A/N: As promised here is this week's update! I might do 2 updates this week depending on how you guys like this one! I would like to mention I am not studying medicine, this chapter is based on a few things I have learned over the years in classes, if I said something incorrectly please forgive me. Enjoy!
"Ga Eul call Jae Rim right now and ask him where he is" Yi Jung walked over to Ga Eul and demanded her to make the call, she hesitated for a while but seeing the anger in Yi Jung's eyes, she pulled out her handphone from her purse and dialed the number.
"Hey, Ga Eul! Whats up-"
"Jae Rim where are you right now?" Yi Jung snatched the phone from Ga Eul before any conversation could emerge and began questioning.
"Well hello to you too Yi Jung, I am here at the clinic" Jae Rim removed his gloves and tossed them in the trash bin as he held his phone next to his ear.
"Come over to my house right now!" Yi Jung yelled, causing Jae Rim to move the phone away from his ear for a while till it was quiet for him to bring it back.
"First off, I would appreciate you talk to me in a mannerly tone and I will not be able to come over right now, I have appointments and-"
"Yi Jung please, it's not him" Jae Rim heard Ga Eul's voice and sat up in place. Yi Jung turned around to face Ga Eul as he kept the phone near his ear, "don't tell me how to deal with this. This is my mother, I will handle this my way, just stay out of it" Ga Eul gasped at the tone Yi Jung just used with her, keeping her head low she takes a step back, Jan Di walked up behind Ga Eul, rubbing her shoulder, while giving her a small hug. Woo Bin, Jun Pyo, and Ji Hoo watched their friend from the doorframe, unable to find words to calm him down.
"Listen you can say whatever you want to me, but do not talk to Ga Eul like that again" Jae Rim now gripping his phone in anger responded.
"Then come over right now!" Without getting a response, Yi Jung ended the call. Tossing Ga Eul's handphone to the side table, Yi Jung marches downstairs with the F3 following him. Jan Di helped Ga Eul wipe away her tears as she shifted to sit on the bed next to Mrs. So.
"Yi Jung are you sure it's him? It could be anyone." Ji Hoo questioned sitting himself on the couch as Yi Jung continued to pace around.
"Yah bro, we have no proof other than what the butler told you" Woo Bin mentioned as he outstretched his arm on the couch.
"Yi Jung you are going a bit out of bounds right now" Jun Pyo stood in front of Yi Jung with his arms crossed in front of his chest but Yi Jung ignored his presence and walked past him.
Yi Jung stopped his pacing as Eun Jae came into view, standing in front of him Eun Jae placed her hand on his shoulder "Yi Jung please try to calm yourself, it will all be okay" she grabbed his wrist and sat him down to the nearest empty couch, heading behind the couch, Eun Jae began messaging Yi Jung's shoulder. The F3 ignored this action and looked in other directions, of course being a casanova they saw this kind of stuff all the time but now that he was married and the situation they were in, it just seemed very out of place for Eun Jae to do what she was but Yi Jung didn't seem to be bothered so his friends brushed it off, at least he was a lot calmer now. Yi Jung leaned his head back resting it as he closed his eyes, Eun Jae smiled to herself as she leaned down and left a quick peck on his lips. Yi Jung's eyes shot open, but before he could properly respond his butler had walked in and cleared his throat. Eun Jae moved back as Yi Jung fixed himself standing up. As he straightened himself, he saw Ga Eul and Jan Di stand only a few meters away from the butler 'I hope Ga Eul didn't see that' Yi Jung mentally cursed himself although he didn't know why it mattered, pushing all thoughts to the side, Yi Jung moves his attention to the butler.
"Sir, Jae Rim is here to see you"
"Bring him in" The butler left upon Yi Jung's request and shortly after Jae Rim came into view. Before anything Jae Rim ran upto Ga Eul and hugged her "Ga Eul what's wrong? Are you okay?" Ga Eul didn't respond, she looked towards Yi Jung, who stood in place with his hands in his pocket, as he signaled Ga Eul to question.
"Oppa, were you here at all before I got here?"
"Ask him what he did to my mother!" Yi Jung interrupted, Jae Rim glared towards Yi Jung, walking up to him, "Yi Jung I know you are not very fond of me, but can you please not interrupt Ga Eul when she is talking. As for your mother, I have no idea what you mean. I just got back myself last night and have been working on a surgery all day." Jae Rim replied calmly as he placed his hands in his pockets and smiled. Yi Jung grabbed Jae Rim's collar, causing Ga Eul to run upto Jae Rim and stood by his side, trying to get Yi Jung to let go, on the other side the F3 motioned Yi Jung to let go but he didn't budge.
"Don't lie to me! You left days ago, how can you only be getting back last night!"
"Well Mr. Yi Jung, I don't own private jets like you. To answer your question better, I left yesterday morning, although I did get here a lot quicker thanks to Woo Bin, feel free to ask him yourself, I had called him about my flight getting delayed" Jae Rim finished his sentence as he pointed towards Woo Bin who stood confused but seeing Jae Rim's smirk, it clicked. 'This is what he wants me to help him with! How can I lie to Yi Jung!' Woo Bin lost in thought looked back at Jae Rim who titled his head towards Ga Eul and then back at Woo Bin.
"Well, Woo Bin? Is he telling the truth? Yi Jung questioned still gripping Jae Rim's collar.
"Oh.. yeah bro, sorry I forgot to mention this to you, I didn't think it would be important, but Jae Rim called me yesterday morning after I dropped him at the airport that his flight was delayed and he needed to get back to Seoul before today morning because he had a surgery to do, so I helped him get a quicker flight" Woo Bin responded with a natural tone, hoping no one would be able to tell it was a lie.
"Since when did you two become so close?" Jun Pyo questioned.
"He just.. He reminds me of an old friend" Woo Bin responded as he looked at Jae Rim who responded with a grin. Yi Jung let go of Jae Rim's collar. Calling out his butler, Yi Jung sat on the couch, the F3 followed after sitting next to their friend. Ga Eul not for once left Jae Rim's side and Jan Di continued to stay next to the couch where Jun Pyo sat.
"Yes sir."
"What time did the doctor come in yesterday?"
"Sir, the doctor was here yesterday afternoon, Eun -"
"Yi Jung, what's going on here, why are you back so soon?" Everyone shifted their view to the staircase, witnessing Mr. So helping Mrs. So down the stairs, holding her shoulders.
"OMMA!" Yi Jung ran up to his mother and immediately hugged her as tears of joy ran down his cheeks "are you okay?"
"Yah, what could happen to me?" Mrs. So replied as she patted her son's back.
"Honey you have not been responsive for almost 2 days now, and we were told you were in a coma." Mr. So responded as he continued to hold his wife's shoulder making sure she didn't fall as her body felt weak.
"What? No No, you guys are mistaken, nothing was wrong with me. I am completely fine" Before Yi Jung could say anything he moved out of the hug and looked at his mother before looking back towards Jae Rim, and an angry Ga Eul.
"You owe Oppa an apology!" Ga Eul demanded, but instead, Yi Jung walked past her and headed out of the house.
"Mrs. So did you happen to take any pills or accidentally overdosed yourself?" Jae Rim questioned as he examined Mrs. So while holding her wrist to check her pulses.
"I would know when it comes to overdose. I was just having a major headache, and a doctor gave me some medication which helped like a charm, but maybe I took a bit too much. Not too sure, but I am fine now." Jae Rim smiled as he took a quick note.
"You seem fine but I would highly suggest you get a check-up soon, if you ever need anything from me, please feel free to call me." Jae Rim handed his card to Mrs. So, "I should head back to the clinic now. I will see you all soon. If you need anything at all, please do not hesitate" Mrs. So just smiled as Jae Rim walked away and stood in front of Ga Eul "Ga Eul I will see you later, please rest okay. Oh and also please take a look at Mrs. So's medication and tell me about it too, I would like to look into it if she doesn't mind." Ga Eul nodded and with that Jae Rim headed out. Ga Eul ran up to Mrs. So and pulled her into a hug, "I am so happy you are okay!"
"How can anything happen to me now that you are part of the family" Mrs. So caressed Ga Eul's hair, with a smile pasted on her lips.
Watching from afar, a figure with narrowed brows cursed in their head 'he promised me something else and broke the deal' soon after the figure headed out of the house.
Preview of Next Chapter:
"This was not part of the deal! You told me you would make sure she stays in a coma!" A figure shouted in the clinic with clenched hands.
"I promised I would help you get Yi Jung and Ga Eul apart, I can never hurt anyone that Ga Eul loves. I merely gave Mrs. So some sleeping pills, of course, you helped by continuing to give her the pills so she stays asleep" Jae Rim replied with a smirk on his face as he sat down in front of his table.
"I will tell Yi Jung everything!"
"Go ahead, you are lucky the butler didn't get to say your name. Imagine if he did, where would you be then?" Jae Rim rubbed his chin then motioned to his cabinet with a smile, pulling out a remote. Clicking a button his tv turned on playing a video. The figure turned around and watched the video in shock
'I want Yi Jung's mother to suffer and stay in a coma forever, this will weaken Yi Jung and his foundation and finally, all his riches will be mine…'
The figure turned around as the video came to an end "you didn't.."
"You aren't the only one who knows how microphones and cameras work.."
