Jan Di closes the door behind her as she completed what she needed to do. She looks at Jae Rim as he makes eye contact with her. "She is resting, I am sure she will wake up soon." Jan Di smiled trying to cheer him up but no use, Jae Rim was too worried to even smile.

"We should leave her alone and let her rest." With that Jan Di slowly pulled Jae Rim with her outside.

Night had fallen and there was still no response from Ga Eul. Jae Rim continued to worry as he rubbed his hands together repeatedly. Ji Hoo and Jan Di are the first ones to sit on each of his side near the table they sat by earlier. Having nothing else to keep him busy, and with Eun Jae gone off to sleep, Yi Jung walked to the same table and took the seat in front of Jae Rim. Jun Pyo and Woo Bin sat on each side of Yi Jung. Silence had made the moment awkward.

"So how come you are here?" Ji Hoo asked with his soft voice, Jae Rim continued to look at his hands as he replied, "I followed Ga Eul and Yi Jung as they left my clinic. I just didn't trust him taking Ga Eul anywhere. So when I saw Yi Jung take Ga Eul to New Caledonia, I instantly bought a ticket too and took the next plane here."

"Stalker much…" Yi Jung smirked as he folded his arms in front of his chest. Jae Rim looked up and shot Yi Jung death glares. "Well I am glad I did follow you, otherwise I would have lost Ga Eul forever and I would have never forgiven you for that!"

"But how come Ga Eul fainted, I mean she is a really strong girl…" Jan Di`s voice trailed off as she ended her sentence. This made Jae Rim look back down upon his hands, as he recalled Ga Eul`s past.

"Yes, but when the incident is related to trauma from the past, this kind of reaction is expected…"

"What kind of trauma? What happened?" Ji Hoo questioned.

Jae Rim inhaled deeply and then exhaled as he opened his mouth to speak, " Ga Eul was only 10 years of age, when her parents died in a car accident. She blames herself even today, that it was her fault, that her parents died in that accident. She says if only she never hid behind that building, maybe she could have done something, rather than just watch..." This seemed to catch Ji Hoo`s attention as he narrowed his brows to what he heard. Jae Rim continued.

"Truth is..."

[Flashback] [The bolded dialogues are when someone speaks to Jae Rim as he is telling the story.]

Ga Eul`s father was an FBI agent, and one night when Ga Eul and her parents were out on a nice long drive, one of the mafia leader's car came crashing towards their car from the front and then it disappeared. Her parents were injured deep enough for blood to start flowing out their bodies from various places, Ga Eul received few scratches. Then quickly her father with all his strength unbuckled his belt and pulled Ga Eul into his lap. He kicked his door open, and told Ga Eul to run away. She refused, and tried to pull her father out as well as her mother, but then her father continued to push her out of the car, "Ga Eul you are daddy's brave girl, right? Now go hide behind that building and umma and appa will be there soon. Okay? Now go!"

Ga Eul did as her father said and hid behind a tall building. She instantly looks back and witnesses the same car crashing into her parent`s car again, and she watched the car roll over and over. The car stopped rolling, and it remained flipped over. The wheels still spinning in air, the cars roof crashed to the ground. Few men emerged from the car and went over to the car they had just hit, they bend down and look inside, satisfied they smile and head back into their car and drive off. Soon as the car was out of sight, Ga Eul ran to her parents.

"Appa! Umma! Wake up!" No response was given to the young girl. Tears left her eyes and her crying screams were so loud as if she was yelling into a megaphone. A weak hand reached for Ga Eul`s cheek, causing Ga Eul to instantly looks up.

"Appa!"

"Ga Eul...my brave girl. I. …" Her father tried his best to say his last few words he could.

"No appa, it is not your fault, come on now, we have to go." Ga Eul tried to pull her father with her, but her small fragile body was to weak to pull out the body crushed into the car.

With the tiniest amount of strength left,her father moves his hand away from Ga Eul`s cheek and places it on his neck and pulls something off, enclosing it in his hand. He reaches out that same hand to Ga Eul, "Ga Eul..." His hand collapses on the shattered pieces of glass next to him and no more movement was made.

"Appa... Appa! Appa!" All she received was silence and the dead body of her father and mother. That night no wolves howled; the crickets were no match to compete with the sobering cries of the young girl.

After that incident Ga Eul was taken into the orphan home, she never talked to anyone, she never even smiled."

"Was she never adopted?" Jan Di asked, and Jae Rim nodded his head and continued with his story.

"She was adopted by a rich family who had no kids, but that was the biggest mistake ever. In the beginning everything was well, she was cared for and loved. But just as Ga Eul was starting to find hope in life, things turned for the worst. Her adopted father's business had crashed and he would always come home drunk and with some random girl from the bar with him. Ga Eul`s adopted mother would cry all the time and tried to kill herself. Whenever Ga Eul would try to comfort her adopted mother, she would always blame Ga Eul for their bad luck and Ga Eul would be punished for it, by her adopted mother at all times. All her anger would be placed on Ga Eul. As for her adopted father, whenever he came home drunk without any woman with him, all he would do is beat up Ga Eul for nothing. Ga Eul never said anything because, how could she.

Then thankfully, one of the servants thought it was enough and that Ga Eul`s adopted parents were doing the worst and Ga Eul didn't deserve it. So one night, she carefully packed Ga Eul's few clothes she had and took Ga Eul with her, and left her outside a foster home; placed a kiss on her head, gave her some blessings and left. The next morning she was taken in by the warden. They were really gentle with Ga Eul, and cared for her a lot. Also her scars had disappeared. That was when the warden thought was the best time to help Ga Eul become more outgoing. Till that day Ga Eul started going to school."

"Well that is good, she found someone who actually cared for and sent her to school." Jan Di interrupted again with her comment. Jae Rim smirked and continued.

"She never really talked to anyone but the teachers. She didn't trust being around people anymore, but she was still very eager to learn, she wanted to become someone in this world, she wanted to raise her father`s name that others tried to bury."

Jae Rim sighed deeply, "but then...that dream of hers was crushed to pieces."

"Ga Eul and her whole class went on a field trip to the zoo. The day was going well, until the other kids in her classes decided to play a trick on her. They stopped by an alligator seeing. The alligator and its habitat was placed below. The kids stood behind railing and beneath the railings was the alligators swamp. The teacher had stepped away to talk to one of the zoo keeper and ask some questions, just then all the kids picked Ga Eul up and threw her into the swamp. She tried to run away but she was stuck, the alligator was making its way to Ga Eul, she kept screaming and yelling but no one came. She held on tight to the pendant around her neck. She was losing hope again when quickly a zookeeper of that area, grabbed her out of the swap just as the alligator was about to take a bite of her and ran out. It was a close call, but it left Ga Eul traumatized for ever. Ga Eul was safe, but she continued to shiver in fear. After that incident Ga Eul never wanted to go to school again. She had lost all her trust in people after that. She tried to hold up tight, but after all that happened to her, she had enough. The warden of the foster house felt sad after hearing about the incident and Ga Eul`s behavior as of that day. She decides to send Ga Eul back to the orphanage, hoping that a nice family could adopt her. But Ga Eul was not ready to go anywhere. She went to orphanage but she lived there as half dead child. She only ate when she was told to and slept whenever she was able to. But nothing more than that came from Ga Eul."

[End of Flashback]

"Oh my...I can't believe all that happened to Ga Eul..." Jan Di spoke but then no other words left her mouth, she was still shocked.

"Then how was she able to be the kind and sweet smiling person she is today. Was she finally adopted into a nice family? I mean I am still shocked that this is the same Ga Eul…"Ji Hoo questioned.

The other side of the table, all three of the guys had no words, but only carried a worried look.

"But I am still really confused, after all this happened, did Ga Eul have no other relatives? Anyone who would take her in?" Surprisingly this question came from Woo Bin.

"As far as I have heard, she did maybe have an older brother, but he left the family when Ga Eul was only 5 years of age. They even did a whole investigation, and found someone who was related to Ga Eul somehow, but the guy declined to recognize Ga Eul…" Jae Rim continued to answer questions. He didn't mind having to answer so much, the more he thought they knew, the more they would care for Ga Eul, like he does, but his reason are much more than just her past.

"But why…"

"Oh all of you are here still, I think everyone had enough for today, lets go to bed." Soon as Yi Jung was about to ask something, Eun Jae emerged out of her room towards the group with a shawl around her shoulders. "Come on, tomorrow we are going sight seeing right? Get up now." Eun Jae smiled over the group and they smiled back and got up from their seat. Not matter how sweet Eun Jae looked to everyone, Jae Rim had a bad feeling towards her. When she looked at him and smiled, Jae Rim got up instantly and walked away, heading into his room and slammed the door shut. After that everyone decided to call it a day. Everyone except Eun Jae exchanged glances of confusion, before leaving. But they had to put everything to the side for now, and let everything work its way up.

Everyone headed to their rooms. Yi Jung and Eun Jae walked together; as they had decided to share a room, "yeah let me borrow that shawl too." Yi Jung joked, as he reached for the shawl, but before he could even place a finger on it, Eun Jae, spat away his hand and covered herself tightly as she started to run to their room, Yi Jung took this as a little joke and ran after her.

A/N: Yes, so that is our poor Ga Eul`s past. Tough right? I know, but let`s hope she can continue to put up with everything, stay strong till the end right? :) Please do let me know what you thought about this chapter! :) I didn't add any preview for this chapter, because I have given it away already in previous chapters. I also tried not to go too detailed into Ga Eul's past, I only said enough that was needed. I hope everyone understands.
