Heavy. She felt the weight crushing around her neck. She was frozen, unable to scream or even breathe.

"Dahye. Did you really think I would simply disappear? How Naive."

Author's Note

I hate author's notes and always skip through them unless it's an author I really admire. And more often than not, it's not til after I've finished the book. So I don't blame anyone for seeing this and saying tl;dr.

When I first started, I hadn't taken on the journey of writing a dense chapters length story before. It was a hell of a learning curve too. Just like Gado's artistry and skill evolved between "White Angels Have No Wings" to "White Angels Get No Rest", my writing also changed. I'm also older now and I guess my ability to conceptualize these characters to paper also matured. That's why it took as long as it did. And why there are so many chapters already done or half edited... of two different stories I might add. It may come off as a lame excuse, but it's the truth.

I tap in and out every once in a while to work on these fics. It's probably going to take a while to finish. And given the nature of the story and the very fact that it's a fan fiction, literally not a single person in my life knows about this side hobby. So I don't have anyone who can read through stuff for me. Sexual assault isn't something you just openly admit to writing about. Hell, it's not even an easy thing to navigate outside of a standalone short story.

What's prompting me to start putting these chapters out is the release of Gado's second collection of work to the series. I spent the better part of at least three years inside the heads of these two strong characters and it was remarkable how much I was able to understand their actions on a deeper level, even at some points being able to predict their movements. That's how you know that Gado is not only a remarkable artist (check out their blog when you get a chance, unfortunately FF won't allow posting urls), but a prolific story teller in their own right.

** DISCLAIMERS **

Enthusiastic consent always, boys and girls.

That said, this is the only time I will place a disclaimer here stating that this is a fictional story that deals with the theme of sexual assault and non consent. This has to be read with that trigger warning and forethought in mind. I don't condone the actions of these characters, as I would assume the same goes for the original author of the story this is based from.

The second disclaimer is to state that I don't own the intellectual properties of Gado. I don't intend to profit from it. I have full respect for the author and strongly encourage all readers to support the artist by paying for their series on Lezhin and if you wish to directly give support through their artist profiles.
