Ello Lovely's!

I would like to apologize for the last post I did for this story. On my computer I had two different stories that the updates had very similar titles on my computer. I have since fixed the post and hope that you all enjoy the chapter and enjoy this next one as well. I do not own Harry Potter or any of the original characters.

Cardia came flying off her sweat soaked pillow, the sound of a inhuman laughter ringing in her head. Blinking she looked around the room, she was in her bed in the Ravenclaw dorms. She hasn't had a good restful sleep for the last week after Malfoy destroyed Harry her Doe that she kept on her bed infront of the school. Sure he was given detention by the prefects of Ravenclaw, but she believed he didn't care. She couldn't figure out why she could never get along with majority of the pure-blood children that belong to the families close to her grandparents. It was like something drew her towards others and repelled her when it came to some.

With Malfoy it started when he mentioned the slur, MudBlood at the first party she went to. The word caused her to feel as though he was speaking it to her and she was saddened as well as filled with rage. She wanted to either punch him or dump her tea over his head. She chose to dump her tea on his head, since punching was uncouth and un lady like as she had been told. Her grandmother would have scolded her more so if she had punched the Malfoy Heir. That was the first night she had ever heard the inhuman laughter in her sleep and when she awoke she hurried to look at her wrist as if something was there. Upon searching, she found nothing on her pale clean wrist, except long red scratches from scratching in her sleep.

But this time she didn't have her dad here to comfort her as he had done many other times she had woken to the haunting laughter in her dreams. Cardia quietly got out of bed and slipped on her slippers and the robe at the end of her bed. As she did, she saw Umbridge sleeping there peacefully. Cardia knew that the other girl hadn't liked her, and she had the same distain towards the toad faced girl. Umbridge was another person that she couldn't control how she felt, upon meeting the girl Cardia felt the immediate dislike for her. Grabbing her wand and casting a quick sticking charm to the girls blankets, she left the dorm room.

She sat on the plush sofa and watched as the fire came to light infront of her. The common room had a simple charm placed on it that the fire would stay lite till the last student left and would come to life as soon as a student sat down in the common area. Cardia drew her knees to here chest and thought about a few things. She loved being in Ravenclaw like her mother was before her, but she was slightly upset that she wasn't a Gryffindor for some reason and the Hats thoughts where just as interesting.

I see you have already lived a life of torture, now you've been chosen to re-write the wrongs of the life you've lived. Gryffindor may have suited you then but now your Intelligence shines brighter then your Bravery, as does your Kindness. Intelligent as Ravenclaw and as Kind as Hufflepuff; but I think one will fit you better. Better be…..

What did the hat mean by she had lived a life of torture? Could that be why she hears that laughter in her dreams? Or why some nights she wakes from seeing lights flash of green and red. There where so many questions in her head that she researched many topics to try to figure out what the blasted hat meant. Her only lead was Fates Reincarnation, which was a legend. She wasn't sure if she could but her faith in a legend such as that one. But many say legends derive from truths.

Fate's Reincarnation happens when the Fates of magic intervene at the time of ones death. As it has never been proven there is no real stock in this legend. But there are stories from the ancient's that state the Fates only have one chance to perform the Fates Reincarnation and only when the amount of magical blood spilt and the scales of light and dark have tipped into the darkness to the point that they could never be rebalanced.

Cardia shook the passage out of her head, not 100 percent believing what it had said. Seeing as though her father had taken her to a Master of Occlumency to see if they could find the reasons for the laughter in her head. They where never able to find any answers due to her natural mind fighting back against another in her mind. The Master spoke that she was one of a very few that could naturally fight back with out practicing Occlumency, and suggested that it might be a figment of her imagination. Cardia had an intelligent and creative imagination that her father nurtured as her displays of accidental magic became creative. Once she had came to her dad to introduce him to the imaginary friends she created before she meat Alphrad Black, Charlus Potter and Percival Weasley. Cardia knew she called them Harry and Ron, but never knew where she came up with their names.

As Cardia was lost in thought, she hadn't noticed that the sun began to come up. She was pulled from her thoughts when the 5th year Prefect gently shook her shoulder to gain her attention.

"Morning Zanfillius." Cardia greeted the Heir to the Lovegood family.

"Good Morning Cardia, why are you up so early?" He asked looking at her with concern in his eyes.

"It's because her head is full of nargles, brother." A fairy like voice answered.

"What are Nargles, Prim?" Cardia asked.

"They are these creatures that flout around your ears and cloud your brain." Prim explained.

"Prim, I don't think it is Nargles that has Cardia up so early." Zanfillius chuckled.

Cardia envied the Lovegoods, they both had long blond hair, not white blond like the Malfoy's but a light golden blond. They also had light blue eyes that seem to see straight through you. Many say the eyes are windows to the soul, Compared to her own dark trusses and teal jeweled eyes.

"I couldn't sleep." Cardia explained.

"Anything I could help with that?" Zan asked.

Since Cardia and Primrose became friends their first day when Umbridge tried to tease Prim about her strange creatures Zanfillius had become older brother to both of them. And was the prefect that gave Malfoy detention for his evil prank and sat the members of Ravenclaw down to ask who would give a dorm mates possession to another person with out the owners knowledge. Finding out that Millie Umbridge's involvement was something that caused Cardia to grow more distain for the girl who she shared a dorm with.

"Well maybe we should go get you a pepper up potion to help you through the day and them maybe a dreamless sleep for tonight so you sleep through the night tonight." Zan suggested.

"That should be fine Zan." Cardia smiled.

Cardia hurried to go get dressed for classes and the three of them ventured to the Hospital wing where they found young trainee healer Madam Pumfry and the head healer of Hogwarts Madam Erif. Cardia explained that she was having trouble sleeping the night before and the healers agreed to give her a pepper up potion and instructed the Prefect to bring her back before bed to get a dreamless sleep. When they had finished, Zan escorted the girls to the great hall made sure they where settled into breakfast and went to join his friends a ways down the table. When the morning owls came flying in a school owl delivered a parcel to Cardia. Looking at Prim, she opened it half thinking that Malfoy could have sent her something to get back at her for the detentions he received for destroying her Doe. But inside was a doe stuffed animal and a note that read;

'I had charmed it to be indestructible and to curse anyone who touches it besides you.'

The note was unsigned and she couldn't help but smile and Prim laughed at the note.
