Nova's POV

I walk down the streets with a huge grin my face. I look around and my grin widens as I see children running around, laughing and playing with each other. The town was beautiful. Full of lights and good smells. The road was rocky and the sidewalk smooth. There were food stands everywhere, where street vendors sold their delicious smelling food. The street lamps were bright and lit up the town perfectly.

I passed the many stores. I cant believe this town is still awake at a time like this. Everyone at home goes to bed around this time. But the town seemed more awake then ever. It truly was a sight.

I held onto my hoodie tightly. Being outside felt so great, but I also was a little afraid. Everything was so new to me. I continue to explore, this beautiful town.

''No, no. I completely disagree with you, I know for a fact. Me and my copper, can beat you and your horse any day.'' I say confidently as I take a sip of my cold beverage. The green robot monkey with black eyes in front of me laughs.

''I think you're underestimating my horse and me.'' He says. I smirk.

''I think it's the other way around.'' He scoffs and drinks his beverage. I'm Sparks. And the monkey in front of me is Otto. Someone I sometimes meet up with for a few drinks when I decide to socialize. I don't technically live in this town. But I was raised here.

I live just outside the town. In a small cabin in the woods. I sometimes come into town for business or to meet up with some friends that I still talk to. I'm known quite well in this town. Mostly for my good looks. I may not have much but girls go crazy for me and I know it. But not everyone is a fan of me. I'm known quite well for mostly getting my way. I've stolen things, but some of my actions have also gotten me the respect I need. This town is my home. But only the side I take care of.

''How's about another drink, sparks!'' I hear Otto say to me. I look towards him and see him at the bar. The bar I was at was a local one. I basically grew up here. The owner was a close friend of my parents before I lost them both at a very young age. The bar was pretty full tonight and with people dancing and chatting away. I nod at Otto and smirk. ''One more wouldn't hurt!''

I lean against the bar, let the night start!

Nova's POV

I giggle as a small child runs into my leg. He looks up at me and smiles. Before I could say to him, his mother comes over and snatches his away, I gasp and see her drag him away. Oh dear. I guess not everyone is in a good mood. As I continue to walk I see a place with a lot of people outside, I see them chatting and laughing. They looked to be about my age. With a smile I walk towards the pub.

''Loon bar?'' I read the name of the place. I take a peak inside and see a bar and people dancing. That looks like fun! I hold onto my hoodie tightly and with a deep breathe, I step inside.

''Wow….'' I whisper to myself. Inside of the bar is amazing. All the lights, the dance floor mad of wood. And the loud music with people dancing to it. I walk around glancing at everything my eyes lay on.

''This place is ama-'' With a oof, I bump into someone, causing that person to knock over his drink and splash it on the monkey next to him. I stare at him with wide eyes.

''I-I'm sorry, I did-'' the brown monkey with yellow eyes interrupts me.

''I hope you have a way of paying for that.'' He says in a hoarse voice. I back away slowly.

''P-pay? I don't have any-'' while backing away I bump into someone else. A large robot monkey staring down at me with a smirk. The brown robot monkey then stands and walks towards me.

''I don't just take money you know.'' He says with a grin. His eyes travel up and down my body and I nervously hug myself.

''Excuse me-'' I try pushing past him but he blocks my way.

''You seem lost. Are you from around here?'' He says while putting his hand on my cheek. This is the only time I wish he knew who I was. Maybe then I would be safe. But I know there's a lot of people in town who wouldn't recognize me. I've never been out and my father always kept me hidden for safety reasons.

''That's none of your business!'' I say. Trying to be confident. He laughs.

''I guess I have my answer.''

Sparks POV

''How about another round!'' I exclaim to the bar tender.

''Are you sure about that Sparky?'' He says teasing me. I glare at him and him and Otto laugh. I mock their laugh and spot something happening behind Otto.

At the corner of the bar, near the front door.

''Hey wait, hold on. Look over there.'' I say to Otto. He glances behind his shoulder and sees what I'm talking about.

''Looks like Oscar is up to trouble again. But stay out of it sparks. You know that it isn't a good idea to mess with him…'' Otto's words trail off as I focus on the scene in front of me. Oscar seems to be harassing a robot monkey. But I cant see their face, their back is towards me. I see them trembling from here. I see Oscar reach up to grab their face and the Monkey looks away harshly and I catch a glimpse of yellow fur.

''Sparks?'' I snap out of it and nod. ''Y-yea. Besides, we are here to party!'' Otto grins and we cheer.

As I take a drink of my beverage, I see Oscar grab the monkey with yellow fur by their arms and he tries to bring them close. I shoot up from where I'm sitting and know that I cant just sit here and watch him cause trouble.

Especially not in my part of town. ''Sparks?'' Otto looks at me and I know that he realized what I was about to do.

Nova's POV

''Let go of me!'' I yell as the brown monkey grabs me.

''You're a pretty one, I could get a good amount for you, ya know?'' He says. I can feel myself shaking and I'm frozen with fear. What am I suppose to do? No one seems to be helping and I'm scared to do anything else. He stares at me with hungry eyes.

''Ya know, that's not a way to charm a lady.'' I hear a voice say. I look towards where the voice was coming from and I see a red robot monkey with black eyes approach us. He's wearing some black jeans with a black collared tucked in shirt. He puts one hand in his pocket.

''How about we-'' He looks at me and our eyes meet. Mine still filled with fear, he looks back at the brown monkey again,

''Let the little lady go?'' he finishes

''This is none of your business!'' Says the brown monkey sharply. The red monkey chuckles.

''You don't want trouble here Oscar.'' Says the red monkey.

The brown monkey lets me go and I quickly run behind the red monkey.

''Only because I don't feel like it today sparky boy.'' He then spits on the floor and with the large monkey that was with him, he leaves.

I instantly let out a sigh of relief and calm down. I close my eyes and put my hands on my chest.

''Now what is a girl like you doing around here? Especially around this time and alone.'' I hear the stranger say. I look up at him and he's staring down at me. With a cold expression.

''I-I just wanted to-'' He gets closer.

''You're not from around here are you.'' He says to me.

I back away.

His scent was making me nervous but I didn't know why. I was still afraid and still very cautious. Maybe this was a mistake.

''W-Well, I am but….. I don't get out much.'' I say nervously.

''So you decided to come here?'' He says with a chuckle. I cross my arms.

''And maybe I did.'' I say. He puts one hand on his hip.

''And what were you looking for? Some danger? Because you found some little lady.'' I glare at him.

''I'm not little. And maybe I was looking for danger. He laughs and smirks at me.

''Not little?'' He smiles at me mockingly. He bends over slightly to reach me at my height. Which wasn't that much shorter then him. He was being dramatic.

''You seem tiny to me.'' I scoff and look away with my arms crossed. I then feel someone grab my hand suddenly. I look towards him and see that he is now holding my hand with his. He smirks at me and kisses my hand.

''And for danger, well you found it little lady. I'm Sparks.'' I look into his eyes and they look so dark and mysterious. Something about him, made me want to know more about him more, about who he was. I snatch my hand away and walk away.

''Hey! Where are you going?'' He follows me out the bar and I continue to walk.

''Don't follow me. Thank you but I don't need your help.'' I say.

''Seemed like you really did back there. And I didn't even get a thank you.''

I stop and turn around to look at him. ''Thank you.'' I say plainly. He smirks.

''That's better. But it isn't a smart idea to be walking around town at this time. You should grab a ride home. Or I can take you myself. How about it?"

''How do I know I can trust you?'' I say to him with a smirk.

''Well you don't have to. But you can always bet on it.'' He says with confidence. I then felt a rush. He holds his hand out to me and I feel my heart beat. Maybe this is the adventure I was searching for. Something that even if I knew was dangerous, I couldn't help but be attracted to. But I also felt oddly safe. And confident.

I take his hand. ''How?'' I ask.

He then begins walking and I follow. We past people smoking and many people standing around just chatting. I look around the town and realize that all the stands and people have gone home. Minus those partying that is.

''Here we are.'' Sparks lets go of my hand and I look towards him. He's standing next to a large black horse. I step back a little and he laughs.

''Don't tell me you're scared!'' He says. I look at the horse and it steps towards me.

''N-no, He's just so big.'' I say nervously. Sparks places his hand on the horses nose.

''His name is copper. And he's been with me ever since I was a kid. He's friendly. Don't be afraid.''

Sparks then grabs my hand and places it on the horse.

''See?'' He says with a smile. I smile and pet Copper. I giggle as he licks my face and I pet him more.

''Come on, tell me where you live, and ill take you.'' Says Sparks.

''On the horse!?'' I yelp.

''Duh!'' He says. One problem. I couldn't let sparks know who I was. He probably wouldn't speak to me anymore and this is probably my only chance of making a friend. He also cant take me anywhere near my home. I cant risk anyone seeing us, and let alone seeing me wander on and about. Sparks may not recognize me as the princess, but I know that won't be the case for everyone.

''Uhm, I actually don't want to go home yet.'' I say.

''I think it's a little too late for a lady like you to be wandering around.''

I look around.

''I want to explore more.'' I say. He blinks and stares at me. I wonder what he's thinking. Hopefully not about how silly I probably look.

''Well, if you're looking for an adventure, why don't I take you on one?'' He gets on Copper and holds his hand out towards me. I smile at him and grab onto his hand. He pulls me onto his horse and I yelp.

''Just hold on tight.'' he says. I wrap my hands around him and with a pull he has Copper trot forward. I grab onto my hoodie, making sure it stays on me as I feel the cool wind blow past my face. I smile at the lit town under the beautiful moon and stars. I glance at sparks and he looks at me with the corner of his eye. He smirks and I look back towards the town.

''Having fun princess?'' He says with a chuckle.

I freeze and stare at him.

''P-Princess?'' I ask. He laughs.

''Do you not like that nickname? You seem like one to me.'' He says.

''I'm no princess!'' I exclaim. He laughs some more.

''Alright, alright.'' Copper trots across the gravel and the sound is almost music to my ears. The relaxing feeling of a horse ride around the town. Something I could of only dreamed of. My father will kill me if he knew what I was up to. Let alone with who. With some random stranger who I just met today, but yet still accepted to have him take me to who knows where.

Copper then enters the woods and begins trotting somewhat uphill.

I look around at the dark forest and see sparks light a lantern. He holds it up and keeps one hand on the rope that's tied onto copper.

''Where are we going?'' I ask with a little shake to my voice. He glances at me.

''You'll see. I thought you wanted adventure? Are you taking it back?'' He says. I shake my head and hug him tighter.

The dark forest is still frightening. Even with the relaxing sounds of Copper's trotting. Copper then reaches a large water fall. I stare at it and my eyes widen.

''Wow…'' I whisper. In front of me is a huge waterfall with rocks all around it. The water was clear and the moon reflected onto it. Causing the water to look extra beautiful.

''This place is beautiful!'' I exclaim.

Sparks gets off of Copper, he helps me down and as I'm climbing down, my sweats get stuck and I trip and fall against Sparks. He steps back a bit but he regains his balance quickly to catch me with one arm. He smile smugly at me and I step back quickly,

''Sorry.'' I say looking away.

''No need.'' He says with a smirk. I walk towards the waterfall and I hear him follow.

''How long has this place been here?''

''For as long as I remember. I don't know who else knows about it but every time I come here, I'm the only one ever here. I've been coming here ever since I was a child.''

I look up at him.

''Who are you?'' I ask. He looks at me. Clearly taken aback by the question.

''Wo am i? I can ask the same about you princess. What were you doing all alone?'' He asks.

''I-I asked first.'' I say. He smirks.

''Okay… but I told you my name. I still don't know yours.''

''My name? I'm…'' I think. I cant tell him my real name. ''Myra!'' I say.

''Myra? Well… nice to meet you Myra.'' He says with a wink. I feel my face get hot and I quickly look away. I walk closer to the water and look up to the top of the water fall.

''Want to see the view from up there?''

''Is there a way?''

He nods and grabs my hand. Soon we are walking up some rocks and he holds my hand every step of the way. I trip a few times, going up the rocks but he holds my hand tightly and chuckles every time. I smile shyly and continue to follow him. The higher we climb, the more beautiful it gets. The moonlight really does something to the land. We then reach the top.

''We're here.''

I look forward. Just when I thought this place wouldn't surprise me more. It did.

I could see the entire town from here. Peoples balconies, their lights, their clothes hanging up to dry. All so pleasing to look at.

''I love looking at the town from here.'' He says as he steps next to me. I smile and continue to glance around. I then spot my home. My prison. I look at the huge home, gated. Sparks notices where I'm glancing at.

''Hmmm, how do you like that. What do you think those snobby royals are up to?'' He says with humor in his voice.

''Snobby?''

''Yea, snobby. Those selfish royals don't seem to really care about anyone but themselves.'' I stare at Sparks.

''Y-you…. Really think that?'' I ask.

He sits down.

''I hate them. Any royal.'' He throws a rock and I see coldness in his face.

''O-oh.'' I stay quiet. Does the whole town feel like this towards us? I know sometimes my Father isn't the best at ruling but…. Is he hurting people to the point where we are hated?

''Maybe… they aren't that bad-''

He laughs. ''Please! It would be best if they disappeared. The town would be better off.''

We stay quiet and I'm afraid to ask anymore questions.

I feel shameful. Now more then ever. I cant let Sparks know who I am. He'll hate me.

''Well Myra. I think it's time I take you home.'' He says.

''Yea, of course.''

We head back down and he helps me on the horse.

''Just tell me where.'' He says while holding the lantern.

I think. Where should I tell him to take me.

''Can you please just take me back to the bar we met at? I'll walk home there.''

''That's a dangerous part of town little lady. I don't think you would want that.''

''It's very close! I promise! I can get home safely.'' I exclaim. He sighs.

''alrighty then.''

He leads Copper back into town and we head back to the bar. Once we get there I get off and he does too.

''Thank you Sparks.'' I say.

''Just know princess. If you ever want an adventure, you know where to find me,'' he says with a wink. '' although, its probably best you don't come back around this part.'' he says with a chuckle.

I smile and nod. I turn my back towards him and start walking back towards where I came from. I make my way quickly into the woods and start running back to my home. I then finally get to the large wall.

Oh no, I didn't think about how I would get back in. I see most of the branches of the large trees, peep into the wall. I smile to myself. I have an idea.

''OW..!'' I whisper as I fall down on my butt into the garden. I climbed onto one of the large trees and onto the green house. And finally landing down into the garden.

''I'll have to work on that.'' I say to myself. I stand up and with a sigh, I quickly run towards my balcony, climbing the flower wall again to get inside. Once I'm finally inside. I breathe a sigh of relief and throw myself on my bed with a smile. I glance at the ceiling and I smile to myself.

''Sparks…'' I softly whisper to myself. I roll to my side and hug one of the stuffed animals laying on my bed. I close my eyes. Sparks… his name sounded so nice. He also saved me and helped me. Even if it was just for one night. The adventure I had…. Was perfect. I couldn't ask for anything better. I cuddle up to my bear some more, and with a sigh, I drift off to sleep.

Morning

''Nova!'' I woke up suddenly and hear my Nanny at my door. I forgot to unlock it.

I quickly spring up and open the door for her.

''I'm sorry! I-'' She glances a what I'm wearing and I realized that I never changed. I quickly jump towards the bathroom.

''Well I'm sure I should get into the shower! Don't want to keep my dad waiting!'' I say. I quickly shut the door and hop into the shower. While scrubbing my body I cant help but continue thinking about him. Sparks. I let the warm water run down my body and I sigh. I can't get him out of my mind and I don't know why. His eyes had me mesmerized. His scent.

I'm then snapped back into reality.

''I left your clothes on your bed Nova! Come downstairs as soon as your done!'' I then remember everything. The marriage! The announcement!

I turn the shower off and quickly run out the shower. I throw on some clothes and run downstairs. I have to stop the announcement! If my father announces it, then the whole town will know who I am for sure. I just want a bit more freedom. I want a bit more adventure. I want to see Sparks again.

I spot my father as I'm running down the stairs.

''DAD!'' he turns to look at me and I run towards him.

''What's wrong Nova?''

''Please dad, lets postpone the announcement! I-''

''No way! You're getting married and that's-'' I interrupt him.

''I will! I'll get married! But please, I just need a bit more time! I promise ill do as you say and I'll get married to William! But I just want a bit more time.'' He stares at me.

''You'll get married?'' He asks. I nod quickly and he sighs.

''I suppose if we postponed it wont hurt-'' I jump on him and hug him.

''Thank you! Thank you!'' I say happily.

''Only! Only if you promise not to refuse anymore. To just do what's best for you.''

I nod and he sighs again.

''Okay Nova. Ill postpone the announcement, We'll announce it in a month. That should give you enough time to adjust.'' I smile and he walks away. I give a happy sigh and twirl. Yay! I have more time. More time for adventure. I sit down on the couch and place my hand on my chest. I have to see Sparks again. He gives me the adventure I need. I have to see him again today. Tonight
