"What brings you here?" Yi Jung continued to question being annoyed with the uninvited guest, especially of who was related to Ga Eul. Yi Jung`s words, cause Jae Rim to face him.
"Right I almost forgot, here you go Ga Eul!" Jae Rim hands Ga Eul the bouquet of red roses.
"What is this for?" Ga Eul questioned as she smelled the roses and smiled.
"You still like red roses right? I knew it. You didn`t change at all Ga Eul…" Jae Rim again begins to gaze over to Ga Eul without saying another word. Ga Eul was caught off guard with the eye contact, she gained from Jae Rim`s shinning eyes. Yi Jung viewing everything became annoyed with their cheap acts, and just continued to eat. As they kept viewing into only each other`s eyes, Yi Jung was about to interrupt again, when a happy lady maybe in her late twenty, hopped her way happily towards Yi Jung.
"Yi Jung sir. How are you today? I am here to get you..." The young woman pauses her words and looks over to Ga Eul as she looks back. "Oh my! Is this her? She is the lucky one right? I can tell by looking at her, she is so beautiful, sir." Approaching Ga Eul, the young woman reaches out her hand, "Hi my name is Eun Jae. Mr. Yi Jung`s secretary." Ga Eul smiles back and before she could respond or introduce herself, Eun Jae gives Ga Eul an unexpected hug: it was uncomfortably tight.
"Eun Jae, we must be going, you can always come back and meet her properly. Even though there isn't much she has to talk about." Yi Jung stands up, fixing his tie smirks following his words. Ga Eul does not give full attention to Yi Jung`s words, but her smile did disappear, and that was enough for Jae Rim to understand everything.
"Sir, why are you so mean, to your wife?"
"I don`t have time to waste, to explain everything. Lets just go now." Yi Jung walks up to Eun Jae and waits for her to go along with him. But she refused to do so. Crossing her arms in front of her chest and making a pout.
"No. You have to say sorry to her first!"
"What happened to you all of a sudden? Yah, don`t forget you work for me!"
"So? I am also your friend right, and as a friend I am trying to help you do the right thing, so hurry up and say sorry!" Yi Jung pretends he didn`t hear anything. Ga Eul gets his signal.
"It`s okay, he doesn't need to say anything, I didn't mind to what he said..." Ga Eul tried to speak with a bold tone, but her voice trailed off, where the meaning behind her voice escaped everyone in the room except Jae Rim. Knowing her from childhood, he knew something was not right. He had to get Ga Eul to go alone with him so he could ask her, but how?
"You are lucky, to have Ga Eul as your wife, Mr. Yi Jung. Even with your hurtful words, she would still forgive you even if you don`t say sorry. Just because she is nice, it would be better if you stop now and don't take advantage of her."
"Oppa..." Ga Eul spoke with shock. She tugs on Jae Rim`s arm, knowing the consequence, and signals him not to say anything. He takes a deep sigh, and calms himself. This seemed to surprise Yi Jung, he thought to himself, how be it that Ga Eul actually had an affect on a guy like Jae Rim?
"I would advise you to know where you stand, or else you know things can go bad. I do not want to have to be fighting against a guy who is nothing more than a leech around a girl`s neck." Yi Jung faces his back towards Jae Rim and waited for him to act out, which his fist was ready to do, but Ga Eul`s hand on his arm stopped him. Jae Rim didn't care about anything this guy just said about him, but rather his insulting Ga Eul, that was something he couldn`t take easy. But due to Ga Eul`s plea, he let it pass.
"Ga Eul, lets go, I wanted to come take you to my office, remember, I promised you, you would be the first to see?" Ga Eul couldn`t help but put all her attention towards a little girl`s voice in her head: 'oppa, promise me, when you come back and become a doctor, you will not forget me. Also you have to show me your new doctor office, before anyone else. Promise?' 'Promise.'
The flashback faded away and the grin on Ga Eul`s face never disappeared. She was touched, by the fact that even from such a young age, Jae Rim remembered their promise.
"Lets go." Without giving her another moment to think, Jae Rim ignoring the other two figures in the hall, grabbed Ga Eul`s arm and pulled her along with him and she happily followed, for a moment she had forgotten the new life she had entered already.
Yi Jung gritted his teeth, to what he just witnessed, how dare a commoner like her not even bother to ask him if she could go, 'this is why I hate having any women in my life, all they know what to do is betray!'
Eun Jae`s voice, snaps Yi Jung out of his thoughts, "Sir are you okay?"
"Yeah of course, just thought about something I have to do in the office, shall we get going?" With his charming smile and Eun Jae`s shinning face, they walk out of the mansion and into Yi Jung`s favorite orange sports car.
Walking into his office, Yi Jung sits himself on his black leather chair and takes a deep sigh.
'How long would I have to keep this up? There is no way I am going to take her with me to New Caledonia. She would only make my vacation horrible. I have to make up and excuse not to go and then later just sneak out. Yeah I think I will do that. But how?' Thoughts, jumbled through his mind, then a knock on the glass door of his office was made, and he doesn't make any movement.
"Come in." He ordered.
"Sir, I have cleared your schedule for next month and now you are free to go on vacation." Eun Jae happily reported, but the upset face of her boss only made her worry.
"Sir, aren't you excited to go?"
"Of course I am, it's just that my mother wants me to take that girl with me. I mean I like taking girls with me, but she would just be a pain. I need come up with an excuse fast."
A sudden idea comes to Eun Jae`s head, as she happily jumps up and claps her hands together. She walks up to Yi Jung and leans down to Yi Jung`s ear and whispers, "you should just pretend to be sick, and then she would refuse on sending you or Ga Eul, and later you can go on your own." Yi Jung smiles to the idea, it was the best! Of course if he acted like he was sick, his mother would have to refuse. He was his mother after all. Yi Jung grabs Eun Jae by the waist, and puts her in his lap, and gives her a quick peck on the lips.
"You are the best you know that! I wish my mother made me marry you. You really are amazing."
Eun Jae, plays a smirk on her lips and unties Yi Jung`s tie and toss it onto the floor and opens the first two buttons of his white polo shirt, "shouldn`t I be rewarded for that?" Yi Jung clearly understood her attentions, and smiled back, but a devilish one, that was easily understood between the two of them. Yi Jung without another minute wasted, snacks his arm around Eun Jae`s waist, and pulls her body close, and their lips were interlocked, only parting for air.
"Oppa, this is amazing!" Ga Eul was very excited, and at no doubt dissatisfied with what she saw. Her enthusiasm and her bright smile, was what made Jae Rim`s world brighter, and that was what he missed most about her. It only hurt him more that him having her in front him, and yet he couldn`t hold her as he desired too. No matter what, he knew he would get his chance too one day, till then he had to wait.
"Ga Eul, I am glad you like it, of course I still have to decorate it, but as promised I wanted to show you soon as possible." Ga Eul turns around and faces Jae Rim.
"Oppa, can I help you decorate? Please..." Ga Eul`s lips made a pout and her dark brown eyes were too adorable as they were that she never had to even ask him, it was as he wanted to her to decorate with him, that he instantly agrees with her request.
"I have a few decorations in these boxes, that we could start with, if you want." Ga Eul lit up with joy and began to jumble over every box, which came in her sight.
"So, how was your wedding night?" An odd question left Jae Rim`s mouth which caused Ga Eul to pause to what she was doing.
"It... It...Was okay..." Ga Eul tried to lie but her voice trailing off was an easy give away.
"I knew it, he probably mistreated you and I can`t believe he actually was brave enough to kiss you like that and steal your first kiss, that jerk!" With his anger taking control, he smashes a vase he had removed from a box, on to the marble white floor of his office. This scared Ga Eul, she had never seen him this way, it was frightening. Looking over to Ga Eul and seeing her pale face because of his action, he instantly apologizes, and bends down to pick up the pieces, still angry he quickly tries to pick up the pieces. One slide through the skin of his index finger and it begins to drip blood. Ga Eul runs over to him and takes his finger and tries to stop the blood with her mouth. The hint of pain, continued, but Jae Rim gave no notice to the pain; rather his eyes were stuck upon Ga Eul. After being convinced the blood had stopped, Ga Eul looks up to Jae Rim, letting go of his finger.
She could still sense the anger on his face, and she knew she had to clear out the misunderstandings. "Oppa, he didn`t steal my first kiss." This brings shock to Jae Rim, "What? But everyone saw you two kiss..."
"That was fake, he only made it look that way. And as you asking about my wedding night, we agreed to some conditions and slept in different rooms, so nothing ever happened between us." Ga Eul`s eyes become watery and trying to avoid eye contact, she stands up and walks up to the wide glassed window in the office, and sheds a tear.
"You know oppa, sometimes I thought destiny, was someone who planned best for us. But I guess I am someone who is just meant to have a bad destiny to begin with. First my parents died when I was only 3, and my own relatives sent me to the orphanage so I wouldn`t have to be any trouble for them. I used to watch kids hug their parents, I saw them be loved, and I guess I was just never meant to be loved..." Those last words cause Ga Eul to cry a river. Jae Rim couldn`t see her this way, he approaches her and hugs her from behind.
"You are a great person you know that, you deserve all the love in the world, you don`t deserve that jerk, Ga Eul just come to me." For a nice one minute, the comfort of his words and hug helped Ga Eul be at ease, but then her mind taking over she recalls to where she is now. She wipes off her tears, and pushes off Jae Rim`s arms off her shoulders and walked away from him to the opposite side of the room.
"Oppa, I am sorry, but you know this is wrong, I hope you don`t repeat this again. I think it is best if I leave now." Jae Rim`s heart broke to her words, but dared not be weak just yet, he continues to pick up the pieces of the vase, without making contact. With a forced smile and heavy voice Jae Rim tries to make Ga Eul stay, even if it was only for a while longer.
"You are right, I am sorry. I will be careful from now on. Please do not leave yet."
"I will only stay and help for a while longer, then I think it is best if I leave." Ga Eul responded, while facing Jae Rim, he looked up to her and smiled back, "deal."
Chilly afternoon hit the day and after the fresh air of the office and the refreshing moment with Eun Jae, Yi Jung decides to head home and put his plan to action. But entering the mansion, Yi Jung`s eyes were left widened. "Mother, what is this?"
"I have packed your and Ga Eul`s suitcase, knowing how stubborn you are I knew you wouldn`t listen the easy way, so I have your things ready to go. Now all we need is Ga Eul."
"Yeah whatever, have fun waiting for her, I don`t feel well, I am going to bed." Yi Jung begins to walk up the stairs followed by fake coughing.
"Now boys!" Mrs. So`s two word command, made 2 strong body guards run up to Yi Jung and pick him up by his arms and put him outside the mansion and closed the doors, instantly.
"Yah! What is going on?"
"I think it will be more fun if you go get Ga Eul, your flight leaves in 3 hours, your choice, if you want to come back in." Mrs. So replied with a chuckle to her evil plan.
Yi Jung rolls his eyes, and scoffs to his mother`s request. "I will just have one of my friends pick me up and I will stay over at their house, I even told you that I was getting sick and you don`t even care. Watch me, I won`t be coming back either!" Yi Jung tries to win over what his mother was doing, but Mrs. So knew her son very well.
"Good luck finding them, they have already a boarded the plan to New Caledonia, and they will meet you there tomorrow. Also as for your sickness, your not a little baby anymore, if you're sick, go to your wife and complain, I have already taken care of you too many times." Mrs. So continues to smile and laugh to herself behind the closed door of the mansion.
"Fine, then I will just stay here till you actually return to being a mother!" Yi Jung sits himself on the doorsteps and stays put, he was not ready to loose to his mother.
"Okay, fine by me, I will just have someone take Ga Eul to New Caledonia. You can stay out here and wait for a month, because till then the doors to this mansion are closed for you. 'Yawn' Okay then have a good sleep, I am going to bed." Yi Jung hears footsteps fade away.
"Mother, you can not do this with me. Mother? Mother?" But no other word responded to Yi Jung. This threw him off the edge. Then waiting another minute, with the wind blowing hard against his face and chest, Yi Jung had enough; he digs out his phone and makes a call.
"Hello. I need for you to track down a person and their exact location for me right now and let me know right away and I mean right away. If you are a minute late I will have your company shut down. Do you understand?"
"Yes sir, do not worry, we are finding this person`s location right now. Yes, here we go, Mr. Song Jae Rim, is in a clinical office right now. Here is the exact location you will find him.
Getting what he needs, Yi Jung hopes into his car and drives off.
