Chapter 124 Mission Possible
"
Jax's first thought was to throw out Zobelle on his suit coated ass, but another thought occurred to him.
"Sack!" Jax called.
Sack ran over to Jax immediately. Basic prospect procedure was when a member called, you ran to the member. He was so damned close to making patch, he wasn't about to screw it up now by being too slow.
"You still want to make patch?" Jax asked rocking back on his heels, a faint smile on his face.
"You know it."
"Prove it. Your mission and you have no choice but to accept it is to get into Zobelle's car and get a handgun from it. Wear your gloves so you don't disturb any prints and put it in the pocket of your cut."
"What if there's no gun?"
"He's a gangster. Look under the front seats on the driver and passenger's side, center console and glove compartment. And if there isn't one, I guess you don't make patch."
Sack thought that over for a few moments. It made sense that gangsters always had guns in their cars. He couldn't think of anyone who had a car that didn't have a gun hidden somewhere.
"OK. Do I have to be sneaky or can I just be direct and knock the guy on the head?"
"I don't give a damn. You can use any of SAMCRO to help you except me or you can show how big your balls are and just knock the guy at the car out. You've got ten minutes and then I'm kicking that Zobelle douche the fuck out of here."
"I won't let you down," Sack promised.
Sack went over and spoke quickly to Happy and got some zip ties from him and then asked Chibs and Juice to keep Zobelle and his crew away from the car because he was doing a project for Jax. Next he ducked inside the clubhouse and grabbed a bar rag before returning outside.
He wasn't worried about handling the guy at the car; he was worried about there not being a gun in it. He put on his leather riding gloves and decided to show Jax just how big his balls were by just approaching the guy and knocking him out. He'd been the Junior Lightweight Champion of the Army-Navy back in his army days. All he needed was a little stealth.
The guy at the car was standing by the passenger's side door smoking a cigarette. Sack played the Mission Impossible theme music in his head to put him in the proper frame of mind. He had one thing that Tom Cruise didn't have—height. He smiled to himself.
Silently, he crept up behind the man before tapping him on the shoulder. The man turned and Kip punched him knocking him to the ground. He zipped tied his hands and stuffed the bar rag in the man's mouth before opening the front passenger's car door. He ducked low, keeping his head below the dashboard as he searched for the gun Jax was sure was in the car. And there it was under the front driver's seat just like Jax said. He slipped the gun in his cut, shut the car door and stared down at the still unconscious man.
It's a rough life when you're a gangster and Jax didn't like Zobelle and his crew, so Sack gave the guy a couple of wake up kicks before leaving him still zip tied and gagged on the ground.
He caught Jax's eye and touched his cut pocket. Jax nodded and motioned for him to come over. He caught the eye of the other guys and he gave a subtle nod in the direction of Zobelle.
"What did you do to his guy?" Jax asked Sack.
"Gave him a nap."
Jax chuckled appreciatively.
"Let's get these douches out of here."
Jax walked over to Zobelle with Opie and Chibs on either side of him. Happy, Tig and Kozik were on one side with Bobby, Sack and Piney on the other side surrounding Zobelle and his guys.
"Get out of here and take your trash with you," Jax said indicating the two men standing on either side of Zobelle.
"What? I thought this was a party for everyone," Zobelle drawled.
"If I have to tell you again, it's going to get rough," Jax said soft menace in his voice. "Get out and don't ever come back. And you can save yourself a lot of pain and misery if you clear out of Charming."
"Or what?" Zobelle asked with a sneer.
"You'll see."
"OK," Zobelle said walking to his Mercedes SUV. They found the guy who was with the car on the ground. "What the hell is this?" Zobelle demanded. "Who zip tied and gagged him?"
"No idea," Jax said with mock innocence.
Zobelle got into his SUV, started the engine and lowered the window an inch or two.
"Teller," Zobelle said loudly, "we've got your old lady. My guys are going to show her a real good time. She's going to get ripped up inside and she'll never be the same, but she won't be dead. She'll just wish she was." He smiled as he slammed his foot down on the accelerator and departed burning rubber before Jax could get to the SUV.
Happy, Chibs and Bobby jumped on their bikes and tore out of TM chasing after Zobelle.
The color drained from Jax's face. He reached into his cut and grabbed his phone and called Ava. It rang and rang before going to voice mail.
"She isn't answering," Jax said.
"Ava's got a tracker on her phone for security reasons," Opie said checking his phone. "It says she's at home. I'm calling security."
Jax paced while he waited. It was possible Ava could be taking a shower and hadn't heard her phone.
"Security said she never got home," Opie said ending the phone call with security.
Where the hell was Ava?

Author's Note: I hope I don't offend or insult anyone, but I had an unfortunate experience in a Tara/Jax story I completed called Fighting Destiny under the name AlwaysWrite2Much. I didn't want to mention this near the end of that story because I didn't want to insult or offend reviewers and regretted it. I had a reader who was really kind about reviewing but unfortunately, she gave away this huge twist near the end. I didn't say anything because it was a posted name review so there was no way for her to do anything about it and I didn't want to make her feel bad.
I love it when readers review. It means a lot to me even if the review isn't positive. I can learn from what isn't working in the story and that helps me. Please just be careful about plot points you mention in a review. If you need or want to talk about the plot development, you can always PM me and I always message back.
Thanks and I hope you aren't insulted. I'm just trying to protect some of the upcoming plot developments, my story and the reading experience.
