Harry and Hermione's first day of classes in 1975 had finished and the pair found themselves in the Gryffindor common room sat in their usual armchairs, albeit with a very different group of people.

Harry was lounging back in the red chair as he listened to his father telling an elaborate story about some prank he had pulled against his parents over the summer holidays when it finally, truly, hit him.

He and Hermione had travelled through time. And he was meeting his parents. 'I mean come on. Seriously? Time travel?'

He looked towards his father as he told the story with accentuated hand movements. His breath caught in his throat as he stared. 'I really do look like him,' he thought, he had seen pictures and everyone always told him how much he looked like his father, but in this moment as he looked at his teenaged father in front of him he could truly understand them for the first time. He felt a well of emotion in his chest and had to look away before the wetness in his eyes could spring forward, but as he turned he caught the eye of someone else he had never met. His mother.

Harry was having a very hard time keeping the tears behind his green eyes as he stared into the very same eyes he had. His mother smiled at him slightly when they locked eyes and he smiled back as best as he could. For the first time in his life, he was meeting his parents and he didn't know how to feel. Obviously he had met them before, when he was a baby, but he couldn't remember that, the only memory he had was them dying and really, not a very good memory.

He broke eye contact with his mother when Hermione lifted his arm over her shoulder and burrowed into him, her head resting against his chest and he felt like he could breath easier. Having all this uncertainty around him he knew he would always have Hermione, no matter what, by his side.

Said girl looked up, still resting her cheek against his strong chest, brought her hand to his cheek and tilted his face down towards her before pressing a gentle kiss to his lips, pulling away and smiling at him.

'Yeah,' he thought, 'I'll always have her.'

Harry and the marauders were in the boys dormitory, all changing out of their uniforms into sleep clothes.

"So Harry," Remus began and the tall boy turned towards his future uncle as he spoke, "Good first day at Hogwarts?"

"Great day."

"I bet," Sirius snorted, earning a brief chuckle from his dormmates.

"What do you mean?" Harry asked.

"Oh you know. You and Hermione disappear for an hour and come into lesson looking all dishevelled and with a hickey," Sirius teased.

"Piss off," Harry responded, though he couldn't stop the slight smirk that crossed his lips.

"Was it good?" James teased.

"Huh?"

"Was it good?" He reiterated.

"Um." Now Harry had never been a prude, kinda hard to be when you're raised by Sirius, but there was something kind of…icky, about his father asking if sex with his girlfriend was good. Granted the boy didn't know he was his father and was just being a typical teenage boy, but still, Harry couldn't help but feel a little icky.

"Yeah yeah it was…good," He mumbled awkwardly in response as he sat down onto the new bed that had appeared for him, in between James' and Sirius'.

"We could tell, by the way Hermione kept blushing," his godfather joked, hanging upside down over the side of his four poster bed. Harry ignored him by sprawling star fished onto his bed over the top of the covers.

Remus rolled his eyes at his bestfriends and spoke, "I'm glad you enjoyed your first day Harry."

"Thanks Remus," Harry responded before all four boys climbed into bed for the night and fell asleep.

Harry had tried to fall asleep, he could hear the other boys even breathing as they slept, but he couldn't stop thinking.

He was in the past. With the parents he had never known and his much younger godfather and uncle. He had no idea how he and Hermione would get home. Wasn't completely sure if he wanted to right now, I mean, the chance to meet his parents and get to know them, it was something he had always wanted and he wasn't sure if he wanted to give that up. Then he thought of Ron and the Weasley's and Neville and Luna and all their friends and didn't know what to do. He had the chance to know his parents, the one thing he always wished for, but there were people at home he couldn't just leave behind. They were all probably freaking out, Sirius and Remus probably storming through the castle, trying to find any clue of where they could be. Ron was probably just as freaked, his two bestfriends suddenly disappearing. Harry wondered what everyone thought happened to them.

Just as his thoughts were spiralling he heard the dorm room door open slowly and lifted his head from his pillow, seeing the silhouette of his girlfriend come sneaking into the room.

Before he could speak she had crossed the room and pulled back his covers, crawling into bed beside him.

"What are you doing?" He whispered as she threw her leg over his and laid her head on his chest, her arm laying across his stomach.

"Couldn't sleep," she murmured back as she tried to burrow impossibly deeper into him. "You always help."

Harry brought his hand over her shoulder and relaxed back into the sheets, "We can't exactly do that here," He teased.

"No you idiot," she whispered as she lightly smacked his chest, "Just being with you helps."

"I know, you too." He smiled to the darkness and pulled her tighter against him before closing his eyes, hearing Hermione's breath even out just before he drifted off himself.

That's how the boys found them the next morning, Harry spooning Hermione with her holding the hand of the arm that was thrown across her waist up to her chest, fast asleep.

"When did she get here?" Sirius asked loudly to the room, causing the couple to stir slightly before Harry seemed to pull Hermione closer to him and both relaxed further into sleep.

'Adorable," he thought, 'Gross, did I really just call them that?'

James shrugged, "Must've been late."

"Do you think they…?" Sirius asked awkwardly.

"No, we would've heard them," Remus joined in, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.

"Not if they used silencing charms."

"We didn't have sex," A deep, gravelly voice came from the bed and the three boys turned to the bed to see Harry lifting his head from the pillow and looking at them.

"Oh sure," Sirius replied sarcastically.

"We didn't," another, higher voice joined the conversation as the girl in Harry's bed sat up slowly, rubbing her eyes. The boys noticed she was wearing a shirt that seemed much to large for her, assuming it must be Harry's.

"Oh yeah? Then why are you wearing Harry's shirt?" Sirius baited.

"I always wear Harry's shirts to bed," The brunette responded as her boyfriend sat up beside her, pressing a kiss to the top of her head before leaning his cheek against her hair as he closed his eyes again.

"Ok fine, just make sure if you do, you remember silencing charms, we've already had one mishap with James and Lily." Sirius shrugged and started to walk to the bathroom. Harry pulled a disgusted face that luckily no one seemed to notice as that created an image in his head he really did not need this early in the morning. Or ever.

"That was once and we said sorry," James replied exasperatedly, like they had had this conversation many times already.

"One time too many," Sirius shouted back from the bathroom.

Remus rolled his eyes at his friends and began to get ready himself, heading to the bathroom with James not far behind.

Harry and Hermione both stood slowly from the bed and Harry walked her over to the door, "At least this is familiar, the walk of shame back to your dorm."

"Hey!" She smacked his arm lightly but couldn't hide her smile. She stood on her tiptoes and Harry leant down to press a quick kiss against her lips, "See you in ten minutes, love you." She said as she opened the door and stepped out.

"Love you too," he responded before turning towards the bathroom to begin getting ready himself.

After they had all showered and dressed the boys went down to the common room to meet with the girls, someone else talking with Lily that Harry thought looked familiar but couldn't quite place.

"Hey," he greeted the girls as he pulled Hermione to his side, pressing a kiss to her temple, seemingly never able to not have contact with his girlfriend at all times, which, he guessed was true.

"Morning Harry," Lily greeted, "This is my friend Alice."

'Neville's mum,' Harry's mind supplied, now he knew why she looked so familiar, she looks a lot like her son. 'Or I guess he looks like her.'

"Nice to meet you Alice, I'm Harry," he greeted and held his hand out towards the short girl.

"You too Harry," She smiled as she took his hand for a brief handshake.

"Where'd you go last night Hermione, we woke up and you were gone," Lily asked as she turned towards the girl she was speaking to.

"Oh I went-" She began but was cut off by Sirius.

"She and Harry had sex last night and she stayed in our dorm."

Harry rolled his eyes and heard James snort beside him. "No we didn't," He and his girlfriend retorted at the same time.

"I couldn't sleep so I went to Harry because sleeping beside him always helps," Hermione elaborated, a light blush colouring her cheeks.

"Aw that's so cute," Alice spoke, bringing their attention back towards her.

This time it was Harry's turn to blush, "Um, thanks." He replied awkwardly, causing the group to chuckle slightly.

"Anyway, we should head down to breakfast," Lily said before Sirius could speak again, grabbing James' hand and pulling him towards the portrait hole, the group following behind them.
