Another random story idea I just have to share! Insei? No, the real reason why Yuki quit is now here! The insei bit was only an excuse to quit.
Disclaimer: I do not own Hikaru No Go. I do own 1 fake plastic dog poo though.:)
It was a sunny day in Haze Middle school, and the Go club was eating lunch together outside. Hikaru had decided on doing something to Yuki the night before and now decided to carry out his plan. Sai was admiring the trees, so he couldn't disturb his plan.
"Hey Yuki! Do you want some of my meatballs? I can't finish them all." Hikaru questioned the orange haired kid.
"Hmm? Sure I guess." Yuki used a toothpick and punctured two meatballs.
Hikaru watched carefully and Yuki popped the balls into his mouth and chewed.
"So Yuki, do you like them?"
"Yea..I guess they're okay.."
"Are you sure?"
Yuki was beginning to get suspicious. Why did Hikaru need to know?
Hikaru tried to stifle a laugh.
"What's wrong with them?" Yuki demanded.
"Well...'snicker' you see, those weren't any meatballs.." That sentenced earned Hikaru a glare."Because you see...They were..They were ESCARGOT!SNAIL MEAT!"
Unable to hide his laughter anymore, Hikaru burst out laughing while Yuki attempted not to throw up. When his nausea subsided, he slowly rose to his feet, eyes hidden by his bangs and turned towards Hikaru.
"Why you little!"
Hearing this, Hikaru got up and ran as fast as he could with an angry Yuki following.
The next day...
It was lunchtime again, and it seemed that Hikaru hadn't learned his lesson, having a black eye and a lecture from Sai.
"Hey Yuki! I have some cookies from my mom. Want some?" Yuki knew this seemingly innocent sentence held something in them.
"What's wrong with them this time Hikaru?"
"What do you mean? I have no idea about what you're talking about..." Little did Yuki know that Hikaru had crossed his fingers behind his back, hoping Yuki wouldn't notice.
"..." Unsure of Hikaru telling the truth or not, Yuki was suspicious. He smelled them. They smelled normal..Like something he knew, but he just couldn't place it. He decided to chance it.
"Fine..But if something's wrong with them!" Yuki threatened the boy.
He picked one up and chewed. 'Wait a second..Now I remember that smell..It was..DOG BISCUITS!'
Yuki stopped chewing and glared at Hikaru. Realizing that the jig was up, he ran as fast as his legs could take him.
