One day, Laurel was going to the mall with her sons for some reason.
"It's going to be a long drive. Does anybody have to go to the bathroom first?" she asked.
"Nope!" the boys both said, while Barley shifted around as if he did indeed have to go to the bathroom.
"And Ian!" Laurel said. "What will you do instead of freaking out, if you get scared while we're in the mall?"
"Uh… hide behind Barley?" Ian asked.
"No," said Laurel.
While they were at the mall, Laurel bought pretzels.
Ian was looking upset.
"Ian, why do you look so upset?" Laurel asked. "Didn't you enjoy your garlic parmesan pretzel?"
"I did, but now my hands are all covered in garlic and parmesan!" said Ian. "And we have no napkins!"
"Well, maybe you can go to the bathroom and wash your hands there," said Laurel.
"NO!" Ian panicked. "The bathroom is down a long, dark hallway! I'm too scared to go there alone!"
"Well, I'm a girl, so I can't go with you," said Laurel.
"You'll just have to wipe your hands on your jeans, bro," said Barley.
"But then my jeans will be all dirty!" Ian whined.
Barley grabbed Ian's hands and wiped them on Ian's jeans.
"No, no, no!" Ian wailed.
Ian ended up getting lost in the mall.
"Oh, no! I can't find my mommy!" he said, pacing around in front of a store that Barley was in.
Barley looked out the window and smiled, but he did not move or say anything.
"Mom! Where are you, Mom? Mom!" Ian cried.
After being unable to find his mom, Ian decided to just lie down and die.
Laurel and Barley drove all the way home before noticing that Ian was gone.
"Uhh… where's Ian?" Laurel asked.
"I don't know," Barley said.
"Oh, no! I must have left him at the mall!" Laurel said. "I will have to drive back and get him."
After Laurel left, Barley suddenly got the urge to wrestle.
"Boy, oh, boy! I sure do feel like wrestling somebody right now!" he said. "But who can I wrestle with?"
Then, he saw Colt.
"Ah, great idea!" Barley said. "I don't see how this could possibly go wrong!"
Barley attempted to wrestle Colt, who got startled and accidentally knocked him unconscious.
"Oh, no! What have I done?" Colt said. "I've never knocked someone out before! What if he's dead? I've never had to deal with a dead body before!"
Of course, Barley wasn't dead. He was still very obviously breathing.
"I can't even tell if he's alive or not…" Colt said.
Meanwhile, Laurel and Ian were almost home.
"Do you think Barley missed me?" Ian said.
"I don't know," said Laurel.
Five minutes later, Colt was talking on the phone.
"I don't know what happened! I just found him like that!"
Nobody would ever know the truth!
