Saline and gritty water wafted towards Yi Jung's feet as he fluttered his eyes open. Feeling the sandy texture beneath him, Yi Jung instantly sits up as he rubs his forehead.
"Huh. Where am I?" Yi Jung brought up his hand and another hand followed. "Ah!" Yi Jung's loud shriek caused the figure next to him to sit up instantly as her breathing increased.
"What's wrong?" Ga Eul questioned as she looked at Yi Jung who raised his left hand causing her right hand to raise with his as they were handcuffed together.
"What! What is this? And..Where are we?" Ga Eul questioned which Yi Jung replied as he shrugged his shoulders.
"Hello? Yi Jung? Ga Eul? You guys there?" Yi Jung looked upon the blanket they both sat on and in the center was a walkie talkie which Yi Jung instantly picked up with his free hand and yelled into it in panic.
"Hello? Ji Hoo is that you? We need your help! I think we have been kidnapped!" Yi Jung's voice dropped soon as he heard laughter from the other line.
"Why would a kidnapper take the both of you and then handcuff you two together?" Ji Hoo replied.
"I don't know! Maybe because I am from the So family and so is Ga Eul and...Wait how do you know we are handcuffed?" In response Yi Jung received more laughter coming from Ji Hoo.
"Well Mr. and Mrs. So Yi Jung, I know because I am that kind kidnapper."
"What!" Yi Jung and Ga Eul yelled at the same time.
"Yes, remember the milk I gave to each of you last night?" Ji Hoo questioned causing Yi Jung and Ga Eul to nod towards the walkie talkie as if Ji Hoo was in front of them.
"I had sleeping pills added in the milk, so when I bring you two on this island, you won't be awake." Ji Hoo chuckled upon saying his plan out loud.
"Ji Hoo this isn't funny. Enough of the joke now. Come and get us off this island now and I promise I won't punch you too hard for this lame prank."
"Who said this was a prank?" Ji Hoo questioned, in response he received silence causing him to continue. "This is the next game we will be playing. 'The Lover's Survival' lets see how you two can get out of all this together."
"What kind of stupid game is that? I am telling you for the last time, come and get us off this island!" Yi Jung yelled. Ga Eul stood silent and watched Yi Jung's facial expressions.
"I thought you were competitive. Come on this will be fun. There are clues around this island, which will lead you to the key to the cuffs. You only have this one day to work together and be able to survive and find the key."
"What about food? How can we survive without food? Now don't tell me we gotta find our own food, because with these handcuffs we won't be able to." Ji Hoo chuckled on the other line hearing Yi Jung's request.
"Do not worry Mr. So Yi Jung I won't starve you. Every meal will be presented to you. I understand the cuffs will make it difficult for you two to eat, but I am sure both of you will find a way out of it. Maybe feed each other. Okay good luck. Remember you only have today to find the key and transportation to come back to New Caledonia. If you fail to do so, you will lose the game." Ji Hoo announced.
"Wait can't we get some kind of hint at least?" Yi Jung requested before Ji Hoo could hang up.
"Sure." Ji Hoo's approval brought a small grin on Yi Jung's face.
"Work together." Ji Hoo replied before hanging up instantly.
"Yeah! Ji Hoo come back! What kind of hint is that?" Yi Jung yelled but only received static noise in response. Yi Jung drops the walkie talkie and looks at Ga Eul staring at him.
"What?" Yi Jung questioned narrowing his brows. Ga Eul burst out laughing.
"You look so funny when you are mad!"
"Ah! This is no time to laugh it off, come on let's get off this island. I don't even know what to do or where to start."
"Aish! Why does my head hurt so much!"
"Yah! So rude of you to yell when someone is sleeping!" Jan Di sat up as she hit Jun Pyo's head.
"Yah! What are you doing here?" Jun Pyo questioned which Jan Di replied as she observed her surroundings. Her eyes then fell on her wrist that was chained with Jun Pyo's. Before any word could leave either mouth a note caught their eyes. Jun Pyo grabbed it with his free hand and read it outloud.
Dear Jun Pyo and Jan Di,
Welcome to the next game. 'The Lover's Survival.' In this game, you have to work together and solve clues to find the key to your handcuffs. After that you will need to find resources to create transportation to get back to New Caledonia. You only have 24 hours to find the your way back. Food will be provided for you, and it is your choice how you want to eat it. Remember working together is key. Good luck to your team.
P.S. I was planning to leave a walkie talkie for you so you can communicate with me and ask questions, but knowing Jun Pyo, I couldn't risk losing my hearing, since he tends to yell more than usual when he is mad.
Jun Pyo crumbled the paper in his hand and tossed it in front of him, letting it flow away with the waves.
Woo Bin shifted in place; continuously pulling on his wrist forced him to sit up with anger.
"How many times do I have to explain to you not to bother me when I am sleeping!"
Woo Bin's voice dropped as he witnessed Jae Kyung in front of him, trying to cut off the handcuffs that connected her and Woo Bin's wrists.
"Well sorry sleeping beauty, but some of us like being free!" Jae Kyung replied as she continued to attempt breaking out of the cuffs.
"What is happening? Why are we here and why are we cuffed?" Jae Kyung sighed as she dropped the pocketknife and handed Woo Bin a horizontal picture of him and Jae Kyung when they were young. Woo Bin looked up to Jae Kyung which she instructed him to flip the photo over.

P.S. I was planning to leave a walkie talkie for you, so you can communicate with me and ask questions, but knowing you two I think a run down memory lane would be best and plus you can't throw this away like Jun Pyo did with my message, think carefully, this is not only a message it is a clue.
'Ji Hoo, what have you done.' Woo Bin thought to himself as fear ran down his spine and the past flashed before his eyes.
Ji Hoo smiled as he monitored each screen carefully. Two arms enveloped around his waist "do you think they can do this and remember?"
"They are the official F4. They will succeed."
