Yi Jung is the first to step out of the plane, and Ga Eul followed behind.
"Omo! So beautiful!" Ga Eul couldn't help but admire her surroundings. Yi Jung ignores her comment and sighs deeply. Ga Eul continues to follow Yi Jung with a grin into a black car, and sat in the back seat next to him. The driver begins to drive off to their destination. Yi Jung couldn't help but capture a few glances of Ga Eul. She continued to look out the window, being mesmerized with every view that came to sight. 'She is so easily impressed.' Yi Jung thought to himself. The drive had remained silent, and that is just the way Yi Jung wanted it right now.
After 20 minutes of silence, the car stops. Yi Jung steps out as the driver opened the door for him and so did Ga Eul. Yi Jung began to walk over to a group that was chitchatting at a table, with a big umbrella opened completely to protect them from the sun. Ga Eul stood right behind Yi Jung, almost as a shadow.
"Yo! Everyone look Yi Jung is here!" Woo Bin was the first to notice them coming; Woo Bin walked up to Yi Jung and hugged him. Woo Bin`s eyes immediately widen as he moves back.
"What is she doing here?" Yi Jung takes a deep sigh, "my mother made me bring her along! Sigh... She can be very annoying sometimes."
"Yah! How dare you speak like that about your mother?" Ga Eul bursted with anger and looked at Yi Jung. He did not answer, and just walked away to meet the rest of the group.
"And what about you! What are you doing here?" Ga Eul faced Woo Bin and asked with the same expressions only doubled.
"Yah, how dare you ask me that question? In the hospital you got your way and threw me out because you were in charge, but I am one of the owners of this island, better know where you stand or you have no idea what I do to girls like you!" Woo Bin replied with the same tone as he looked upon Ga Eul.
Ga Eul scoffed upon hearing his words, for a quick second she shifts her eyes to the side and then back at Woo Bin, "yah, I think the last time you didn't really understand what I meant to tell you! You still seem to misunderstand who I am…" Ga Eul walks closer to Woo Bin and grabs the collar of his pink cotton shirt. "I am not scared of guys like you! Guys like you disgust me! So better not try any of your funny acts because I won't be sorry what happens to you!" With that Ga Eul lets go of Woo Bin`s collar and walks up to the group, carrying a smirk. Woo Bin stood shocked, he grinds his teeth, and marches back to the table, which was a mile away, so hopefully no one witnessed him being humiliated. It was definitely going to be a very long vacation.
"Ooo! Sunbae, this is Ga Eul right!" Jan Di stands up and looks at Ga Eul with a smile. Yi Jung carried a straight face of annoyance and only nodded with confirmation.
"Hi, my name is Guem Jan Di, I am so glad there is another girl here. We will have so much fun. Would you like to be friends?" Jan Di stretches out her hands and Ga Eul shakes her hand with a grin.
"Yah! Do you have to be friends with every stranger?" Jun Pyo yelled; Jan Di ignored his comment.
"Let me introduce you to everyone. Here is that jerk that just spoke, Gu Jun Pyo." Ga Eul looks his way and bows to him, but Jun Pyo looks away. "He can be very arrogant, but don`t mind him. He is like that to everyone." Jan Di whispered into Ga Eul`s ear and she made an "o" with her lips and nodded.
"Here is Yoon Ji Hoo sunbae." Ga Eul looks at a figure, which almost reflected as an angel, being dressed in all white, even his net hat and shoes were white. Ga Eul does the same as with Jun Pyo and smiles and surprisingly Ji Hoo smiled back to Ga Eul.
"That guy over there with the two girls is Song Woo Bin, also known as the Don Juan." Ga Eul only made a quick glance over to the guy playing around with two girls in bikinis. 'Gosh this guy never stops; even here he acts the same. It was a good thing I kicked him out of the hospital!'
"And this, well you should know him well" Jan Di giggled as she pointed at Yi Jung, who had no interest whatsoever.
Time went on, and everyone engaged in some friendly conversations. Yi Jung on the other hand, kept looking at his watch. As he looked up, his lips crept upwards. Woo Bin walked over to the table with the same two girls. Jan Di and Ga Eul both felt a bit awkward with the way the two girls in the bikinis were so open in public. Shrugging their shoulders, Ga Eul and Jan Di look at each other and giggle, having the same awkward thoughts.
"Yi Jung bro, I didn't invite these two sexy models, both for me, want me to lend you one?" Woo Bin spoke towards his friend, as he put one of each of his arms around the shoulder of the models. Yi Jung shook his head.
"No thanks man, I got my girl." Yi Jung shifts his view towards Ga Eul, and flashes his charming smile, right after he points his finger towards Ga Eul as well. Ga Eul nervously looks to her sides, why was he talking about her like that. Yi Jung stands up and walks in Ga Eul`s direction, her heart starts beating so fast not knowing what Yi Jung`s actions were. But Yi Jung walks past where Ga Eul sat and went to meet the girl who was coming up behind with a bag and suitcase rolling along with her.
Ga Eul turns around, "Eun Jae unnie…?" Ga Eul mumbles as she sees Yi Jung hug Eun Jae. Without another thought Ga Eul gets up from her seat, and walks away. Jan Di wanted to go after her, but the hand of Ji Hoo stopped her, "I think it is best if she is not here at the moment. Let her be, this will only help her." Ji Hoo spoke as he watched Yi Jung and Eun Jae walk back to the table hand in hand, and excessively smiling. Ji Hoo did not approve of Yi Jung bringing along Eun Jae, even though he did not know Ga Eul at all, still he knew Yi Jung should not treat her like this.
Ga Eul stood far away from the table; she was still in their view, but far enough that she only heard mumbles coming from them. She dared not look back. Neither was she expecting anyone to come for her. A few tears left her eyes as she closed them shut, and wished deeply that the last two months of her life were just a nightmare. 'No! Ga Eul you cannot cry! You have to be strong! Never give up!' She heard her own thoughts echo in her head, and instantly she opens her eyes and kept her head high as she wiped away her tears. A hand was placed on her shoulder, and she turned around.
"Oh, Jan Di unnie...Sorry I just needed some fresh air. I was getting frustrated with the entire new atmosphere and the new people. Sorry I will get used to it." Ga Eul smiled and Jan Di mirrored her expressions.
"One, you don`t need to call me unnie, we are the same age and as friends, I don`t like so much formalities. Two, I am really happy to know that you are being so strong. I am sure one day Yi Jung Sunbae will realize what an awesome wife he has." Jan Di gives Ga Eul a quick hug. As she pulls out of the hug, Ga Eul can`t thank Jan Di enough for being so kind and caring. She could sense a strong friendship in the future with Jan Di.
"Never give up. Fighting!" Jan Di spoke as she made a fist and so did Ga Eul. "Fighting!"
"We are going for a walk, let's go!" Jan Di pulled Ga Eul with her and as they reached the table, everyone got up and began to walk.
Ga Eul stood behind the group, engraving every moment ahead of her. She giggled to herself as she saw Jan Di and Jun Pyo get into an unreasonable fight and neither one giving in. Yi Jung and Woo Bin saying stuff to their 'girls' which Ga Eul had no interest in.
"I am glad to see you are taking this well." Ga Eul jumped a little from where she walked, and looked to her side, "Ji Hoo Sunbae, you scared me." Ji Hoo smiled, "sorry, I didn`t mean too. I just thought I should congratulate you for being so strong."
"Thank you Sunbae, but I honestly don`t have any feelings towards Yi Jung and I know he doesn`t either an-"
"So how come you were upset when you saw Yi Jung hug Eun Jae?" Ji Hoo questioned cutting off Ga Eul, but there was no answer from her. Ji Hoo continued to walk by Ga Eul, behind the group. Finally Ga Eul heaves a sigh and looks up to Ji Hoo.
"Maybe because, at that moment I had some thought that he really did mean me but then seeing it was a lie, is what hurt a little." Ga Eul shifts her view to the grass they walked upon. "I guess me and you are alike then…" Ji Hoo`s words caused Ga Eul to look back up to him with her eyes narrowed and head slightly tilted.
"We keep quiet and yet another might make us feel uncomfortable or upset, we tend to push our feelings aside for others happiness. I heard you married Yi Jung to fulfill Mrs. So`s wish because she was sick, right?" Ga Eul nodded with confirmation.
"See, even though you have the right to be with whom you like, just for Mrs. So`s happiness you bet in your whole life."
"Sunbae, who are you trying to risk your feelings for, to keep them happy?" Ji Hoo didn`t answer, he pressed his lips together and grinned as he shuffled up Ga Eul`s hair, "you ask too many questions." Ga Eul pouted and tried her best to fix her hair.
"Yah Ji Hoo walk faster, come here and tell Jan Di I am right, now!" Jun Pyo yelled. Ji Hoo took a deep sigh and ran up to where Jan Di and Jun Pyo were. Ga Eul on the other hand, shifted her view to a beautiful blue butterfly. She begins to chase after it.
"Ga Eul, don`t go there, we have to stop her!" Jan Di yelled. But Jun Pyo grabbed her hand from moving. "Yah! What is that matter with you, let her go. We are not here to babysit anyone!" With Jun Pyo`s loud yelling, Yi Jung and Woo Bin stopped and looked back, with confusion.
"Yo! Whats up! Why did you guys stop walking?" Woo Bin questioned. Yi Jung had the same question written on his face. Jan Di runs up to Yi Jung with a worried look, "Sunbae, Ga Eul has gone into that jungle over there."
"So?" Yi Jung rolled his eyes as he replied, not caring at all what happened.
"Isn`t there a alligator swamp there?" This time Ji Hoo cut in being concerned. Woo Bin looked at Yi Jung also asking what to do, and so did the others. All eyes were on Yi Jung and because of Ga Eul.
"Yah! Stop looking at me like that. I am sure there is no such thing here on this island. I am not going to go after her, she isn`t a little girl, she will find her way back." With that Yi Jung puts his arm around Eun Jae`s shoulder and they begin to continue their walk. Jan Di and Ji Hoo look at each other concerned. Jun Pyo walks behind them and pushes their backs to make them walk, hoping everything would be okay, Jan Di and Ji Hoo continue to follow the rest as Jun Pyo quickly took the lead.
Ga Eul continues to chase after the blue butterfly, and didn`t notice she had run into a jungle covered with tall trees, where anyone could easily be lost. Then tripping over a log, Ga Eul falls into a big puddle containing wooden plants, and some sticky thick substance.
"Eww… Ugh! Great I am all covered with dirt and what is all this sticky stuff?" Ga Eul`s loud cursing seemed to have alarmed something.
SPLASH! Ga Eul heard something dive into the wet place she was in. She tries to move out, trying to escape, but the thick substance was so strong she couldn't move. She tried to pull herself out from the long branches that surrounded her but no use, she was not strong enough. Then looking to her left, she saw black eyes looking at her. The green-scaled alligator made its way to Ga Eul.
"Ahhh!" Ga Eul was shocked, she tried to escape faster but no use, and the alligator came closer and closer. Ga Eul continued to scream louder and louder, but no one came for her. Just like what happened when she was little.
With shock and fear reaching to an extent high level, and recalling old events, Ga Eul began to faint, "someone... please…" Ga Eul mumbled before she completely fell unconscious and the alligator continued to come for Ga Eul.
Two boots walked up to where Ga Eul`s unconscious body was. The alligator was almost reaching her, luckily her body was closer to the land and not too far away or deep, the guy quickly tried to scoop up Ga Eul`s body with all his strength, as the alligator was only a few inches away from her, opening his mouth, ready to bite. The guy was successful and scooped up Ga Eul`s body just in time, and ran away with her in his arms, in a bridal style, away from the alligator and out of the jungle.
A/N: Well what did you guys think? I am sorry for the late update, I have been a bit busy, but I promise to try to update quicker from now on. So I just wanted to let you guys know this will not be a Ji Hoo liking Ga Eul fanfic at all, I am just trying to show scenes of how everyone will start to open up to Ga Eul as a good friend and maybe a sister? Who knows right? So, Ji Hoo being so kind, that is why I made him be the first to actually talk to Ga Eul and give her words of encouragement. There is no preview chapter, because I have kind of already given one for the upcoming chapter in my previous chapters. Also yes there is a swamp in New Caledonia, sure there might not be any alligators there, but sometimes you have to break rules to make things interesting, right? :)
