Mr. Crepsley stood in a dark lofty room gazing out the window. A rustle of leaves turned Mr.
Crepsley's attention back to the situation at that moment. "Murlough, where did you get this blood I smell?
It is certainly not a human's blood. The stench is far from it." Murlough looked at Mr. Crepsley hate in his
eyes. "I am not telling you anything, Larten." Mr. Crepsley glared at the foul creature for using his first
name. "You will not adress me so! Now." He took out a knife and slid it across Murlough's throat. "You will
tell me where you got this blood, or you and your people will pay dearly for it." Mr. Cepsleys face turned
red. "Tell me."
The vampaneze named Murlough opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out. He tryed once again
and finally managed the words out. " The girl named Kimberly Willows."
Mr. Crepsley smiled. "Thank you. " and he bowed and flitted to the girl named Kinberly's house.
Kimberly sat at the kitchen table with her parents and little brother. "Kimberly, I told you to watch
yourself!" her father yelled. Kimberly put her head down on the table. "Is that how you treat us? We are
trying to help you! And you nod off to sleep.. Just great." He stood up and went over to Kimberly. He
picked her light head up and slapped her. "This is for disrespecting your father!" he slapped her again. She
felt none of the pain. This was just her father having one of his episodes. ""This is for not being careful!"
He hit her head on the table. Finally her mother stood up straight but firm. "Paul, please stop! Your hurting
her!" she attempted to grab at his fist, but he flung her to the other side of the room hitting the window.
"Kimberly! Are you there?" he yelled in her ear. Kimberly shoved him off of her. "Leave me alone." And she
flung him into the counter. Her little brother sat there dazed. "Kim, I 'm scared! " and he went over to her and
hugged her legs. Kimberly smiled and picked him up. "It's ok Sam, I'm ok."
Mr. Crepsley knocked on the door. A girl with long black hair and blue eyes answered. "Hello? " She asked questioningly.
"My name is Larten, may I come in."
"No not right now. My family's uhh.. asleep. And they don't like visitors. "
"I know what happened Kimberly." Larten said with a serious voice.
Kimberly let him in. After she closed the door she asked him, "And what are you doing prying into my
life?"
"I am simply wanting to see if you are who I think you are."
"And what's that supposed to mean?"
"It means, you may have supernatural powers."
Kimberly gasped. She searched for a lie in his eyes but found none. She sat there silent.
"Kimberly, give me your arm."
She gave him her arm. He stroked his finger over her flesh drawing blood. She bit her lip to keep the pain
down. He drank as if it were water. "You Kimberly. Need to pack your things and come join Cirque Du freak
with me."
She looked at him like he was crazy. "Hold on, hold on. So you want me to believe I have super natural
powers?"
"I didn't say anything about that."
"And you just expect me to pack my things and head out from my life? Your crazy mister. I don't know what
drug your on. But your crazy!" she said with an intense voice. "And if you want to know, my dad is always
like that, nothing new. I am used to the pain he gives me. Lastly, I cannot leave my little brother alone."
Kimberly was in tears as she said the last sentence.
"I understand. But you must do what must be done."
"Do what? What is there to be done? In your little world do the lepracauns dance around a fucking
rainbow? Looking for a pot of gold at the end?"
Mr. Crepsley grabbed her neck and he let a putrid gas out of his mouth which made Kimberly fall to the
ground helpless. He picked her up and headed out for Cirque du freak.
