Woo Bin and Jae Rim pause their steps at the front doors of the airport, grabbing his suitcase, Jae Rim smiles at Woo Bin and begins to walk away.
"Wait!"
"Hmm…?"
"What is your mission? If you at all consider me as a friend, you have to tell me, what are you upto? Why are you going back?" Woo Bin crossed his arms across his chest.
"I have some things to take care of."
"What things? How can I trust someone like you who keeps so many secrets to be protecting my sister?"
Jae Rim smirked to himself as he looked up to Woo Bin, "now you consider her your sister? Where were you when you left her at the orphanage?" Woo Bin tightens his fist, but takes no action as Jae Rim begins to walk past him, but pauses, "if Ga Eul has been protected till now and is happy, then you should trust me to keep her this way till the end." With that Jae Rim continued his way inside the airport. Woo Bin took another good look at Jae Rim, "I have to find out what he is up to." With that Woo Bin walked back to the cabin.
Jae Rim turned around and looked at the glass doors of the airport, and witnessed Woo Bin leave. Jae Rim pulls out his phone and hits a few keys as he brings it to his ear. "Yeah. I am coming back. Make sure everything is set there. Okay see you." Pushing his phone back into his pocket, Jae Rim continued on inside carrying a smirk.
"What in the world is going on here?" Woo Bin questioned soon as he entered the cabin that was decorated with hearts, balloons, confetti, and the colors pink and red everywhere.
"Jun Pyo wants to have a Valentine party..." Ji Hoo replied as he walked up to Woo Bin.
"Really? When was he ever interested in that?"
"One name, Jan Di." Woo Bin smirked hearing that from Ji Hoo. With a smile both men walk into the living room, where everyone else was gathered.
"Finally you are here!" Jun Pyo stands up as if he was an announcer; he takes a piece of paper and rolls it up as a microphone, "welcome everyone! Thank you all for coming to this year's Valentine party!" Woo Bin sat down on the couch next to Yi Jung.
"You think he is overdoing it a bit too much?" Woo Bin questioned.
"A bit? He has gone completely overboard." Yi Jung replied in annoyance of watching such a cold-hearted man act like an idiot and for whom? A girl.
"I have many games planned for everyone! But first we will pick our roles. Ji Hoo will be our host, he will announce all the games and as he is the best to be honest on who wins." Jun Pyo looks over to Ji Hoo with a smile, which Ji Hoo mimics as if pointing out the fact that he would have to do as told having no way out.
"Now for our pairs. Jan Di and Jun Pyo will be one pair." Jun Pyo looks over to Jan Di and smiles, but Jan Di rolls her eyes and looks away, yet Jun Pyo still found her actions to be cute and smiled as he continued. "Yi Jung and Ga Eul will be another pair." Ga Eul looks over to Yi Jung and he looks back at her, as their eyes meet, Ga Eul smiles to Yi Jung, but he looks away without any response, Ga Eul narrowed her brows and looked away.
"And our third pair will be…" Jun Pyo paused for a moment as he smirked to himself, and looks at Woo Bin, "Woo Bin and Jae Kyung!" Woo Bin's eyes are widened as he looked over to the direction Jun Pyo pointed to. There by the walkway stood a figure, dressed in skinny jeans, leather brown jacket that layered a white blouse and brown shades that stood on her nose.
"Hello everyone!"
"Jae Kyung unnie!" Jan Di ran up to Jae Kyung and gave her a big hug. "How are you Jan Di?"
"I am good unnie. How about yourself? What brings you here?"
"Soon as Jun Pyo informed me of this party, there was no way I was going to miss it, afterall Jun Pyo is the planner, this ought to be fun! So I took my private plan here soon as possible." Jae Kyung leaned next to Jan Di's ear and whispered, "plus I needed a place to hide for a few weeks, because my parents want me to marry some guy and I am totally against it." Both girls giggle to each other.
"Oh unnie, let me introduce you to Ga Eul." Jan Di pulled Jae Kyung with her to where Ga Eul sat. "This is Yi Jung's wife Chu- I mean So Ga Eul!" Ga Eul stood up with a smile and bowed. Jae Kyung removed here shades and tugged them into her purse.
"My you sure are a pearl from the deep ocean." Jae Kyung looks at Yi Jung, "great choice."
Yi Jung rolled his eyes as he replied, "not my choice, I was forced into this." Ga Eul couldn't come to understand what was wrong with Yi Jung, just last night he was apologizing to her like no tomorrow and now he retreated to his same cold self.
"I knew it. You don't have good choice in women anyways, considering your track records."
"Yah! What does that mean?" Yi Jung yelped in anger, yet in response he received laughter from the entire group.
"Well it is really nice to meet you Ga Eul." Jae Kyung smiled at Ga Eul, and then walked up to Woo Bin, "hello Woo Bin. How are you?"
"Like you care. Couldn't find anything to do that you had to come here and torture me?" Woo Bin shoved his hands inside his pockets, as he shifted his view to the side. Jae Kyung smirked while tiptoeing a little and messed up Woo Bin's hair. "I missed you too."
"Yah! Stop touching my hair!" Woo Bin pushes away Jae Kyung's hands as he straightens himself and fixes his hair.
"So let's get started!" Jae Kyung announced with joy.
"Unnie don't you want to go freshen up? You must be tired." Jan Di requested, but in response she received a shaken head, "nah, I am all worked up and ready for the games!"
Jun Pyo instructs everyone to stand in a line. "Jun Pyo can you calm down, you act as if we are on TV and there is an audience. It is just us, stop making things so perfect!" Woo Bin complained as he was being pushed to stand still next to Jae Kyung. Jun Pyo responded as he threw his famous death glares at Woo Bin, which were enough to give Woo Bin goosebumps and to keep his mouth shut for further questions. Jun Pyo ran over to Jan Di and stood next to her in the same line he formatted. Ji Hoo cleared his throat as he walked in front of the line like a contest announcer. Fumbling through Jun Pyo's given cards, finally finding the right one, Ji Hoo smiles and looks up to everyone.
"For the first game, you will be playing 'Tie the Ribbon' there have been ribbon pieces spread out this room and you have to work together and find as many pieces as possible and tie them together, and in the end the team with the longest ribbon will win this round." As Ji Hoo finished reading the card, everyone fidgeted. Jun Pyo grabbed Jan Di's hand and she looked up to his smiling face causing her to smile as well and enclose her fingers around his knuckles.
"Wait if Jun Pyo is the one who spread out the ribbon pieces how is that fair? He will find all of them?" Yi Jung questioned.
"Don't worry I was the one who spread out the ribbon pieces while Jun Pyo had you guys distracted outside before he brought you inside to form a line." Ji Hoo respond causing Yi Jung to become silent.
"3...2...1! Start!" Everyone ran around like little ants searching for food, Jun Pyo and Jan Di were the ones who stayed calm as they look for the pieces and as soon as they found one they would tell each other and first tie together the pieces they found and then move on.
Ga Eul walked up behind Yi Jung as he looked around with a handful of ribbon pieces in his hand.
"Yi Jung we are supposed to tie them up as well. If you keep them like that you will waste time and we will lose." Ga Eul explained placing her hands on hips. Without making any eye contact, Yi Jung spoke with a cold tone, "don't worry, I will tie them up once I find a few more. You can just stay there, I will lead us to victory."
"Yah! We are supposed to be working together!"
"There is no and never will be a 'we,' so let's drop that!" Yi Jung continued looking for more pieces, Ga Eul became furious, and retreated to her position in line, without even attempting to find one piece of ribbon.
"10...9...8...7…" Ji Hoo began to count down as he looked at his Rolex white watch.
"Yah Woo Bin why aren't you helping me look?" Jae Kyung spoke in frustration as she threw the couch pillows in the air, but no luck, she had only found one ribbon.
"This is stupid! I don't want to help you with anything!"
"5...4...3...2...1...Stop!" Ji Hoo commanded and everyone came to a halt and slowly went back to their positions in line. Ji Hoo walked down the line and observed what everyone had as results. Jae Kyung was holding one piece of ribbon, which was long enough to tie together her hair, but it wasn't long enough for the win. As Ji Hoo passed them in disappointment, Jae Kyung looked up to Woo Bin in anger; he shrugged his shoulders as if nothing had happened. Next came Yi Jung and Ga Eul, Ji Hoo smiled to himself as Yi Jung placed out his hands full of pieces of ribbons, Ga Eul had her arms crossed in front of her chest. Ji Hoo walked away.
"Yah! I have so many pieces here, we win!" Ji Hoo stopped and looked back at the couple, especially the confused Yi Jung, "sorry Yi Jung but they needed to be tied." Hearing that Ji Hoo walked away onto the next couple. Yi Jung threw all the pieces to the floor, "what a waste of time."
"I told you we should work together and tie them up!" Ga Eul rolled her eyes, but Yi Jung didn't respond, and just shifted his view to Jun Pyo and Jan Di.
"And we have a winner of the first game. Jun Pyo and Jan Di!" Ji Hoo announced as he held up Jun Pyo's left arm. Yi Jung leaned in closer and saw a puddle of ribbon pieces lay in Jun Pyo and Jan Di's intertwined hands. "Yah! They didn't tie them either! This isn't fair!" Jun Pyo and Jan Di smiled to each other and turned towards Yi Jung, they held out their intertwined hands and held one-ribbon pieces as they let the rest drop. Yi Jung rolled his eyes as he saw the pieces were tied together perfectly and dropped to the floor in a straight line.
"Jun Pyo and Jan Di are in the lead, the rest need to make up and work as a team." Ji Hoo announced. "5 minute break and we will start the next game." With that Ji Hoo retreated to the kitchen, 'gosh this announcer thing is hard! I need water.' Ji Hoo thought to himself while clearing his throat as if it was a desert.
Jan Di hugged Jun Pyo and he hugged her back and they walked outside.
"What is your problem? You happy Jun Pyo won over you?" Jae Kyung yelled as she faced Woo Bin but he avoided her gaze.
"Whatever. I don't care. All of this is stupid!" Woo Bin yelled back.
"Yah! What is wrong with you, you were all about games before." Jae Kyung replied.
Woo Bin took a deep sigh and responded with an icy tone, "that was when I had some hope. Now it is all gone." With that Woo Bin headed out. Jae Kyung completely understood what he meant, she broke down and fell onto the couch as tears rolled down her cheeks. 'Have I hurt him this much?'
Ga Eul and Yi Jung stood silent, but something suddenly snapped in Ga Eul seeing Jae Kyung cry and ran after Woo Bin. Ga Eul saw Woo Bin stand on the sandy beach while looking out to the ocean. She instantly walked up to him and before she could even yell out a sound, Woo Bin's appearance made her silent. Woo Bin had his eyes closed as he had his head held high, his chin pointing to the sky and tears rolling down his cheeks. This appearance stunned Ga Eul, unwillingly she let out a cough which triggered Woo Bin to look at her and wipe away his tears.
"Sorry I didn't mean t-"
"No it is alright. Why are you here?" Recalling to the real reason she had come, made Ga Eul change, "you made Jae Kyung unnie cry!"
"So?"
"So is this your thing?"
"What?"
"Making someone fall for you and then break their hearts later? That is why I hated you coming into the hospital because all you did was cause depression for all the nurses there!"
Woo Bin smirked as he replied, "it wasn't my fault they fell for me."
"You-" Ga Eul paused and found that yelling at Woo Bin was no use, "I am just saying please stop causing girls to cry, try to make them smile and see how happy you will be." With that Ga Eul walked back into the cabin, and Woo Bin stood in place smiling, "I should have recognized you were my sister, at the hospital." Taking a deep inhale of fresh air, Woo Bin retreats back into the cabin, where Ji Hoo stood reading the cards before announcing them and everyone else stood in line. Woo Bin walked up to Jae Kyung and just continued to stand next to her without any word said.
"Okay, next game. 'Lover's-Line Up' " Everyone looked at one another in confusion, but looked back at Ji Hoo as he continued, "paper and pen have been set out for you on this table. Each person needs to take 6 pieces of paper, and write your name on every piece of paper, followed by a question; it has to be a question about yourself, as in 'your favorite color' and in the end the answer. Once you are done fold up the papers and toss it into to the glass bowl placed in the middle of the table. Only thing, do not let your partner see what you wrote."
Pen continued to transfer words onto paper and as the last person tossed their folded papers into the bowl, Ji Hoo took the bowl into his possession and sat on the circle rug as everyone else sat on the same rug in front of Ji Hoo, forming the same line.
"Now as I pull out a paper, whose ever question it is, it will be asked to their partner and if the partner answers correctly, their team will get a point, the team with most points in the end, will win this round. Clear enough?" Everyone nodded towards Ji Hoo, and with that Ji Hoo fumbled through the papers in the bowl and pulled one out.
"Jan Di. What is Jun Pyo's favorite color?"
"Red!" Jan Di answered without giving it any thought. Jun Pyo smiled seeing how fast Jan Di replied.
"Correct! You guys get a point!" Ji Hoo fumbled through the papers in the bowl again and pulled another one out. "Woo Bin. What is Jae Kyung's favorite animal?" Jae Kyung looks up to Woo Bin, hesitating to his answer, but after a while Woo Bin opened his mouth, "lion." Jae Kyung was shocked but remained silent.
"Correct! You guys get a point!" Before Ji Hoo could reach for another paper, Ga Eul questioned, "if everyone continues to get the questions right and they get equal amount of points, then how will we have a winner?" Ji Hoo smiled towards Ga Eul as he replied, "I was observing everyone's questions as you guys wrote them down and they will get tough, but even so if we happen to have a tie, I have a bonus question up my sleeve that will apply to everyone, but only one will be able to answer. Okay let us continue." Ga Eul nodded and with that Ji Hoo reached for another paper.
"Ga Eul. What is Yi Jung's favorite season?" Ga Eul looked down upon the rug she sat on and thought through, she knew Mrs. So told her once, then the answer clicked, "autumn!" Yi Jung looked over to Ga Eul surprised to her answer. 'How did she know?'
"Correct! Your team gets a point."
"Next. Woo Bin. If Jae Kyung was upset, whom would she go to?" Jae Kyung bit her lower lip, 'there is no way he would remember that…' Woo Bin to her dismay smiled upon the question he was asked, "she wouldn't go to anyone. She finds it weak to cry in front of others. She hides in her room all day, and just stuffs herself with double meals without coming out. She would tell her stuffed animals what happened and why she was upset and after that whole process, she would feel better and would move on with her day." Woo Bin looked over to Jae Kyung with a smile but he was presented with a girl in front of him whose jaw was hanging as if it were broken. Before Jae Kyung could say anything, Ji Hoo interrupted.
"Correct! Your team receives another point! Next. Jun Pyo. Where does Jan Di dream to go?"
Jun Pyo rubbed his chin for a while, as every second passed, Jan Di became sadder, then Jun Pyo looked over to Jan Di carrying a smirk, "Italy." Jan Di rose her head in joy and smiled back at Jun Pyo.
"Correct! Next. Jae Kyung. Where is Woo Bin's favorite place to go?" Everyone one began to chuckle upon hearing the question, it was obvious it had to be the club. Jae Kyung cleared her throat and everyone became silent, "the Gyeongpo Beach. He finds it relaxing to be away from people and be by himself, feeling the fresh air, and hear the water waves crash on the sandy surface." Stunned faces looked at Jae Kyung, but she shrugged her shoulders and looked away.
"Correct! Next. Yi Jung. What is the most precious thing to Ga Eul?"
Yi Jung cursed under his breath 'I know this one, what is it!' Ga Eul cleared her throat silently for only Yi Jung's ears. He looked at Ga Eul as she placed her hand around her neck for a second and then put her hand down instantly. 'What kind of signal was that?' Then Yi Jung's eyes fell upon the shiny silver chain around Ga Eul's neck holding the locket that was behind her shirt and that was the signal he needed. "The locket, the one her father gave her."
"Correct! You guys got another point!" Ji Hoo smiled brightly, he found it funny how all of them were so busy in trying to answer the questions that none of them noticed that the questions that were asked were not the ones they wrote on the paper….
"Okay so the scores are Jae Kyung and Woo Bin 6 points. Yi Jung and Ga Eul have 6 points. Jun Pyo and Jan Di have 6 points. Wow you guys know each other well. Now for the bonus question." Ji Hoo announced, causing everyone to sit up with confidence.
"Whoever answers this question, wins. Who said this: 'you only have to try your best and go for what you feel is right, before you are left with regrets.'?" Everyone carried a confused look unable to process the question.
"Wait isn't that the motto of F4?" Jun Pyo questioned.
"Yes, but why?" Ji Hoo responded.
"Because it was said by the person who formed the F4, who brought us together." Woo Bin replied.
"And that was?" Ji Hoo questioned again. The F3 were dumbfounded, sure the person who brought them together was very important to them, but as they grew up and tried to track that person; the person was nowhere to be found.
"...L...Little autumn…" Yi Jung trailed off as he recalled the little girl who brought together the broken F4 when they were young and spoiled with dysfunctional families and no one to guide them. Everyone looked at Yi Jung, yet Ji Hoo continued to smile upon hearing his answer.
"Correct! So with that Yi Jung and Ga Eul win this round! " Ga Eul cheered in joy and the F2 patted Yi Jung on the back for his win.
Ji Hoo had left the group to toss out the papers; he continued to smile to himself before heading back, "they will remember soon."
Night had blanketed the island, yet the fun continued for the entire group.
"Okay, so for the last game of the day, we will play 'pass the chocolates' here one person at a time will be blindfolded and the group will pass around a box of chocolates. Then as the one blindfolded says stop whenever they want to, whoever has the box of chocolates in their hand at the time has to kiss the one blindfolded anyway they want to and the one blindfolded has to guess who it was. The player with the post correct guesses will be our winner for this party!" Everyone nodded as they sat in a circle on the floor. Jae Kyung being the most jumpy was the first to volunteer to be blindfolded.
"Stop!" the box of chocolates landed in Jan Di's hand. Slowly Jan Di moves up to Jae Kyung and placed a quick peck on Jae Kyung's cheek. It wasn't hard for Jae Kyung to know who it was; apparently as Jan Di moved back, she let out a small laugh, which was too familiar.
"Jan Di-ah!" Jae Kyung removed her blindfold and was deemed to be correct. Jan Di and Jae Kyung then switch places and this time Jan Di was the one being blindfolded. Jun Pyo snatched the box of chocolates from Jae Kyung and kept them in his hands. Others tried to reach for it, but Jun Pyo didn't let them. Ji Hoo signaled everyone to settle down and let Jun Pyo do what he was doing, sure it was cheating but that was one of Jun Pyo's specialties.
"Stop!" As soon as that word reached Jun Pyo's ear, he rushed over to Jan Di on his knees and placed a quick peck on her lips causing her to blush.
"Yah...Jun Pyo…" Jan Di removed her blindfold and no doubt she was right, as her eyes became clear her eyes were presented with a smiling curly haired handsome guy smiling at her like crazy. Jan Di went back to her spot and Jun Pyo followed her. Next Ga Eul was the one to be blindfolded. This time Ji Hoo took the box of chocolates and walked around the circle.
"Stop!" Instantly Ji Hoo dropped the box of chocolates onto Yi Jung's lap, before he could argue, everyone signaled him to keep quiet and just kiss Ga Eul after all she was his wife. Annoyed Yi Jung walked up to Ga Eul and sat in front of her. Ga Eul was anxious to guess correct, but soon as the person leaned closer to her, his smell caused her heart to beat really fast, and it had happened so often all day today that she didn't need a kiss to tell her it was him.
"Yi Jung." Ga Eul removed her blindfold and was presented with Yi Jung's face only inches away, shock was written all over his face. 'How did she know it was me already?' Yi Jung thought to himself. Ga Eul was getting the same weird feeling she has been getting for a while now and to get rid of it, she attempted to get up and walk away from Yi Jung, but failed as Yi Jung grabbed her wrist and placed a soft kiss on her forehead. As he leaned back Ga Eul's eyes were wide opened. Yi Jung leaned in closer to Ga Eul's ear, "have to play by the rules. Don't be mad." With that Yi Jung moved back and got up to go back into his spot in the circle.
