The weekend had gone far too quickly for her liking. She was up bright and early at the great hall having breakfast. She had woken up early to avoid everyone. She tried to fight the blushing of her cheeks when she thought about what had happened on the weekend with Fred and George. She didn't regret it - not one but, but this was a new situation, and she was certain that dating two guys - let alone twins would be frowned upon, even in the wizard of world.

Slowly the Gryffindor table started to fill up, Harry, Hermonie, Ron and Ginny were the first lot down from her usual group that she would hang around with.

Ginny quickly sat down next to Rose, "it's all over the school," Ginny told her in shock and Rose felt her eyes widen, "that you beat up pansy because of Luna Lovegood."

Rose relaxed slightly, "so that's her name!"

Ginny laughed, "you didn't even know her name and you beat a girl up?"

Rose smiled, "I knew it was Lovegood," she took a sip of her drink, "and yeah I did." Rose laughed with Ginny and Hermonie frowned from across the table.

"You could have got expelled," Hermonie told her.

"That's worse than death," Ron chimed in, sniggering and making Rose, Harry and Ginny chuckle quietly avoiding Hermonie's gaze.

Harry was sat next to Rose and she turned her attention to Harry - chatting to him about the weekend and what Snape had said during detention when she saw Fred, George and Lee Jordan walking into the great hall - she could feel her heart quicken and felt a sense of warmth towards the twins. She caught their eye contact and it was obvious that the moment they had walked into the great hall they had spotted her, she smiled brightly at them and Fred returned the smile whilst George gave her a small wink. Just as the boys sat down near them the owls started flying in dropping today's post off. To Rose's surprise a letter and parcel dropped down in front of her.

Curiosity got the better of Rose and she opened the parcel first and revealed her old violin that she had left at the foster home. She read the note, "surprised this didn't burn down too, hope you keep this safe and see you in the summer. -Ridgemont House"

Rose felt a pang of sadness fill her body, "What's Ridgemont house?" Harry asked trying to be quiet but it was very clear that all the Weasley's and Hermonie were listening - even if they were pretending they weren't.

"It's the children's home I grew up in," Rose said, "well kinda, I was in and out there a lot. When you were with the Dursley's I was here, and then at foster homes and then back there." Rose could feel the guilt coming off Harry, "I really didn't want to go back, but you know needs must."

She quickly turned her attention and opened the letter and smiled, it was from Hagrid asking her to come for tea after classes to see him as he wanted to know how her first day of broom class was.

"This is humiliating," Rose mumbled to Harry, "I still can't believe they are making me learn to ride a broom with the first years."

"You never know love," George said, "you might be a natural and be the newest edition to the quidditch team."

"Or just be bloody terrible," Fred added in laughing. "But I'm sure it's great," Fred said quickly after being nudged by Hermonie.

Rose groaned and buried her face into her hands, at this point she didn't care who saw her like this, she felt terrible – the realisation that she would once again be on her own by the summer – and even though it was a long way off and she hadn't even made it to December yet, it still filled her up with dread. Rosalie's miserable thoughts however were interrupted by a dreamy voice, "excuse me," Rose looked up and saw Luna Lovegood standing behind Ron and Hermonie on the opposite side of the table looking at her, "hello Rose,"

"Hi Luna," Rose said smiling at her, but before she could even finish her sentence Luna started talking again.

"I just wanted to thank you for the other day," she said dreamily once more.

"Honestly Luna, its not a problem. I'm sure you would have done the same for me,"

"No, I wouldn't have," Luna said quickly, this statement causing the group around Rose to snigger slightly, "but that's what makes me think it was so great." Luna added brightly at the end and without saying another word Luna walked off.

"Honestly, she's so weird." Ron said laughing when Luna was out of earshot and Hermonie and Ginny nodded.

"I think she's so cool," Rose said smiling, "Luna!" Rose shouted standing up making her turn around, "wait for me!" Rose said her goodbyes to everyone and ran off after Luna leaving everyone looking at her weirdly.

This had officially been the worst day ever; Rose was fighting back the tears by the time she had left her flying lesson. She was definitely the world's worst flyer in all of history and she knew it. What made it worse for her is all she kept hearing was Madam Hooch saying 'I'm surprised you're so bad at this, your brother and father were amazing flyers.' That one sentence kept repeating itself over and over and over again. She desperately wanted to cancel on Hagrid, but that then meant going back to the common room and she couldn't face Harry or the twins or anyone else who would ask her how flying lessons went. The only saving grace is that she had been grouped with a load of first years who loved her since she protected them from unnecessary bullying a week or so ago. She was expecting the first year Slytherins to make a comment, but she heard one of them muttering 'that's the girl who beat up Pansy Parkinson,' and they all agreed to not say anything in case they too got beaten up.

Rose had made her way to Hagrid's hut, the moment she knocked on the dog she could hear Fang barking away and Hagrid telling him to calm down, he opened the door and beamed down at Rose, "ah Rosalie, come on in," he said opening the door wider for her to come, "I'm just making a pot of tea, sit down. "Would you like a rock cake?" He asked now placing a plate of rock cakes into the middle of the table.

"Thank you Hagrid," she said smiling up at him.

"Now how was ya flying lesson?" Hagrid said joyfully as he turned his back and got some mugs down and sorted out the tea, "I bet you're a natural – just like Harry!"

Rose could feel the lump in her throat becoming more prominent as she tried to swallow back the tears. She could feel the tears prickling down her face now and it was no good, she couldn't stop the tears. "Oh Hagrid!" Rose cried, causing Hagrid to jump and Fang to quickly scamper his way towards her placing his head on her lap to stroke trying to offer some reassurance to her by the looks of it. "It was terrible," she sobbed, "I'm terrible!"

"Oh dear," Hagrid said quickly fetching out a hankey out of his pocket and passing to Rose.

"Thank you," Rose sobbed a little less now, using the hankey to dry her tears up as Hagrid placed two cups of tea on the table and plonking himself down on the chair.

"Now don't be too hard of ye'self!" Hagrid said seriously, "you Rosalie Potter are something else!" Rosalie continued to dry her eyes with the hankey and allowed Hagrid to continue talking, "you only found out about your powers not so long ago, and from all accounts you are a talented witch!"

"You really think so?" Rose asked quietly.

"I don't think so, I know so" Hagrid said, "I was speaking to Professor McGonagall only this morning who was telling me how well you are doing!" This made Rosalie feel slightly better. "Plus, from what I've heard going round the school from all the first years, they think you're amazing!"

Rosalie chuckled, "Saviour of the first years!" Hagrid chuckled too,

"Plus, its nice that there is someone who looking out for people who don't feel like that they belong!" Hagrid nodded, "I know I needed someone like that and then Professor Dumbledore came along," Hagrid paused, "I know I'm different but he didn't seem to mind! Can you keep a secret?"

Rose nodded, "cross my heart," she said, "girls scout honour!" Hagrid frowned at her statement, clearly he didn't get the reference and Rose really found it difficult to understand how witches and Wizard's didn't use these references in every day life.

"Well, you can't go around telling anyone this and I'm trusting you Rose. Not even Harry, Ron or Hermonie know this. But I'm half giant – on my mothers' side." Hagrid paused for a moment, "and let's just say I haven't been welcomed by many people throughout the years."

"Well, I think you're amazing Hagrid!" Rose beamed at him, "and don't tell anyone this but you're by far my favourite teacher!"

Hagrid and Rose continued chatting for another hour or so before they realised the time and saw it was getting dark, Hagrid told her he would walk her up to the castle and she told him that there was no need, but he wasn't having any of it, plus he needed to have a word with Professor Dumbledore anyway. Once at the entrance of the Castle Hagrid and Rose said their goodbyes and she started walking towards the Great Hall to get some food. She was relieved that she had someone like Hagrid here, he was one of the closest father figures she had if she was to be completely honest. Rose had written to Mr Weasley a couple of times, but he had written to her first checking in and making sure that she had a good first week and since then they had been writing once a week to each other. She did know one thing, she was definitely keeping the snog with the twins out of this weeks letter.

Rosalie was now lost in her thoughts of turmoil, how on earth would Molly and Arthur react if they found out. How would Harry react! Or Ginny and Ron, she definitely knew that Hermonie would disapprove – but that was mainly because she disapproved of most things. "Rose!" a voice snapped her out of conflicting thoughts and she turned to the direction of it and saw Draco Malfoy walking up the corridor, he was smirking – why was he always smirking. "I heard you didn't inherit your famous brother's flying skills."

Rosalie frowned, "No, I heard I fly more your style Draco," she faked a smile at him and the next thing she saw confused Rosalie even more, Draco laughed at her joke. "Now Draco, if that's all?" She said turning herself round to start walking towards the Great Hall again.

"I didn't expect you to get this moody over it Potter," Draco grumbled who was now clearly showing his annoyance.

Rose sighed, "Sorry Draco, I'm not meaning to take it out on you. It's just you're the one who's come here to gloat!"

Draco looked shocked and Rose was trying to figure out what he was most shocked about, the fact that she apologised, or she could see straight through him. "I've not come here to mock you at all Rose," Draco said seriously, "I've come to offer some help!" Rose now frowned and confusion was spread across her face, "I don't like your choice of friends at all, nor do I like your brother who thinks he's too good for everyone else or-," Draco stopped mid-sentence. "The point I am trying to make is that I find your company tolerable and if you need any assistance let me know."

Rose looked at him sceptical, "and what's in it for you?" she questioned him and Draco now laughed.

"Well since your little fight with Pansy, she has been too busy in detention with Professor Snape to bother me." Rose now smiled – Professor Snape really did look into it, "and for someone to give me that kind of gift is the best gift I could ask for." Draco paused for a moment, "but there is one condition."

"And that's?" Rose asked crossing her arms across her chest, she swears to God if that boy suggests anything crossing the line she would kick his ass.

"I don't want anyone else knowing that I'm helping you." Draco said, "I'm also sure you wouldn't want Potter or those Weasels to know either!"

"Weasleys!" Rose corrected him and Draco frowned at her,

"I know their name!" he now practically spat,

"Then use their name!" Rose said bluntly, "you wouldn't like it if I called your friends insulting names. Don't call my friends insulting names – or just don't bring them up!"

Draco sighed and rolled his eyes, "Rose, you're infuriating."

"Thanks," Rose said laughing, "I think I get it from my dad."

Rose had managed to dive in and out of the Great Hall without being seen by many people. She managed to eat – grab extra food and get out of the hall before her brother and his friends came, or her usual group of friends which included the twins, Angelina, Katie, Alicia and Lee. She grabbed the food and made her way down to the lake and once again going to her usual spot under the tree and she could see Paddie already sat there waiting for her. The moment she came into view she could see him wagging his tail at her. "Oh Paddie," Rose greeted the dog, "I've had such a bad day!" She laid the food out for the dog and continued chatting, "I wonder if they have gotten me confused and I'm not really a Potter," this caused Paddie to stop eating and stare at her – Rose was becoming more and more convinced that Paddie knew exactly what she was saying. "I don't get how both my dad and Harry could be so good at flying, and I'm just – well terrible." She sighed, giving the dog a quick scratch behind the ear and sat herself down leaning against the tree.

Rose sat there in silence for a moment closing her eyes and just enjoying the silence surrounding her, she needed this moment more than anything today. She opened them again and saw that Paddie had finished his food and was looking straight at her, "what makes it worse too is I know after this school year I'm having to go back to Ridgemont," Paddie tilted his head to the side, "oh!" Ros said quickly, "that's a children's home where people go when they don't have families, I'm basically at an orphanage as you would call it." The dog now moved closer, licking the side of Rose's face which Rose assumed was trying to give some sort of comfort or reassurance. "It's okay though Paddie," she told him, "it's not all that bad!" She sighed, "I mean its not as nice as being adopted into a family – but no one really wanted me. Weird stuff just always followed me around and now I kinda know why." Paddie gave her another lick and then positioned himself so that his head was on Rose's lap.

"You're going to love the day we have planned," George said wrapping his arm around Rose's shoulder as they walked through the corridors.

"Plus, we sorted out your Harry problem," Fred said winking, "he has the map!"

"You two are bloody brilliant," Rose said taking hold of Fred's hand and giving it a big squeeze.

Over the last few weeks, Rose had become more relaxed around Fred and George with whatever dynamic was going on between them. She was quite relieved that they had been so close from the start of their friendship that no one really questioned her when she was cuddling into either one of them or if she was leaning against Fred in the common room sofa with her legs over George's lap because that had always been the norm for them.

However, now was their first official date and she had no idea what to expect. She could feel the butterflies in her stomach, and she was wracked with nervousness. She knew this didn't make any sense, she had kissed both of them now, and its not like she had only kissed them the once – they had stolen quick kisses in empty corridors or when the common room was completely empty or even when they had snuck out to play pranks on Filtch – so for her to be this nervous should have been impossible.

"Did we mention by the way," Fred said snapping Rose out of her thoughts, "how hot you look today?"

"Gorgeous even," George chimed in,

"Absolutely beautiful!" Fred added. "I bet every guy now wishes that they had asked you to come to Hogsmeade with them now."

Rose smiled, "thanks guys," she laughed, "So where are we going first?"

"Well, we thought we would go to Madam Puddifoot's tea shop first!" Fred said,

"and then afterwards we could go to Zonkos joke shop," George said, "plus we need to stock up on some supplies." Geroge wiggled his eyebrows at Rose and she let out a small squeal.

"You're planning something aren't you?!" She practically shouted which caused the twins to laugh and signal her to quieten down by placing their fingers on their lips.

"Yes, but we need to keep it a secret." Fred said, "but first we are going to woo you like the lady you deserve to be."
