The feeling can only be described as something akin to being in the clouds. That's how it feels in the last two months for Robin. Being with Regina, being a part of her life, her world, has been amazing.

Her house has became his home. He only goes back to his own just to check the place and to get some of his things every now and then. He does not mind and he thinks Regina does not either. She even made a space for him in her closet which warmed his heart.

She is not the most open person and getting to peel her layers is sometimes a struggle but once she feels comfortable enough, she willingly shares the details about her life.

For example, he learned that she didn't have the easiest time growing up. True, she's rich. She's loaded enough that she can just stop working and she'll be fine but the price of that comfortable life is deprivation of love.

He learned that she's not in good terms with her mother as she had always set out to control her life from the beginning. Apparently, her mother wanted her to marry someone rich, someone from their world. She even arranged one for her but Regina was strong-headed. She broke off that engagement much to her mother's horror and disappointment.

Once she finished her degree and passed the bar, she left home and never looked back.

She also told him some joyful tidbits about her childhood. He learned that she likes to ride horses and rather good at it. She knows how to pole dance in which she promised she will show it to him one day. He also learned that she has the stomach to watch gruesome movies while eating dinner at such a young age.

All of those things only made him love her even more and once he's certain that yes, he is deeply and madly in love with her, he vows to let her know.

He knows she is not going to be comfortable with it and she might run away but he is serious in letting her know that he is in it for the long haul. He's there to stay.

"Oh wow…" Killian said as he stared at his phone.

"What is it?" David asked.

They were sent to get some supplies for the festival which they are all glad to do. Planning a party is not their thing so it is best to leave that to the ladies.

"Your girl is planning the festival", Killian said while looking at him.

"Regina?" He nodded.

That does not come as a surprise since he knows how good she is when it comes to organizing but he thought she's not one to partake with the town's activities.

Yes, she has been active the last two months but she's more into things that made huge impacts like her charity for children, the playground and the town's charter. He did not foresee that she will be interested in planning the Winter's Festival.

"She's going to do great, pal. We know this is her forte", David said.

When he found her at the town hall taking charge of everything, he just could not help himself and go to her. He kissed her despite being out in the open and he finally told her that he loves her.

Of course, she tensed and she tried to break free but he did not let her. He reassured her that she did not need to says it back. He does not need words to know that she loves him too. Her actions speak louder than her words and he learned that a long time ago.

The way she would do things for him like check if he has eaten already after he got back from work or when he's so exhausted from reviewing the numbers she would bring him a cup of tea before kissing his cheek wishing him good luck. She shows him that she loves him in every single way she could without saying it out loud so no, she does not need to say it.

So when the night of the festival came, he walked into the town hall with a big grin on his face.

He is walking with the most amazing woman in the planet in his arms and he could not even be prouder. How could he not? Out of all the men pining for her, she has chosen him! Yes, he is proud.

"Let me be the first to say that you did an amazing job to this place. I almost did not recognize it", he whispered to her.

She really did a great work. The entire hall felt like a palace. It looked so expensive and he knows that the town's budget did not cover everything for the occasion which means Regina spent a few of her own just to make this happen.

"Thank you. I was scared it's going to be a disaster",

"Now, you're joking. Since when did you throw a party which ends up in a disaster?" She made a face at him and he understood what she meant. "You know what I mean",

She groaned and forced herself to relax. "Yes, I do. Sorry…I am not usually like this. I just feel like everything is going so smoothly that the other shoe is going to drop anytime soon",

Yes, he also knows that about her. She's not used to being happy that she is always looking out for something bad to happen.

"Everything is going to be fine",

She gave him a smile before Mary Margaret came their way.

"Oh my god! I have no idea how you did this but you are now hired in planning my birthday party next year. This is beautiful!"

He let the woman took Regina away to introduce her to some of her friends. This is her night and she deserves to enjoy it and realize that good things can happen to her too.

Granny is standing by the corner watching the whole thing with watery eyes.

"Why are you standing here? Come on, I'll get you a nice table", he said when he reached her.

"Your woman has done a great job. In all my years in this town, I've never seen this festival to be this beautiful", she said.

He wished Regina can hear what she just said because she will be thrilled to know that her work and effort are much appreciated.

"Thank you. She did work hard for this night",

"I am also glad to see things are working out just fine for the both of you. I knew you're going to be different, Robin. Regina can be difficult sometimes and incredibly stubborn but that's not all on her. Life made her that way but she finally found her way back to her old self and that's thanks to you",

That made him frown a little bit.

"You sound like you knew her before she even got here in Storybrooke",

Regina never mentioned knowing anyone in town before she moved there.

"She only found out about this place because of me so yes, we have known each other that long",

He wondered why she did not tell him that. As if the woman can read his mind, she reached for his hand and gave it a squeeze.

"Be patient with her. She does not reveal herself in a flash. It takes time for her to be comfortable enough to talk about her past but I have no doubt that she will with you",

Granny's words stayed in his brain afterwards. Yes, he is aware that there are still a lot of things to know about Regina Mills but the way the woman talked about her, he felt as if he might have known only a fraction of her life.

Be patient…

He is nothing but patient. He understood that Regina went through something bad so he knows that it is only fair to be patient with her. He only wished that he can do more to show her that she can trust him with everything.

As the hours passed, the festival is in full swing. He had not seen Regina because David and Killian kept dragging her from one person to the next. They told him that Regina is suffering the same fate at the hands of Mary Margaret and Emma so he occupied himself with getting to know the rest of the community.

He is having a great time to say the least up until Marian showed up and his mood turned sour.

"Wow, you look handsome, Robin",

"Marian…what are you doing here?"

She's not from Storybrooke so he does not understand why she's there in the first place.

"Oh, I was invited by the boys. Despite our history, we're still friends, right?"

"I don't know about that", he quipped.

"Are you still mad? Of course, you are. You hold grudge like a lifeline. Don't worry, I've come bearing gifts",

He shook his head because the last thing he needs is a gift from her.

"I don't want anything from you, Marian",

"Oh, but you shall have it, darling. You see, my gift to you is the truth. I told you once that you don't know anything about that girlfriend of yours and I was right",

"Marian, just stop this—"

"She's married. Do you know about that?" He almost stopped breathing. "Yes, she is. I doubt that's something a married woman would share to her…how should I call you? Male mistress? I am not sure about the right term but you get the idea. I warned you, Robin. She's not who you think she is. Now, you know. Enjoy the night", with that Marian left leaving him standing there dumbfounded.

Regina Mills is married?

How come she did not tell him? He did not see any ring on her finger or any pictures of her husband in the house. Hell, he's been living there for two months and no husband has showed up.

It could be one of Marian's games but it has already gotten into his head because if there's one thing he cannot live without it is his honor…his code.

He does not do married women. He vowed to never be that guy who destroys marriage or family. He's not going to be someone's other guy.

That's why he searched the entire hall for her because he needs answer. It's not that he does not trust her but because he just needs her to confirm that Marian is playing him again.

He found her talking with Emma and Mary Margaret and she's clearly having fun now unlike the moment they arrived at the party. She's more relaxed. She's even smiling.

"Hey…can I borrow Regina for a moment?"

The two women only shook their head and went back to talking to each other but Regina is already frowning at him.

It could be his tone of voice. She can also read him so well and she knows something is bothering him so they went to the quietest part of the hall to talk in private.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"I'm going to ask you something and I need you to be honest with me",

He saw her swallowed and it's not a good sign. "Robin, what's going on?"

"Are you married?" There he dropped the question just like ripping off a band-aid.

The way her face changed, her eyes widened, and the way the words died in her mouth told him the answer she could not say.

It's true. Marian was right. She is married. She has been lying to him ever since. She told him there's no one else. She said she didn't do relationships. It's all a lie.

"Wow…I did not see this one coming", he said as he ran his fingers through his hair.

"Robin…I can explain—"

"You know when Marian told me, I thought she's playing me again. I thought she's lying because I have so much faith in you. I thought no, you're not going to that to me because you're an honest person. I believe everything you said to me because that's how much of a fool I am. Guess what? You really played me well, Regina. Tell me, did you get a kick out of fooling the new kid on the block, huh? Was it thrilling for you to string me along? To make me think that this could be something real? That we can have future together?

He knows he should stop now but he couldn't bring himself to do so. He is overwhelmed and it is making him explode.

"I thought you're different too, you know? I thought I finally found the one person I am going to spend the rest of my life with and it turns out, you're also a liar. I really hope you had fun with this little charade of yours because I am done playing it, Regina. I am done with whatever the hell this is", he ended and then walked away.

In his rage, he completely missed the tears forming in her eyes, the way her skin has paled, and the terrified look on her face. He missed the way her hands are shaking, her body trembling. He completely missed the fear enveloping her because the moment he turned away, he never looked back.
