Black and white
Black is the colour of mourning, the colour of the night.
Black is dangerous, it covers things and changes their shapes.
Black is the contrast to white, it is a lack of light. White is light itself.
Permanent staring at the sun causes pain and leads to blindness. Within darkness the invisible monsters and dreadful memories hide, making you cry and loose your mind in the end. They can scare you to death – literally.
Loss and gain, fall and rise, defeat and victory.
But black and white together balance each other perfectly.
Black are the shinigami robes, white is Kuchiki Byakuya's taichou coat.
Black and white together are a mystery and the enlightenment, a disguise and the reveal.
Yin and Yang. Everything you need in the right proportions.
A blissful sleep and the awakening.
Byakuya is black and white combined.
Byakuya has a pale complexion - almost translucent. Byakuya has silky black hair, and everything black and white about him seems to be made of silk like his clothes. At least until one discovers Byakuya's immense strength.
White are the obi and the obiage Byakuya had given me as a sign of our reciprocal belongingness. Made of finest silk, have small sakura trees embroidered on their ends. They are so expensive that I seriously considered keeping them in the drawer and only looking at them from time to time. But Byakuya said that the one whom they were given to is far more precious than everything in the world. Therefore I wear them with pride, and he wears a red silk scarf he got from me. He says it reminds him of my hair.
Byakuya is comfort of the night and daylight necessary for one to grow and bloom. Soil and water, coal to provide warmth and a diamond to make beauty shine in sunrays.
Byakuya is my heart and my reason.
