12/15/2020 Author's Note: On 12/4/2020, I sent Zac the more specific information on the traffic stats problem o and have heard nothing back. I also raised an issue of a possible data breach. Haven't heard about that one either.

I've gotten a couple of favorites that were strange. I always look up the profiles and the profiles were interesting because the profiles were new and wanted readers to look at their videos or their web pages. I checked one out and it flashed a warning about nude pictures, so I left the site. Here's the suspicious part, this "person" is favoriting people that don't write in what looks like sequential order.

How did they get that listing? Is it hacking or is this site selling that information? I mentioned this to Zac in my email and have heard nothing.

I think it's some kind of scam to get people to go to their websites or view their online videos. I've blocked these people and I suggest you do the same. If you PM me, I will send you the list of these people.

Because this site provides little to no support to its readers or writers who know what is really going on or if these people have gained access to more than a bunch of pen names—like passwords and email addresses.

I'm going to spend more time filling out another round of reports of errors on this site including one specifically mentioning what could possibly be a data breach. I suggest you do the same.

Chapter 60 Hell in an Elevator

"

Ava stretched out getting ready taking the time to carefully straighten her wavy hair until it hung in a shiny curtain past her shoulders. She was trying to think of a better way to spend the evening than having dinner with Jax. If she didn't speak to him, that should reduce the amount of conflict and she could pretend she was with someone else.

Next she added eyeliner winging it up into an exotic cat's eye. She smudged a smoky plum eye shadow around her eyes before finishing with three coats of mascara. She hated false eyelashes. She added a touch of shimmer to her cheek bones and finished with the perfect blue based red lipstick wiping it off and reapplying before wiping it off again. It gave her lips a stained look. Next she added lip gloss to the curve of her upper lip and in the middle of her lower lip for a pouty look.

Ava had taken lessons on make-up application. She enjoyed giving herself different looks. She could make herself look young and sweet or sultry and sexy and all the looks in between. She was going for sexy tonight because that's what felt good to her. It definitely had nothing to do with Jax. Maybe it had a little to do with Jax. As long as he wanted to have sex with her and she refused, she was the one with the power.

Jax didn't understand Ava. She spent time carefully applying make up to look exotic and sexy as hell and then she had on a shapeless dress. From what he saw of her in her swim suit and when she walked naked covered with soap foam from the shower, she had a good body.

Once again he thought about how the croweaters were always taking their clothes off in the club house. Those girls weren't shy at all. That was when he realized that most—maybe even all—the girls he'd been with were croweaters. Except for high school. He'd slept with high school girls when he'd been in high school. None of them had been shy about their bodies like Ava. Could be he'd never been with a shy girl. That could explain why Ava wasn't all over him like most girls.

That had to be the explanation because he sure as hell wasn't losing his looks. The admiring female attention that always came his way was still coming. He could be having a dirty depraved threesome with the two young women he met on the beach tonight if it weren't for Ava.

"You know Ava, you could really do a lot more with your appearance. Instead of the long sundress sack, you should wear something short to show off your legs and something low cut to show off your boobs."

"And why would I do that?" Ava asked coldly, forgetting that she wasn't going to speak to him.

"To look sexy."

Ava rolled her eyes. Sex was all Jax Teller ever thought about. He should be trying to improve his mind and learn stuff instead of being so focused on sex. Men can see better than they can think. Jax was no exception.

"Who would I want to look sexy for? You?"

"Would that be so horrible?"

"I'm not talking to you," Ava snapped.

"You just did."

She tried to stare a hole through him, failed and put on her sandals. She and Jax left without another word spoken between them.

He was dressed up for him in green khakis and a white shirt with actual buttons. No T-shirt. Hallelujah! It was a miracle.

Jax could be considered attractive if a woman that liked all those muscles and the rampant virility. She wasn't that woman. Maybe if he throttled back the testosterone he wouldn't be so bad. Of course that only took care of the appearance problem. He still had issues with his attitude. And then there was his dog kisses. The only thing worse than a Jax Teller kiss would be Jax Teller sex. She'd have to scrub her body with steel wool afterwards. No thanks.

Breaking in on her when she was in the shower wasn't something she would soon forget much less forgive. She was going to come up with a way to get back at him that would be far worse than him breaking into the bathroom. As he put it, if someone does something to you, you retaliate always harder. That's exactly what she was going to do to him. Slimy, sneaky bastard.

They got into the elevator each taking the opposite side. Ava liked to stand by the buttons and press them. She was an adult and she shouldn't have enjoyed the childish pleasure pressing the buttons gave her, but she did. She pressed the lobby button.

A short bald man with gold wire framed glasses ducked into the elevator. He stood with his back pressed against the wall, his face pale.

"Floor?" Ava asked.

"Lobby," he said in a trembling voice.

"Are you sick?" Ava asked.

"Claustrophobic. Too many stairs," he said shutting his eyes.

The elevator began to descend until there was a jolt and the elevator stopped.

The man's eyes flew open.

"What did you do?" he demanded.

"Nothing," Ava replied. She looked at the floor display above the door. "We're stuck."

The man closed his eyes and looked like he was going to pass out.

Ava picked up the phone and spoke to who she presumed was hotel security.

"Our elevator's stuck," Ava reported.

"We're looking into it," a man replied.

"We have a reservation at the Kona Club and we don't want to be late. My husband . . ." for a moment Ava thought she was going to throw up a little in her mouth, "is the famous Jax Teller. He's a very big celebrity."

"From the documentary?"

"Ava," Jax growled in a low threatening voice.

"The very same one. He spent most of the afternoon signing autographs for your hotel guests. You don't want to piss him off," Ava said.

"Knock it off," Jax said.

Ava gave him a big smile. She knew throwing his name around would make him angry.

"We're doing everything we can to get you out right away," the man assured her quickly. "I'll call you right back as soon as I know more."

"Did they say when they were going to get us out of here?" the short bald man asked.

"No idea," Ava replied.

The man moaned.

"Don't you ever do that again," Jax ordered furiously.

"Do what?" Ava asked with mock innocence.

"Throw my name around."

"You are a celebrity and you did spend the afternoon taking selfies with your loving fans."

"Are you really are Jax Teller?" the man asked.

"I am," Jax said.

"We're here on our honeymoon," Ava said mockingly.

"I didn't think you were speaking to me," Jax reminded Ava.

"I'm making an exception because we're stuck in the elevator. As soon as we're out, I'm not talking to you."

"Please tell me your silence will last forever."

"It will last as long as I want it to."

"My name's Thom McCain. That's Thom with an "h". I just wrote a book Five Minute Marriage Fix that will be released next week. I think I can help you get your marriage back on track."

Thom's motives weren't pure. He hoped that by helping Jax and Ava, he could focus on something other than being trapped in an elevator. He also hoped that when he fixed Jax and Ava's marriage, they would join him in an infomercial promoting his book.

"You really think you can fix our marriage in five minutes?" Ava asked skeptically.

"Absolutely."

"I'm willing to give it a try," Jax said.

Jax thought since there wasn't anything to do stuck inside the elevator; it might be good for Ava to have an outside voice telling her that everything wrong with their marriage was her fault.

"Ava, will you let me help you?"

"Of course," Ava said in a sweet mocking voice.

Ava sized the guy up as a self help fraud. It might be fun to mess with this guy and with Jax. Might as well have a little fun stuck inside the elevator from hell.

Author's Note: I am taking a break from writing this story until January 2021. If you want to read Christmas stories check out Unexpected Christmas and Tara's Perfectly Imperfect Christmas under my other writing name MVeneer. I know most of you who read Jax/OC stories hate Tara, but the Tara I write is different from the TV show. She's more of an awkward nerdy girl than the stoic door mat from the show.

The New Year for Jax and Ava will be a big one. Elevator marriage counseling, Ava's retaliation for opening the bathroom door, a possible new addition to their happy family, a new/old house for them to fight in and a murder.

Can they stop hating each other long enough to fall in love?
