Chapter Thirty-Nine
Meanwhile outside the Foot Headquarters, Pandora and Kemeko stood on a building adjacent to the tall building and looked up at it.
Pandora glared as she looked at it.
"Here we are Kem! Enemy territory!" Pandora said "Our family, friends, and the Street Sharks are in there! But we're gonna help them!"
Kemeko didn't answer but looked up at the building.
"I don't like this, Pandora!" she replied.
"We don't have any choice Kemeko!" Pandora replied, "We have to do something!"
"I still wish Tyroth was here!" Kemeko said.
'Well, he isn't, is he?" Pandora answered "But we got to do this! We must help!"
Kemeko bit her lip and looked back at the headquarters.
"You got a plan?" she asked.
Pandora narrowed her eyes as she looked at the building.
"I think so!" she said then pointed at the building "See There? The grates? There are vents in the walls! If we can leap over and get to the vent! We can crawl in!"
"You sure that'll work?" Kemeko asked "What about cameras?"
"Can you see any?" Pandora asked as she looked up.
Kemeko looked hard then pointed at a couple on the walls before taking about some kuni knives and throwing them at the cameras disabling them.
"Good job!" Pandora praised then pointed to a vent opposite, "We'll jump in there and crawl inside! We then look for our family, friends, and the Sharks!"
Kemeko took a few deep breaths as she tried to calm her nerves.
She was really scared, being only eleven, even though she had been trained in ninjutsu by her father, grandpa and uncles and Kung Fu by her Aunt Monalisa as well as other fighting skills by Tyroth and the Chicago Knights, she didn't have experience in the field, fighting real enemies, and she wasn't sure how she was going to handle this, and she was relying on Pandora to be sensible as she knew the hybrid to be impulsive.
Yet she did know that Pandora, despite her recklessness would protect her as she promised she would and she knew how she would put her life on the line for her, like that time in Mutopia when confronted by the evil golden dragon Vulstrun.
Kemeko could still remember the Dragon's grip when he had held up by the throat and threatened to snap her neck, it was one of the most terrifying moments in her life, that and when she had been chased by Cobra in a vent when the Venomous Five had cornered her and her father when they were topside years ago.
"Kemeko?" her cousin's voice brought her back to earth "You ready?"
Kemeko gulped.
"I think so…" she said, her voice trembling.
"Jump on my back!" Pandora said kneeling down "I'll get us over there!"
Kemeko did as she was told and wrapped her legs around Pandora's waist and her arms around her shoulders, and the hybrid took a running jump towards the building and leapt over!
Kemeko closed her eyes as Pandora jumped and the hybrid grabbed the wall and the edge of the vent pulling the grate cover off.
Kemeko at the same time grabbed a drainpipe and slid off Pandora's back, then looked down to see several ninjas and guards patrolling the ground below, a long way down.
She quickly looked up again and swallowed hard.
"Don't look down." She thought to herself, "Don't look down!"
Pandora swung herself up into the vent and held her tail down to Kemeko.
"Come on! Quick!" she hissed and Kemeko instantly grabbed Pandora's tail and as Pandora slid into the vent, she pulled Kemeko in with her.
The vent was large enough for them, yet they could only go in single file.
Once they were inside, Kemeko exhaled in relief.
"I hope the guards outside didn't notice anything." She whispered.
"Let's hope they don't inspect the vents!" Pandora replied as she started to crawl through "Stay close behind me Kem! Hold my tail if you need to!"
Kemeko held onto Pandora's tail and followed her cousin closely.
As both girls moved through the vent, they looked out the grated gaps to see if they could see anything or anyone, but so far, all they saw were empty yet beautifully decorated hallways.
"So that's what the building inside looks like!" Pandora hissed "I have to say, they got good taste for bad guys!"
"So what?" Kemeko asked.
"Just saying!" Pandora shrugged as she kept moving.
"Do you even know where we're going?" Kemeko asked.
"Well, if the bad guys kidnap their victims, they usually take them to the dungeons, either that or the labs! I remember mum saying!" Pandora said.
"That's a good point!" Kemeko agreed.
"Keep your ears open!" Pandora said, "Maybe the ninja might say something to give away the whereabouts of everyone, or of their plans!"
"Gotcha!" Kemeko said.
Both girls crawled on a little more and before long, Pandora stopped at a grated area which led into a dojo.
She could see many ninjas sparring with each other, or simply sitting and talking, and she narrowed her eyes.
"What have you seen?" Kemeko asked to which Pandora quietly shushed her and she strained her ears to listen.
Many of the ninja were human, though the hybrid did spot a few mutated ninjas and she grimaced when she saw their hideous mouths and clawed hands.
She focused on the ninja sitting under the vent and deep in conversation, yet as she listened, she heard something very disturbing….
Back in one of the Labs, Donatello who had been trying to hack into the computer systems had managed to find a file with Paradigm's name on it.
"Guys!" he hissed "I think I got something!"
"Way da go Donnie!" Leonardo praised and Streex and Slammu quickly hurried over to see.
"What did you find?" Streex asked.
Slammu tapped his earpiece hoping to fill Bends in on the situation as he watched.
Donatello opened the file and his eyes widened as he read the document.
'Doctor's Log'
Tuesday 00.25am, Foot Headquarters.
'I am delighted to find that the formula was a success! Thanks to William's assistance, both can be used to gene slam humans into seavites and reptilian mutants respectively. The formula has been tried and tested, including creating the new Seavites, the Octopus, Barracuda, Jellyfish and Starfish by exposing the victims to the air-filled serum.
The serum has been put together in carefully prepared and timed bombs that will be distributed all over the city and when Shredder gives his orders, the whole city will be infected!
Shredder hasn't given the order yet, but if all goes to plan, the bombs will be timed to go off at Midnight tomorrow! I am so excited I cannot contain myself, once the city has been infected, we will attack the surrounding areas, and before long, the United States will be under my control! Then we move to attack the rest of the world! There is no stopping me! And those Sharks and their new allies won't be able do anything! The World is mine!'
"Typical villain talk! Always claiming victory before they even win!" Donatello snarled.
"Guys! This is really serious!" Leonardo cried in worry as he sent a text to the other group "We need to inform April, Casey, Sensei, Bends and the girls to find the bombs!"
"Man, I wish Tyroth, and the Chicago Knights were here." Donatello sighed as he tried to search the files to see if he could find the locations of the bombs and where they were possibly rigged to.
Slammu who had been tapping his earpiece frowned.
"Bends? April? Come in!" he said, then he looked at the others "I can't get into contact with them!"
"What?" everyone asked confused then Streex tried his.
"April? Bends?" he said then looked at Slammu.
"Nothing!" he said.
Leonardo and Donatello looked at each other then tried their earpieces.
"I'm not getting anything either!" Donatello said "Damn! I checked everything! What a time for my technology to go wrong!"
Leonardo took his shell-cell and tried to call their human allies, his sensei and the girls, but he couldn't get through then fear pooled in his stomach.
"Something's wrong." He said quietly.
Slammu, Streex and Donatello went pale but before anyone could say a word, a black scaley figure jumped down from the ceiling and hissed loudly making them all jump back in fright, yet Leonardo and Donatello took out their weapons and Streex and Slammu glared and got into fighting stances.
"Black Mamba!" Donatello cried.
"Hello boys!" Black Mamba smirked slicking her lips "So nice of you to drop in! And get nosy with the plans!" she added with a cackle.
The two turtles and the two sharks glowered.
"You think you can take us all on snake?" Streex asked "There's one of you and four of us!"
Black Mamba smirked again.
"What makes you think I'm alone?" she asked then clicked her fingers and Leonardo, Streex, Donatello and Slammu went pale as Slash, Repteel, Nile Monitor, the Barracuda and the Starfish appeared.
"Fuck!" Leonardo said as he gripped his katana.
"How did they even find out we were here?" Slammu asked.
"Easy!" Slash smirked.
"You really need to find a better place to park that Battle Shell of yours!" Nile Monitor cackled and the reality dawned on the four heroes.
"Oh shit!" Donatello gasped.
"No!" Slammu cried.
Leonardo felt tears form in his eyes as he thought of their friends.
"No…Kemeko!" the thought of his adopted daughter in the hands of the enemy! And she hadn't yet been told of her origins or her connection the Shredder.
"What did you do!?" Streex snarled, his eyes flashing in pure anger "You better not have harmed them!"
"Oh, they're safe! For now!" Black Mamba hissed 'But that'll change soon enough!"
"Why you…" Streex spat.
Leonardo meanwhile saw red, and he leapt into the air brandishing his katana.
"GET THEM!" Black Mamba shouted and at once, she, the seavites and Nile Monitor jumped into battle with their enemies….
Meanwhile earlier, the other group were in the other lab and Ripster had managed to find the same file Donatello had seen earlier and was downloading the content onto his phone.
"It's just like in that future we were sent to!" Jab cried "This is really bad!"
"If we don't stop them, we're royally fucked!" Michelangelo commented "We're all doomed!"
"We got to inform April, Casey, Bends and the girls about this!" Monalisa suggested "They can maybe find the bombs and get them disabled!"
"Good idea babe!" Raphael praised.
"I managed to get the locations!" Ripster informed "There are ten in total! One's located in Times Square, the other at Rockefeller Centre, One in Central Park, one at Liberty Island, one at Brooklyn Bridge, another at the United Nations, another at the Empire State Building, another at Madison Square, one at Ground Zero and the last one is in Little Italy!"
"They're all over the city!" Raphael exclaimed.
"Then let's shut this operation down before anyone gets hurt!" Jab said.
"Fat chance of that happening freaks!" a voice made the five mutants freeze in terror, Michelangelo squeak in shock, and Monalisa glared as she recognised the voice.
"Arden!" she whipped around and saw the evil doctor standing there with his arms folded, and equally cocky looking Dr Paradigm next to him along with Slobster, Killamari, Komodo Dragon, Cobra, Gila Monster, the Jellyfish and the Octopus.
"Paradigm!" Ripster snarled.
"It wasn't hard to find out you'd come here to find out what our plans are, Sharks!" Dr Paradigm smirked.
Dr Arden unfolded his arms and turned his head more and the Sharks soon saw the hideous burned left side of his face and they grimaced.
"Jesus!" Jab gasped.
"Told you he was one ugly dude!" Michelangelo said to him.
"Shut up Mike!" Raphael snapped as he gripped his sai tightly.
Monalisa took out her fans and flicked them open.
"We know of your plans Arden, Paradigm!" she growled "And you're not going to get away with this!"
"We beg to differ whore!" Dr Arden spat then held up his syringe fingers.
"You're not going to get far! You're outnumbered! And your stupid friends and Sensei can't save you either!"
The five heroes anger soon turned to confusion and Dr Arden licked his lips confirming their suspicions.
At the same time Cobra giggled and held up Pandora's meteor hammer.
"Recognise this?" she asked with a smirk.
Raphael and Monalisa gasped in horror.
"Mr Swinger!" Michelangelo shrieked.
"NO! Oh shit no!" Raphael cried "My girl!"
"My baby!" Monalisa wailed.
Ripster and Jab were equally horrified, but they glared furiously.
"How low can you sink?" Jab demanded.
"So low they're lower than dirt!" Ripster shouted.
"Enough talk!" Dr Paradigm snapped.
"Agreed!" Dr Arden nodded then pointed to the turtles, lizard and sharks "Get them!"
At once the seavites and the three members of the Venomous Five jumped into action.
At the same time, the five heroes jumped towards them ready to fight to the death.
Dr Arden prepared his syringes just in case as he watched them fight then his phone buzzed, and he pulled it out of his pocket to see a text message from Black Mamba.
'Intruders caught!'
Dr Arden turned to Dr Paradigm and his smirk got wider.
"Four down!" he hissed then looked towards the battle between the remaining sharks, Hamato Clan, the seavites and the Venomous Five.
"Five to go!" Dr Paradigm finished with a triumphant look on his face.
So Pandora and Kemeko have broken into the Headquarters and are crawling through the Vents! Let's hope they stay safe!
Same can't be said for the Sharks and the Hamato Clan! They're in deep hot water!
And bombs have been placed around the city to gene-slam the humans! This isn't good! But given the situation, can the villians be stopped?
Well you'll just have to wait and see!
