Lifecycle
In the wilds of Kanto, there was a spider web.
The gossamer strings were supported by two berry trees. It stretched across the field and was quite large. It was almost invisible to the naked eye. Large, pink, ripe berries hung heavy on the tree's branches.
A Venomoth unknowingly approached the web, tempted by nature's bounty. He rested on one of the tree's branches and began to eat, greedily devouring whatever he could grab. The moth soon found the berries on the other tree more appealing and began to fly towards them.
Blinded by hunger, he didn't notice the web between the trees.
And now he was trapped.
He struggled and struggled but only became more entangled in the web. Soon he couldn't move at all and grew fearful of what was to come. The moth dangled upside down, awaiting the consequences of his foolishness.
An Ariados came out from behind some bushes and climbed up one of the trees. From the tree she went onto the web, next to the Venomoth.
"I see you've already wrapped yourself up for me. That was very nice of you," said the spider Pokémon.
The moth Pokémon could not respond. Sticky strings covered his mouth.
Ariados leaned in close. Using her two front legs to pull back a few threads to reach the moth's body, the spider bit him. Fear and adrenaline gave Venomoth the strength to struggle some more. But the poison started working; the moth grew too weary to fight as the poison began to digest him from the inside.
"If it's any consolation, it's just how life works my friend."
"My meal," said Ariados.
The End.
