The Knight got to the top of the cliffs and looked forward, they were so tall they could see the lights of Dirtmouth, although it wasn't much of a spectacle.
They checked again to see if Cornifer was alright, and he gave them a small wave.
The Knight was feeling on top of the world, they felt happy.
They walked along the cliffs and to King's Pass.
They looked down the drop and figured it was too small for them to crawl through, so they had to jump.
Just as they were getting ready to jump, they felt a pain in their head. It was mild at first, but a few seconds later it turned into the most searing pain The Knight had ever felt.
They dropped Cornifer and placed both their hands on their head. Cornifer didn't get hurt but he was extremely confused.
He looked up at the giant, they started to move around clumsily, their footsteps shaking the ground.
The pain had gotten worse somehow, every sharp object that pierced them, every spell that hit them, nothing came close to this pain.
The Knight couldn't take it anymore.
They let out a massive roar, one which echoed through the entire Kingdom, loud and full of pain.
Then The Knight dropped to the floor, the ground shook beneath them.
They could only see Cornifer rushing to them before everything went black.
It was like when they were asleep, the black emptiness and the uncanny feeling of nothing.
However, this time they were fully aware, it was all surreal to them, there was no numbness or smothered hearing.
They were ripped from the plain to another world, The Knight gathered that this was another vision.
They got dragged to a town of sorts, it was extremely big, the buildings were high, but they have all crumbled down.
A red shade seem to go over the Knight's vision, but they soon gathered that this was not an illusion, the entirety of this town was bathed in red.
Everywhere they looked it was all decayed and cracked. The sky looked as if there was a massive fire above.
And The Knight could feel it all, feel the hot, fiery wind rushing around them, hear the falling buildings.
They looked around some more and discovered the remains a creature. It seemed to be the creature they had seen in their other dreams, but it's body was mutilated.
Then they heard other creatures run past, these ones didn't look anything like the others.
Their skin was red and has a leather look to them, their hands were more like claws and they had a mouth that could rip something apart.
They ran in a hunched over position, and they were quite fast.
The Knight heard more noises and looked around.
They found another odd looking creature, it had the build of a weaver, but it's legs were metallic, and the head was pink and moist. A stinger-like attachment protruded from behind.
The Knight was thankful they didn't have to put up with these monsters.
More creatures appeared, these ones looking slightly more like the creatures from their first two dreams, but they were rotten and grey, and they had an odd box on their arm.
More noises followed, it sounded like the red creature, but this time it sounded like a cry for help.
Sharp guttural noises from what The Knight thought must be another monster followed. They saw one of the grey creatures being thrown from behind a mound of rubble.
Then another monster showed itself, it didn't like the others. It was moving around quick, every monster that came in it's way was killed, and gruesomely at that.
The Knight couldn't stop watching as this new monster ripped apart, blew open, or decapitated everything that it came into contact with.
It's build was more that of the grey creatures, but it was surrounded by a green armor, and a helmet that had a black section that it could see through. Their left arm had a blade that seemed slice through anything.
The Knight got ripped away and place in what looked like another world, this one was more enclosed and the building they were in was made entirely out of metal. Again, they saw the green monster rip apart the others, but this time, they were quicker, dashing around and dodging the others attacks.
Ripped away again, they saw the green monster decapitate a hunched over, purple monster, wielding a staff.
It was all going a bit too fast for The Knight.
Ripped away again, they saw the green creature in a large room, it had a platform in the center of it and nothing below but a steep drop. The platform had a lava like liquid flowing it, with small bolts coming shooting out.
They watched the green creature dipped what looked like the handle of a nail into it, then slowly pulling out a blade that The Knight could only hope to ever wield. Bolts shot out of the nail, it was a bright red and it seemed to be made out of an extremely hot fire.
Ripped away again, they felt a chill breeze go over them, they looked around and was taken aback to see that there was no world.
Only a sky with floating platforms. The Knight couldn't stop looking around, it looked magnificent. A mix of blues and yellows, bright stars everywhere. Their attention got attracted to the green creature yet again, as it seemed to stand off with a much larger creature floating in the air. It's wings were bright yellow and it hurled lightning at the green creature.
The Knight sat and watched the entire thing unfold.
Before they could see the fight end, they got ripped away into what seemed like the first world they were in. The Knight was on top of one of those towers they saw, with a massive beast looming over them.
It had an elongated face and stubby horns that came out of its head.
They watched the horned beast battle with the green creature, shooting massive fireballs out of a symbol cut in it's head.
Yet again the green creature managed to best this monster, and it fell onto the building.
They watched the green creature run to its head, jump up and unsheathe its fiery sword.
It looked majestic, but before The Knight could see the killing blow, they got ripped out of the world again.
They found themselves back in the dark plain, endless nothing.
The Knight couldn't just brush this off as a fever dream, it felt so real, all the cries they could hear clearly, and the fire they could feel burning them.
It frightened The Knight, ironically, it made them feel small and helpless.
They sat there, looking out at nothing, wishing that all of this would go away.
Why couldn't they just be normal?
Why did fate have to shove them into this?
All they wanted was to help.
