Chapter 82 Planning for the Future

"

Allie Lowen paced in her snug little home angry that Clay was keeping her waiting. She was sure he did it deliberately. Finally, she heard his bike. She peered out the window to make sure it wasn't another member of SAMCRO.

Clay was a tough looking man and she liked that about him, but she knew that he had no more feeling for her than a piece of paper. He was dangerous and she didn't trust him as far as she could throw him. He scratched an itch and that was all. Afterwards, she felt dirty and that worked for her too in some sick way.

She cursed the day she'd let him bribe her into tanking Jax's defense. If she'd not taken his money, she wouldn't be in the mess she was in. Well, he'd gotten her into this and he could damned well get her out.

She opened the door before he could knock and he brushed past her so roughly, he almost knocked her off her feet.

"What's so damned urgent?" Clay demanded.

"I have to do a deposition on Friday as part of Jax's new attorney's investigation into my defense."

"So?" he asked, still wearing his sunglasses.

"I can't lie. He's got all kinds of documents that will trip me up. Jax has got to die this week. The sooner the better. Isn't he supposed to be back from his honeymoon by now?"

"They extended it. They are going to be back today."

"Perfect. Jax has got to die."

"Kill him then," Clay said.

"I can't do that."

"Find someone who can. Maybe that great fake nurse that failed to kill him in the hospital could do it. Don't expect me to do it."

"Ir's your fault I'm in this mess."

Clay grabbed by her shoulders and got in her face.

"You took the money, so you're not an innocent victim," he snarled. "Get yourself out of it anyway you can."

"You know Clay, I just might do that," Allie said giving her voice a low menacing tone.

"You threatening me?"

"I'm saying that you damned well better take care of Jax. If he's dead it solves your problems with him challenging you at the table. Killing Jax solves some of my legal problems and it solves your MC problem with him. Jax's death benefits both of us."

Clay grabbed Allie by the neck and lifted her off her feet.

"No, you deal with Jax on your own or I will deal with you."

He dropped her to the ground. She was terrified that he was going to kill her, but she'd never wanted him more.

"Find someone and I'll pay for the hit," Lowen said.

"The only killer for hire I know is in SAMCRO. Just go to the damned deposition and refuse to say anything."

"I can't. It's not a criminal case," Lowen said impatiently.

"You have two options that won't land you in a grave in Chigger Woods—kill Jax or figure out a way to lie and keep my name out of it. Say the ATF or the prosecutor pressured you. I don't give a shit what you have to do to get out of this as long as you keep my name out of it."

"Fine. I'll come up with something," she said angrily.

By the end of the week either Lowen or Jax would be dead. That was the only way Clay could see out of this mess.

"Get on your knees," Clay ordered before unzipping his pants.

He might as well get his dick sucked before he went home to Gemma
