It had been several days since Barley and Ian had last interacted.
Barley woke up and went into the kitchen to find some breakfast.
"Oh, look!" said Laurel. "The piggy is awake."
"W-w-what?" Barley said.
"You heard me," said Laurel. "You're a pig."
"Please, Mom," Barley begged. "Don't do this again."
Laurel began making pig noises. Barley ran away, crying.
The next day, Laurel's hair was slightly longer than normal.
"Dang, gurl! Yo need to get yo hair cut!" Corey said.
"I know, I know…" Laurel said.
"Then why don't you get one?" Corey asked.
"Because… uh… shut up! That's why!" Laurel said.
"Hey!" said Corey. "Why are you being so grouchy today?"
"I'm not grouchy! I'm just sad!" said Laurel.
"Why are you sad?" Corey asked.
"Because!" Laurel cried. "Blazey is gone! I looked all over the house, but I couldn't find her!"
"Maybe she ran away, because she was sacred of your hair!" Corey said.
"That's not nice!" Laurel said.
Colt entered the house.
"Hello, The," he said.
"Oh! Ummm…. hi!" said Corey.
"Why is Laurel crying?" Colt asked. "Did you do something to her?"
"No!" said Corey. "She's just sad for some reason."
"Maybe I can cheer her up," Colt said.
He approached Laurel.
"Hey, Laurel! Wanna hear something funny?"
"I guess…" said Laurel.
"Ploice," said Colt.
Laurel laughed a little bit.
Meanwhile, Ian was bored in his room.
"Hmmm… maybe I should run and jump into the folding chair that's in my room for some reason," he said. "After all, what could possibly go wrong?"
Ian ran and jumped into the chair.
BAM!
The chair made a loud noise as it closed on him and fell to the floor.
Ian started screaming so loudly that it could be heard from outside.
"Oh, heck!" said Laurel. "What was that?"
"Heh… probably nothing," said Colt.
"I have to go check and see!" Laurel said.
"Why? He's probably just being silly as usual!" Colt said.
Ian continued screaming.
"I AM CONCERNED FOR HIS WELL-BEING!" Laurel shouted, running upstairs and knocking on Ian's door.
Ian began crying.
"Ian! Are you okay?" Laurel asked.
Ian didn't respond.
"Ian! Open the door right now!" Laurel said.
"I can't!" Ian wailed.
"What do you mean by that?" Laurel asked.
"I can't move! I'm stuck!" said Ian.
Laurel tried to open the door, but it was locked.
"Oh, no!" Laurel said. "Well, maybe Colt can kick the door down!"
"Just use a hair pin!" Colt called upstairs.
"Oh," said Laurel. "Okay."
Later that day, Ian wanted to play with Blazey for some reason.
"Mom! Have you seen Blazey?" he asked.
"Why do you ask?" Laurel snapped. "There's no reason for you to care!"
"Okay, okay!" Ian said. "I was just asking a question…"
"Weren't you going to have a friend over soon, anyways?" Laurel asked. "You can't play with Blazey and your friend at the same time!"
"No, my friend isn't coming over until tomorrow," Ian said.
"Oh, okay," said Laurel.
She was silent for a while.
"Ian? I have something to tell you…"
"Uh… yeah?" Ian said. "What is it?"
"Blazey is missing!" Laurel said. "I haven't seen her all day!"
"Oh, no!" said Ian. "I hope she's okay."
"Me, too!" said Laurel. "After all, she is my favorite child."
"I'll always remember this funny thing that she did," Ian said. "Barley was sleeping on the floor for some reason, and she wouldn't leave him alone! She kept jumping on him and licking him!"
Laurel laughed slightly. "Yep, that's my Blazey."
"You know... Barley's been gone for a while, too…" said Ian.
"Who cares? He's not cute like Blazey!" said Laurel.
A few seconds later, Barley came inside. And for some reason, he had Blazey with him!
"Hi," he said.
"OOH! BLAZEY!" Ian squealed in excitement.
Laurel glared at Barley. "Why did you kidnap Blazey?"
"I was just taking her for a walk," Barley said.
"Well, don't do it ever again!" Laurel said.
"Okay," said Barley.
He went silent for a while.
"Is something wrong?" Laurel asked.
"Yeah…" said Barley. "WHY IS YOUR HAIR SO LONG TODAY?"
The End
