Well, I bet this must be a surprise for a lot of you. It's been nearly SIX YEARS since the last time I updated this fanfic. There are two major reasons. First of all, I was busy with lots of stuff in my life. And second, the biggest reason was that I was suffering from a major writer's block. I'll be honest, I didn't expect that writer's block to last THAT long.
But unexpectedly, I finally managed to get enough inspiration to write this chapter. Hopefully, it won't take another long time before I write another chapter.
In the years since the previous chapter, lots of people associated with either DC Comics or the Looney Tunes (such as Adam West, Dennis O'Neil, Joe Alaskey, June Foray, etc.) passed away. I won't name them all, but this chapter is dedicated to all of them.
Time to answer some questions that have been long waiting for an answer:
Sailor Dragonball 87: By vibrating his body.
mthornley1102: A combination of both.
Also, I've seen some people asking me if certain characters like Supergirl or Taz will show up. I've decided to not reveal in advance which characters will show up. Otherwise, it would be like spoiling the plot of a movie.
Finally, I did several rewrites to every previous chapter. For the most part, they're pretty minors, except for a few I did in Chapter 8 to properly establish this chapter.
And now, back to our show.
Chapter 9: It Belongs in a Museum!
During the morning on the same day that Superman and Bugs Bunny were having trouble with the Parasite in Metropolis, something else happened in another city. Which city you may ask? Well, it was none other than Washington, D.C. The capital of the United States of America. Home of the White House, the Lincoln Memorial, etc.
On this day, an important event was happening in the District. Lots of people from all over the country gathered to attend the grand opening of a new museum. The new building had a giant statue of Wonder Woman in front of the entrance, while the superheroine's logo was above said entrance. In other words, this was a museum entirely dedicated to the Amazon warrior herself.
The crowd waiting in front of this new museum was quite excited to be among the first to visit it. Between the crowd and the entrance was a man reading a few sheets of paper in front of a lectern, practicing his speech. It was a middle-aged man with black hair, a mustache, a black business suit, and grey shoes. His name is William Rucka and he's also the mayor of Washington.
A few feet away from the mayor were Shayera and John, the two of them resting their back against the wall. They both agreed to attend the opening to support their friend. The winged woman looked at the sky and saw nothing but clouds.
"I don't see her yet." Shayera said.
"I'm sure she's gonna be here just in time. She'll make a grand entrance, the crowd will love it, and everything will be fine." John said.
"That's very likely." She said, pausing for a bit before turning her head towards her ex-boyfriend. "By the way, can you tell Vixen that the restaurant she suggested to me was of great quality? I went there last week and the meals they serve there are delicious."
However, John remained silent for several seconds, which Hawkgirl found to be strange.
"Hum, are you listening to me, or did you suddenly become deaf?"
"…Vixen and I are no longer together." He finally responded, causing the Thanagarian's eyes to widen in shock.
"John, I'm so sorry." She said.
"You don't have to be."
A few more seconds of silence passed as Shayera looked to her left before looking back at Green Lantern.
"You didn't break up with her just because we may have a son together in the future, did you?" she asked, referring to an adventure John had where he ended up in the future and met Warhawk, their future son.
"Honestly, that didn't even come to my mind when our relationship ended, so no." he replied as he looked at her. "Also, it was a mutual decision, so I wasn't the only one ready to do that. We both agreed to remain friends, but it's gonna be odd between us for the time being whenever we'll be in the same room."
At this moment, Shayera did not know what else to say. Ever since the end of her relationship with GL following the Thanagarian invasion where she betrayed the Justice League, her feelings for him became complicated. A part of her wanted to rekindled that relationship, while another part thought it was perhaps for the best that they were no longer together. And while this may increase the likelihood of their future son's existence, she in no way did not want her happiness to be more important than what John and Vixen were going through.
Before either of them could get the opportunity of continuing this conversation, the mayor motioned them to come next to him, indicating that his speech was about to begin. The two superheroes proceeded to do that, with Hawkgirl standing on the mayor's right and Green Lantern standing on the left. The politician then cleared his throat before starting his speech.
"To all of you, welcome to this event." Mayor Rucka said. "We're here to pay homage to one of the greatest heroes that mankind has known. This lady has accomplished incredible feats, served as an inspiration to everyone, saved the lives of countless people, and did it all because it was the right thing to do. She has shown to us how important being kind and compassionate should be to any living being. And alongside other people, whether they are superheroes or just plain heroes, she also showed the importance of teamwork. She has amazed the whole world and you're about to learn more about her fantastic life. But before you get the opportunity of visiting this museum dedicated to her, it is only logical that she would come to say a word." He said, with the crowd getting excited after he said the second-to-last sentence of his speech. "Ladies and gentlemen, the time has come for us to meet Princess Diana Prince of Themyscira, the one and only Wonder Woman!" he exclaimed as he raised both his head and his left hand towards the sky.
Immediately, Wonder Woman appeared from the sky, flying at super-speed towards the lectern, while the crowd cheered as loudly as they could. Diana landed gracefully next to the lectern. She smiled and bowed at the crowd before shaking hands with John, Shayera, and the mayor. The latter stepped aside to let her talk to the microphone, which she did so while resting her hands on the lectern.
"I am pleased to see you all." Wonder Woman said. "When the government of the District of Columbia asked for my approval regarding a museum dedicated to me, they showed several surveys to me indicating that a large amount of people from all around the world would love to visit it. I took it as a compliment." She said, smiling warmly at the crowd. "With that said, I did not want this place to be there just to glorify me. I wanted it to have a purpose that, much like everything I've done in my life, would help make the world a better place to live in. As such, the organization behind this museum and I came to an agreement: a certain percentage of the ticket price will go to various charities. This way, all of you will also contribute to make our world a better place." She said while pointing at the crowd. "If you want to learn more about my life and have a better understanding of why I do all of this, this museum is perhaps the best way to start. But before you visit it, I will end my speech with these words: Do not let anyone keep you down. No matter what hardships you have to deal with in life, you MUST keep fighting. And whenever you are feeling down, never forget that there is at least one person out there who cares for you. I love you all. Thank you."
The crowd cheered for Wonder Woman. The latter then walked towards the entrance of the museum. Said entrance had a large red ribbon in front of it, with the mayor standing next to it while holding a giant pair of scissors.
"Will you do us the honor of cutting the ribbon?" Mayor Rucka asked her.
"With pleasure." The superheroine said, smiling as she took the pair of scissors from the mayor and cut the ribbon in half.
It didn't take long before the museum was filled with visitors everywhere. All of them were admiring the various items that represented various aspects of Diana's life. About half an hour after the museum was officially opened, the Amazon was having a conversation with John and Shayera when they noticed a blond-haired man, a red-haired woman, and a little blond-haired girl wearing a red shirt with Wonder Woman's logo on the front approaching them.
"Hum, excuse us, Mrs. Prince?" the man hesitantly said. "Our daughter is a big fan of yours and she was wondering if we could take a picture of her with you." He said while pointing at the little girl, who looked shy and was holding her mother's hand.
"Of course." Wonder Woman said, beaming a smile.
The little girl had the biggest grin on her face while hearing that. Her mother motioned her to walk towards her idol, which she proceeded to do. Diana then kneeled down to talk to her young fan.
"What's your name?" she asked the child.
"Laurie." The latter replied.
"Would you want me to bring you to the air?"
"Hum… yeah."
"Okay then." The superheroine said before gently grabbing the kid, putting her on her right shoulder, and standing up.
Laurie was amazed at the fact she was sitting on her idol's shoulder. Both of them smiled at the camera while the child's mother took a picture of them.
"It's done." The mother said.
Diana kneeled down again and gently put the girl on the floor, who then immediately hugged the superheroine.
"I love you, Wonder Woman!" Laurie exclaimed.
"I love you too, sister." Diana replied, hugging her back.
Shayera and John couldn't help but smile at that sight. Soon enough, the Amazon and her fan stopped hugging and waved at each other before the girl walked back to her parents.
"Thank you so much, Mrs. Prince." The mother said on behalf of her family.
"It was my pleasure." Wonder Woman said, smiling at them.
Right after the family walked away from her, a security agent appeared next to the Amazon.
"May I bother you for a brief moment, Mrs. Prince?" the security agent asked.
"Is there a problem, sir?" Diana asked.
"Well… Someone wants to talk to you and… Well, it's that rabbit from Space Jam." He said while rubbing the back of his head.
"Hi, Wondie!" a familiar voice said as the arm of a certain female rabbit appeared from behind the security agent, waving at the Amazon.
All three superheroes raised their eyebrows before the security agent stepped aside, revealing Lola. The rabbit, who was now wearing a purple variant of her blue dress, stopped waving while Diana turned her attention towards the agent.
"I'll take care of this. Thank you for bringing her here." She said.
"Just doing my job, your Highness." The agent said, saluting her before walking away.
"Lola, what are you doing here?" the Amazon said, turning her attention back to the cartoon character.
"Well, I came here because you forgot your lipstick at the Watchtower." Lola replied, taking a lipstick from one pocket on her dress and showing it to the black-haired woman.
"It's not mine."
"What? Oh, come on!" the rabbit said in disbelief. "If that's the case, how come your name is labelled on it?"
Upon examination, Wonder Woman noticed something rather obvious about the lipstick.
"It's YOUR name that's written on it."
"Wait, what?" Lola looked at the lipstick and realized that, indeed, it belonged to her and not to the black-haired woman. "Oh, that's right!" she exclaimed, slapping her forehead and putting the lipstick back into her pocket. "Sorry for that. I sometimes mistake stuff that I own for stuff that is instead owned by others. There was one time where I brought a coffee mug to Speedy's home, thinking he forgot it at my apartment, only for him to point out it was bigger than him and thus could not belong to him. Silly me!"
John and Shayera exchanged a look indicating they weren't certain whether they should be amused or exasperated by what Lola said, while Diana simply sighed.
"You were supposed to remain at the Watchtower." The Amazon said.
"Why? So that people wouldn't know about me and my buddies' existence? I think it's a little too late for that ever since people saw Bun-Bun talking with Big Blue." The rabbit said while pointing at all the civilians in the museum staring at her.
Before Diana could make a counterargument, she heard someone shouting her name. She turned around and noticed two persons coming towards her. One of them was a middle-aged woman with grey hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a pink shirt, blue jeans with a brown belt, and grey shoes. The other was a young woman with brown curly hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a yellow shirt, white shorts, and blue shoes.
"Julia! Vanessa!" Wonder Woman excitedly exclaimed upon seeing them.
The two women arrived next to the superheroine, who proceeded to give them a big hug.
"I'm so glad you two could be here." Diana said after the hug was over.
"We wouldn't have missed it for anything else in the world, my dear." The middle-aged woman said, smiling.
"Hum… Mom? Am I the only one hallucinating here?" the curly-haired young woman asked the middle-aged woman while pointing at Lola.
Her mother was taken by surprise by the sight of the cartoon character.
"Well, I certainly didn't expect THAT." The mother said.
"Hi. My name is Lola Bunny, basketball expert." The rabbit said while shaking the newcomers' hands, who found it rather surreal that this is happening. "What are your names?" she asked after being done with shaking their hands.
"Hum…" the curly-haired woman said before coming back to her senses. "Well, I'm Vanessa Kapatelis, and this is my mother, Julia."
"When I left Themyscira for the first time, Julia was among the first friends I made in this world. She became a second mother to me." Wonder Woman explained to Lola, causing Julia to smile. "Back then, Vanessa was a young teenager. And now, look at her. She's old enough to go to college."
"And back then, I would have lost my mind upon seeing you." Vanessa said to the rabbit, smirking. "Believe or not, Space Jam was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I can quote almost every line from that movie!"
"Oh, God… She watched that movie so many times." Julia said while rubbing her forehead, slightly annoyed.
"Oh, so you're a fan then!" Lola exclaimed in excitement. "If you want an autograph, it'll be my pleasure."
"Nah, a selfie will do just fine." The curly-haired woman said while pulling her cellphone from her pocket, kneeling next to Lola, and putting her arm around the latter's shoulders. "Just make some silly face with me."
"Alright then."
Both Lola and Vanessa stuck out their tongue while the latter took the selfie.
"I can see that some of your colleagues came today." Julia said, referring to Green Lantern and Hawkgirl. "Although I'm surprised there aren't more of them. I mean, where are Donna and Cassie?"
"They're both on missions with the Titans and Young Justice respectively. They were both disappointed they couldn't be here, but I told them it was more important to help people than attend this event." Diana replied.
"I see." The middle-aged woman said. "What about Colonel Trevor?"
"He's currently doing something important for the army today, but he promised he would come to visit the museum tonight."
"Wait, who's Colonel Trevor?" Lola asked.
"Steve Trevor." Vanessa replied. "He's Diana's boyfriend." She added, smirking.
Wonder Woman started to blush at the young woman's comment.
"He's not my boyfriend. He's certainly a close friend, but that's it." Diana said, a bit nervous.
"Sure, if you say so." The curly-haired woman said, rolling her eyes.
"So, are you ready to visit the museum?" The Amazon asked her friends, trying to change the subject. "I'm willing to give you a tour of it."
"I'm ready, Diana." Julia said.
"Only if Lola comes with us." Vanessa said. "I mean, when else am I gonna get the opportunity of visiting a superhero museum alongside a cartoon character?"
"Well… I guess she can come too, as long as she doesn't cause any trouble here." The superheroine said, slightly hesitant in her tone.
"Oh, don't worry about it, Wondie." The rabbit assured her. "Frankly, things would be worse if Daffy was here instead."
"Sweet!" Vanessa exclaimed.
"Will you two come with us?" Wonder Woman asked John and Shayera.
"I think it would be best if Shayera and I make sure there isn't any villain coming here to ruin this day. When Flash got his own museum, some of his villains decided to cause some trouble." Green Lantern replied.
"Very well, then." Diana said before motioning Lola, Julia, and Vanessa to follow her around the museum.
Several minutes later, Wonder Woman and her friends were in a room filled with all sorts of artefacts from the Amazon's various adventures. At this moment, she pointed at a batarang on display.
"And this is a batarang with sonic waves that Batman used during our fight against Dr. Psycho." Diana explained to her friends.
"Doctor Psycho?" Lola asked, confused. "I've never heard of him."
"You're better off not knowing. That guy gives me the creeps." Vanessa told her, shuddering in disgust.
"And this…" The Amazon pointed to a colorless rock also on display. "…is a piece of Kryptonite that Toyman used against Superman during a fight I was involved in. Unfortunately for Toyman, the machine he put the Kryptonite in ended up draining it entirely of its energy after I caused the machine to malfunction, making it completely harmless against Superman."
"Speaking of which, similar to Mom's earlier question, how come these two aren't here today?" The curly-haired woman asked.
"Well, heroes like us are often busy stopping crimes, so they couldn't attend. With that said, they both insisted that they would contribute in some way to this event, hence why they donated the batarang and the piece of Kryptonite." Wonder Woman replied.
"Wait… Superman gave you a rock?" Lola asked, indignant. "Who does he think you are? Charlie Brown?"
Vanessa giggled at the comment, while her mother was tempted to slap her forehead. Under different circumstances, Diana's reaction would be similar to Julia's. However, she was used to hearing Flash making comments that would lighten up the mood, so she simply smirked.
Suddenly, they heard a fight happening in the next room. All four of them rushed towards the other room, which also happened to be both the largest and the tallest room in the museum, and noticed several visitors running away in fear while one individual was lifting two security guards in the air. It was a tall, musclebound woman with long red hair and green eyes. The only clothes she was wearing were a sleeveless top and a skirt, both of which were yellow and with brown spots. Wonder Woman recognized her immediately.
"Giganta!" she shouted, glaring at the newcomer.
The musclebound woman turned around and noticed the Amazon.
"You!" Giganta shouted at the Amazon, glaring back at her and immediately throwing the guards away before running towards her.
"Go to some safe place while I'll handle her!" Diana shouted at her friends before running towards the red-haired woman.
Julia and Vanessa ran away while Lola remained there, simply hiding behind a nearby pillar.
"Yeah, right. As if like I'm gonna miss this spectacle." the rabbit said to herself while rolling her eyes.
Wonder Woman and Giganta began their fight with the latter blocking the former's right fist, only for the former to quickly punch the latter with her left fist, causing the latter to let go of the other fist. The heroine and the villainess started blocking each other's punches repeatedly before the red-haired woman rapidly kicked her opponent in the leg, causing the latter to fall on her back. Giganta then pinned the Amazon on the floor by grabbing her arms and putting pressure on them.
"Did you miss me, Princess?" the red-haired woman asked, smirking evilly.
"I'm pretty certain you already know the answer." Wonder Woman replied, glaring at the villainess before kneeling her in the stomach.
This act caused Giganta to let go of her enemy, who proceeded to punch her in the face and sending her a few feet away. Landing on her back, the villainess rubbed her face before standing back and noticing that Diana was flying towards her at full speed, her fists ready to hurt her again. Before the red-haired woman could do anything to avoid this attack, the black-haired woman sent her falling on her back again. Wonder Woman then sat on Giganta's stomach, pinning her to the floor, and started to repeatedly punch her in the face. Having enough of that, the villainess grabbed both of Diana's hands and used her strength to force the latter to stand up and stop pinning her to the floor. The two of them standing up, Giganta put the Amazon into a chokehold, with the heroine struggling to get herself free.
"I hope you appreciate this hug." The villainess said.
"And…I…" The superheroine said, struggling to talk. "…hope you… appreciate… THIS!"
Wonder Woman elbowed the red-haired woman in the stomach, causing the latter to wince in pain. This allowed the Amazon to free herself and grab Giganta by the shoulders before doing a judo-flip with her. Landing on her back again, the villainess winced from the pain before grabbing the superheroine by the wrists and throwing her at a life-size replica of Diana's invisible plane, destroying half of it. Right after Giganta stood up, Wonder Woman quickly came back by flying and landed on the ground, ready to end the fight.
"If you're hoping this fight will go on forever, you're wrong, Giganta." Diana said.
"Well, while I do love me some good fight, it will obviously end, but only with your defeat!" the villainess exclaimed.
"Don't be so sure." Hawkgirl said while she and Green Lantern arrived, ready to join the fight.
The villainess noticed the two additional heroes and glared at them.
"Oh, you're just asking for it!" Giganta exclaimed before concentrating.
Within the next 10 seconds, she grew in size and became a giant, becoming large enough to almost hit her head against the ceiling of the room they were in.
"Where's Atom Smasher when you need him?" John quipped, referring to a fellow superhero also known for growing in size and becoming a giant.
Giganta tried to stomp the Thanagarian and the green-wearing space cop with her left foot, but they flew away quickly enough to avoid getting the same fate that bugs crawling on the floor would get. Green Lantern started shooting several projectiles from his ring at the giantess. The latter was irritated by the projectiles and tried to swat the African-American away like a fly. This was followed by Shayera hitting Giganta's right knee with her mace. The giantess winced in pain before glaring at the winged heroine. She started inhaling before blowing at the Thanagarian. The latter, who felt like she was caught in a tornado, planted her mace into the floor and held firmly onto it, waiting for this extremely strong wind to be over. Suddenly, Wonder Woman threw her lasso at Giganta's left fist, taking the latter by surprise. The Amazon pulled on her lasso with all her strength. However, her opponent grabbed the lasso and pulled it with her incredible strength, causing Diana to be sent flying away and landing into a nearby pillar before landing on the floor. The giantess then removed the lasso from her hand and threw it away.
Meanwhile, Lola noticed the skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus rex on display and decided to take a look at it. The rabbit then read the description for it, which said "This skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus rex is one that Dr. Sivana tried to use to create an army of dinosaurs to rule the world. Fortunately, Wonder Woman got some help from Captain Marvel and prevented Sivana from turning his plan into a reality."
"Wow… If that never happened in a comic book, it totally should have." Lola commented.
She was interrupted in her train of thoughts by Giganta grabbing the skeleton and using it as a weapon against the Justice League. The giantess swung it at them. However, not only were all three of them fast enough to avoid getting it by it, but Hawkgirl even managed to make it lose most of its bones thanks to her mace. Frustrated by that, Giganta grabbed the dinosaur's skull and threw it at the Thanagarian. The latter wasn't fast enough to avoid getting hit by the skull and ended up getting crushed by it, losing consciousness.
"SHAYERA!" John yelled at this sight.
The giantess took this opportunity to use her giant elbow against Green Lantern, sending him crashing into a nearby wall and landing on the floor, also losing consciousness.
"Two down. One left to go." Giganta said, smirking.
She turned around and noticed Wonder Woman retrieving her lasso, which had landed next to a vending machine. Right after she grabbed her lasso, Diana realized too late that Giganta spotted her, with the giantess trying to stomp her with her right foot. The Amazon used all of her strength to push onto the foot and avoid getting crushed. Doing so caused Wonder Woman's own feet to leave some marks on the floor because of the pressure caused by the giant foot.
"Can't… keep it… much… longer…" Diana thought, struggling to keep the foot from crushing her.
Suddenly, Wonder Woman noticed Lola standing right in front of her, much to her surprise.
"What are you doing here!? Get out of the way!" the superheroine exclaimed.
The rabbit looked up and realized that Giganta was completely barefoot, giving her an idea.
"Okay, she clearly has one major weakness." Lola said before putting her hand inside her pocket and summoning a giant feather.
Grinning, the rabbit started tickling the giantess' sole. Feeling the sensation of tickling, Giganta tried her hardest to shut her mouth as much as possible in order to avoid laughing. However, it was incredibly hard for her to keep a straight face. Eventually, she gave out and was laughing hysterically from the tickle.
"HAHAHAHAHA! STOP IT! HAHAHAHA!" the giantess yelled.
This was enough to distract her from what she was doing and Wonder Woman used her strength to make the villainess lose her balance and land on her back, making the ground shake. Diana sighed in relief from what just happened.
"You know they say that laughter is the best medicine. It might also be the best weapon." Lola commented, smirking.
However, this was far from a victory as Giganta recovered from her tickling problem and used her right foot to kick both the rabbit and the Amazon against her sole, sending them flying towards a nearby wall. When they reached the wall, Lola ended up being flattened like a pancake against it, while Wonder Woman made a hole and ended up in the room behind it.
"Has anyone noted the license plate of the truck that hit me?" the rabbit asked in a dazed tone before unsticking herself from the wall and walking like the entire room was spinning.
Regarding Diana, she was laying on her stomach, surrounded by the rubbles caused by her crashing into the wall. Eventually, she sat up and groaned in pain before realizing that she was right next to a life-size statue of herself striking a heroic pose. More interestingly, said statue was holding a sword and a shield, both of which Wonder Woman used during many of her adventures before she decided to donate them to the museum. She smirked at the sight of that and grabbed both of them.
"I don't think the manager is gonna mind if I borrow something that technically belongs to me." She thought before going back to the other room. "Hey! Giganta!" she shouted, getting the giantess' attention. "Ready for Round 2?"
"You bet!" the villainess said, cracking her knuckles.
Giganta grabbed a piece of broken pillar and threw it at the Amazon, who used her sword to destroy it. Wonder Woman then flew in the air and tried to hit the villainess with her sword multiple times. Sometimes, she succeeded. Other times, the giantess managed to avoid getting hit. Eventually, Diana stopped using her sword, flew up until she was at the same level as Giganta's eyes, and threw her shield at her opponent's left eye, resulting in the latter wincing in pain before glaring at her enemy.
Meanwhile, Lola was still walking in a dazed way before sitting on one end of a broken pillar that was lying on top of another broken pillar. She then shook her head, coming back to her senses.
"If this is what the Powerpuff Girls go through every day, then I hope they have a really good insurance deal." The rabbit said to the readers.
At the same moment, Wonder Woman leapt in the air, ready to attack Giganta again with her sword. However, the giantess managed to punch the superheroine hard enough, sending the latter falling towards the opposite end of the broken pillar Lola was sitting on. This resulted in the pillar instantly being turned into a catapult, launching the rabbit into the air. A few seconds later, she landed on Giganta's right shoulder, with the giantess glaring at her.
"Lola!" Wonder Woman yelled in panic at this sight.
"Hum…" Lola began to say, smiling nervously. "Hi. Don't mind me. I'm just passing through."
However, the rabbit's eyes widened in fear when the villainess tried to grab her with her giant hand. Lola quickly ran towards the ear and dove into it, entering the giantess' head. The rabbit landed on her stomach before standing up. Her eyes widened again, this time out of surprise as she noticed a giant brain as well as two holes that gave her a view of the museum, which were seemingly Giganta's eyes.
"Wait… THIS is what the inside of a human's head looks like?" she said, confused before looking disappointed. "Well, that's a letdown. I was expecting it to look like that one movie about living colored emotions that came out the same year as the previous chapter! I mean, I would have loved to gain access to her memories and control her emotions. By the way, is there some forgotten imaginary friend that's somewhere around here? I had an imaginary friend named Piper when I was a kid. She's not here because she didn't travel with me to this world, but I'm sure she would get along fine with any imaginary friend this big lady may have. Unless some of them were sharks. Piper doesn't get along with sharks. Then again, who does? That Spielberg movie still gives me nightmares. Every time I go to a beach, I always make sure there are no sharks around. I don't want to lose my little fluffy tail because some big fish with sharp teeth wanted to have a snack! No, madam! If he wants to have a snack, he should go a restaurant. Oh! That reminds me I REALLY should go to that new restaurant that just opened last month. They serve this Canadian meal known as 'poutine'. I don't know what that is, but it sounds exquisite…"
At that same moment, Giganta was unable to keep a straight face as she felt a massively painful headache caused by Lola constantly talking, forcing the giantess to grab her head in order to control her headache to no avail.
"GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" the villainess yelled in anger.
Lola felt like she was right in the middle of an earthquake because of the giantess shaking her head.
"C-C-C-C-Calm d-d-d-d-d-down, b-b-b-b-big g-g-g-g-girl!" Lola exclaimed. "G-G-G-G-Great. I'm s-s-s-s-sounding l-l-l-l-like P-P-P-P-P-P-Porky!"
Taking advantage of Giganta being distracted by this headache, Wonder Woman threw her lasso at the giantess' right foot and used all her strength to pull it and make her opponent lose her balance. The red-haired woman then lost her balance and hit her head against the wall behind her, knocking her out before she landed on her back. The ground shook again as Diana then realized something. She quickly flew towards Giganta's head, landed on the floor next to it and came next to the giantess' right ear.
"LOLA! Get out of here now!" the Amazon shouted.
Immediately, the rabbit left through that same ear and arrived next to Diana.
"Okay! Okay! I was going to get out anyway, no need to shout like that." Lola said, slightly annoyed. "Besides, what would have happened if I remained there?"
The princess pointed at Giganta, who proceeded to shrink down to the smaller size she had earlier on.
"You would have been crushed by the inside of her skull. I know you're a cartoon character who can survive lots of things, but it likely would have been an unpleasant experience for you." The Amazon explained.
"Oh…Okay then." The rabbit said, not liking the thought of what the superheroine just described.
Wonder Woman then grabbed her lasso and used it to tie Giganta's arms and legs up as tightly as possible, to restrain her from causing even more damage when she'll wake up.
"By the way…" Diana said as she looked at Lola, getting the latter's attention. "Thank you for your valuable help." She said, smiling as she extended her hand.
The rabbit smiled at that.
"You're welcome." Lola said as they shook hands.
End of chapter.
They may have stopped Giganta, but Wonder Woman and Lola are not done as something else will soon happen to them in the next chapter.
This chapter was supposed to be even longer, but I decided to split it into two parts after realizing how long this one already was.
The mayor is a character I created for this chapter. I named him after William Moulton Marston (the creator of Wonder Woman) and Greg Rucka (who wrote several Wonder Woman comics over the years). Both he and Laurie (the little girl) are so far the only named characters I created for this fanfic, and thus the only ones not owned by Warner Bros., unlike everyone else.
