Author's Note to Readers: I am sorry that I abandon this story and many of my other uncompleted stories. I go through many phases and sometimes a long the away I loose interest and that's what happened with this one. I have recently watched Rise of The Guardians and found that I am once again interested in writing this story.
Like I have said in the past, my updates are sporadic.
While people in Burgess were in a state of panic, things in the North Pole were just being discovered about the newest Guardian.
Jack Frost was not just a winter spirit but he was also the Guardian of Fun.
His job was snowballs and fun times while keeping children safe from those times. Jack Frost had complete control of his winter powers as long as he had his staff.
Without his staff, Jack had a hard time controlling his powers and the other Guardians knew that. What they hadn't known and Jack included, the staff also helped Jack keep his strong emotions in check.
Jack also didn't know that the place he called home most of the time, was linked to his powers as well.
North was in his workshop when something came to his mind.
He had a book on all Seasonal Spirits.
Going to the library side of his Workshop, North went looking for the book. He found it a second later.
He opened the book up to the Winter Spirits and sat down at his desk to read it.
Out of all the Seasonal Spirits, the Winter Spirit is the strongest. Their powers are based around their emotions, which is why these spirits carry a staff of some sort as a conduit. Without this conduit, their power is nearly uncontrollable especially when they are unconscious.
The places that the Winter Spirit considers home is the most effected and will cause havoc without meaning to or if they are unconscious, most likely unknowingly. Even if they have their staff during that time.
It has recently been discovered that when exhausted, the Winter Spirit can fall ill and that's when they are the most vulnerable to their own kind. Rumors of others of their own kind have been known to steal territory or even the conduit itself, has been confirmed.
If you find an unconscious or a sickly Winter Spirit, make sure it has its staff.
As a side note, don't remove the Spirit from its location, protect the Spirit and its territory.
If the Spirit is unconscious or sickly and doesn't have its staff, find a new one as soon as possible. It has been known and witnessed, that their uncontrollable storms can kill.
**There is also a Rumor about Winter Spirits angering other Winter Spirits unknowingly by taking over Territory that they also consider home.
At that last sentence, North got up and went to Jack's room, hoping that the young Guardian had his staff. North didn't see the final sentence with the two asterisks.
Upon entering Jack Frost's bedroom, North saw that the Guardian of Fun was opening a closing his right hand, trying to grasp something that wasn't there.
North paled and left the room.
He walked fast to the main hall, where Jack had been blown through the window earlier, hoping that his staff was there.
North looked around but found nothing.
Crap.
This wasn't good The Russian Santa Claus thought as he went over to the Globe.
He pulled the lever to call the other Guardians back to the Pole.
Back in Burgess, Jack's uncontrolled Blizzard got worse and the fear from the Children of the small town, grew.
The Black Shadow, that little Jamie Bennet had seen in his attic, started to change more and more.
Lightning flashed over the nearly buried sleepy town and a cruel high pitched laugh could be heard, somewhere near by.
"Soon, this town and its children occupants will be mine!" The tall Black Sandman thought and once more turned back into the Shadows.
Little did the Boogeyman and the Guardians know, another Winter Spirit who Jack Frost had angered without meaning to or knowingly, but Jack Frost had recently fought with and didn't remember, had added his own power to Jack's Storm with not only his own staff but Jack's Staff as well.
Jack had unknowingly had taken over this Winter Spirit's Territory.
Turned out Jack wasn't the only Winter Spirit, Burgess considered his home.
