He has no idea how such a beautiful moment turned bad fast but it's not in his nature to push so he kept quiet when Regina suddenly gave him the cold shoulder.

The idea of him screwing things up running on a loop in his mind. Did he read things wrong? Did she at some point tell him to stop? He's pretty sure she didn't say anything of that nature so he didn't know why she was suddenly arctic with him.

Until he got home, he couldn't erase it from his mind because they were having a moment. They were having fun and he is sure that she was happy but then…she's not.

He wanted to go talk to her but that would be pushing and he knows it better than to push Regina Mills. He didn't want to upset her any further so he just bid his time and let things cool for a moment. He will talk to her but not that day.

So, he went to work the next day, willing himself to focus on the job and not think about Regina Mills but that's difficult to do when all he can think about is her. He misses her. He misses her smile, her witty remarks, her intelligence, her laugh. He misses all of her. Yes, he misses the way her body feels so close to his too but he sees her more than just someone that warms him. She's more than that.

He thought about calling her but she's probably in her office and he didn't want to disturb her so he diverted all his attention to his work.

Later that day, David and Killian surprised him in his office telling him that they want to go out. He was tired and he didn't want to but how can he refuse when the two made the effort to come to him so he decided that a few hours wouldn't hurt.

They went out to the bar and have a nice drink. He can use the time to think about how he would talk to Regina anyway.

"So…how are things going between you and Regina?" David asked.

"What?"

Killian laughed as he downed his drink.

"We're not blind, mate. We know when you're head over heels someone and that woman is the one for you",

Is he? He never thought about it but he wouldn't be surprised if he is. It's not difficult to fall for Regina Mills, but he never entertained it because he knows it can never go anywhere with her. She does not want it and he respects it.

"There's nothing going on between me and Regina",

"Sure, that's why you're already on your third glass. You're clearly not crazy about her", Killian snorted.

Yes, he is drinking faster than he should and that's because he is wallowing over the fact that he might have screwed up whatever his relationship with Regina.

"Well, then…if there's nothing going on, this wouldn't be a problem", David said and before Robin could ask what he meant, he felt someone sat next to him.

When he turned, he saw Marian there smiling at him. "Marian?" it's been a long time since he saw her last. His college sweetheart in the flesh.

"Hello, Robin",

Last time he heard from her, she's yelling at how she wants a good life for herself and that he can never give her that so, she left him to be with Jefferson because he's not as wealthy as the man.

"What are you doing here?" he asked.

"Oh…the boys told me about this little reunion and I couldn't let it pass. Aren't you happy to see me?"

Happy? That's not the word he would use. Surprised, yes. Annoyed, a little.

"Don't mind him. He's nursing a broken heart over Regina Mills", Killian then blurted out.

He sent a glare towards his friend because his heart is not broken. Things are not over yet because he is going to talk to Regina.

"Who's Regina Mills?" Marian asked.

"His neighbor. I would say the Evil Queen of Storybrooke but we turned over a new leaf and we're now civil with her", David answered.

"Really, David?"

"Hey, I said we turned over a new leaf. Regina and I are good now", the man said in his defense.

They kept on talking about him and Regina as if he's not there and he's really over it.

"You know what, I'm heading out. I don't need to be here for this",

"Whoa! Wait, mate. It's still early. How about we continue this at home, yeah? Emma and Mary Margaret are hanging out. Perhaps, we can join them. I would love for Marian to meet my Emma",

Robin rubbed his chin angrily. He wanted to go home and talk to Regina to put his mind at ease.

"How about we do that at Robin's instead?" Marian then turned to him. "I would love to see your new house",

That's how he found himself in his house invaded by his friends. Emma and Mary Margaret are busy cooking in the kitchen while David and Killian are talking with Marian over his liquor supply. This is not how he wants to spend his night. He wants to spend it with Regina but he can't just leave. That would have been rude.

When his doorbell rang, he sighed because really? How many people did they invite into his house?

He didn't expect to see Regina standing there holding a bottle of wine though.

"Did I catch you at a bad time?" she asked.

Words got caught up in his throat. This is what he wanted to do since yesterday, to see her, to talk to her and yet, he couldn't even say a goddamn word.

"Anyway, I…I felt bad at how things ended yesterday so I figured you would like to have a drink but—"

She suddenly stopped talking and looked behind him. It all happened fast and the next thing he knew, Marian is there wearing his shirt. When did that happen? Her clothes are fine just a few minutes ago.

"Oh…I thought it was the pizza guy. Sorry…excuse my appearance. I'm Marian",

He saw the way Regina plastered a smile on her face, her whole body tensing.

"Regina Mills", her tone is friendly but he spent enough time with her to know she's just holding herself together.

"Oh…Robin's neighbor. We're having some sort of gathering. Maybe you could join us?"

His brain couldn't keep up fast. He felt stuck and unable to move let alone say one word.

"Well, that would have been nice but I just came by to drop this. I still got work to do so…"

It was only when Killian took the bottle from Regina that he managed to get ahold of himself and realized that Regina made the effort to talk to him about yesterday, something he's been meaning to do all day. She's there and things got out of hand and he only stood there like a statue.

"Why don't you come in? Emma made some…I don't know what the hell it's called. There's plenty to share", Killian said probably doing some damage control but Robin can see that the damage has already been done.

"No, thank you. I'm sure that's lovely but I still got things to do so, I'll leave you to it. Enjoy the wine", with that he watched as Regina went back to her house.

He stood there by the door hoping that she would come out again but she didn't. He should follow her and explain…but explain what?

"Now, that is awkward", David muttered behind him.

Suddenly, Robin saw red. He turned around and faced Marian who seems clueless but he knows better. He had known how conniving that woman can be and this is not some coincidence happening.

"What is this game you're playing at, Marian?" he growled.

"What game?"

"You wearing my shirt. What was that?"

This is all a ploy. He shouldn't have agreed to let them be in his house.

"I spilled a drink on my dress and your shirt is comfy. It's not like I haven't worn your clothes before", he just glared at her because she is feeding him bullshit. "Fine. I am doing you a favor. Since we saw each other again, you've been wallowing over that Regina Mills like some pathetic little boy. Now, you don't have to worry about that woman again",

There it is. He knows there is always some underlying motive when it comes to Marian. For years, he thought she outgrown it but apparently, he was wrong.

"Get out",

"Robin…easy there. Let's just cool our heads down first—"

"I want all of you out of my house. Emma may have been the Sheriff but I could still call the police if none of you leave my house in the next ten minutes",

They all stared at him like they've seen a ghost but he had enough of this shit. He's not the same old guy who just bends over to his friends' will. It's his house. It's his life. No one has the right to play him over just because they like it.

His friends left the house shortly but not before Emma and Mary Margaret profusely apologized to him claiming they have no idea what was happening. He does not blame the women because he knows they've been dragged into the mess too but he is in no condition to be the nice guy, not when his temper is shooting up to the roof.

Once they're all gone, he contemplated about going to Regina to explain but the lights in her house are out. She could be sleeping so disturbing her will only add fuel to the fire. He cleaned up instead. He scrubbed and scrubbed until he is exhausted enough that he just went to his bed and crashed

The next day, he thought he can offer Regina some breakfast but her car was already gone from the driveway. She left early. He thought about coming to her office but he didn't know how she would take it so he waited all day to have a talk with her.

When he saw a cab pulling over in front of her house, it made him frown because she had her car earlier and now, she's on a cab. He watched as she swayed towards her front door, struggling to get the keys out of her bag until she dropped in on the ground.

That's when his feet took him to her. He picked up the keys and opened the door for her without any protest coming from Regina. He helped her get inside before closing the door. She is still not saying anything.

"I'll get you some water", he said and proceeded to her kitchen to get a glass of water.

When he turned around, she's already there staring at him. Yes, he can smell the alcohol coming from her breath and she's not as put together as she always is when she comes home from work.

"Why are you here?" she asked.

"I wanted to talk to you but we can do that tomorrow. You look tired and drunk. Drink this and then you can go get some rest, yeah?"

He can wait. For her, he can always wait.

"This is all so messed up", he heard her grumble under her breath as she walks away from him.

He followed her until they reached the living room where she tossed her purse. "What are you talking about?"

She is running her hands through her hair and he can see that she's frustrated.

"This! You being here. Shouldn't you be somewhere with whoever that woman is?! You finally got what you wanted from me. There's nothing more I can give so just go to that woman and leave me the hell alone!"

He's not used to her raising her voice but that's not what struck him. She thought sex is all his after. How can he let her think that for two days? He crossed the distance between them and pulled her into his arms.

"You're wrong and I'm sorry for letting you think that way but I will never ever use you like that. I am so sorry", he held her close because it's the only thing he can do.
