New Years Lovin-Ch 1
Penelope Garcia yawned as she shut her babies down, the team had several hours of paperwork to do before they would be home soooooo she was going to head home and get some much needed rest. Her team of crime fighters had been away on a case for over two weeks, they were called in right after Christmas dinner and they had been gone ever since.
Tomorrow was New Years Eve, a night that she usually looked forward to because of the parties she would go to but anymore going to parties didn't excite her, if she wasn't with her team she would rather be home watching her favorite movies while pigging out with her favorite snacks.
A little time later she walked into her apartment and toed off her shoes as she shut and locked her door, she was exhausted, she had been at the BAU in her lair at least 16 hours a day since her team left. Now, though she was home and her bathtub was calling her name, what she needed before bed was a nice hot bubble bath so that she could soak all of her troubles away.
Soon she was soaking in her bubble filled tub and she sighed as she laid her head back against her wall, ohhhhhh how good that hot water felt as it cascaded all over her chest and shoulders. She could feel the tension leaving her body, she blew out a deep breath and said, "well Garcie what's on the agenda for tomorrow night"?, she then turned her head to the side and said, "ohhhhh how about a pizza and then watching your favorite movies until you fall asleep".
She said, "yes, yes that sounds like a plan", she then continued with her bubble bath and then got out, dried off and put on her night clothes before cleaning up her mess and heading out of her bathroom and stepping into her bedroom.
As she stood there she heard someone in her living room, she bit down on her bottom lip and thought, "oh just great, here it is going on 2:00 in the morning on what is now New Years Eve and somebody is breaking into my apartment, great, just great" as she made her way quietly across her room.
She stopped and grabbed something, she said, "maybe I can knock whoever it is out and then make a run for it" as she headed toward her beaded curtains. She blew out a deep breath and then jumped through the curtains and said, "take that" as she swung at whoever was standing in front of her, she dropped the item in her hand when she heard somebody laugh.
Penelope opened her eyes to see Derek Morgan standing there, she said, "wait, huh, how are you even here, I didn't think you would be home until sometime around 8 or 9 in the morning". Derek said, "well you can blame that on me, ya see we got finished and were already on the jet when I told you that we were going to be a while".
Penelope said, "and why would you do that and why break in here and scare me to death"?, Derek said, "first of all I didn't break in, you gave me a key, remember"?, she said, "of course I remember". Derek said, "and secondly the reason I did this was to surprise you sweetness", her mouth flew open and she said, "well you did that, you sure surprised me handsome".
Derek said, "come sit down and eat with me", Penelope said, "uhhhh hotstuff it's like 2:30 in the morning", he said, "yeah it is but I'm starving and I know you and I know that you haven't had anything to eat since lunch today", he looked at her and said, "well am I right"?, she said "yes, yes, you're right, you're right" as they made their way over to the couch.
After she sat down Derek handed her a covered plate and said, "enjoy" and he watched her eyes pop open when she saw Chicken Alfredo and not normal Alfredo but Fran Morgan Rossi's Alfredo. She took a bite and moaned as she shut her eyes and said, "ohhhhhh Fran makes the best Alfredo", Derek nodded his head yes in agreement and said, "that she does baby giril,t hat she does" as they continued eating.
He handed her a drink and said, "here you go gorgeous", she took the glass and said, "thank you angel fish this is really delicious and very sweet of you". Derek said "you're welcome goddess, I'd do anything i could for my girl" and Penelope's heart started racing as she kept repeating his words over and over again in her head "his girl, his girl".
She then inwardly shook her head and said to herself he doesn't mean that literally, he doesn't think of me that way, he only sees me as his friend and nothing else". They sat there eating and talking and a little time later they were finished eating so he took their plates in the kitchen and came back over and sat down beside her.
Penelope looked at him and said, "that was delicious handsome, thanks again", he winked at her and said, "any time baby, any time" as he leaned forward and cupped her face in his hands. Her heart started racing again and then seconds later his lips were on hers, at first she thought she was dreaming but as he ran his tongue over her bottom lip begging for entrance she opened her mouth, allowing his tongue inside.
Derek pulled her into his lap without breaking their kiss, one hand was on her back and the other was in her lap, she thought her heart was going to stop, how was this happening, why was this happening, why was Derek really kissing her and before she knew it she felt him laying her down on her couch,
As the kiss ended he rested his forehead against hers and said, "baby girl we need to talk", she laid there looking up at him and then said, "uhhh yeah, yeah we do". Derek pulled her back up to him but wouldn't let her out of his lap, she said, "Derek, why did you kiss me, why did you kiss me like that"?, he looked up at her and said, "that's easy baby girl, I kissed you like that because I love you and I'm tired of fighting it" and before she could say another word his lips were on hers again.
