The sunlight started to slide in through the cracks of the blinds as Harry's eyes fluttered open. He allowed his eyes to adjust to the room, slowly letting his body get used to the idea of waking up. The sheets felt soft and entangled him in warmth that made it extremely tempting to just snuggle his head back into the pillow and forget about going to work.

He heard a sigh next to him and turned his head to see Judy, her body turned toward the wall and buried in blankets. He watched the smooth rise and fall of her chest as she breathed, her blanket slipping to reveal a naked shoulder. Harry scooted closer to her and brought his hand up to the blanket so that he could prevent it from falling further. He let his hand trail down her back, tracing the outline of her spine until he rested it in the curve of her hip and he smiled when she began to show signs of waking up.

"Harry?"

"Mornin' Jude," He kissed her shoulder in response and watched as the clock flipped from 7:29 to 7:30 and inwardly groaned at the thought of leaving this very comfortable bed in order to go downtown to help Penhall with this kid he was trying to bust. On his day off for that matter, Harry reminded himself, wondering how Penhall had managed to persuade him in the first place. He looked at the clock again and down at Judy, who had started to fall back asleep.

Maybe he'd stay here for a few more minutes.
