Chapter 62 Getting Jax Drunk

"

Ava had come up with the perfect way to get back at Jax and protect herself from retaliation. She didn't want a repeat of Jax opening the bathroom door. Tonight, she was going to get Jax drunk. That was the first step. He wouldn't remember what happened. She would know that it was due to her, but he wouldn't be able to prove it.

After the show and dinner was over at the Kona Club, Ava went to the bathroom and, on her way back to the table, she had a discussion with their waitress. She handed her fifty dollars and told her that no matter what drink she ordered, she needed to make sure no alcohol was put in the drink. She promised to give her two hundred dollars when they left for making sure she wasn't served alcohol plus a tip on the drinks in cash. Sometimes restaurants didn't give the tips paid with a credit card to the servers. Several high profile celebrity restauranteurs had been sued for skimming tips meant for the wait staff resulting in multi-million dollar settlements. The waitress quickly agreed.

"I saw our waitress and ordered two more drinks on our alcohol tour of Hawaii—two Blue Hawaii drinks," Ava said sweetly.

"Are you going to get drunk?" Jax asked trying to keep the enthusiasm out of his voice. A drunk Ava might actually be fun. She couldn't get any worse.

"I can out drink you," Ava boosted. "I have a huge tolerance for alcohol."

"Uh-huh. I just bet you have."

"How about a bet? If I get drunk first, I'll make out with you. If you get drunk first, you will never open the bathroom door again when I'm inside and you won't try to kiss me for the rest of the time in Hawaii."

In Jax's brain, he was convinced that if he made out with Ava that would lead to sex because that was the way it always happened. Out drinking her would be easy. He was larger. That gave him a natural advantage and he'd had a lot of experience with heavy drinking in the MC's clubhouse. Normally, he only drank beer or bourbon. He didn't think he would have any trouble dealing with these sweet fruity mixed drinks that were popular in Hawaii.

"You have yourself a deal."

Ava held out her hand.

"Shake," she said.

He shook her hand just as the waitress arrived with two Blue Hawaiians. Ava sucked hers down with enthusiasm. Drinking fast would make her get drunk faster and then they could go back to their room where they would make out and then as long as she wasn't too drunk—he wasn't a complete pig—he didn't want her to be too drunk so that she didn't know what she was doing. He wanted her to remember the first time she had sex with him and he didn't want her to use the excuse she was so drunk she didn't know what she was doing.

"It was fun messing with the marriage expert guy," Ava confessed.

"That was cruel jumping in the elevator, but I enjoyed watching you bounce," Jax said, his eyes automatically going to Ava's breasts as he remembered the gentle bouncing as she moved.

"I hate those know-it-all types who try to tell you what to do. It's all a con."

"We actually have something in common. I hate being told what to do too. In prison, your entire existence revolves around being told what to do."

Ava never knew anyone who had been in prison. They all had enough money to stay out of prison no matter how many times they got caught drunk driving. She knew this one guy who had actually killed a man. His rich parents paid off the family, he said all the right things about being sorry at his trial and he got off without going to jail.

"It must have been really awful being in prison, knowing you're innocent and not being able to get out."

Ava's words stunned Jax. For the first time since they met, she sounded honestly sympathetic.

"Now you know why I was so desperate to get out. If I'd been guilty, I could have accepted that as the price for what I'd done. To be framed like that—like you are such an insignificant person you don't matter, you don't deserve to be treated according to the law—was what pissed me off."

"If you'd had money, they never would have framed you," Ava said.

"Your father said that the two dirty ATF agents will now have every single one of their cases put under a microscope. I may not have been the only one they framed."

"And my father will figure out a way to make money off of this. He's very good and figuring out how to make money."

"I don't have a problem with that. If he can get innocent people out of jail or guilty people who weren't treated fairly by the justice system out too, good for him and the people he's freed."

"Why don't you do something with the law?" Ava suggested.

"I don't see myself going to college much less to law school."

"You don't have to go to law school. Kim Kardashian is going to be an attorney without going to law school. It's a quirk in California law. You have to be an apprentice or something like that and pass the bar exam. Before law schools, people would learn from judges."

"How do you know that?"

"I saw the thing about Kim Kardashian on TV. I asked my phone and it explained about the quirk in the law. I learned about how people studied law from historical romance novels. You could help people get out of jail who got screwed by the system. I'm sure my father would help you."

Jax decided when he got back to Charming, he would talk to TB about doing something with the law. If he could learn enough, he could help motorcycle clubs with their legal problems. Lowen was attorney and she wasn't very smart. There might be a way he could help others and with the money he was going to get from the government screwing him over, he would have the money to do some good.

He had never given his future much thought beyond patching SAMCRO and becoming its president. Maybe being the ultimate outlaw meant being an outlaw who used the law against the government to protect the rights of bikers. There were plenty of biker clubs that could use help.

It was hard to believe Ava had come up with such a good idea. Maybe the alcohol was having a good effect on her personality. She didn't seem drunk yet and they had had five drinks. She was definitely less of a bitch. Could be that's the way alcohol hit her.

"Were you serious when you said you like that I can ride a bike?"

"Yeah, I enjoyed riding around Charming."

"We could rent a bike here and see the island, maybe stay at another hotel that we find on our ride."

Ava had been in Hawaii several times without ever seeing more than the airport and the resort. It would be kind of nice seeing more of the island.

"We have a flight to Maui in a couple of days."

"We could take our trip, pack a few things and leave the rest back in our hotel room. It's paid for until we need to check out for our flight to Maui."

Ava hated to do something that Jax wanted to do, but she wanted to do it too. Riding on the bike and seeing the island, stopping whenever something looked interesting and eating at places different from the resort appealed to her.

"How about one day and if I like it, we'll extend the trip?"

Jax reached across the table and squeezed Ava's hand.

"Agreed," he said smiling at her.

Ava had her moments when she could actually be nice and touring the island on a bike would be a lot of fun even with her along. Her legs would be around his body, her breasts pressed up against his back . . . Sex was going to happen soon. Jerking off just wasn't the same as being inside a woman and Ava was a sexy woman.

Three more drinks and Ava judged that Jax was either pretty drunk or buzzed enough for some fun.

"How about we dance?" Ava suggested using her sweet voice.

Jax seemed willing to agree to anything when she used her sweet voice.
