A/N: A quick silly little fic with Louis's pov on Darvey. Will definitely try and write another one with Louis because I just know he's seen a lot over the years, despite only really getting close to Donna and Harvey later on. Hope you guy's enjoy!

The One Where Louis Finds Out

Louis was having fun. He had just bought himself a cat that brought him tremendous joy, he was earning high billables for the firm, he was attending the firm's party tonight that he just found out Hardman was not going to attend due to a family emergency. All was well in Litt's Universe. He even got to see Donna Paulsen look radiant in a black long sleeve sparkly dress that was backless and accentuated her tall figure, making her look like a black swan from his favourite ballet show. When he greeted her with similar words, she beamed at him in reply. "Flattery my friend, will get you everywhere." She then directed him to where Harvey was and the three of them formed a side party of sorts, sharing stories about their coworkers and bosses.

Louis laughed along with Donna and Harvey as they stood next to the relatively crowded bar at the firm's annual winter party. The bartender finally came back with Donna's order of a dirty martini, and placed it on the far right, closer to Louis and Harvey than Donna. She sighed as she leaned over Harvey's body, her hand placed on his shoulder to steady herself in the crowded position, as her red hair obscured his view and she tilted forward to reach her drink. Louis was about to mention another funny anecdote about Hardman when his eyes caught sight of Harvey inhaling deeply, almost nuzzling the side of Donna's neck. At first, Louis was waiting for a snide comment from Harvey to drop. Louis had seen Harvey hit on enough women at events like these to know how it goes, so he assumed Harvey was going to make some sultry joke about Donna's scent - except it never came. Instead, he looked like a fool in love as his eyes fluttered slightly, taking in what he was sure to be an intoxicating scent of Chanel number five and pheromones. This was clearly different. This was Donna. As soon as Donna grabbed her drink and leaned back into her original position she left to go mingle with other people and Louis pounced on Harvey.

"Oh my god, you love her."

Harvey looked taken aback. "What? No I don't Louis."

Louis didn't even bring up the fact he hadn't mentioned Donna by name, and yet Harvey assumed it was her.

"Yes you do! You love Donna Paulsen." Louis's voice rang with excitement and surprise at the declaration.

Harvey looked around, as if he was making sure no one was overhearing them- It was a firm party of all their colleagues and clients after all.

"Shh! You're way off Louis as always you don't get-"

"When it comes to the matter of the heart Harvey I think we both know I'm as experienced as they come."

Harvey scoffed in reply. "Matters of the heart? Jesus Louis you couldn't even talk to Monica Eaton without puking halfway."

"That's about being suave with women, not dealing with emotions, fair one. This is great, why don't you tell her?"

Harvey shook his head "There's nothing to tell Louis this is all in your head."

"But Donna is amazing! Hell, she could even do better than the great Harvey specter." Harvey flinched at those words. Louis had known Donna for a short amount of time and already he's god damn smitten with her. In an asexual, she should be worshipped at the L'ouvre type of way, of course.

Harvey tilted his clenched jaw slightly before responding to Louis. "Exactly. You just said it there ok, that's why I don't tell her."

"Oh you're full of shit! Harvey Specter doesn't think he's not worthy of anyone or anything, you're just saying that to shut me up."

Harvey smiled a little to himself, secretly glad he can always count on Louis to talk his way out of being right with his worries and anxieties.

"You got me Louis."

Louis frowned and shook his head "You're a fool. Donna is a goddess among us. You should be so lucky to be in love with someone like that."

"Louis. I agree ok? Donna is amazing but it's not like that between us. I promise you."

Louis doesn't know how to pick up on social cues often. He doesn't realize half the time that what Harvey says was meant sarcastically or jokingly or to mess with him and when he does say something sincere Louis usually missed the mark and ended up thinking he was lying. But Louis fully believed Harvey in that moment because Harvey sounded like Louis does whenever he thinks of his crushes, or when he has to tell god damn Esther who thinks he's a senior partner that he's not yet. Or when his mom and dad believe he and Jessica Pearson are best buds and he tells them they aren't but takes it back when they didn't hear him and lies about how successful he is- Like he's upset about the reality of the situation. Harvey sounded resound to the reality of the situation.

He wasn't sure if Harvey believed his own words or not but Louis knew that Harvey definitely felt something towards his secretary.

"Ok harvey." Louis was about to open his mouth and add one more piece of thoughtful advice - when Donna waltzed back to them, looking slightly concerned.

"Louis , I think you need to get Norma a cab or her inhaler. She said you knew where it was?" Donna asked confusedly, her eyes slightly wide as she addressed him.

Louis heard Harvey snort a little into his drink to his left.

"God damn Norma. Cant take her anywhere." Louis mumbled as he brought out his epipen that he always had with him after the fiasco of '07 New Year's Eve party.

As he left to deal with Norma Donna walked over to take his place next to Harvey. He overheard her address him. "You're lucky the Norma thing came up to rescue you from Louis. What were you guys talking about? You looked like you needed saving big time." Her voice was slightly teasing. Louis heard Harvey snort in response.

"You have no idea, and you definitely don't wanna know."

Louis shook his head slightly to himself thinking Donna would most definitely wanna know.

Louis then spotted Noma look like she was about to kneel over the bar of raw fish and cause a fiasco. "Oh my god Norma! Look alive, fall backwards not forwards! Shit." Louis scampered to get to her quicker, forgetting all about his new perspective on Harvey and Donna's dynamic.
