip just enough that she pulled one hand free. Flinging an energy ball at his arm she managed to force him to release her. She ran towards the door, but he blocked her way. Terrified she might hurt Bucky, she carefully flung her energy at him and moved in the other direction but when he deflected her strike. She evaded him a few times, including sending him flying once. Unfortunately he landed between her and the door. By the time she ran towards the garage, he had gotten up and lunged at her, basically tackling her and grabbing her around the waist and bringing her down to the floor, hard, with all his weight on her. Because of his weight landing so hard on her, she had a hard time catching her breath. He moved enough that she got one hand from underneath him but he grabbed that hand and forced it down. She still shot off some energy but it was the vibranium arm so unless she was prepared to shoot the arm off, she couldn't do anything.

They wrestled on the floor for a few minutes but Wanda was no match for him, of course. She managed to mainly bruise herself up and piss him off. Straddling her and pinning her down, his grip on her throat resumed. Of course, he was smart enough to hold down one hand and the other lay uselessly underneath her with both of their weight on it.

As both of them panted for breath, his eyes challenged her to make the next move. So apparently, he wasn't pissed off. Perhaps he just thought it was entertaining to terrorize her. She hadn't realized some of this was a game to him.

"I was nice to you in Siberia," she ground out, still struggling.

"While I was restrained," he pointed out. "Our roles are reversed,"

"I'm not the one who restrained you!"

"Would you prefer being held down to a chair by metal bands?" he asked, and she saw the anger in his eyes.

"No. I wish they hadn't done that to you either," she said, trying to calm her voice. "But that was HYDRA. Not me. I would never do that to you."

"You do not wish to be my captive? It is simple. You must escape," he said with what some would call a smile.

It infuriated her he was justifying this by the fact HYDRA restrained him. Putting her feet on the floor, she pushed up and brought down her elbow on his crotch. His hand loosened on her throat, but he gripped her hand hard when she hurt him, probably breaking a couple of fingers and causing her to cry out in pain. Losing the use of her hands made her completely defenseless and her panic grew.

Frantic maneuvering to get away helped very little. She got onto her stomach and tried to crawl away from him. She learned the hard way that all men, brainwashed or not, respond as violently to being hit in the crotch. He pulled her back by her ankle then grabbed her hair, jerking her viciously so she rolled back over and he could get his hand back on her throat. Wanda was just grateful he hadn't hit her instead. Perhaps he was toying with her rather than trying to kill her. But his knee now pinned her hands down.

Wanda refused to stop struggling. At some point, she had wiggled away enough that she thought escape might be possible. Rolling them both over, he threw her off balance.

After recovering from the crotch hit, the Winter Soldier was completely calm the entire time. Lying on top of him, Wanda sat up and lunged to the side, landing hard on one knee. Not releasing her hands, he let go of her neck to wrap his vibranium arm around her waist, squeezing her tightly. Wanda cried out when she felt one of her ribs break.

He put his mouth near her ear and said in a low voice, "I like it when you struggle. But you cannot win this. Why do you fight, Vishnya?"

When he tried to roll them back over, she realized she would be face down, so she twisted enough to land on her back. Once again, he pinned her beneath him and all of her attempts to get away failed. Wanda cried out in frustration and pure anger, but he had in a much more secure hold than before. She literally couldn't move anything from the waist up, nor would she be able to reach him with her legs. Tears ran down her face and he looked amused. His gaze intense, he leaned down and ran his tongue slowly over both cheeks to taste her tears. She did not know why he did it, but it gave her chills.

"You cry so sweetly."

Wanda finally came to her senses enough to scream for Steve. He might hear her but she didn't know if she would be dead before he got here. She barely got out the first sound before the Winter Soldier squeezed her neck tight enough that she couldn't scream again.

Desperate, Wanda attempted pleading with her eyes and he loosened his grip slightly. It gave her hope only to have him grip even tighter until she was going to pass out. His eyes cold and his face emotionless. Bucky wasn't there at all. He had no influence over the Winter Soldier, nor could he save her. This was in no way the man she loved.

"Go to sleep, Vishnya. Perhaps I will take you with me."

Wanda didn't know if he would kill her or continue to toy with her. If he took her with him, perhaps she could get Bucky back. Whether she would live long enough wasn't likely. And if he wasn't trying to win her over, she hated to think what he'd do. She knew he had killed innocent people who had witnessed him killing others, even without orders. His goal was to survive and leaving her alive wouldn't benefit him. And would he find the others and hurt them?

Darkness blurred the edges of her vision. And the terror of dying built up inside her to the point where her power exploded out of her like when Pietro died. Bucky flew through the air, slamming through the wall and into the garage side where he hit the SUV and landed in a heap beside it.

Breathing heavily, she still felt like his weight was on her and his hand gripping her neck. She turned her head just enough to make sure she had knocked him out, but he was still breathing. Huge sobs wracked her body adding difficulty to her already diminished breathing. She lay still until she could calm down enough so it improved. Not knowing how long she had, she had to swallow all her emotions for now.

Bucky would blame himself for this and be devastated. Then all the work she had done so far would be wasted when he gave up hope. If he knew how bad it had been, he would give up. He would probably leave. That thought overwhelmed her as did the thought of losing him to the Winter Soldier.

Pulling out her phone, she struggled to hit the numbers and called Steve. She was so shaken up she couldn't even speak, just lay the phone down as she sobbed. In less than two minutes, Steve was by her side.

"Oh my God," he said, trying to decide where she was hurt worse and how to help her.

"I need to heal myself," she sobbed, her voice was so hoarse, it was barely above a whisper. "Bucky can't see me like this or he'll give up and leave."

Realizing what she was saying, Steve shook his head and said, "That's crazy, Wanda. You can't hide this from him. I will help you but I won't keep this from him."

"I have to, for his sake." She started sobbing again. "Please, I can't argue with you now. Just help me, Steve."

He hesitated for a few moments, clearly against keeping this from Bucky. Finally, he nodded and asked, "What do you need me to do?"

"Just protect me," she whispered. She knew while she healed herself, she would be vulnerable to an attack if the Winter Soldier returns. "And if the Winter Soldier wakes up instead of Bucky, keep him here somehow."

Wanda raised her left hand above her right to heal her broken finger, then tested all of her fingers. When she moved on to her neck, healing the bruises, she had blood on her face and she didn't know why, likely she bit her lip or tongue.

Steve moved her hair out of the way. "Jesus, Wanda, I'm so sorry," he muttered under his breath. She knew he'd feel bad for not being out there.

Despite not approving of her plan, he examined her after she healed each area, making sure there were no remaining visible marks and that she seemed alright. Her collarbone and a couple of ribs were broken, too. It took her longer to heal the bones and it hurt much more, causing tears to roll down her face. And she could almost hear the Winter Soldier saying, "You cry so sweetly". She had to stop for a few minutes, too emotional to control her power. Steve watched her with obvious concern and every once in a while, he'd stroke back her hair. When she finished, she lay with her eyes closed for a few minutes before Steve brought her into his arms and cradled her gently, his head resting on hers. Wanda hurt so much in her heart, she didn't care about the physical pain anymore. When she opened her eyes, she said, "I know where the codes are now."

Eventually, she heard Bucky moving around and she stood with Steve's help, taking a few steps back, not even able to read Bucky well enough to know which personality it was. She held her hands up defensively; the terror making her hands shake, tears still streaming down her face. She knew her powers were so weak right now because her body was still traumatized and healing, plus her emotions affected her control. She could kill Bucky by mistake or pass out when she used her powers. Steve stood in front of her, waiting to see if it was Bucky or the Winter Soldier. Wanda realized too late that he didn't have the shield and he might not hold the Winter Soldier back, but hopefully the two of them could.
