It was rather nice to just relax and enjoy the day. Rina even suggested they hang out at the park or someplace else instead of immediately returning back to the ship. The weather was nice and being out in the fresh air and sunlight would be better than just sitting on the ship and using the simudeck to try and replicate it.
"You sure?" Cassie asked, kind of surprised. She had figured that her friend would want to rush back to the ship and pick up the search for Zhane.
Rina nodded in confirmation. "Yeah. I'm sure," She answered with a smile. As eager as she was to find the missing ranger, she knew that she needed to take time to relax. That was the whole point of first coming down to Earth, in the first place.
"There's a new store at the mall. Want to check that out?" Ashley suggested, not being in any rush to return to space, herself.
"Oh yeah! I forgot all about that!" Cassie excitedly exclaimed. "We've totally got to check it out!"
"Of course, the resident shop-a-holics both agree." Carlos's teasing comment resulted in a small handful of fries thrown at his face, making the rest of the group laugh when he complained about them wasting good food.
Rina playfully pulled her own basket of fries closer as if to protect them from being used as 'food fight' fodder, making the group laugh once again.
"Okay. So we go to the mall, check out this new store and go from there," T.J. commented, running down the impromptu itinerary.
"What kind of place is this?" Andros inquired, curious as to what would have his girlfriend so excited.
"Well, it's not a place I'd really shop at, but Rina would," Ashley answered. "One of those new age occult shops."
Rina raised an eyebrow. "Who do I look like? Morticia Addams?" She joked.
"I was thinking you looked more like a Sanderson." Ashley teased back, followed by a whole new round of laughter.
"Well, I do have a bewitching voice." Rina laughed, a cheerful smile on her face.
"Is that what you call your karaoke? I thought that was a dying cat." Carlos joked, earning a playful slap on the shoulder from the short haired girl.
"Says the guy who makes the whole room cover their ears when he sings." Cassie poked Carlos's cheek, making the black ranger laugh.
"I take pride in my inability to sing."
"I think all of Angel Grove knows how well you can't sing," Andros commented with a chuckle of his own.
"If they haven't managed to hear that siren call clear out in space," T.J. teased.
"All right. All right. I get it. I suck at singing," Carlos replied, looking defeated.
"Is that what you call it?" Ashley teased, earning a playful glare from the hispanic teenager. She, in turn, responded by sticking her tongue out at him.
