Chapter 38: Slumber Party at the Castle

Agent BM: Thx, and it was nice having you

It had been a few days since the Shaws got their new castle, and they were enjoying it. It had several bedrooms, Honey and Zeke had one, so did Wanda and Trevor, Sophie got one, and Zack had a nursery.

They also had a couple guest rooms. The castle also had a couple living rooms, a large kitchen and dining room, a gym, a garden outside that was going to be full of flowers, plants, and vegetables. Many bathrooms, a pool, an office for Honey, a library, and even a movie theater.

At first it took a while to get used to the castle. Not only was it a new building, but being in the farmlands and under secop protection there were soldiers patrolling around. But they would get used to it eventually.

One evening, they were in the castle. Honey and Wanda were out in the castle's garden. Trevor was reading his newspaper in the living room. Zeke was practicing in his training room. And Sophie was playing with Zack in the play room.

With her powers, Sophie made his toys float around him. Zack laughed and clapped his hands. It made her happy, to see her little brother happy. Then she dropped them. Then a droid came into the room.

"Excuse me, Sophie. But dinner's ready now."

"Okay."

Sophie picked Zack up, and they went to the dining room.

At the table, the family ate a dinner of chicken and dumplings.

"You know Honey, at first I was skeptical, but I'm really liking the castle." said Zeke.

"I knew you would." Honey told him.

"And even your father likes it. Isn't that right, Trevor?" Wanda mentioned.

"Well...it's not so bad." Trevor admitted.

Wanda and Honey just rolled their eyes, that was her dad.

"Are you enjoying the castle, Sophie?"

"You bet."

Baby Zack then threw a piece of broccoli at Sophie.

"Hey." she said, in playful voice.

Zack laughed, as she playfully pinched his cheek. The adults smiled at seeing the two siblings getting along.

At school the next day, the other kids were asking Sophie about her new castle.

"How many rooms does it have?" asked Snooper.

"What does your new room look like?" wondered Lucy.

"Calm down, guys. I'm still counting the number of rooms we have. And my new room is like my old one, only with more space."

"When can we come over?" Toxic wanted to know.

"Hmm, you know, maybe I can have something. But I have to think of something." Sophie told them.

Then Twilight came in, and got the class started.

That evening, back at their regular house Sophie was playing with Zack while she thought about what to do.

"There must be something, Zack. I mean what would you do?"

But Zack just babbled, as he played with Sophie's fingers.

"(Sighs), of course you don't know, you're just a baby."

After she'd had enough of playing with Zack, she headed back to her room. On her way, she spotted something that caught her eye. It was a kids' magazine about different parties. She quickly picked it up, and looked through it.

"Maybe something in here can help."

She flipped through the pages, she found it.

"A slumber party."

"Ah ha."

The next morning, Sophie brought up the subject with her parents.

"You want to have a slumber party at the castle?" asked Zeke.

"Yeah, I read about it in a magazine." Sophie told him.

"And who would be invited to this slumber party?" Honey wanted to know.

"All the girls in my class."

"Hmm, it sounds like a nice idea for you and your friends." Zeke mentioned.

"I have to agree, you can have a slumber party, Sophie."

"Yes! Thanks Mom and Dad." Sophie cheered.

Zack tried to reach out to her, but Sophie hurried back to her room.

"Come on, Zacky time to eat." Honey said, as she sat down in front of his high chair with a bowl of baby food.

But Zack felt a little sad at Sophie ignoring him.

At school, she informed all the girls in her class about her slumber party idea.

"A slumber party? That sounds fun." said Snooper.

"I'll go." mentioned Reese.

"Count me in." agreed Annaween.

Soon all the girls agreed to come to the party. And once school was over, Sophie began planning her slumber party.

"Hmm, let's see I have the guests, now for the food."

As she was writing down the snacks, Zack crawled into her room. He babbled at her.

"Not now, Zack." she told him.

But Zack kept babbling and trying to get her attention.

"Mom!" Sophie called.

Honey then came into the room, and took Zack away. But Zack wasn't happy about it. For the next couple of days, Sophie was so busy planning her party, that she didn't seem to notice Zack was trying to get her attention.

Honey and Zeke just thought he was being fussy because of teething, so they tried to help him. But Zack just wanted Sophie.

On the day of her slumber party, everything was ready at the castle. The food was laid out in the kitchen, there was pizza, nachos, chips, popcorn, candy, soda, and also ice cream.

"Oh, I can't wait to get this party started." squealed Sophie.

"Just remember not to go too wild." reminded Zeke.

"We won't."

"And try not to make too big of a mess." added Honey, holding Zack in her arms.

Then the doorbell rang, and Honey went over to answer it.

"They're here." said Sophie, running after her.

When Honey opened the door, all the girls were there with their parents.

"Welcome girls, come on in." Honey welcomed.

The girls came in, and went up to Sophie while Honey spoke the the parents.

"This place looks awesome." observed Toxic.

"Come on girls, I'll show you my room." Sophie told them.

"Cool." said Cinnamon.

And they all hurried to her room.

"Wow, this is so much bigger than your other room." said Christie.

"It's almost as big as mine." added Lucy.

"Glad you all like it. Why don't we start this party off with a dip in the pool?" Sophie suggested.

All the girls agreed. After changing into their bathing suits, they splashed around in the water. When they got tired of that, after taking quick showers, they watched a movie in the theater, in Sophie's room they had a pillow fight, and when they got hungry pigged out.

From afar, Zack watched his sister and her friends. He really wanted to be with Sophie. But she was too busy to pay attention to him. Then the girls decided to do facials.

"You know we better take our jewelry off before we put our masks on." suggested Sophie.

"Good idea." replied Lucy.

The girls took off their jewelry, and put it in Lucy's jewelry box. As the girls went to the bathroom, Zack crawled into Sophie's room. He spotted the jewelry box, and then grabbed it. After rattling it around, he then took it out the room.

When the girls came back in from the bathroom, they had green cream on their faces.

"So how long do we keep these masks on?" asked Annaween.

"About forty five minutes, and I have these cucumbers to put on her eyes." Sophie told.

So they each put the cucumbers on their eyes, and waited forty five minutes. After washing off the cream, they noticed their jewelry was gone. They looked around the room, but couldn't find the box.

"Sophie, we gotta find that box, that necklace is a part of me." Lucy told her.

"So's mine, the first nice thing I got when I came here." added Reese.

"And my bracelet." said Snooper.

Then they hear something fall.

"Hey that came from Zack's room." Sophie observed.

"There's no way Zack has my box." Lucy snapped.

"Only one way to find out."

The girls went to Zack's nursery, and saw him playing with the jewelry.

"My necklace and bracelet." Reese called out.

"Zack, that's my favorite necklace, it's expensive." Lucy told him.

She tried to grab her jewelry from Zack, but he wouldn't let go.

"Zack, stop that. You know these aren't toys." Sophie said sternly.

But Zack just whimpered.

"You know, your mom wears the same jewelry as Lucy more or less, maybe he thought they were hers." Annaween suggested.

"Zack's seen me wear mine before." Lucy pointed out.

"Why would he take our stuff?" Toxic thought.

"Maybe he wants attention." thought Lucy.

Sophie looked at her little brother.

"Zack…is that true?"

Zack reached out towards Sophie and whined.

"He's acting like I used to when me and Kevin were a lot younger. He wants his sister." Lucy observed.

Sophie then walked up to him, and picked him up.

"Well you can hang out with us for a while. If that's okay with you guys."

"Of course." Cinnamon replied.

"I think he just wants to play with his sister. You have been spending a lot of time planning this sleepover I know." Christie added.

"As long as he doesn't put my bracelet in his mouth again, he can stay with us." Lucy told.

"Come on Zack."

Zack giggled.

They went back to Sophie's room, the girls played with Zack. They put makeup on him, tickled him, and watched TV together. Then Honey popped into the room.

"Everything all right in here, girls?" she asked.

"Yes, Mom." Sophie said.

Then Honey noticed Zack.

"Zack, what are you doing in here? Bothering the girls?"

She started to pick him up, but Sophie stopped her.

"It's okay, Mom. Zack can stay with us."

"Well, okay then. You all have fun."

And she left. When it came time to go to bed, Sophie had Lucy glitch Zack's crib in.

"I still don't know why he has to sleep with us." Lucy complained, as she glitched back into the room with the crib.

"Because, Zack's getting tired, and since we're going to bed anyway, he can just stay in here." Sophie explained.

Lucy just let it go, and let the siblings do their thing. As the other girls got settled into their sleeping bags, Sophie put Zack in his crib.

"Good night, Zack." she whispered.

Zack smiled his toothless grin at her. And then she tucked him, turned off the light, and went to bed with her friends.
