It was the end of school and Cody was trying to sneak out the building without being noticed by his bullies however the second he turned into another hallway three of bullies were waiting there for him.
Cody: oh…uh hey guys
Bully 1: well well well looks like someone was about to leave without saying goodbye to his buddies
Bully 2: yeah no goodbye
Bully 3: yeah we got feelings too you know especially this guy's mom wasted all his family's money on a nose job
Bully 1: SHUT UP DUMBASS!
Cody: well…it was nice to see you buys…but I gotta go… (Bully 1 stops him)
Bully 2: not so fast Sullivan
The bullies give him a huge wedgie and then stuff him in his locker and leave while laughing, fortunately the janitor got him out and Cody went home with a sore butt.
When Cody arrived home and into his house, he found a pile of letters and saw one that was addressed specifically to him.
Cody: huh I wonder who sent me this
He opens the letter to find a contract, a plane ticket and a letter that said:
Dear Cody Sullivan
We are proud to announce that you out of all the hundreds of other teens you have specifically been picked to star in our new tv show Total Drama Island. Too officially participate please sign the contract to state that you are comfortable to be on TV and mail back before June 6th if not then you will not be able to compete and will be replaced. However, if you do however mail back then on June 23rd please arrive at your designated airport and board the plane to Toronto with the plane ticket provided, once there a limousine will be waiting for you to drop you off at a harbour where a yacht will take you to the island.

Cody was speechless for a second but was so excited he quickly went to go tell his parents.
Cody: mom dad you won't believe what just came in the mail
Cody's Dad: let me guess another bill (said annoyedly)
Cody: no, I got accepted onto Total Drama Island
Cody's Mom: wait what
Cody: here look
He hands his parents the letter and they start reading it confirming it was true.
Cody's Dad: I actually don't believe it, but we can't afford this
Cody: no, you don't get it it's free so all summer I'll be on TV
Cody's Mom: wait the entire summer
Cody: yep
Cody's Mom: son can you please just step out the room for a second
Cody walked out to let his parents talk.
Cody's Mom: maybe he should do it
Cody's Dad: you know he has no chance of winning
Cody's Mom: I know but this gives us a chance to finally go on that trip to Italy we always talked about
Cody's Dad: you're right and we don't have to pay for a summer camp for him to go too so this'll be perfect, Cody you can come back in (he walks back) son we have decided that you should go
Cody: REALLY, YESSSS!
Cody gets really excited he runs back up to his room in excitement.
Cody's Mom: he's going to get badly hurt isn't he
Cody's Dad: yep
