Here is chapter 6 everybody.

Chapter 6: Deployment/ DefCon 3.

Back in space, miles above the Earth, A group of smaller, but massive spaceships are disengaging from the larger mothership. It seems now they are being deployed. All these spaceships are now heading towards the Earth.

Meanwhile, back at Redmill, all the pilots that gathered at the briefing room were informed that the exercises had been unexpectedly canceled, much to the surprise from Trigger, Talisman and Mobius 1. The three Aces were gathering and talking to their respective pilots and wingmen.

"Why would they cancel the exercises? Seems out of the blue." Talisman asked.

"Maybe it involves the problem with our satellites." Trigger said.

"What do you mean, Trigger?" Count asked.

"No one told you? There's been problems with the broadcasts today. Everything is haywire. They say the satellites are having some unknown problems. Even the TV in the mess hall wasn't working right." Mobius 1 said.

"I wonder what's causing it." Húxiān said.

"I don't know. Hopefully, they'll get it fixed soon." Avalanche said.

"Definitely. After the disaster due to that war last year, we want to get our satellite network back running." Windhover said.

"Well, at least it'll keep Mobius 1 here from influencing Talisman and Trigger to become old timer pilots." Viper 2 said, getting chuckles from everyone.

Suddenly, three pilots approached the group. All were Erusean pilots but were Voslagian who desired to have the Erusean states of Voslage and Shilage to be independent from Erusea. They are the ace pilots Seymour, Hermann and Roald of the Voslagian Air Force's Sol Squadron, the former experimental squadron of the Erusean Air and Space Administration. After the Lighthouse War ended, Seymour took over as squadron leader following the death of his fellow wingman Wit and the retirement of the legendary ace Mihaly A. Shilage. The squadron is also allies with the LRSSG ever since the operations to shoot down the Arsenal Bird and the drones Hugin and Munin in the closing battles of the war. They are also in Redmill since the Sol Squadron Su-30s were displayed on the elephant walk, with Seymour's being original while the others were replica replacements. The three pilots were also baffled by the sudden cancellation of the exercises.

"Hey, Three Strikes, any reason for the sudden cancellation of the exercises?" Seymour asked.

"Could be because of the satellites." Trigger replied.

"Yeah, the TV's been fuzzy." Hermann said.

"So, what do we do?" Roald asked.

"Might as well take advantage of this to get more relaxation." Count said.

"No, we should check our aircraft, just in case." Mobius 1 said.

"Alright, let's do it then." Trigger said.

"OBC is running a story that we're covering up some type of nuclear testing experiment." one official said.

"Tell them to run with it if they want to embarrass themselves." Jennifer said.

"OASA's been on my butt all morning. They want to know our position." another official said.

"Our official position is we have no official position." Jennifer said.

"Jennifer, what is going on here?" the first official said.

"Come on guys, would I keep you out of the loop?" Jennifer asked as she enters a elevator.

"Yes, absolutely." the first official said.

"In a second." the second official said.

"What? I can't hear you." Jennifer said as the elevator doors closes.

Meanwhile, in the Oval Office, President Wilford was talking to Secretary of Defense Michael Hurley, Vice Chairman Edwards, Lt. General Shepherd and other top Osean generals and officials about the alien mothership.

"At the moment, our satellites are somewhat unreliable. Isn't possible that this thing may just pass us by?" a top Osean official asked.

"What if it doesn't 'pass us by'? Let's retarget some ICBMs to blow it outta the sky." Hurley said.

"And risk turning one dangerous falling object into many?" Shepherd said.

"We don't yet know enough about what we're dealing with to make any kind of intelligent judgments." Wilford said as Jennifer walked in.

"Luckily, the press is making up their own story at this point. But that's not gonna keep." Jennifer said.

"We may need to upgrade to Defcon Three." Wilford said.

"Absolutely. General, contact Capital Air Defense Command. You tell them we've upgraded to Defcon Three." Hurley said while Wilford had a confused face.

"That's not what the president said." Shepherd said.

"That's alittle premature." Jennifer said.

"I don't think so." Hurley said.

"We have more than 50% of the armed forces out on weekend leave, not to mention the commander and troops that are in town for the Fourth of July parade." the Osean official said.

As everyone was discussing about the alien spacecraft, two Osean army commanders entered the room.

"Go ahead, Commander." Wilford said.

"Our intelligence tells us the object has settled into a stationary orbit." the army commander said.

"Well, that's good news." Wilford said.

"Uh, not really, sir." the commander said as the other Osean army commander opened up a briefcase. "Part of it has broken off into nearly three dozen other pieces… smaller than the whole, sir, yet over 15 miles in width themselves."

Everyone looks at another infrared photo of the same alien craft. It appears to show a bunch of smaller alien craft moving away from the larger ship.

"Where are they heading?" Hurley asked.

"They should be entering our atmosphere within the next 25 minutes." the commander replied.

Everyone was in silence. The aliens are going to head for Earth, although they don't know what will happen once they enter the atmosphere. After a few seconds of silence, Wilford says...

"Take us to Defcon Three."

And that's the end of the chapter. Things are getting serious, not just for Osea, but for the entire world. Wait till our Ace pilots finds out what's really causing the broadcasts disruptions. What will happen when the first sightings of alien reentry occurs? Find out next time in the next chapter. Please review. :)
